Why did it seem like every time one thing in your life began to sort itself out, something else went wrong? Maybe the tea page was right, yours and Hyunjins relationship was like a reality show. The only problem was that it wasn’t Hyunjins fault that things were like that, it seemed to be your fault. Your entire life was a mess, and you couldn’t even begin to understand how things got that way. It’s not like you had done anything wrong. You had your 3 best friends, and you had your other 3 close friends… Well… It isn’t 3 anymore. 

What Minho had done shocked you, but not as much as it hurt. It was like the ultimate betrayal, to see him of all people hanging out with Hyunjin. After everything that the two of you did together, after everything you told him… He even agreed with you that Hyunjin was an asshole, yet he still chose to hangout with him. He didn’t even offer an explanation. One second everything was fine, and the next he was going out and having Boys Night with the one boy that had broken your heart on numerous occasions. 

It wasn’t just that though. You wished it was, but like people always say… When it rains, it pours, and right now it’s like hurricane season. You truly thought that you and Felix were hitting it off… And maybe that had been wishful thinking on your part. It was no lie that you had a crush on him, and you were really getting close. Both of you had been through some shit, and you felt like there was a mutual understanding there that went deeper than what even your bestest friends could understand. 

Of course though, you should have known better. He clearly wasn’t over Ijun yet, and you should have known that it wouldn’t be so easy for him to move on. Hell, you had been hung up on Hyunjin until you actually saw him kissing Felixs girlfriend, but you had been foolish and took him back so many times… It’s not like you could get upset with Felix for doing the same thing with Ijun. The heart wants what it wants, and it was clear that you weren’t what Felix wanted. 

The talk with Seungmin a couple days ago was good enough to keep your mind off of everything that day, but once he left, you were alone with your thoughts once more. You hated it, you hated yourself. The only thing you were good at was pushing people away it seemed.

Being inside your apartment wasn’t as comforting as it usually would be, not when polaroid photos of you and the friends that you used to have were taped to every and any flat surface you could find. Everything just felt wrong, it wasn’t the same as it used to be. Your relationship with Jeongin, even though the both of you were trying, there was an awkwardness and things were strained, especially with him, Seungmin, and Jisung. 

A storm had just rolled through, the lightning brilliantly flashing and illuminating the sky before the building rumbled with the thunder that followed after. It had been beautiful, but you didn’t find it relaxing, not the way you usually would. 

Now the storm was finished, leaving behind a thick fog and a heavy humidity, the ground darkened from being saturated by the pouring rain. Puddles had filled the cracks and the divets in the sidewalk, and dark gray clouds filled the sky and hid the bright moon that hung there. Most people would find the current setting dismal and disgusting, but you found it beautiful. 

The campus grounds were bare, and you quickly slipped on your shoes and a light jacket, patting down your pockets to make sure you had everything before walking out the front door. 

With your airpods in, you made your way through campus. There was no particular place that you wanted to go, you were simply following the lamp posts that reflected off the pathway that you were following, your steps perfectly matched to the beat of the music played in your ears. 

Leaves were just beginning to sprout on the trees, the greens and pinks of spring that you’d usually point out to your best friends looked darker in the current conditions, their beauty shadowed by the haze and hung low in the air. Everything was simply darker now, even the bulbs in the lamp posts seemed to flicker and grow dim when you walked by. It was like your presence alone sucked the brightness out of everything and everyone. 

Felix had seen you walking, his dorm was on campus grounds, and his computer was set up right next to the window. The currents had been drawn open to give him a better view of the rain that trickled down the window, bright bolts of lightning reflecting on each drop. Storms weren’t his favorite thing in the world, but his headphones managed to block out the sound of the thunder so he could admire the beauty of it. 

The thing is, at first he wasn’t sure if it was you, he had stared for a while, and then looked at his friends list online. When he saw that Seungmin, Jeongin, and Jisung were all online and you weren’t, it had him glancing back at the figure that slowly walked the grounds. It wasn’t until he saw the backpack, your backpack with the little pins on it and the patches that had been carelessly glued on, that he realized it was you. 

