#Sean the Slowking
Text
So I am now heading to the Paldea region, and I’m waiting for my work visa to let me get through so I can have a elongated stay as well as the permit to camp in places and such. But there’s been a small issue.
They’re unsure if my team is able to go into the Paldea region. Sean is fine, and I’m glad as I need someone to be my translator but I will be missing Forger, Fuzzbutt, and most importantly Gregory. My Pokémon partner for forever might not be able to join me on my next step of my adventure. I am truly sad.
If that’s the case, he will be staying with my wife. But I will truly miss him in the meantime.
This next week will be very difficult, as well as this leg of the journey.
Hopefully I can get someone to be my temporary strongman.

Can you tell me any care tips you have to help a Agressive Hydreigon get used to Domestic living. Hyde(named for his occasional flipping between docile and angry behavior) has been with me for 4 years, he was originally the pokemon of a particularly horrible hunter who drugged his pokemon to make them stronger as well as dull down their behavior, making them basically obedient puppets, he was raised to be aggressive to take down wild pokemon quickly and with out mercy.
The hunter tried hunting down a Rayquaza, which was mega evolution capable(recent studied show that only certain Rayquaza are capable of mega evolving at all, likely descendents of family groups that were exposed by the Kalosian Ultimate Weapon's blast when it entered the upper atmosphere. I was able to help the Rayquaza by using my dad Keystone to help it mega evolve. It left afterwards, and we apprehended the hunter, but Hyde's pokeball broke, and the rush of the battle had flushed the drugs out of his system, and he started rampaging, my Sylveon, Varian, and Audino, Varia, were able to apprehend him and I quickly caught him in a ultra ball, which I later swapped him into a Friend ball at the pokemon center.
Due to the species natural alignment with aggressive behavior because of human pressure in the past, as well as being under pressure in general(being the hunting pokemon of that hunter), its been a long process to be able to even pet his snout, much less show give him an affectionate pet under the jaw. The fact I have a few fairy types, doesn't help him because of his instincts basically screaming at him 'fight, danger, predators, fight, Danger, danger, run, fight'. I know that Hydreigon are receptive to music, especially emotionally inspiring music, so I've built his Den, yes, i built him a fully dedicated den in the backyard with concrete and rubar, with speakers inside to softly play a soundtrack of emotionally inspiring songs, primarily songs like Under Pressure, True Kinda Love, and even the Trainer Anthem. I know he likes them cause when hes in his more docile moods I can hear him humming and purring the melody of the songs.
The doctors at the pokemon center think he might have some condition, I forget the name, but its basically, blind and irrational anger that'll set him into a tantrum, anger even he won't understand, one of the more cynical ones immediately said he should be taken from me and put down, some thing I near immediately attacked him for even saying. His colleagues were not happy with him. I also have a Slowking that I've placed into a Therapy pokemon teaching Program, Hyde had a Slowking Therapist before, but he's recently been getting less and less receptive at times, his aggression rising randomly out of nowhere and nearly attacking Her(the slowking therapist). So I figured having a familiar face also help would work, plus my Slowking, Orion, is an experienced battler unlike the original therapist, and can stop Hyde from going on a rampage when he loses control with Hypnosis and Psychic, and Baton Passing Calm Mind boosts.
Hyde isn't one of my battlers. He's been placed on some meds for the sake of the Dissociative anger condition he has. And he's been starting to just try to avoid people and other pokemon in general, something I see as some form of process, cause he clearly doesn't want anyone near him if he goes into another Irrational Blind rage.
There have been only one instance I've battled with him, when that Hunter came back for revenge. I was nearly wiped off the face of the earth by not one, not two, but THREE HYPER BEAMS, all with the Delivery Factor(i have a post under my (#sean's expanded pokefacts) tag) turned off, then Hyde comes flying in, and takes the hit, not only saving my life, but putting him on the literal line between life and death, he had so much of his scales and skin burned off, I could see HIS RIBS, its a miracle he didn't get completely incinerated, much less didn't keel over then and there. But he just stood up, looked back at me, and turned towards the Hunter and his pokemon, and roared. It felt like the very world was roaring out in defiance, to protect. I cried so much through out the battle, Hyde wouldn't back down no matter how much I begged him, he just kept fighting, he listened to every battle order I had except to return, he even Used the move Return, and OHKO the Mega Tyranitar(i have no clue how this fucker got a Mega Wave bracelet, that knockoff Keystone that basically mind controls pokemon it mega evolves) with it.
He won the entire battle, and when we got him to the pokemon center, he was taken into Intensive care for two weeks, and somehow, despite everyone thinking he'd be dead on night one, he survived for two weeks and made a miraculous recovery. This was three months ago, and I've only just recently been able to pet him on the snout.
Anything you can recommend I do? I've been thinking of trying to do music myself, like that Ryuki guy in Alola.
(-note, the Cynical guy that said Hyde should be killed, tried to kill him while he was in Intensive care, full on tried to Murder Hyde with fucking poison, while he was practically half dead, after saving my God damn life. When he was caught, thankfully before he could do anything, I may have attacked him, utterly shattered his jaw and shoulder. He was also Fired and completely humiliated, he'll never be a doctor again. I also didn't get in trouble for attacking him, I did get a Warning from Officer Jenny, but even she was smiling at what I did to that ass)
Wow that's, a lot.
Well first off is try to keep the fairy types away, good job in getting him his own space and giving him something he really enjoys, that being music. It seems as if he's bonded to you rather well if he was willing to take that massive of a hit for you.
Now I hate to say it but you might not ever get on the same level of, well affection as me and my hydreigons, you said yourself they're wired to more aggressive tendencies, all dragons are tbf, hydreigons just get a worse rep because dark type. And especially with Hyde it sounds like with his past he might never want affection like you're used to. The closest you might ever get is touching his snout. He's a dragon, and dragons, especially dragons that have been hurt like he has, might never trust again.
Now, personally I'd take him to a dragon specialist, if you can find a hydreigon specialist I'd take him there @ask-professor-dracaena is a good resource and very good at handling very aggressive mons. I'm good with the normal day to day stuff but if there's hormone issues or the fact that there is some residual damage from the drugs he was on for victini knows how long. They'd be able to help.

