The Sound of Silence
Prologue: Albert and Amelia
I'm in the midst of writing a Stardew Valley fanfic. I have the link to the Ao3 on another post and below as well. It's been so long since I've written or RP'd. However, I started playing SDV and a certain man and his frogs got me feelin' creative. I am DYING because I am having so much fun writing this and writing little books to @sheacrowley when it comes to ideas. She's the real MVP.
Please give me all of the constructive criticism your heart desires. Or praise, that feels nice too.
The Sound of Silence is a SebastianxFarmer fic with a sprinkle of the other bachelors bc I feel like they're all a lil flirty when you get their hearts up, so everyone is into the farmer (for the most part).
CW: Domestic Violence, Depression, Anxiety, intrusive thoughts, self-depreciation, minor and major injury, self-harm (maybe), drinking and smoking cigarettes. NOTE: These will be updated as the chapters are written

Amelia Rowe needed to get out of Joja and her relationship.
After an argument, something clicked and she made her escape to the farm that her grandfather left behind close to 20 years ago. She made fast friends with the town doctor and the local goofball, and she was seemingly tolerated by his broody (unfairly attractive) best friend.
Will she be able to start fresh without her past ruining everything? Will she be able to put it all behind her or will she be unable to keep the dark thoughts under control?
****** The prologue can be skipped - it is all backstory and, while helpful, it will not make or break the story. Ao3 link at end*****
Albert Rowe (affectionately called Pop) renamed the farm Stardop Fields after 50 years because he found one of the strange fruit after making it deep into the mines in his search for ore. Upon tasting it, his mind was engulfed in the thoughts of his late wife, Margie.
Previously, Pop worked in a steel mill off on the east coast by the Chesapeake Bay. He grew tired of his life there, the danger and overworking weighing heavily on his soul and his health. He gathered every penny of his savings and bought a plot of land in the Ferngill Republic, quickly falling in love with the life of farming. Soon after, he pursued the heart of Margie (despite the initial reluctance on her part).
Al was 24 when he moved to Stardew Valley and married Margie after just 6 seasons of living there. They were married for 49 years before Margie suffered a stroke and passed away. He quickly took to art in his spare time, drawing and painting anything that took his interest. He loved to draw self-portraits and ads (whether parodies or realistic) for some of his favorite products. He even won a small bit of gold in a contest for a shaving company. Naturally, he had that portrait framed.
Together, they raised two children, both girls that were raised in a home full of love and hard work. Amelia’s mother, Joy, was the younger of the two, being 31 when Amelia was born. She has one older sister, Helen. Her aunt, Janet, was 4 years older with two children, Jane and Eliza.
She didn’t talk to her aunt or cousins very often. She got closer to Eliza when Aunt Jane passed away during an unfortunate complication during surgery. Given that her uncle was estranged and committed, Amelia’s mother adopted Eliza, 13, at the time of her Mother’s death. Amelia was 10. Jane, already 24, had gone off on her own, living in another state with her fiancé. Unfortunately, all contact had been lost.
Amelia’s father was nothing short of abusive toward both Amelia and Helen, though he seemed to take out most of his anger on Helen. Joy had been married to Dan for 10 years before he cheated on her with an employee. Joy found the text messages in a second cell phone he bought without her knowing. She endured most of his verbal abuse, and the infidelity was a welcome out from the marriage.
Amelia immediately became depressed, her grandfather having passed only 2 years prior. He was her hero, introducing her to art. She would spend a week or so every summer in Pelican Town, learning the basics of farming. Her favorite moments were when Pop spent time teaching her to draw and paint.
Within just two years after leaving Dan, Joy had ran in to an old friend, soon rekindling an old friendship that turned into a marriage. Charles was an incredible man, quickly taking the father role for Eliza, Helen, and Amelia. They loved him as such, though he was very clear that while he loved the two of them like his own children, he could never replace their biological fathers. He didn’t want them to think he was trying to assume that role, which Amelia found more than admirable. After 5 years, Amelia worked with her mother to go through an official adoption process with him. He was a large, burly man, but he definitely was a softie at heart. He most certainly shed happy tears on that day.
While Amelia grew up battling depression and anxiety, she managed to get it under control during college. She went to a private college, studying both biology and theater as her majors, the latter to her mother’s disapproval. She had dreams of Broadway or going on tour with a travelling theater. Her mother was a doctor in an emergency room, growing to be an inspiration as well. Joy taught her many things about advanced first aid in hopes that she would follow in her footsteps. Amelia wasn’t so dense as to think that acting was a definite for her career, so she pursued biology as a backup. She fully intended to go forward into medical school, but she found herself overwhelmed with the workload and dropped the major altogether.
Because of this decision, she ended up working for Joja Mart after college. She searched for years for ways to join the actor's equity union or ways to be on stage at all. She acted in community theater productions, but after college, they seemed campy an, for lack of a better word, amateur. She found herself cringing at the basic rules of the art being broken as well as craving the professional part of the life. Unfortunately, she fell back into a depression, feeling discouraged and losing all motivation to do anything but work, eat, and sleep.
At 24, she met Kristoff. They hit it off immediately and fell into a whirlwind romance. Before she knew it, she was living with him. It was four years later and she was deeply unhappy, finding herself in a consistent state of feeling numb. She had stopped doing any performing at all. Behind closed doors, Kristoff was controlling. If there was an argument or something went wrong, it was always her to blame. Kristoff was one of the biggest managers in Joja corp, and yet she was still only an assistant manager in a small, grody store on the west side of Zuzu. In public, he was a model boyfriend. After all, appearances were everything.
She moved to Zuzu city with big dreams. She wanted to sing; if not in the theater, then in some way, shape, or form. Kristoff would never let this happen, though he once told her that maybe she could sing at an upcoming Joja event; She hadn’t been that excited in years. As it turns out, it was a way for Kristoff to discourage her enough to give her whole life to Joja as he had. There were many arguments in the time after that. The more bold Amelia got in defending herself, the more angry Kristoff got. The yelling and throwing things led quickly to him slapping her or grabbing her by the arms, an attempt to shake sense in to her by force. Even their sex life grew violent. He never forced anything on her, but it was as if she became a toy: nothing but something to get him off... and he was rough, which Amelia didn't mind at first. He seemed to like how it felt to express his anger in this way, the shocked, almost scared look in her eyes the first time his fingers found her throat quickly becoming his favorite thing. If he wasn't choking her as he fucked her, she was on her knees with a fistful of her hair in his hand and tears brimming in her eyes from the treatment he gave her throat. She often was bruised; the main place often being her hips or waist. She knew how this would look to someone on the outside looking in, but she never did say no. She didn't stop him. She kissed him back for the fraction of a second he allowed that affection. She even begged when he asked her to. He was always so stressed and she loved him, so she didn't mind helping him release that tension. Even if she had to finish on her own. She was just being there for him, right?