He could have messaged the guys, he could have asked them if they knew you were out… But that would mean they’d come running to get you, and he didn’t want that. It had been a week since you last texted him, and it’s not that he wasn’t actively trying to talk to you, it’s just that you were ignoring him now thanks to whatever Hyunjin and Ijun did. 

Without another thought, he moved away from his computer, pulling on his own hoodie and shoving his feet into a pair of slippers to rush out of the dorms. It didn’t take long for him to get close enough to call out to you, but you didn’t respond. 

“Yah! Y/N! Hey!” He called out again, his eyebrows furrowing when he saw you speed up, your arms wrapping around yourself and your head kept low. You were practically sprinting at this point, and he tried to match your steps, wondering what exactly had been said to you to make you not only ignore him, but run away from him. 

He knew that the crack was close, it was close enough to his building that he’d occasionally watch people trip on it with his roommate for a little amusement while he was studying. Right now it wasn’t amusing though, there was nothing entertaining about the potential of you falling, and with how dark it was, not even he could figure out where exactly the crack was at. 

It didn’t help that every time he seemed to get closer to you, you’d pick up the pace just to distance yourself from him a little more, and he stopped trying to call out to you, not wanting to make a scene. He was hoping that at some point you’d just turn around and realize that it was him and let him talk to you. 

Even with his eyes trained on you, his reaction time wasn’t the best, not in these conditions, and before he could even think to run to you, you were falling forward. “Oh, shit!” He shouted, finally running over to you, his arms reaching out to grab you. You were absolutely soaked, having fallen into one of the deeper puddles that would form during the rainy season, but he wasn’t focused on that, he was too busy watching the tears that slowly began to stream down your face. “Hey… It’s okay…” He murmured, crouching down to get in your line of sight, and that’s when he finally saw the airpods that were firmly stuck in your ears, the music loud enough for him to hear now that he was close enough. 

“It was you…” You whispered, rubbing your scratched and muddied palms on a dry part of your pants before pulling out the earbuds. “You were following me… What the fuck, Felix?!” You practically shouted, finally looking over yourself and letting out a groan of annoyance. 

“I didn’t tell you to wear the airpods and have the volume turned all the way up!” He quickly retorted in defense of himself, his mouth agape in shock that you were somehow finding a way to turn the blame on him. “Plus, that’s really bad for you, ya know? You could go deaf!” 

Your eyes rolled as you moved to push yourself up, and even though he had offered to help you, it seemed like you were trying your best to not even look at him. “Yeah well… Now I’m soaked, and I have to walk all the way back home covered in mud.” You mumbled, your nose scrunching up in disgust at the way your pants now clung to your legs and the griminess of the saturated soil that wouldn’t come off your hands. 

“I could lend you a pair of clothes, let you wash up at my place? It’s right there.” He pointed to the building, his finger specifically directed at a window that was illuminated by a bright light that you could only assume was his PC. “My roommate wouldn’t mind, he’s out tonight anyway so… You can even stay and wash those clothes if you’d like. I can call you an Uber or something when you’re ready to go home.” 

Your head quickly shook, and you took a step back, his arms instinctively moving out to catch you just in case you stumbled into the crack again. “I can’t… It just wouldn’t be right… With you and… Ijun trying to fix things and… I just wouldn’t… I’m not that kind of person, Felix. It would look bad and I don’t want to cause any more drama.” 

He couldn’t help the confused look on his face because he had tried to tell you that there was nothing going on, that he hadn’t even started talking to Ijun again, but then you told him Jeongin was back, and to be honest, after hearing what had happened between him and you, he was jealous, but that didn’t negate the feelings that he had for you, it only made him want to try harder. “If you would have answered your phone when I called or texted you, you’d know that me and Ijun aren’t trying to fix things. You’d know that I’m completely done with her. We’re not going to Australia, well, she’s not going with me… But it’s over. I don’t want her anymore…” 

“But… She told me that…” His lips pursed together as he stared at you, and it was like a lightbulb finally clicked above your head, and you honestly felt foolish for taking so long to realize what she was doing. “Oh my god! That bitch!” You practically screeched, your hands quickly moving to cover your mouth as you looked around, making sure that you didn’t wake anyone up, but Felix thought it was precious. You were precious, and you were adorable, and you were so innocent and naive that all he wanted to do was protect you from everyone and everything that could possibly hurt you. 