So. Donphan. Past and future versions apparently.
Did not expect to see both in the Asado desert
Did not expect to have to fight both at the same time. If it wasn’t for Sean, I would’ve been a goner. But thankfully they’ve been subdued for a bit and I was able to get some research on them. These are definitely invasive species though and should be removed. I’m catching them, but I’m not going to use them until I can fully examine each of them

So turns out Sean can learn a new move called Chilling Reception. Got curious and he remembered how to do it
Yeah all he does is tell bad jokes, runs, and summons a snowstorm.
Surprisingly the joke is the worse part.

Sean and I have been traveling a lot. Been hearing rumors of these titan Pokémon that I want to take a look at, as well as paradox Pokémon. Something about a new form of Donphan too that I want to investigate. Pads is cute, reminds me of Fuzzbutt. He likes to nuzzle me and cause some paralysis so carrying around heals certainly helps. I wonder what he will evolve into?
Also I keep feeling like I’m being watched….

Arrived in Paldea last night around 11:00, went to bed and got up and began to explore. Was a little hard to focus with Gregory not traveling with me, but I still have Sean here, though without Fuzzbutt and Forger I do feel like the team isn’t going to really work since we don’t have everyone
So, I caught some new guys. For starters we now have a Pawmi, which seems to be like Pikachu. I’ll name him….Pads.
For now, not too much more, but we’ll see where everything goes

What Pokémon do you have on your team since machamp joltik and smeargle aren’t there?
Oh god I miss the others...poor Gregory, he's never been away from me for so long...
Ahem, anyway.
Right now I have Sean of course, then I brought in Mocks the Mimikyu as it is able to use Mimic, then some new ones include Pads the Pawmot as my new source of slowing down Pokemon for me to research and defend me if need be, and then Legs the Toedscool in order to hold down Pokemon for medical research or if I need samples.
I have a few new research subjects as well, Legs being one of them in the whole Covergent species with Tentacool (now I have to capture one) and I am looking into terastalizing, but I need to find the right Pokemon for it first. More research subjects to come as well.

So I discovered that the thing that has been following me is a….Tentacool? But on land? It’s green and weird and when I tried to have Sean talk to it, it just….said random noises?
I’ve been trying to catch it but failing as it keeps RUNNING AWAY.
But I find this Pokémon very interesting….

Caring for your Pokemon: Passimian/Oranguru
Now ususally I focus on fighting types primarily but since these two are a bit of a duo, I thought I might as well talk about them together!
Oranguru, one of the more intelligent Pokemon out there, makes it raise questions about who truly is the smartest Pokemon? Would it be Alakazam who has an IQ of 5000? Or Metagross who has four brains? Perhaps, but can they instruct another Pokemon to perform a move? Can they actually throw a Pokeball? Can they communicate in an entirely different language, like perhaps, human? (Am I bias because Sean? Perhaps, but I digress). Ahem, anyway. Oranguru are mostly solidarity creatures, so don't expect them to be all trustworthy and willing to listen. It takes a certain amount of trust and in some cases, higher intellect to train an Oranguru. Once they come to think of you as their trainer, they will be more willing and could even help train other Pokemon if need be.
Now Passimian on the other hand are very social Pokemon, often being in groups of 20 with each having a different role, so a Passimian in a group of 6 will develop some slight change issues. Making sure everyone has a part to play and to reassure your Passimian that 6 is not the end of the world. They might attempt to throw berries at you if you don't do a very good job though (trust me, I have experience in that). If you keep training your Passimian in a smaller group, they will get used to it and be a great part to your team.
My recommendations for Pokemon to assist, for Oranguru some higher intellect Pokemon, such as Dragonite, Metagross, or Slowking! However if you put a Pokemon that is slightly less intelligent, it could develop a bond with them, but it is a risky move to play. Best bet is a Slowpoke, so in case of emergencies you can evolve them into a Slowking if need be. As for Passimian, very teamwork Pokemon, so Krokorok, Tauros (any version), or Luxio work.