She had become complacent.

A New Sun Part 11
My internal alarm screamed me awake 6 am sharp, I squeezed my eyes shut, forcing peaceful thoughts into my head and willed myself back to sleep. It lasted just a few moments before Ash pressed his cold, wet nose to my cheek, making me bolt upright. I scowled down at the pup who was mid-stretch. Wiping the cold snot from my face I started my morning routine. Feed Asher, start coffee, let Ash out, stare at clothing.
That last part posing a problem today. Usually I’d just put on my work clothes, but today I was going back to Zuzu and clothes that were stained in hues of browns and greens from the farm wouldn’t fly.
I ended up having to go through unopened boxes to find something clean, a pair of black high wasted shorts, a loose fitting red tank top and black sneakers. I checked the time, the clock blinked 6:30. I frowned. I didn’t have to meet the others until nine. I looked around my little home frowning. There wasn’t a whole lot to do. I padded into the bathroom, I had unpacked all my toiletries a few weeks ago. I stared down at the unused jars of lotions, the untouched eye shadow palettes and make up brushes. It was hard to believe that just a month ago I was using this stuff every day.An idea hit me as I looked at the packs of unused face mask, grabbing one and stuffing my clothes into a bag and grabbing a to go cup of coffee I headed out the front door with Asher.
A short walk later I was at the hot springs, I quickly changed into my bathing suit and shoved my stuff inside a locker. Ash had found a spot under a bench, his eyes already heavy with sleep. I submerged myself in the steaming water. I sighed with relief as my muscles began to relax, my jaw unclenching, brows unfurrowing, shoulders dropping away from my ears. My eyes grew heavy from the warmth and humidity and I let out a long yawn. I reached for my coffee and took a long sip. I would need to start making this part of my routine, I needed to remember to care for my body especially after everything I’ve been putting it through.
After another long sip of coffee I smeared the face mask on. It was supposed to help remove built up dirt and help brighten the skin. Yoba knows I needed that. Everything I owned seemed to have a fine layer of dirt built up on it. I took the time cleaning every inch of myself, feeling layers of grime fall away. I had showered every day since coming to the Valley, I had to or my own stench would suffocate me in my sleep. But there was something magical about these waters, I soon felt like a brand new person.
With great hesitation I finally removed myself from the pool to go and get ready. First I peeled the face mask off which had melded to my face like concrete. I stared in disgust at the horrors it had pulled from my pores and tossed it in the nearest trash. Asher poked his head inside the trash can and I shooed him away. I changed and did minimal with my make up, there was no point in lathering it on when tomorrow they would go untouched once again. I checked the time, it was already 8:30. I hurriedly packed all my stuff up and headed back to the farm. Dropping my bag off at the house then taking Asher to Lewis’s. I bumped into Sam as I was starting back north.
“Look at you!’ he whistled and lowered his sun glasses. “All clean and stuff.”
“It took me a hot minute to find these,” I said with a chuckle. “I woke up at my usual time, so I thought I’d gussy myself up for you lot.”
“For us or for Sebastian?” Sam quirked an eyebrow up.
I ignored his comment and busied myself with trying to pull my mane of curls into a loose bun.
Abigail and Sebastian were already waiting for us at the bus stop, Sebastian’s long legs stretched out in front of him clad in faded black jeans with rips in the knees, cigarette hanging from his lips. Abigail had a paper cup in her slender fingers and she took two long gulps from it. Her purple hair hung over her shoulder in a braid. “Morning guys!” she beamed up at from her seat on the bench. Sam plopped down next to her, throwing an arm around her shoulders. That left the only seat open next to Sebastian, I stayed standing.
It wasn’t much longer before the train pulled into the station and we were off. It was only an hour ride into the city and I was back into the belly of the beast.
“What should we do first?” Abbie asked as we stepped out of the train station and into the noise of the city. I was silent as my senses adjusted to the sights and noises that raged over me. I had never noticed the thick layer of smog that hung over the city and tumbled into the streets, the sunlight still managed to be harsh somehow. The light turned green and traffic began to speed by, my heartbeat quickened and I took a step back, backing up into Sebastian. His eyebrows knitted together and he looked down at me. “You okay?” he asked.
Abbie turned and looked at us, Sam was already staring a frown on his face. I nodded and gulped down a bit of air. “Fine, just sensory over load, I guess,” I let out a nervous laugh.
“Well, is there anything you would like to do first?” Sam asked.
“We could go by the Joja building and flick it off.”
Behind me Sebastian snorted.
“You know, that’s actually not a bad idea,” Sam beamed.
“I’m down, then can we go by the mall?” Abbie asked.
“Yeah! I want to go by that new indoor skate park that they just built there!” Sam jumped in place.
“Bash?” I looked at him, he hadn’t spoken much this entire time. He shrugged. “I’m just along for the ride.”
“Don’t let him fool you Kit, he’s having fun,” Abbie smiled.
“A blast,” Sebastian smirked.
“So, Joja?” Sam asked.
“This way,” I pointed and took point. Nothing had changed, the streets had all remained the same, life in the city had continued in my absence.
“So why is this on your to-do list?” Sam questioned.
“I forgot to do it when I quit,” I said matter-of-factually.
“You used to work for Joja?” Abbie had made her way next to me.
I nodded. “I was a manager for the warranty department. I actually lived in an apartment just a few blocks from here.” I paused, we were on the opposite side of the road from Joja building. With the tiny windowed slots in the gray concrete exterior, it looked just like a prison.
“Yeesh,” Sam shivered next to me. I patted his shoulder. “Don’t worry it is much worse inside.”
“Why’d you leave?” Sebastian asked.
I cocked my head and scrunched my mouth up, I raised up my middle finger to the building then kept walking down the street. I wasn’t ready to get into that yet.
Don’t people work anymore? I thought to myself as we entered the packed mall. It was a Thursday morning and seemed like every soul in Zuzu had taken a detour to the shops first.
“Where should we go first?” Abbie wiggled next to me.
“Skate park.”
