The hidden map

#The hidden map series#
#The hidden map series#
My first novel for teenagers was THIS MUST BE LOVE, which retells Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream in a modern-day high school, from the POV of the two heroines, Hermia and Helena.Īnd now I'm writing in a new project called SEEKERS! It's a children's book series that I'm writing with Erin Hunter. Derelict ships and hidden bunkers will often have debris or furniture that can be deconstructed for. This section covers any crashed ships, crashed satellites, abandoned facilities, underground bunkers, etc. The Planet Crafter Crashed Ship and Hidden Bunker Locations. MEET MO AND ELLA is tough to find now, but FUN WITH MO AND ELLA should still be out there somewhere. This map reflects that design decision by also featuring East at the top. My first two official books were beginning readers, part of Grosset & Dunlap’s “First Friends” series for kids learning to read. During her travels, she meets a lone Scottish explorer who had stumbled upon this mysterious land of secrets years earlier. The game is a 2D level pixel game in which objects and characters are frozen in the picture, you have to find 20 different objects. An American-Armenian granddaughter of exiled genocide survivors dares to venture to their lost ancestral homeland to uncover long-buried truths. In which you need to find objects with a certain design in beautiful locations, and click on them with the mouse. Much to my parents’ relief, I abandoned my theatrical aspirations after college for the far more stable and lucrative career of fiction writing. Find the objects that are hidden on the map. I graduated from Williams College in ’98 and I currently live in Boston with my husband, my perfect new baby, and my adorable yoodle Sunshine (what’s a yoodle? A puppy that’s three-quarters poodle and one-quarter Yorkshire terrier, of course!). because it was artistically fulfilling, yes.) The blast door map discovered in Lockdown is a map of DHARMA Initiative facilities on the Island discovered by Locke at the Swan. I was born July 31 (same birthday as Harry Potter!) in Caracas, Venezuela, and lived in Asuncion, Paraguay Miami, Florida and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, before moving to New Jersey in high school, where I started doing theatre-mostly backstage work, because (a) it was fun, and (b) you got to hang out in the dark with cute boys. Among the many great things to come out of New Zealand (the Lord of the Rings movies, cats that paint, my mom) is a bird called the tui-not as well known as the kiwi, but a heck of a lot noisier! Tui? What kind of name is that? Is it short for something? Now to the the next part of the last five weeks.Okay, I know what you’re thinking. Kill 1 enemy while in a dinghy motorboat. Two challenges of the same week emphasize this idea: No need for any additional content or game. The map is fully packed, soundscapes included. In order to find these hidden rewards players must either conquer the entirety of the maps, or know beforehand where to look for them. A collection of official maps made for The Hidden, as well as fan made ones. There are three Conquest maps in MLB The Show 22 that include hidden rewards, such as packs, stubs, and XP. These external rules might also give away a potential theme of the map with focus on air and sea. This guide will show you all Conquest map hidden rewards locations in MLB The Show 22. I dont know if this is the final name, a working title or just a placeholder, but its part of a Tides of War challenge ('Win 1 round on The Pacific Ocean') and the word 'on' confirms that its not just a game mode (at least not a regular one).
#The hidden map plus#
Therefore a potential launch in week 8 isn't totally unrealistic and then the cut after week 7 in the menu would make more sense.Ī few very specific settings in the files confirm the map's existence and determine numbers plus repawn time of the following vehicles: There seems to be a new map called 'The Pacific Ocean' coming to the game. This challenge is located in week 9 but last thursday I could already see a few weeks not being in sync with the order in the files. I don't know if this is the final name, a working title or just a placeholder, but it's part of a Tides of War challenge ("Win 1 round on The Pacific Ocean") and the word "on" confirms that it's not just a game mode (at least not a regular one). The pack of maps of the hidden: source maps and more. There seems to be a new map called "The Pacific Ocean" coming to the game.

Dan Stevens & audiobooks
Tumblr media
Many of you will already know that Dan has narrated, or rather performed, more than 30 audiobooks as well as numerous and varied radio dramas & readings.
However, many do not know or realise what a masterful grasp he has on languages, dialects, accents and the ages of the characters, whether they be man or woman, boy or girl.
I am listening, again, to “Fall of Giants” by Ken Follett which has one of the broadest range of characters, each one of which is amazingly “inhabited” by Dan.
Below is a very long list of characters in that book - and remember each is portrayed differently by Dan which makes it such an enjoyable “listen”. It is an amazing performance and I truly hope that one day he will find some time to provide us with more audiobooks to enjoy.