“Exactly!” He playfully poked your nose, adoring the way your lips turned up at the corners and the way your nose scrunched up and the corners of your eyes creased. “Now, do you want to borrow a pair of my sweats and get washed up, or are you planning on walking home in those?” He motioned towards your stained pants, and it’s not that you didn’t have another choice, but you also didn’t really feel like walking in soaked clothes, so you reluctantly pointed to his building, already starting to walk over to it. 

“So…” You began, trying to make small talk during the short walk. “When are you going on your trip?” You asked, looking over at him, the both of you quickly turning away when you locked eyes. “Are… You gonna be gone long?” 

His head shook, and you spared a quick glance at him out of the corner of your eyes, noticing the way his cheeks seemed a little more red when passing under the lamps. “I’m leaving for spring break… I’ll be back two days before it ends though. I gotta find someone else to give Ijuns ticket to since it’s non-refundable.” 

“Oh…” You shrugged your shoulders lightly, smiling up at him sweetly. “I hope you find someone to give the ticket to soon. Spring break isn’t too far away.” You responded brightly, although he couldn’t help but be slightly dumbfounded at how the hint had gone completely over your head. “Make sure you take a lot of pictures too, I’ve always wanted to see Australia.” 

It would be too soon to ask, he had to keep reminding himself of that. Of course, he wanted the ticket to go to you, especially now that he knew that you wanted to see Australia as well. “I’ll take a bunch of pictures… Don’t worry.” He murmured sheepishly, for some reason feeling awkward, but thankful once the two of you finally got to the front doors of the building. 

All of the lights were out when you walked into his apartment, and you were so used to just kicking your shoes off and walking in, that’s exactly what you did, immediately walking into his couch and falling over it, letting out a squeal of shock and then a nervous giggle when the lights came on and he immediately ran over to you. “You okay?” He rushed out the question, helping to pull you up as he looked you over. 

“Yeah… Just not used to… Your setup…” You stammered out, letting out an awkward sigh as you finally took a moment to look around. “It’s… It’s good though… nice uh… Layout… Yeah…” Why were you so nervous? It’s not like the two of you were doing anything… You just came over to get a pair of sweatpants and go back home to your own apartment. But he was so close to you, his fingers cuffing your wrists, a slight sway in both your arms as his deep brown eyes looked into your own. 

He hummed softly, his thumb brushing along the outside of your wrist. “You’ll get used to it…” He murmured, and you felt your body heating up at the insinuation of his words, or maybe you were just reading into things, trying to find some kind of hidden meaning in what he said. “So uhm… I’ll uh… Do you want to shower or?” 

Your head nodded swiftly, butterflies in your stomach as you thought far too hard about being here, being around him, using his shower. “I’ll uh… I’ll be quick…” You whispered, chewing nervously on your bottom lip as you followed him to the bathroom. 

“S’alright…” His voice slightly shook with his nerves, and it was, in a way, comforting to know that you weren’t the only one on edge right now. “I’ll get my clothes and uhm… sit them on the counter… uhm… I-I’ll knock first though…” 

Your heart was racing, your words stuck in your throat, all you could manage was a hum of agreement as you backed into the bathroom, thankful once the door was shut, and you slid down the cold wood until you landed against the tiled floor. It was crazy how, even with your nerves going rampant, just being around him was comforting in a way. 

The pipes squealed as the hot water rushed through it, the sound of water hitting the floor of the tub. He couldn’t think straight, sitting on the edge of his bed, his fingers drumming against his lap as he stared at the bathroom door. 

He could see the shadow of you moving underneath the door, as if you were pacing. He wondered what you were thinking, what was going through your mind right now. 

The sudden sound of metal buttons against the tile floor had his eyes zeroing in on the black mass shadow that was in front of the door, and he tried not to think too hard about the fact that you were naked, your clothes in a pile on his bathroom floor. 

Only Hyunjin and Jeongin got to see you like that, and for some reason that little fact had his stomach flipping, a certain type of jealousy building up in him. There was no need to feel that way, you weren’t his now, you had never been his, but he didn’t like the thought of other people being able to admire you in that kind of way, even though they came before him. 