“Electronics.”
Both boys spoke at the same time.
“There is this awesome cafe in here that sells the best cinnamon rolls, I’m just saying,” I pipped up after.
“Ohh, that sounds yummy!” Abbie beamed.
“Do they have coffee?” Sebastian asked.
“Yes, but at this point I think you should hook yourself up to an IV, just have coffee pumped into your blood veins,” I said.
“Is that a thing?” Sebastian questioned, his eye brows raising.
“If it is, I don’t think it is recommended,” I shrugged.
“I’d invest in that,” Sebastian sighed.
“We could find you one of those hats!” Sam said pointing to his head then pretended to grab two invisible cups on the side.
Abbie made a face. “Like the beer guzzler hat?”
“That!” Sam flapped his arms. “But instead of beer, we put coffee mugs in it!”
Sebastian stroked the stubble on his chin, pretending to be deep in thought. “I could be swayed into considering it.”
Finding the little hole in the wall cafe, we placed orders. I was declared to official Food Guide for the rest of the day by Sam. I accepted it with a sweeping bow and asked how everyone felt about Mexican food.
“This is the part I miss about the city,” I started. “I fucking love food. Don’t get me wrong, Gus is amazing, but damn I miss having so much cuisine at my finger tips.” I sighed and stuffed another bite of warm gooey cinnamon roll into my mouth.
“I’m going to miss these,” Sam sniffled and hugged his box to his chest.
“On Saturday morning and I was feeling really lazy, I’d just have Post Mates deliver them to my apartment,” I smiled at the memory. Wrapped in my favorite blanket, coffee brewing, a controller in my hand.
“Post Mates, what’s that?” Abbie asked.
“What?” I snapped out of my day dream.
“Post Mates, what is it?” Abbie repeated.
I blinked at her slowly then looked at both of the boys to see if it was a joke. Both of their faces remained in a blank stare. Holy shit. There is no Post Mates in the Valley. It made since, seeing as we were almost to the middle of no where. The hotel only had a few rooms and Gus lived in one of them!
“Post Mates is a delivery service,” I shrugged. “You place an order on the app and your Post Mate goes and gets it and brings it to you.”
The three exchanged looks, Sebastian dug his phone out of his pocket.
“You’re joking?” Sam asked.
I shook my head and took a drink of coffee.
Sebastian held up his phone, showing his friends the app.
“What the actual fuck?” Abbie snatched his phone and began scrolling. With a scowl and a huff Sebastian leaned back in his chair.
“I’m jealous and a bit confused,” Abbie admitted after several moments of silence.
“I’m just jealous!” Sam threw his arms up.
“Why wouldn’t you just go and get your own food?” Abbie asked.
“Lazy,” I shrugged then added. “Drunk.”
“That’s so awesome!” Sam’s forehead made contact with the table. Sebastian snatched his phone out of Abbie’s hand, she stuck her tongue out at him.
We finished our treats then continued about our day. We unleashed Sam upon the skate park. Stopped at a Hot Topic for Abbie, where she found purple finger less gloves that matched her hair.
The electronic shop took up both floors of the mall and we lost Sebastian for over an hour. We found him leaning against a table, talking to an employee, a short adorable girl with a pink pixie cut. I felt something in my chest squeeze and I ducked down an aisle, separating myself from the group.
I had spent so much of my life trying to escape this overwhelming city and when I’m finally able to, I come right back. Like a clingy girlfriend.
It’s just the day Kit.
What about the farm? Summer is just a few days away, there is still so much to do.
It will all be there tomorrow.
When did these shelves get so close together?
When did it become so loud in here?
Who turned the air off?
Sweat beaded on my forehead, I was gasping for air.
I started moving. I had traveled these walk ways a hundred times before and my feet carried me to the nearest exit and outside. I kept walking until I found an alcove and plopped myself down onto the ground. A car sped past, the engine roaring, another car this time speakers that were too loud. A slam of a door. People walked, unaware of my state, laughing, talking.
Breath.
It wasn’t enough and my hands started to shake, my fingers tingling.
Breath.
The numbness spread up my arms and into my lips.
Breath.
Sneakers pounding on pavement quickly approached me.
“Kit!” Abbie’s voice broke through the madness inside. Sam practically threw himself on the ground next to me, his arms wrapping around my torso. For the first time I noticed he smelled of sunshine and sand. Just like the beach, just like the Valley.
Sebastian knelt in front of me, his dark coffee eyes meeting my clover ones and rooting me back to the ground. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just a little sensory over load,” I sniffed, rubbing at my damp cheeks. When had I started crying? A frown tugged at his lips, Sam pulled me closer to him, crushing me to his side.
“Sam, I think you are killing her,” Abbie said.
“With my love!” Sam patted my head, it was more aggressive then comforting. Sebastian rolled his eyes and stood, reaching out his hand to me.
“Oh thanks bro,” Sam reached for it. Sebastian popped Sam’s hand away, I gave him my hand, but there was a long awkward moment where I was just holding his hand because Sam was still keeping me anchored to the ground.
“Dude, let go!” Abbie kicked Sam’s leg.
“Fine!” Sam let go and stood. Sebastian finally pulled me to my feet, he pulled me into a quick embrace before letting me go and giving me a once over.
Thunk-thunk.
Hush you.
I cleared my throat “Sorry for the scare, we may now all go back to whatever it was that we were doing.”
“I wasn’t done shopping,” Sebastian shoved his thumb back towards the electronics store.
“I don’t need anything from there. Want to go to the book store with me Kit?” Abbie asked.
Honestly, I didn’t.
I wanted to go look at the new builds. Look at getting new RAM for my pc and new RGB lighting. But I don’t think I could take seeing Sebastian and that girl together, so I agreed and followed Abbie. I found more than I thought I would. I found new models for Solorian Chronicles, the game Sam and Sebastian played every Saturday night. An adventure diary for Abbie. I found myself in front of the Lawn and Garden section, staring at a copy of ‘Farming for Dummies’. I frowned.
“Whatcha got there?” Abbie asked appearing from behind a shelf. I jumped and shook my head.
“Just stuff,” I shrugged. I looked at the stack of books in her arms. They were all adventure books, the main character female, I smiled to myself.
Abbie glanced at the shelf and frowned. “Don’t tell me you are getting that.”
I shrugged again.
“Kit, come on you are way better than that,” she scoffed.