Those who already enjoy these works will need no convincing, and they will have many favourites, as do I, especially work such “My Dear I Wanted To Tell You”, “The Invisible Ones”, “History of A Pleasure Seeker”, “Wolf Hall”, “War Horse”.......and more

i want to make it known that i believe the two maleficent movies ( 2014 + 2019 ) are perfect as they are. they told the story meant to be told well and i would not change a single thing about them. however, i am a  book-based maleficent.  there are four books: the first two take place in the first movie. book one is quite literally the movie script with a lot of cut content and information. book two is about aurora, the pixies, and a faerie named robin. book three is the biggest book and has  no parts of it told  in the first or second movies. it takes place in the five years between aurora becoming queen of the moors and marrying prince phillip. most of the stuff you see in this post is from that book. and finally, the fourth book is the second movie.
below are things from all four books that i am adopting as part of my canon and that i am sharing with you as someone whose read and loved all four of them. this is how i will write maleficent. the books are a treasure trove and equally as funny and enjoyable as the movies are. i will be keeping this post brief and with bulleted information, too.
BOOK ONE / TWO,
young stefan never returned the stolen stone. he had two - and he took the second one and eventually gave it to queen leila as a marriage gift.
leila loved the fair folk. she didn’t agree with king henry, and its important to note because she would’ve never hurt maleficent or any of the fair folk. she is very much your 1959 sleeping beauty’s ‘briar rose’.
king henry wasn’t killed by maleficent, but by stefan. he brought her wings to him and henry laughed and said he would never make a servant king. stefan smothered him with a pillow and forged the document declaring him king.
maleficent’s parents are named lysander and hermia.  they were killed in the war against humans, but they truly believed in peace between the humans and the fair folk.
because lysander and hermia were killed when maleficent was young,  a faerie named robin raised her  and she was raised under the rowan tree.
the whole story takes place in scotland. aurora, stefan, maleficent are all scottish.
BOOK THREE,
aurora’s kingdom ( or what was stefan’s ) is called perceforest.
keeping perceforest part of my narrative is crucial because the peace in the moors and perceforest aids the future peace of ulstead and the moors. the fair folk would’ve never entered ulstead had perceforest not come first.
maleficent had a role in perceforest: she helped brighten it after stefan’s reign in exchange for protection against outside threats in the moors; and curiously enough, she often travelled alone through it’s vast lands - through weaverton, summerhill, and beyond.
when aurora is in perceforest and maleficent in the moors, they have a dove named burr ( who is all white dove with a black head ) who exchanges correspondance between them.
the movies gave aurora a throne in the moors ... i will be ignoring this. in the books maleficent gives aurora an  entire palace of flowers,  stone walls, dreaming spires, glowing lanterns, and blossoming boughs.
the fair folk used to be called the ‘shining ones’; in the days before king henry there used to be peace between the races. king henry destroyed it and the generations that followed had people grow up only believing the fair folk were dangerous. old people in perceforest, like nanny stoat, remember when the faeries and humans were kindly to one another.
the fair folk are immortal.  the word ‘old’ is not part of their language. maleficent will outlive aurora.
there are many scenes with maleficent and prince phillip. he did earn her trust and she gave him free reign in the moors. he can come and go as he pleases. this step is crucial in her coming to accept his marriage to aurora in the second movie.
another scene had maleficent protecting phillip. lord ortolan and count alain set a trap for the both of them and maleficent tried to save him. here is the quote from the book, ‘”phillip, run!” maleficent called to him. he had to get away. he had to find aurora.’ they worked together to free themselves from the prison.
prince phillip is bisexual  and i directly quote from the books, ‘with his caramel curls and a careless smile he bestowed on everyone, he turned the heads of most of the women and half the men in the room.’
maleficent signed the peace treaty between the moors and perceforest along with nanny stoat, who served as the representative of the humans.
BOOK FOUR,
maleficent’s emotions and magic are inherently connected to the moors. the moors are also the birthplace of all fair folk.
unicorns used to exist but no more, the last killed off by humans in recent years.
after aurora lives in maleficent’s palace of flowers, maleficent decides to live in the old cottage that once belonged to the pixies. she has left it exactly as it is, even the baby cradle is still there.
the centre of the nest is called the great tree. when a dark fey dies they become part of the tree, and in the centre of the tree are the bones of an old phoenix.
lickspittle was queen ingrith’s prisoner and was promised freedom if  he killed every faerie.
maleficent absorbed conall’s spirit when he died. she is able to absord the spirits of deceased dark fey and make them her own, making her stronger. and the great tree tree absorbed what was left of his body.
diaval has a romantic interest ... it is a cat named arabella who maleficent transforms into a human. get out of here with your maleficent / diaval stuff. this blog does not ship maleficent with anyone! leave her alone!