The curtain was slid open, he heard it clearly, metal rings sliding across the metal rod that held it, and then the quick pull of it being shut. It took him a moment to actually get up, rummaging through his dresser drawers to find something for you to wear, and while it shouldn’t have meant so much to him, he found himself thinking way too hard about what he was going to give you. He didn’t want it to be just any pair of sweatpants and any t-shirt, even though you probably wouldn’t even notice the importance of it, he would. 

He folded the clothes over his arm and then grabbed a towel for you before going over to the bathroom, knocking lightly on the door. There was no response, and he slowly cracked the door open, peeking in to make sure it was clear before opening the door more. “It’s… Just me I… Brought the clothes… And a towel…” He stammered out, neatly placing the pile on the edge of the sink counter. “I knocked first… I just… Didn’t know if… Because you didn’t say anything and-” 

Your muffled sniffles had him pausing, immediately worried that maybe you had slipped and fallen in the shower or that maybe you had hurt yourself when you fell and you were just really good at masking the pain up until now. The problem was, he didn’t know what to do right now. Usually he’d offer a hug or something but, clearly you were not… ready for that, and neither was he, so he awkwardly stood there, twiddling his thumbs as he stared at the shower curtain that you were behind. 

“A-Are you okay?” He asked awkwardly, and it seemed like his question had you crying even louder, and it was like an internal struggle with himself to not be the sunshine person that he usually was and just jump in the shower fully dressed just to console you. “I can leave… and… We don’t have to talk about it right now… If it’s weird for you…” 

Your head peered around the shower curtain, your eyes puffy and slightly red, and if he didn’t know that you were crying he would have thought you just got soap in your eyes or something. Your nose twitched as you sniffled again and his heart tightened at the sight of it. “You’re just… really nice to me… and I know I’m gonna mess this up too… Just like I did with Minho and Jeongin… I’m wasting your time.” 

It definitely wasn’t what he had expected to hear, and he blinked a few times as he tried to make sense of what you were saying. You were very clearly unaware of the feelings that he had for you, or maybe you just didn’t want to recognize them since you thought he was going to leave anyway. “Sweetums…” He whispered the little pet name, unaware if you actually liked it or not, but it was the only thing he could think to utter right now. “You’re not wasting my time… I… If I didn’t want you here, I wouldn’t have followed you in the first place. I care about you. I like spending time with you. I’m nice with you because I like you.” 

Had he been too honest? He watched as your eyes widened and your mouth fell open, but you quickly shook your head, letting the curtain fall shut around you again. “I’ll just finish up my shower and leave… Thank you for letting me come over… Letting me clean up… But I don’t want people to get the wrong idea or anything if they see me leaving.” 

Let them get the wrong idea, is what he wanted to say. Of course, he didn’t want anyone on campus thinking negatively about you, but he wouldn’t mind the Tea Page putting out a post that the two of you were together. He genuinely enjoyed being with you, and for the little bit of time that the two of you were together, you seemed to enjoy it too. “At least let me wash your clothes… Get them cleaned up too, and then I’ll walk you home… Okay?” 

He didn’t really give you a choice, bending down to get your clothes off the floor and quickly going to the washer before you could even try to stop him. He wondered if you actually would have if given the option to. He just wanted to make sure you were okay, he didn’t want you leaving when you had just been crying. He cared too much about you to let you walk out his door in that state of mind. 

“Felix…” You called out his name from the bathroom, your head poking out through a small crack in the door. He had been sitting on the couch waiting for you, listening to the hum of the washing machine and the pattering of the water against the floor of the tub. It was almost enough to have him drifting off to sleep, and he would have if it hadn’t been for your voice jolting him awake. His head quickly whipped around to look at you, your hair wrapped in the towel as you sheepishly looked at him. “You uhm… Accidentally gave me your uhm… Your boxers and… I don’t know if you actually meant to… And my actual… You know… Are in the washer right now… And uhm…” 

He chuckled softly, feeling the heat beginning to burn hotter in his cheeks. “I… I meant to… I wanted you to be comfortable…” He chuckled awkwardly, running a hand through his hair as his eyes creased with his smile. “You don’t… Have to… If you don’t want to… I just didn’t know if you would want to…” 

“Oh…” Your own shy giggle filled the space between where he was sitting and where your head peaked. God, you were so cute… He couldn’t stop thinking about it. “I mean… I’ll… Yeah… Okay, I’ll be right out…” You rambled, shutting the door a little too hard behind you in your nervousness, mumbling out a quick sorry right after. 