“Abbie, I have no idea what I’m doing,” I sighed. “Thankfully Summer is coming up, which is the only season I know shit about, but damn.” For the first time I felt defeated. “Grandpa’s busiest season was summer and fall, but they were also his most profitable. That’s actually why I started going to Gaia Farm. Dad sent me there so I wouldn’t be a lazy ass all Summer and I could help grandpa out. Did I learn a lot, definitely. But I’m still flying blind here.”
Abbie’s face scrunched up, before taking one of her books and bopping me on the head with it.
“Ow!” I rubbed the spot she hit.
“Kit, I can honestly say I understand, I do,” she began. “Recently my dad has been giving me a lot more to do around the store. More responsibility, taking shifts by myself, showing me how to order. But if he were to die tomorrow I would have no idea what to do. I’d probably just burn the store down.” Her statement was very matter of fact. “I think you are just overwhelmed right now. Give it some time and Hurricane Kit will sweep through Gaia Farm and so much ass will have been kicked.” Abbie looked at the shelf and plucked a book off and added it to my pile ‘Farming for Beginners’.
“If our hands weren’t full, I’d hug you,” I sniffled.
“We will hug it out later.” Abbie laughed.
The guys were ecstatic about their gifts, it was a model castle, with a little village and a few characters that they were going to build and paint over the weekend. Abbie whispered “nerds” under her breath earning glares from both boys. We hung out at the mall for a little bit longer, then explored the town. I took them to my favorite Mexican restaurant, then showed them my old apartment. I pointed to the 3rd floor window that used to be mine. Sebastian stared at that window, a sense of longing in his eyes.
“I’m confused,” Abbie said from beside me.
“About?” I looked at her.
“Why is do you have fire escape if there are bars on the windows?” She asked with a laugh.
Sebastian frowned, his head cocked.
Behind us a large truck revved its engine, smoke poured from the exhaust and overwhelmed us. A horn honked. Tires squealed.
I waved my hand in front of my face to help clear away smoke. The others coughed loudly and tried to fan the smoke away. Once things settled I answered Abbie’s question. “So the bars on the window were installed after someone broke into a 5th story window and they installed the bars on for safety measures.”
My friends stared at me unblinking.
“What?”
“That dumb,” Sebastian blinked.
“I’m aware.”
The sun was setting and the street lights began blinking on, we headed back to the train station. The ride home was quite, both Abbie and Sam had fallen asleep the moment they sat down. Abbie’s head on his shoulder, his head resting atop hers.
“They are so cute when they aren’t talking,” I bumped my elbow against Sebastian’s.
“Yeah they are. I can almost tolerate them.”
I snickered. He began scrolling through his phone, his brows coming together.
“What’s up Bash?”
He hummed and kept scrolling. “I just got a new project to work on, so it’s going to be a late night.”
“Project?”
“Yeah for coding, it’s for a new medical software.”
I stared at him, one eye brow raised. “That’s impressive.”
Sebastian snorted and crossed his arms over his chest. “You are the only one who thinks so.”
He turned away from me and stared out the window. I sighed and leaned back in my seat, guess that conversation is over.
We sat like this for awhile, in silence, listening to the heavy breathing of our two sleeping friends.
“Thanks for yesterday,” Sebastian finally said.
“For what?” I turned to him.
“Helping me through the anxiety attack,” his voice was low, just above a whisper.
“Of course,” I shrugged. “I...”
My voice caught in my throat. I what? Care about you? Like you? Want to kiss your stupid face?
“I’m glad I could be there for you.”
Sebastian faced me, eyes exploring my face for a moment before turning back to the window.

Stardew Valley: Request
Foreign female farmer, who is dating Sebastian, taking him, Sam, and Abigail to her home country to visit her parents
Karissa looked excitedly out the window as the plane began its descent into Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Roughly twenty miles from the airport would bring them to her home town by the ocean, Portofino. And just a few minutes outside of Portofino was her childhood home, where Mamma, Papa, Nonna and Nonno waited eagerly for her visit. It had been some time since she had seen her family. Three years, to be exact, since her move to Stardew Valley.
She felt a hand on hers and turned to see Sebastian peering passed her and out the window curiously. His fingers tightened around hers in a loving squeeze.
“So, that’s Italy, huh?” he said. He was trying to ignore the squeamish feeling in his stomach. He was not a fan of flying.
“That’s Genoa,” Karissa said, pointing to the little city just west of the airport. She moved her finger a little further. “Portofino is that way. I think Papa will be picking us up once we land.”
Sebastian leaned back in his seat and smiled at her. “He’s not like, in the Mafia or something, is he?”
Karissa laughed and rolled her eyes, but did not answer him. She smirked out the window, watching the airport come into view, leaving Sebastian teasingly in suspense.
“Yeah, because we’re in 1920′s Italy,” Abigail said from the seat behind them.
“That doesn’t meant the Mafia doesn’t exist,” Sam said beside her. “You know, Italy has a long history of mobsters and assassins. The Knights Templar and all that.”
“I think you need to lay off the video games,” Sebastian muttered.
“That’s based on some accurate history, you know,” Karissa added. “I’d be careful what I say around here.” She was teasing, of course, but the guys didn’t need to know that.
“Yeah,” Sebastian said, turning to Sam. “I don’t feel like disappearing, never to be heard from again.”
Karissa turned to Sebastian and grinned. “Papa won’t hurt you,” she said, but let her smile disappear. “Just… don’t go into the basement.” She turned back out the window with another smirk. She was too eager to take advantage of their naivety, and she was sure Papa would enjoy it, too.
After unboarding the plane, they waited in the terminal for their bags to come around. Karissa spoke casually in Italian to some of the people around her as the other three looked on speechless. Their arms pointed in various directions as they gave Karissa directions out of the airport and with their bags in tow, they were on their way outside.
The warm sun and bustling city greeted them as they stood on the side of the road. A cool, salty breeze swept in from the ocean as they waited for their ride. Before long, a dark car pulled up beside them and a tall, dark haired man stepped out, his muscular arms spread open. His lips turned into a smile beneath this mustache.
“Karissa!” the man said. Karissa left her bags on the sidewalk as she ran to her father, who pulled her into a hug. “Bentornato, Bella,” he said to her.
“Ciao, Papa,” she said happily. She pulled away and indicated to her friends, still standing on the sidewalk. “These are my friends, Sam and Abigail, and my boyfriend Sebastian.” She pointed to each of them respectively.