@unfinishcdbusincss sent: "You! You there!" Without a second thought to who may be watching or what might come of it, Lucy lifted up her skirts and crossed the cobbled street immediately, stopping only when she managed to take Hermia by the arm. Vivid blue eyes ran up and down her gleefully as cupid bow lips spread into a smile. "Oh, yes, you're just the thing! I'm Lucy Westenra, and if you're not otherwise engaged this evening, I simply MUST have you at my party! People should wonder that we're not sisters, you and I!"

Hermia stammered as Lucy -- a very fine, delicate lady indeed, with a fine, delicate name -- took her arm and began chattering. Was this woman aware Hermia had mud on her hem and dirt on the elbows of her jackets? Sure they both had bright red curls but it mattered little when one considered how obviously different they were, from body language and nature -- surely no woman like Lucy would ever be caught dead in a fist fight -- nor certainly accent.
If not for the incredibly familiar touch -- or perhaps because of it -- Hermia was sure Lucy was somehow making fun. She never did cut a pretty figure, and on the rare chance she did, Hermia managed to tear or stain her clothes almost immediately. “Are ye mockin’ me, Lass?”
She snorted unprettily and fell into laughter, shaking her head. “Aye, they’d wonder at our hair alone. Then I open me gob and they dismiss me as yer wee monkey and little else, aye?” Hermia was Scottish -- almost oppressively so -- and while her fine sister may have made up for it with her fine mannerisms and dear, dear wife, Hermia was all gruff and brogue, right down to the dirt under her fingernails.

Often I find patterns and connections across the texts, which could be my subconscious mind helping me to remember various and distinct narratives simultaneously. It may be pure coincidence - or nothing at all - upon which I dreamily apply meaning; patterns found where patterns are sought. 🦚 When I picked up LOTE, I knew nothing but the cover. When I began reading I expected not a single connection to form between this & my other current reads. 🦚 LOTE is a contemporary work of fiction, published for the #Twentyin2020 initiative promoting "Black Writers, British Voices". LOTE's protagonist, Mathilda, is a multiplicitous figure; she's creative & academic, driven & evasive, rebel & restorator. She is obsessed with forgotten figures of the 1920s art scene, specifically Scottish Black modernist poet, Hermia Druitt. 🦚 Mathilda follows threads obsessively, seeking to discover everything she can about Druitt. Von Reinhold invites Black, queer historical figures out from the fringes and into the spotlight to stand beside their fictional counterparts. Side by side, I am unsure which belong to our world and which to Mathilda's; but I suppose that's the point... or part of it. I too am interested to learn more of the Bright Young Things and Black Modernism. 🦚 Reminiscent -in specific ways- of Moshfegh's 'My Year of Rest and Relaxation', how does this contemporary exploration of art, aestheticism, and Black & queer erasure connect with Homer?! As it turns out, explicitly... 🦚 LOTE reveals itself in unexpected ways & I don't want to spoil a thing. 👉Swipe through for a glimpse of the conscious link from von Reinhold to Homer... the fascinating way that these minor Homeric characters are applied, by Erskine Lily, as a way of understanding societal rejection of select identities. ⚜Read it? I'd love to hear your notes on LOTE 🖤! https://www.instagram.com/p/CaAMNfLgnkl/?utm_medium=tumblr

History:
( TW: Car Accident, Infant Death & Adultery )
I. Winnifred had a particularly “normal” childhood, for nothing too extraordinary happened. She didn’t grow up in a circus or have infamous parents and the only dragons she saw were the ones her brothers pretended to be when they played in the backyard. She, of course, was always the heralding princess/damsel-in-distress, but in real life, Winnie was nothing like that. She was a strong, independent child with a knack for the cello. Quite studious too, one could often find her nestled in some corner, tucked away in between the vivid pages of fantasy novels. She dreamed of a life far more exciting than boring old Canada where the routine was pretty much the same. Day after day, night after night. This only added to the fact that she had four other siblings, two of them being twins so she often got pushed aside. She wasn’t a twin, nor the first born girl so she often got lost in the mix. Nonetheless, her parents gave her all the affection they could give despite their hectic schedules for her father was a neurosurgeon and her mother, a therapist. The young girl went to school, then to her afterschool activities such as soccer or cello practice and finally back home to help with dinner and do her homework. Her father was of Jewish descent and her mother, Scottish, but she often went to a synagogue since her mother wasn’t particularly religious and didn’t mind her children following the Jewish Faith. That was pretty much the gist of her everyday life in the dreary city.