His eyes were trained on the door, waiting for your reappearance, but he couldn’t have prepared himself any better for what the sight of you in his clothes did for him. “How are you feeling?” He asked, trying not to let on to the fact that he was extremely flustered, highly attracted to, and slightly turned on by you in his clothing. 

Your arms stretched above your head, your mouth forming into a small ‘o’ as you yawned quietly, and when your arms fell back to your sides, the shoulder of his shirt slid down your arm, exposing your still slightly damp skin. “Little bit sleepy…” You murmured, stopping in the middle of the living room, your eyes seeming to close on their own and your body slightly rocking as you slowly lost your balance. 

It was almost 2 in the morning, he was shocked that he hadn’t fallen asleep yet, but he quickly walked over to you, grabbing your hand and pulling you over to the couch. “The clothes should be done in the washer soon, and the drier is pretty quick. I’ll be able to walk you back home as soon as they’re done.” He pulled you down onto the cushions beside him, and it was like you instinctively sunk down into the sofa, immediately getting comfortable. “You can nap… I’ll wake you up when it’s ready.” Although he wouldn’t mind if you just slept at his place, he’d even let you sleep in his own bed while he slept on the couch. He liked having you around, he truly did, and now that he had you in his own apartment, he was dreading having to let you go back to your own, wondering how long it would be before something like this happened again. 

“Mmh… Okie dokie…” You hummed, and you were out like a light, your neck going limp and your head falling against his shoulder. If the world could just stop right now, if the two of you could just stay this way forever, he would be perfectly content like that. Your arms wrapped around his torso as your lips lightly smacked before turning up into a small smile, the scent of his shampoo in your hair and his body wash clinging to your skin. In this moment, you were entirely his, and he didn’t know if he’d be able to let that go.

“I got this,” you said to yourself, pacing in front of the boys’ dorm. Today was the day you decided to finally do it - to finally confess to Jisung. It had been too long, and the pining was getting more and more useless with every passing day. You knew he would never love you back; otherwise, the other boys would have said something by now. You knew you were in for a rejection, but you were tired of hopelessly longing. And it was better for everybody to let yourself be officially rejected and move on.

Your hand reached for the door handle. Your fingers brushed against the cold metal, and you gripped the handle, taking a deep breath. “Nope, I don't get this,” you decided in a split second, suddenly panicking. You let go of the door and turned around, fully intending to march down the hall back to Seungmin to tell him you failed and maybe to cry a little. Seungmin gave good hugs, so you would be okay.

Unfortunately for you, at that moment the apartment door opened and Felix appeared in the hallway. “Hi! Coming to see Jisung?” He greeted you in English, giving you the signature Felix sunshine smile.

You could but dumbly nod. “Yeah, that's what I'm here for. I need to talk to him,” you ended up saying. You probably sounded too serious, because Felix's smile fell for a moment. He composed himself soon enough, though, linking his arm with yours and not giving you the chance to ponder his reaction. He led you inside almost ceremoniously, just like a king would his queen. Felix released you once you stood in front of Jisung's door.

“Well, I'm off to see Channie-hyung. Be nice to Sungie, please. It was hard for him to do,” Felix said, squeezing your shoulder gently as a form of goodbye. Then he rushed off in the direction you came from, leaving you to stand there utterly confused. 

What did Felix mean by “it was hard for him”? You haven't seen or heard from Jisung for the last two days. And as far as you knew, Stray Kids were on break before comeback season. And knowing Jisung, his plan on how to spend his breaks included exactly three activities: watching anime with Minho, hanging out with you, and occasionally working on some songs. And neither of those things has ever been "hard", so what the hell was Felix on about? 

Lost in your thoughts and theories, you somehow missed that the little blonde gremlin knocked on the door. So you got properly startled when it opened with a click and Jisung's head peaked out. “What are you doing here?” he asked, genuinely surprised.