“Welcome to Italy, friends,” he said to them with a nod. “Call me Signor.” He waved them forward with his arm and opened the trunk of the car. “Come, now, let’s not stand around. Mama’s been cooking all day, you know.”
He helped them load their bags into the car, then climbed into the driver’s seat and pulled into traffic. He looked into the rear view mirror and smiled at them. “Karissa has told me much about you, Signor Sebastian.” His eyes moved back to the road. “I hope you’re just as much as a gentiluomo as she says you are.”
“A perfect gentleman, Papa,” Karissa said. She turned back in the front seat and smiled at Sebastian.
“Bene,” her father said with a nod. “I expect only the best for my daughter, of course.”
Sebastian swallowed nervously and exchanged a glance with Sam.
“Yeah,” Sam said with a smirk. “Or else you’ll never be heard from again.” He used his best Italian accent as he spoke. “You’ll be sleeping with the fishes.”
“Nonsense,” her father said. “I don’t like violence, Sam. I’m a businessman.” He wiped his hands together quickly. “His blood will not be on my hands.”
Karissa giggled from the front seat, but Sebastian’s face only whitened.
The three in the back remained fairly quiet the rest of the drive as Karissa and her father spoke excitedly, often slipping in Italian words and phrases. Before long, they were on the outskirts of Portofino and driving up a winding road towards Karissa’s childhood home. Outside the door, two women stood, chatting animatedly to one another. They turned as the car pulled up to the house, wide grins on their faces.
Karissa hurried out of the car, running towards her mother and grandmother as they each pulled her into their arms. Karissa’s father moved to open the trunk of the car, helping Sebastian, Sam, and Abigail with their bags. Her mother made her way to them, pulling them each into one of her tight hugs enthusiastically.
“Oh, it’s so good to meet you three,” she said to them excitedly. “I hope you’re hungry. I’ve been cooking a big meal all day.”
“Just what I told them, Addie, dear,” Karissa’s father said from behind the car.
“We’ve got a nice room set up in the basement,” Addie said. “Let’s get you three settled, hm?”
Sam laughed. “The basement,” he said simply. “Of course.”
Addie raised a brow at him, then immediately turned to her husband. “I told you not to go scaring these poor kids, John,” she said angrily.
John closed the trunk and raised his arms in the air defensively. “I said nothing about the basement,” he said. “All I said was that I don’t like pig’s blood on my hands.”
Karissa giggled as she hurried to help with their bags. “I’m sorry, Mama, that one was me.”
Addie put her hands on her hips. “John, look what you’ve done to our sweet little girl,” she said. She turned on her heels and made her way into the house.
The older woman by the door laughed and shook her head. “Pig’s blood,” she said as she followed Addie into the house. “Because John could ever butcher a pig!”
“Don’t listen to that crazy old woman,” John said as he lead the way into the house, a bag in each hand. “She’s seen too much, so we had to brainwash her.”
They followed John into the basement, where there was a couch, a tv, and a couple of beds made up for their arrival. They put their bags down before John made his way back up stairs.
“Better come up and eat,” he said to them. “Before Mama has a fit.”
Sam looked around the room carefully. “There’s a secret dungeon in here somewhere,” he said. “A torture chamber.”
Abigail rolled her eyes. “Give it a rest,” she said, crossing her arms. “Not all Italians are involved in crime.”
Karissa laughed. “No. Of course not. But, to be safe, you should be on your best behaviors, anyway.” She winked playfully at them as she lead the way back up stairs and into the kitchen where a large table was already set with food.
“Mangiare!” Addie exclaimed as they took their seats around the table. “Nonna made some cannolis for after dinner, so don’t fill up too much!”

Falling Together
//Shanexfarmer HarveyxFarmer Sebastianxfarmer??
TW !! Talk of self harm, suicide, drinking, abuse, death!!
Chapter Two; Warm and Cold Welcomes
As I walked into the Stardrop Saloon, Emily immediately ran over and hugged me.
“You’re here!! You’re really back! I knew it was you the second I felt your energy hit the earth here.” She beamed. I hugged her back, I felt so accepted and warm here. She began introducing me to everyone, including a hot lean alternative guy with black swooped over hair, grey eyes and dressed all up in black along with a girl with purple hair and dressed in a black shirt with a frog printed on it. I assumed he was Robin’s son she had previously told me about.
“Heyyyyy Guns n Roses, nice taste. I’m Sebastian and this is Abigail. Abigail smiled and  waved a little shyly  at me. Sebastian continued,“ Sure mom’s told you about me. What’s your name?” he looked flirtatious towards me, but before I could tell him, a flash of blonde hair ran over to me and i was immediately lifted at least two feet off the ground into a hug.
“EVIEEEEE!!!!! I can’t believe its you!! We have so much catching up to do since we last made mud pies together. ” He smiled and put me back down. Me being slightly startled from his energetic golden retriever personality. Sebastian was laughing at the startled expression I had.
“Awww Sam, missed me pushing you over and you crying when I beat you in video games? “ I smirked.
“You know it! I’ve gotten pretty good over the years, you owe me unlimited rematches. And - Hey, I don’t think you’ll be able to push me over anymore, short stack. “ Sam was around 6′0 ft, and I had stayed at a measly 5′3 and a HALF since I was 13. I was happy Sam was the same overly optimistic ray of sunshine he had been since a kid.
“Jeezzzz Sam give her some breathing room. Sorry about him, he’s always like this” Abigail chuckled.
Sebastian slid back into the conversation, “So, Evie, is that your real name or is that your nickname?”
“Oh, yeah. I just go by Evie. My full name is Evangeline Eliza Jones-Destriu. I hate how long my name is.... and the fact my parents chose to hyphenate my last name.”  I smiled weakly.
“Well a cute name to match a super cute girl with awesome fashion sense! “, exclaimed Abigail. “You have to show me where you get your clothes from.”
“As long as you show me where you got that frog shirt from, frogs are like one of my favorite animals.” I said excitedly.
After playing a little bit of pool with my new friend group, everyone else from the town started pouring in. I went up to Marnie, who was talking to Lewis. As I approached she immediately recognized me and hugged me.
“Evangeline!!!! Oh my goodness. You’ve become quite the beautiful young woman. You look so much like your grandpa. I’m sure hes so proud of you for taking over the farm. I’ll be here to help you as much as you need getting started. When Shane gets here you should say hello to him.”
“Shane? “ I squinted a little, confused.