II. In high school, she did rather well for herself, she broke out of her timid unnoticeable shell and branched out to more sociable groups. Winnifred had a personality that was very laid back and easy going, so meshed with quite a few different circles. She was captain of the debate team, co-captain of the cheerleading squad, homecoming queen and president of her class. Yes, she breezed through high school with flying colors. She had the attention of her peers, one in particular. His name was Liam Duncan and he was the first boy to ever notice her – truly notice her. And instead of dating the captain of the football team like most high school dramas, she fell for the so called “bad boy”; the alternative guy that was from the wrong side of town and worked in his father’s mechanic shop. Not only that, but he was soulful, poetic and actually choose to be alone. Very little in common with his older brother, Altman’s former golden boy, Learner who died two years prior. Liam had bigger dreams than Altman, hoping to move to Los Angeles when high school was over and pursue a career in music. Winnifred fell for his charms whilst tutoring him in math and ever since the two were inseparable. They were the “it” couple, the couple everyone talked about and quite simply “couple goals” deemed by most of their classmates; despite his lower reputation. They spent all of the sophomore and junior year dreaming of a life they would share after high school. They would move to California and Winnie would attend Stanford for animal studies whilst Liam would go to Los Angeles to try and get a record deal. Then the two would meet on weekends and continue their blossoming relationship that felt a lot like love. The sickening kind of love one saw on movie screens and teenage melodramas. But midway through their senior year, Winnie learned she was pregnant. That meant bye bye college, bye bye California, bye bye everything they had ever dreamed of. Winnie was hesitant to have the child because she so dearly wanted to go to college but Liam convinced her they could make this work, with the baby. The two didn’t mention it to her parents since she wasn’t even showing yet and they heavily considered running away after graduation. But Winnie had too much respect for her parents to do such a dreadful thing. The two lived in a blissful state of mind, excited about the prospects of their upcoming family. That was until prom night, senior year. The two had gotten in a fight since Liam refused to go to the school dance. He claimed the pair always hung out with her friends and he was tired of them always looking down on him. So she went alone, but that didn’t stop her from dancing with another guy. It was one dance and perhaps somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew Liam would show up and see them. And he did. To say he wasn’t happy was an understatement; he was livid. He stormed out of the gymnasium and towards his car with Winnifred rushing after him in years. The two then got into the car and started to drive whilst continuing their heated argument. Winnifred berated the young man, stating how he knew these things were important to her; she knew they were just “silly high school dances” that wouldn’t mean a thing in years to come, but she wanted so much to have a good time. Before their freedom was practically taken away from them due to their child. Life would be hard from then on and she wanted to enjoy what little youth she had left. Liam just scoffed her off, his foot pressing on the acceleration more and more as his voice raised in anger. And then the climax, there was a bright light, some screaming and then a quite swerve. After that, everything went black. Liam was barely hurt but Winnie ended up in the hospital, her injuries making her lose the baby. Feeling heartbroken over their lost child, Winnifred’s heart further broke when she realized it was time to say goodbye to her dream; her first love, her Liam.
III. After high school, Winnie got accepted into Standford and moved to California like she had planned. She hadn’t spoken to Liam, but the last thing she heard was that he moved to New York City, ran off with some girl that could make him happy. Winnie was a sullen shell of the girl she used to be after losing her baby and her love. The outgoing, passionate side of the girl seemed to quickly disappear, replaced with a gray matter. But nevertheless, she persisted. She was more drawn back in college, more restless at the haunting memories of all that could’ve been. That was until she met Lillian Peters. She was a swimmer and the resident assistant in Winnie’s shitty dorm. Winnifred had always known she was attracted to girls but never got the chance to explore her sexuality due to her long-term relationship with Liam. The two had a rocky start for one, Lillian had a boyfriend whom she seemed to be content with. And two, Winnie could barely get out a word around the girl, her ego being severely bruised after the events that prolonged in high school. Despite these obstacles, the two became friends, helping each other study, going to parties together and taking small road trips on the weekends. Her days were filled with Lillian, not Liam, but she still felt a sense of hopelessness. She wondered if her heart would ever open again and one night, the two finally found their way together. The couple was together Winnie’s first two years of college and Winnie finally felt as if she could breathe again. Lillian brought her back to life; not just surviving, but really living. For the longest time, she felt so broken and Lillian seemed to pick up the pieces and remind her she was whole. But then Lillian’s last year of university, she got a scholarship to go swim in Ireland and it was an offer she couldn’t refuse. Winnie was happy for the girl, but it did hurt, to be abandoned again. The two figured a long distance relationship wasn’t in the cards for them and thought they could always try again when they were older. After that, Winnie spent some time alone, not wanting to get close to anyone who could so easily leave again.