“Oh, is it a bad time?” you asked anxiously, even the last bits of confidence and determination to confess crumbling down. “I can come back different-”

“No!” Jisung all but yelled. “I mean, no, stay. I actually want to talk about something,” he said, after making sure none of his members were coming to scold him for yelling. 

“Okay,” you smiled. “I wanted to talk to you too, so..." You left the sentence unfinished, letting Jisung take the lead. And he did. Jisung grabbed your arm and dragged you to his room without saying another word. Immediately after closing the door, he apologized, reasoning his behavior by not wanting the members who might be inside the dorm to know you're here. 

“So, can I-” you both said at the same time. Your eyes met, and the laugh both of you let out was nothing short of awkward. This was it, you thought. I'm going to tell him.

“You go first,” you encouraged him as he averted his gaze. You weren’t sure if you would still have the confidence after letting him speak first, but you would manage. It was better to let Jisung talk first; otherwise, he might get too nervous to speak. 

“Okay,” Jisung murmured. "I wanted to tell you, but I never found the courage to, until Felix bullied me into it this morning." He laughed, short and forcibly, to alleviate the heaviness of the situation. Jisung began pacing in front of his bed, not being brave enough to look you in the eyes. “So you know how I usually do a lot of stupid things? Well… I might have done the dumbest one yet. I kinda… accidentally... fell in love. With... with you, I mean. And it's super cliché, I know. I mean, falling for your best friend, who does that?” He chuckled, but it was very clear he's faking it. 

You stood there completely in shock. Did you hear that right? He actually loved you back. Your heart did a little happy dance at his words. So that was what Felix meant. He thought Jisung had already confessed, and that was why you came to the dorm. Which was when you remembered you still needed to tell him. Jisung was beginning to ramble, and that was never a good sign. You quickly reached for his hands, stopping him from fidgeting. “Jisung. Jisung, it's okay. I did that too.” You whispered the last part, but your words were still loud and clear for him. Jisung slowly looked up, finding your eyes. 

“I'm… I'm your best friend,” he said, so quietly that if it weren’t for your close proximity, you wouldn't have heard him. You smiled and nodded, confirming his suspicion. “Can I..." he asked. It was an invitation rather than a question, and despite leaving the statement open, you both knew what he meant.

“Yes,” you breathed out as his lips pressed to yours.

One of my main problems with miraculous is the main villain and how little he’s actually doing in story most of the time

Gabriel never truly gains the own self claimed rivalry he has with ladybug, she ruins he’s plans but in most encounters he just sends minions and someone else screws up (all Akumas being very dumb or guillable, a new hero appearing or the heroes genuinely beating him fair and square) like when he used all miraculous and got himself stunned for overusing ALL miraculous like a idiot

Ladybug never truly defeated Hawkmoth (I’m heroes day she needed back up and he ran away, in sentibug he and Mayura ran away, same for miracle queen, her amulets were useless against mega Akumas, she lose the miraculous to Felix, escaped again by cataclysm himself and we all now how the final battle ended) her only wins against him (not a Akuma or goon, HIM) are getting the bunny miraculous back and in one of the world specials in which she had lots and lots of help

Series’s which last more than three seasons has their heroes constantly facing the villain because otherwise the foe will feel nonexistent after they only see it a couple of times in 72 episodes!

They never feel like foes, there’s examples of good villains like this like the emperor which has this constant presence and power and he’s made even better in the prequels when he appears unchanged but has a lot more involvement in the story at the end, just like Gabriel should (starts the events but in the end he triggers the most important things and brings it all to a climax) the problem is how incompetent he is (so he can’t be a master planner) and how weak he’s been portrayed has after season 2, went from beating the main two alone and without a weapon, to losing against POWERLESS TEENAGERS WITH CONDIMENTS WHEN HAVING TWO MIRACULOUS, ONE OF WHICH IS CREATION ITSELF!!! (so he can’t be threatening by power) and Nathalie is the actual brains of the operation making him look incompetent,weak and stupid all at the same time

A villain with a grudge like Gabriel’s would be constantly figthing agaisnt the heroes and losing by ability of the heroes and not by luck

Heroes constantly chasing after him, heroes he has a genuinely hard time facing, heroes who make him lose things (like going to prison, losing Allie’s, losing the Mcguffin, hurting someone beloved to the bad guy like a right hand)