“My nephew, you two were best friends whenever you spent the summers here.” she said a little worried. She noticed the bruise too, I tried to hide it behind my hair but I was starting to think it was inevitable.
“I’m sorry Marnie, I have memory problems. I’ll talk to you more about it in private when we catch up, but if you point him out to me I’m sure I’ll remember his face. I’m just not good with names. “
Marnie seemed a little sad that I hinted at the fact life hadn’t been very easy for me. “He’ll be here in a bit, he’s almost always at the saloon after work. He’s usually over there near the fireplace and bar. If you want you can come over for dinner on Sunday, I’m sure you havent had a good home cooked meal in a while since living in the city.”
I smiled widely “I’d absolutely love that. I was just telling Lewis today about how much I missed your cooking.”
As I said that, a man in a tattered up hoodie, dark black-purple hair, who was quite broad shouldered and had a dad body walked inside the saloon. He looked void of emotion and tired. Emily wasn’t phased by this, she smiled and treated him like everyone else in the warm happy way she did. He looked almost angry at her for her being nice to him. That’s when Marnie said “Well there he is, that’s my Shane.”
Maybe he just had a bad day, I thought. I thought about getting him something to eat to maybe cheer him up a bit. After all, I knew all about having bad days. So I walked over to Emily, and he peeked up at me, seeming annoyed. This built up anxiety in me, but my therapist said I needed to overcome my fear of upsetting people after all I’d been through. So I asked Emily,
“Hey what’s Shane’s favorite food?”
“Oh, he loves pepper poppers. Um.... Evie, hes a little..... rough around the edges.” she smiled “but he has a good heart. He has a goddaughter named Jas, and he took her in.”
I nodded, and she handed me a plate of the spicy food. I walked over cautiously to him, he smelled like beer and whiskey. I slid the food beside him and he looked up at me kind of dazed, probably from the alcohol.
“Hey, I’m new in town, I don’t know if you remember me but I’m-”
“What the fuck do you want? I don’t fucking know you, so piss off and leave me alone.” He spat at me and didn’t even look me in the eyes. I stood back shocked, feeling tears well up. Emily went pale, Marnie, Sam and Sebastian saw the look of hurt on my face. I immediately turned around and went back to Emily.
“Hey you okay? I’m sorry, he’s not normally that harsh. Here,” She said as she handed me a bottle of wine. “its on the house. I should’ve told you he’s uh, an angry person.”
I couldn’t speak, the feeling of panic and tears welled up in my throat and I knew it was visible on my face. I just looked at her and nodded. “I’ll be alright, thanks Emily. I just wasn’t expecting that. I’m gonna head home.”
I took the wine and Marnie tried to stop me and talk to me, she saw the tears starting to come down and gave me a quick hug. As I turned to leave I felt like i was being watched, and I locked eyes with him. A sudden wash of recognition and regret hit his face. He saw he made me cry and i knew now he knew who I was. He put down his beer and looked like he was about to walk over. I almost ran out the door, and started sprinting towards the forest with the wine in hand. As soon as I knew I was out of earshot, I broke down. I looked for the pond my grandfather used to take me to when I was sad.
---Back at the Saloon while Evie is in the woods, Shane POV--
Marnie walked over to Shane. “What has gotten into you? You grew up with that girl!!!! You made her cry after she wsa just trying to be nice to you.”
“I-I didn’t recognize who she was until she left. I’m going to find her and apologize, I’m sorry Marnie. I’m just--” he sighed. God. I always fuck up. He thought.
Marnie patted him on the shoulder “I know Shane. Just-- try to remember you’re not the only one who’s been through a lot. Okay?”
He nodded and left the Saloon to find and apologize to Evie.
--Back to Evie in the woods, Shane POV--
I sat down at the edge of the pier and downed the entire bottle of wine. I hadn’t imagined something so small would make me relapse. The alcohol made me feel warm so i took off my long sleeve shirt and kept on my large band tee. The bandages and stitches itched with my mistakes. So I took them off. They probably needed a little air anyways. The vertical cuts that were held together with thread still looked pretty bad and they bled a little as I unraveled the wrapping, but they were at least mostly closed up with scabs. Around the wounds were bruises from Daniel, my ex -fiance. I could still see the finger marks were he had grabbed me on my arm. I cried somewhat loudly and just laid and looked up at the stars for a while. I started feeling dizzy, and tired. And the comforting numbness washed over me as everything faded into darkness. I thought I heard someone walking towards me but I didn’t care. They could kill me and I’d die happy right there.
--Shane’s POV finding Evie--
I knew where she was going, the same place she went when she snuck out of her gradfathers when she missed her dad. I heard loud crying, like someone was in pain. It had to be her, I was already tipsy and quickened my pace towards the loud cries. Suddenly it stopped. Oh Yoba. Oh no. Why did it stop?
I didn’t want to frighten her, so I tried to walk a little loudly. I saw a figure laid out on the pier, close to the edge of the side, she was about to roll off into the pond. “Evie? Hey.”
No response. Oh fuck. As i got closer I saw the empty wine bottle, and i felt a pang of guilt and worry.
Wait. What the hell? I turned on my phones light and shined it on her, she passed out from drinking. But- what was......
I saw cuts on both her wrists that were obviously a previous suicide attempt, they were stitched together, but she also had dark bruises of all colors on her arms, and she had cried off her makeup, revealing a darkened eye as well.
I felt like I had just walked in on a crime scene. I never thought I’d meet someone more messed up than me, much less a childhood friend. What the hell happened to her? I tried shaking her awake and calling her name but she didn’t wake up. More panic and anxiety came over me. I picked her up gingerly in my arms to bring her to the clinic, she was so small and soft. She smelled like strawberries and vanilla. Shane studied her features. She had the same freckles, same button nose, same long eyelashes and dark hair as he remembered her having as she had when they were little. She was gorgeous too. How could anyone hurt such a beautiful fragile girl? What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I thinking this way? Get a grip Shane.
I called Harvey, “Hello?” A groggy mans voice answered.
“Hey uh Harvey, the new farmer girl, she’s actually a childhood friend of mine. I found her passed out drunk on a pier and she looks like she’s already been in bad shape. I can’t wake her up, I’m bringing her as we speak. She already has stitches and-- She’s just in a really bad way.” Shane’s voice quaked a bit at the end of his sentence.
“Okay, oh Yoba, thats not good. Hurry here as fast as you can okay? I’ll get things ready for her so I can immediately work on her. Is she breathing? “ The words Harvey said made me panic more. Fuck. I didn’t even check to see if she was fucking breathing. I looked down and she was breathing gently and normally.