IV. Her senior year of college is when she met Nicholas Andrew Jennings. He was a Harvard graduate, on vacation in California; little did Winnie know it was to see his then girlfriend. The two met when he came into the diner with his friends and at the time, Winnie was waitressing in her free time. He was instantly infatuated with the young girl’s beauty and wit, but she quickly declined his advances. Soon, he came into the diner every day, ordering coffee and french fries, just to talk to her. At the end of two months, she relented and finally went out on a date with him. He was charming and willing to move slow, which made her feel safe and comforted. He didn’t seem like most of the asshole guys she had encountered, being a little older so possibly more mature. Her final year of college, the two officially started dating, but on their six month anniversary, she realized she had once again, gotten pregnant. The man, now entering business school at Yale, suggested that he marry her, even though the two hardly knew each other. And at first, she declined because she wanted to be in love when she got married, not just some arrangements his parents made him choose. As the months passed by, she soon realized how hard it would be to juggle schooling and a baby, alone. So she married him for the sake of the baby’s life. She saw single mothers and how hard their lives were, especially since she still wanted to continue working towards her degree. The two got married and settled down on the east coast. By then, she had graduated from Stanford with honors and after having her child, she was hoping to go back to school. But her schooling took a backseat to building a stable life, for the moment she laid eyes on her daughter, her Zosia she fell in love. She vowed that she would do whatever it took to give this child, a happy life filled with love and adventure. She resisted turning into a helicopter mother as long as possible, for she didn’t want to be an overbearing mother that eventually pushed her kids away. No no, she refused to be that parent and soon one kid turned into four; Zosia, Aaron, Barbara, and Tessa. Before she knew it, she was wearing yoga pants and taking her kids to soccer practice and complaining out the school system.
V. Nicholas was not the love of her life, for the passion she had previously felt with her other partners outweighed what she felt in her marriage by miles. By it wasn’t a loveless one either. The two grew together in a union that closely resembled strong affection, bordering on love. But the question whether they were in love or not always seemed to loom around. They didn’t often fight and when they did it was mostly about trivial things like who did the dishes last or coming home late and to outsiders, they absolutely adored each other. Together, they were the ultimate parenting team, always switching roles of good cop/bad cop. But it was no secret which parents the kids liked best; for their mother was full of motherly kindness and was around a lot more. And whilst Nicholas was climbing his way up the corporate latter, Winnie went back to school once her kids were in high school. She soon got her doctor’s degree in Veterinary science at Cornell University and began working at a local clinic.
VI. When she was thirty-eight, their picture perfect life seemed to shatter and it all started with the crack in the foundation. Rumors circulated that Nicholas had been spending a little too much time with his secretary, but the man convinced his wife it was just idle gossip. But Winnifred wasn’t stupid, she knew all the late phone calls, abrupt business meetings and carelessly thought out lies added up to. Her husband was having an affair. Not that she was terribly surprised, their marriage had quickly drained of any sexual behavior. But she still vowed that she would not continue raising their kids in an unhappy marriage. So she took their kids and went to stay with her parents for a couple weeks to let him figure things out. When she came back, he claimed he has broken things off but instead, he got the woman pregnant unbeknownst to his wife. Believing him, the couple went to therapy to try and repair what little was left of their marriage, but it quickly spiraled after the police arrested him. News broke that he had been embezzling and taking part in a Ponzi scheme that drained 80 million dollars worth of people’s money. The company chalked it down to a “glitch” in the algorithm, but Winnie knew what really happened after she found out her husband’s latest business trip was to Geneva, not D.C. The man had done wrong and Winnie was not going to “stand by her man” and all that crap. She was going to leave his lying, cheating ass and make sure he never went near her kids again. As the trials proceeded, Winnie went to go stay with her parents, her reputation being sorely disheartened from all the vicious lies. “They lived in the same house together, how could she not know?” They all whispered behind her back. But she had nothing to hide so when the investigators started looking into her finances, she came out clean as a whistle. Because of the company’s high status in the stock world, the trials were highly publicized and the veterinarian was soon bombarded daily by cameras and reporters. It wasn’t until midway through the trail when the knowledge of her husband’s secret child became public and that seemed like the final straw and quickly filed for a divorce. Rebuilding the pieces of her life was hard; for everything they had shared was now gone. She found stable work in Hickory Creek, a nice town that reminded her of Altman and since her last kid was in college, she needed worry about them as she began anew.