Gabriel can work has villain, but not one who has a obsession like the Joker, or someone you can feel the hate coming from like Eggman, not even a rival’s who have a long story like Bowser

Because by all accounts he shouldn’t care about the heroes, only their miraculous, ladybug has only pushed he’s plans back but never succeeded at even making him lose something

That’s my other problem, Gabriel acts like ladybug won the war when in reality she had only wan battles, but never made any progress (Gabriel was actually the one winning the war with getting rid of the guardian and damning Chloe and having the zodiac miraculous)

He does the bare minimum, is portrayed has a easy to beat trash, the heroes do nothing to beat him making him constantly somewhat win the important battles by doing nothing, and it never feels like there’s a real rivalry or fiendship

Even shows 10 times worse than miraculous Can do actually good villains, even parody’s can make better villains, even telenovelas can make better villains!!!!

Honestly, the show should have just booted Gabriel from the main villain spot by the end of Season 3, maybe Season 4, because at this point, he's long overstayed his welcome, even if he wasn't a complete moron.

I said the Biggest Idiot Award was lifted from Phelous' reviews of Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, but there's one clip in particular that can be used to explain how inept both the heroes and villains are.

Like you said, the finale clearly tried to make the final battle between Bug Noire and Monarch as epic as possible, like Superman vs Lex Luthor, but Marinette and Gabriel have spent so little time together, you just can't get invested in their supposedly bitter rivalry. Even the finale made a bigger deal about their connection being their respective relationships with Adrien instead of their roles as hero and villain.

Okay I’m STILL procrastinating watching s15 bc I’m SCARED so here’s my extremely biased ratings/opinions on the episodes of s14 to help me procrastinate (episodes which are multiple parts of a single story will be condensed into one slot)

Room Zero: SO cute and good, I LOVED the animation style, it was simple and short but really well done with great colors, fun alien designs, and fluid animation, and I just like seeing the guys go on missions like that. It's a shame that the animated show never got picked up bc I would've adored seeing more of it. 10/10

From Stumbled Beginnings: Very cute and funny origin story for Simmons and Grif, and I love that they were p much always together since they enlisted lmao makes their dynamic rlly good and the humor actually got a couple laughs out of me. 8/10

Fifty Shades of Red: Sarge's humor never quite landed with me like is has for some people (my boyfriend lmao I literally have to pause episodes sometimes so he can stop laughing. Anyway) but it was a very humorous and in character origin for him as well. 5/10

Why They’re Here: Less interesting than the previous two, obviously just meant to fill in plot "holes" and to also show us the origins of the other characters. Also I am completely ignoring that one line from Tucker in the interview, just gonna chalk it up to the "edgy" humor it does not exist to me. 4/10

The Brick Gulch Chronicles: WONDERFUL stop motion, very fun and cute and entertaining, very wholesome and still in the vibe with what the show itself is. I appreciate the willingness to do stop motion for most of it. 10/10

Red Army Unit FH57’s Adventure: It was kinda interesting and kinda funny but I found myself kinda tuning it out cuz it just felt kinda whatever. The combo of the different animation styles was cool though and I thought the ship misunderstanding them was funny. 5/10

Locus and Felix: Okay I'm gonna be a black sheep for a second and say that I rlly don't care that much about Locus and Felix. I don't think Felix is a secretly deep sadboi whom I'm gonna spend an unnecessary amount of time thinking about, I don't think Locus as secretly good all along, and I don't care that much about their partnership and what they were like before Chorus. That being said, the animation here is absolutely gorgeous, this is probably my favorite animated story in the whole season, it looks awesome. The plot is nothing special but who cares like I said it's beautiful, 6/10

Fight the Good Fight!: VERY funny and well-executed propaganda video, short and sweet and nothing more to it. It does its job. 5/10

Meta vs. Carolina: Dawn of Awesome: Another one I really don't care for because literally everything leading UP to the fight between Meta and Carolina is a waste of time. Maybe some people really care about their weapons and stats, but I don't. And even then, you kinda know Carolina is gonna win the fight, the question is just how. 4/10