“Yeah she is, I think she’s just really drunk. I’m not sure.” I said back.
I carried her in, set her down on the hospital bed. Holy fuck. I hadn’t noticed how bad she really was hurt. She hid all of it with clothes and her long hair. She looked like she had been beaten over and over again over the past month. Even her eye and jaw had small bruises that had healed. Who did this to her? Then I saw the cuts. They were worse in the florescent lighting. Those were definitely on purpose.
Harvey looked pale at the sight of her.“Okay, here, see if she has any emergency contacts on her phone. I’m going to get fluids into her. Aside from that, looks like all of this was from previous incidents.” and he closed the curtain leaving shane in the little area next to the room. She didn’t have but a few contacts saved. One of them was Daniel, as I selected his contact I noticed the number had been blocked. The picture of him was a guy with blonde hair and blue eyes, the athletic type. Looked like a general douchebag. A text came in from a random number.
“What the fuck? You think you can just run away from me? Restraining order is just a piece of paper. I’ll find you. I know you’re probably shacked up with some scumbag, you whore. Not even your father wanted you, your mom died and its your fault. You’ll never find anyone better than me.” It read. That had to be him. The whiskey helped fill me with rage, I typed the number into my phone and left to the lobby to call it.
It rang a couple of times before a condescending voice answered,
“Come crawling back already psycho? You should’ve done a better job at trying to off yourself bitc-”
I cut him off, “Don’t contact her ever again. Or I’ll fucking kill you.” I hung up. And blocked the number. Why was I doing this? She was practically a stranger to me now.
I shook my head and left her phone with Harvey. I needed to sleep. I’d have Marnie call Harvey tomorrow to check on her. I looked at her one last time before I left, I remembered we’d have sleep overs, and she still slept curled up on her side.
I went home and told Marnie, she shook her head.
“I’m sorry, Shane. I should’ve told you. Her father deserted her, he mother fell into drinking and killed herself. Evie found her when she was 18. Her grandfather died the same year. She has no one. I don’t know why she has bruises, but I suspect thats why she came here so far away from the city. Please be kind to her. ” She looked worried.
“I-I...... yoba. I had no idea. She hadn’t-” I said then Marnie interuppted me.
“She didn’t come here probably because I wanted to run away from whoever hurt her that bad.”
I hardly slept that night, I got up for work in the morning and looked at the clinic on my way.
I’m so sorry Evie. I need a fucking drink.

Strange Request (SebastianxFarmer)
10,000G, are you kidding? I sighed as I repeatedly read the price tag in my head, for a backpack? I stepped back, pondering how I'm going to save up for that humongous amount.
Tasks, I should do tasks for the townspeople.
The bulletin board outside the shop should be a good place to start. I made way for the exit and opened the door, somebody’s going to need some help, right? I stood in front of the notice which read.
Can anyone bring me a sandfish? I need it for a cooking recipe.
paid on delivery
Sebastian.
Sebastian? Cooking? I’ve known him for ages and he rarely talks about cooking, however since I gave him the bouquet, he has mentioned how he should learn how to cook a couple of times.
Then I realised something, I have a sandfish. I caught it a couple of days ago for another task, but they got impatient, I caught it in calico desert but I was too late. I took out my phone from my pocket and sent Sebastian a text.
Me- Hey, I saw your bulletin post, I can give you a sandfish.
Almost instantly my phone vibrated, indicating his reply.
Sebastian- Thank you, baby.
I smiled at my phone, even a message from him seems to make me ecstatic. I made way for my farm, needing to get the fish from my box. ideas of why Sebastian wants to cook raced my mind; helping his mum cook? finally getting along with Demetrius? I don’t know. I opened the box and grabbed the fish, gently putting it in my bag.
I took the exit that's at the north of my farm, walking over the empty, abandoned road. I’m not exactly a cook myself, so I have no idea what recipe needs sandfish. I opened the door to Robins carpeting shop and was instantly greeted by the familiar cosy environment and the smell of fresh lumber, most likely caused by the stack of logs, laid on the floor next to the counter. Robin stood behind the counter where she handles her business, with Sebastian on my side appearing to be in deep conversation with his mother. I tapped on his shoulder, he turned and greeted me with his adorable smile, he said “Hey (Y/N), you caught it already?” I shook my head, pulling it out of my bag, I said “no, I already had it” I turned to Robin and greeted her, in return she smiled and waved.
He took the fish and said “thank you” he planted a kiss on my forehead while also placing money into my pocket, he stepped back and made way for the kitchen. As soon as he left the room Robin laughed a little, curious, I asked “what’s up?” Robin asked “do you know why he’s started to cook?” I shook my head, I did want to know though.
“well, I heard him on the phone. He said that he wants to learn how to cook so that when you two get married, he can make dinner so that you can be free to do whatever you need to on the farm. Cute, isn’t it?”
I found myself grinning, we have had conversations in the past about marriage, he must really be ready to marry me, I couldn't be happier. I said “it is”
“Mum, you said you wouldn’t tell them!”
I turned to see a clearly embarrassed Sebastian. I laughed a little “it’s ok, I really appreciate it, Seb” his face turned to a soft smile and a faint red tint appeared cheeks. Then disturbing the silence rain started to patter on the windows, maybe I should buy the pendent?

A New Sun Part 12
Hello! Sorry this chapter is so short, I find the chapters where I have to copy scenes to take a lot longer and be much more exhausting to write. I’ll make up for it in the next part! Any who, enjoy!
Also, do any of you think that the Wizard might be Abbie’s father? What are some fan theories that you agree with?
----
I watched as the green apple sized creature danced on top of my mail box, its little legs kicking back and forth in the worlds smallest Can-Can Dance. I hadn’t seen the little creature since the Egg Festival, sometimes I would hear it’s little chirp could never find where it came from. It leaned over and patted the top of my mail box.
“Aren’t you a little bossy thing?” I quirked an eyebrow at it as it continuously pat the top of the box.
I opened and my mouth dropped open. It was filled with letters, I hadn’t even thought about checking the mail since I came out here, figuring if anyone wanted to talk to me they would just show up. I riffled through the envelopes, curiously a couple of them were from Lewis. The last letter sent a tingle through my fingers, a small current running through the tips, up my arms and into my heart. It wasn’t unpleasant, it was a way of way of saying ‘hey, I’m here, I’m important. Look at me. Read me.’