Hex has evolved! He doesn’t talk, but he’s definetly more intelligent. He seems to be having a good time with Sean. However something is off with him, as if the Slowpoke isn’t in control. Some more research will have to be applied.

Do you find it weird when more huminoid pokémon are treated as pets? (i.e. giving a lucario or machop a food bowl of pellets vs. a plate and seat at the table)
I personally don’t care what other people do. When our Pokémon eat wherever they choose to. Kingpin eats with his gang outside, Blub and Lockpick don’t eat, Fuzzbutt eats static so he’s wherever he wants, Forger and Crusher both eat in private, Sean and Gregory will sit at the table if they choose, but sometimes they sit on the floor.
Also pellets are what they are supposed to eat. It gives the Pokémon the nutrition and benefits that food does. You can feed a Pokémon items like meat or vegetables, but it would all depend on what Pokémon, and diets can be different. The pellets are just easier (I’ve tried them too, they’re not bad). Sean is the only one that doesn’t eat pellets, and that’s because he eats aquatic plants like seaweed.

Has Sean ever eaten a slowpoke tail? Have any of you?
I....haven’t....and I’m not sure if I want to test this out with the team....

What's your favorite dish to cook while traveling?
Burger Curry if we’re going with the curries, but I personally like making spaghetti and meat sauce. Gregory likes anything with protein in it, Sean will eat anything as long as it’s good, Fuzzbutt just eats static (surprisingly the hardest one to feed) and Forger likes bread. Spaghetti is the one that satisfies all of us though.

So from spending so much time in working on creating an artificial Pokemon and failing (the brainstorming took me two weeks), I decided to take a break and observe some of my newer caught Pokemon when they’re not doing tasks.
Speeds has a bit of an ego, and thinks he’s the fastest, but was unable to beat Spooks and Anubis in a race. He then spent time brooding and roosting a ways away from the camp, clearly hurt until Sean gave him a small talk. He now walks around, looking at everyone else as if keeping an eye on them, as if they’re part of his flock. I don’t know what Sean said to him, but it clearly left an impact. He’s a prideful bird.
Spooks is very curious, and keeps trying to touch everything that’s in his reach, I had to put many things on guard as Spooks being a ghost, it’s difficult to keep a hold of him, so the more delicate and dangerous items have one guard on duty while I’m working.
Striker and Fatal spend their time studying each other’s strikes, Gregory often joins in on these study sessions. It seems that despite them being entirely different Urshifu’s with different strike forms, they still believe in learning from each other, even teaching Gregory how to do their strikes. That is a true warrior right there.
Porthos, Aramis and Athos often stay out of the way, keeping to themselves or training their swords. D’Artagnan has warmed up to everyone else, but it’ll be a while for the other Swords of Justice, especially Athos. All in due time though.

Update on things:
So after the big adventure of catching Spooks the Marshadow, I might as well talk about some other stuff that I have been doing that got pushed back.
I kept my research on Hex and I discovered something, Hex is no longer in control of the body, it’s now the Shellder that controls everything. I’m not sure what to do with this information, and Sean isn’t too happy with all this either. It seems the Shellder still likes being called Hex though, so this raises more questions.
I have been on the hunt for the Swords of Justice and tracking their footprints around the place. I have found all data on Cobalion and Terrakion, and now on the hunt for Virizion.
Striker and Fatal (the two Kubfu I received from Mustard (yes it’s been a while since I talked about them) are ready to take on the two towers and evolve, so I will be challenging them tomorrow morning.
I went looking for the ruins around the Crown Tundra with Gloria, and have found Regice and Regirock. We searched inside and found a lot of history about the time that this Pokemon was sealed away. I wonder about Registeel and these new Regis that I’ve heard about.
Heard rumors of a King of Bountiful Harvests, no such luck in finding them, but I’ll see them someday perhaps.
Visited this Dynamax tree and met what looked like a Galarian version of the three legendary birds. Doing some research, it seems that they are psychic, dark, and fighting. With that I am now on a hunt for the Galarian Zapdos, and then see about finding a Kantonian Zapdos and comparing the two. Gregory is very interested in meeting this Pokemon with powerful legs.
Gregory has taken a like to Spooks as well. They’ve been doing a lot of training with each other, trading blows. Surprisingly Spooks has not won against Gregory yet.
That’s all for now, a long post I know but I had a lot to catch up on.