Somewhere behind me Asher snuffled. The tiny creature noiselessly bounced in place. Eos Farm held its breath. I opened the letter. It breathed again.
My sources tell me you have been poking around inside the old Community Center.
Why don’t you pay me a visit?
My chambers are west of the forest lake, in the stone tower. I may have information concerning your…
‘rat problem’.
-M. Rasmodius, Wizard
I turned the letter over, blank. I looked at the small creature, who was starring up at me with glossy black eyes and a tiny smile.
The stone tower? I turned and looked in the direction of the tower, I could see the peak of the blue roof from my farm. As children we tried so many times to get inside that tower. All of us, Abigail, Sam, Sebastian, even Haley and Emily. We would stand out there, staring up at the stone structure, discussing ways to get inside. We could always hear movement on the other side of that thick wooden door. We tried climbing the side of it, to get to the top window. We would grow tired before long, the tower seeming to stretch on forever. Once Abbie fell, instead of plummeting to the ground, she gently floated to the grass below. After that we stopped trying to get inside. We would stand at the bottom of the hill and tell stories about what we thought was inside.
Sam said it was a pizza buffet.
I picked up the little being off the mail box and put it on my shoulder. It grabbed my curls and wrapped the tendrils around its little body. That would be a pain to brush out later.
I whistled for Asher and off we went towards the tower.
It was just as intimidating as I remembered. The thick oak door, the stones soaring into the sky, Rapunzel’s hair wouldn’t even make it to the ground. I told myself to be brave and I knocked.
“Come in!” A voice roared from the other side. I stared at the bare door, no door handle to be found.
“Uhhh how?” I asked. The tower seemed to sigh and the door opened on its own.
“Sassy fucking tower,” I muttered under my breath and entered the tower.
The room was basic but my brain couldn’t grasp what it was seeing. Everything seemed to be covered in a haze as if an illusion, from the basic oaken floors with the bubbling cauldron that reeked of spoiled eggs and rotting apples. The far right of the room stones took over the floor, white symbols painted on top and so many candles with too many different fragrances. Lavender, basil, sage, nutmeg, ginger. It was an assault on my senses and I felt feint. Ash whimpered next to me.
A man I had not seen made his way from around the symbol painted on the floor. “I am Rasmodius… Seeker of the Arcane Truths. Mediary between ethereal and physical Master of the Seven Elementals. Keeper of the Sacred Cha- You get the point” He had a voice that rose from the earth, it was hard and closed around each word at the end. It rooted me back to this place, back to this tower. I stared at the wizard he stared back but averted his dark gaze, familiar purple hair poked out from underneath his cowboy hat and covered his face in a handle bar mustache and goatee. I gawked.
He approached me. “And you... Kit. The ones whose arrival I have long foreseen.” His eyes shifted to the circle next to him. “Here. I have something to show you.” With a flick of his wrist and a “BEHOLD” my little friend appeared in the circle. The little creature chirped inside the now glowing circle, lights danced from the edges and upwards. The creature chased them, dancing around the circle like it was a stage. “You’ve seen it before, haven’t you?”
I nodded. “I mean, it did tell me to check my mail.”
The wizard’s dark gaze landed on me. “We will get to that in a minute. They call themselves the ‘Junimos’. Mysterious spirits these ones. For some reason, they refuse to speak with me.” He flicked his rest again and my friend disappeared. I looked around but it was no where to be found.
“I don’t know why they have moved into the Community Center,” the wizard continued. “But you have no reason to fear them.”
I looked down at Ash who noticeably gulped, his tail tucked between his legs. I picked up the pup and cradled him close. Rasmodius looked at me with his head cocked to one side. “Inside the Community Center, there was a golden tablet in one of the rooms,” I said. “It had a language written on it that I’m not familiar with.” It seemed important to tell him.
“Most interesting, stay here. I’m going to go see for myself, I’ll return shortly.” With that he disappeared. I stared at the spot that the wizard was just standing in. I pursed my lips into a duck bill and waited. The door behind me open, I spun and stumbled backwards as the wizard entered.
“What the fuck!?” I yelled at, holding Ash closer to me, he growled at Rasmodius.
The wizard ignored my reaction. “I found the note. The language is obscure but I managed to decipher it: We, the Junimos, are happy to aid you. In return we ask for gifts of the Valley. If you are one with the forest then you will see the true nature of this scroll.” He walked to the cauldron staring into the green cloud that steamed from it. “’One with the forest’” He mused. “What could they mean?”
I glanced down at Ash who looked up at me. He wiggled in my arms and I sat him down. The wizard was stroking his goatee in silence, lost deep in thought. Rasmodius paused, his eyes wide as he said “AH HAH!” He pointed at me, I flinched, almost expecting to be struck by lighting, or turned into a frog. “COME HERE!”
I looked around, hoping to see someone else standing close enough that I could throw them in my path. Asher had army crawled away on his stomach and into a corner. Traitor.
Hesitantly I walked over to Rasmodius and in front of the cauldron.
“My cauldron is bubbling with ingredients of the forest.” He started.
The smell was much much worse this close to the pot. “Baby fern, moss grub, caramel top toadstool, can you smell it?”
I gagged.
“Here. Drink up. Let the essence of the forest permeate your body.”
“I’m sorry, what?” I looked at him.
“Drink up. Let the essence of the fores-”
“No no, I heard you.”
“Then why did you ask?”
“It wasn’t really a question.”
“It sounded like one.”
“I was being facetious.”
The wizard stared at me unblinking, taking a cup he filled it with the goop from inside the cauldron and shoved it into my hands. I glanced down at the slim, something inside of it bulged like a frogs throat before popping.
“Drink.” The wizard ordered. I plugged my nose and took a deep gulp of the brew. It spilled out the side of the cup and down my chin onto my shirt. I set the cup down, it took a moment for the taste to assault my taste buds. Boiled mushrooms, hot mud, rotting leaves, algae and a feint hint of raw ginger. I heaved.
I hit the ground with a thunk.
Asher scrambled over to me.
Visions floated before my eyes.
Thick tree canopies, with leaves drifting down to the forest floor. The trees became thicker, growing into a lush forest, they swam before my eyes.
Then.
Darkness.

A New Sun Part 10
I’m back! I’m so sorry that I’ve been gone for so long BUT THE MUSES HAVE RETURNED TO ME. This chapter is a bit shorter, but I’ll make up for it down the line.