Grey vs. Gray: I don't know or care about the Game Grumps and the entire thing felt like a short gag that went on for way too long with a predictable ending. 2/10

Caboose's Guide to Making Friends: Again, ADORABLE art style and very cute having a story be told from Caboose's perspective. 7/10

Head Cannon: Kinda funny I guess. I wish we'd gotten it spread out more equally among the heads Omega jumped into. Ik he didn't spend equal time in there but who cares. Whatever, still funny. 5/10

Get Bent: I LAUGHED PROBABLY THE HARDEST AT THIS ONE AND THAT'S MOSTLY BC OF LESBIAN DONUT IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD AND IT WAS HILARIOUS (also hello, bisexual church?) 9/10

Red vs. Blue: The Musical: it was fine. it was creative. The dancing was well animated. Enjoyable. 5/10

Mr. Red vs. Mr. Blue: I haven't seen Reservoir Dogs but Kaikaina was in this which automatically boosts it to a 8/10 (I also like that they have movie nights it's cute)

RvB Throwdown: Fine but mostly forgettable. 3/10

The Triplets Story: REALLY interesting concept (y'all know I love the freelancers) that felt like it dragged on too long and only gave Ohio something to do. 4/10

Immersion: The Warthog Flip: I loved the costumes and the actual Warthog and it got a couple laughs out of me. 5/10

Red vs. Blue vs. Rooster Teeth: This was made for the fans/themselves. As someone who is neither, none of it was funny and I just kinda waited for it to be over. At least the animation of the armor irl looked rlly good

So I've read through your ml posts and you seem to dislike the sentimonster theory. Valid, obviously, but I don't know/remember the reason? So I'd like to hear it - if it's because it doesn't make sense, because you don't like the concept, or literally any reason at all. And if it's a reason like logic, what would it take for you to like the concept? Again, it's completely valid if you don't like it at all for no explainable reason, I'm just curious because I'm not opposed to the theory and also I like your writing and what I understand/know about you as a person so I'd like to know why you feel the way you do :D

So! My issues with the Sentimonster Plot have to do with the execution, not the ideas. The ideas I think could have been solid if given proper support!

Let's focus on the downsides first:

The plot holes! There's a lot. Off the top of my head:

Adrien, in the first three seasons, was directly disobeying Gabriel's orders. Him being rebellious was such a big character trait that his introduction in Origins was him disobeying Gabriel's orders! Compare that to Season 4/5, where he does not disobey, where he follows orders. While you could argue that 'oh Gabriel just didn't use the Amok before!', why didn't he when he's clearly comfortable doing so later?

How do Gabriel and Nathalie not know that Chat is a Sentimonster? Though it is later retconned into them only being able to sense the Amok, in 'Feast' Nathalie clearly senses the Sentimonster. (I have gone on a tangent of how she had to have sensed the Sentimonster, not the Amok, because if she sensed the Amok then her knowing that Feast is a Sentimonster is a large leap in logic)

Why didn't Gabriel use Adrien's Amok in either 'Gorizilla' or 'Chat Blanc'? Even if Adrien managed to circumvent those orders through loopholes, that could have been utilized!

Adrien has been hit with Cataclysm before. His reaction was what we see from Humans, not from Sentimonsters.

While Felix being a Sentimonster was mildly foreshadowed, Kagami being a Sentimonster came out of nowhere.

There are other things though!

For one thing, there's the fact that this came with saying that all Sentimonsters are Sapient Beings. Not only does this seem unlikely given how..... not Sapient most act, but it adds in horrifying implications as that jacks up the series' on-screen kill count.

It also wasn't set up well. Not even with the plotholes, but because there was no buildup. Sentimonsters weren't even introduced until the last few minutes of the Season 2 finale! And we didn't start getting hints to Adrien being a Sentimonster until /maybe/ the end of Season 3. I compare this often to other kids' shows with twists like Steven Universe or Gravity Falls, where the twists are foreshadowed as early as the first episode.

Given the fact that we currently don't have any way to truly free a Sentimonster from the Amok's control, I do not like the narrative there. Even if Adrien is given his Amok, there's always that possibility of someone else controlling him. It would be much more satisfying if he's freed from it, whether it be by Maribug saving him or by him going all Ella Enchanted and giving himself the order to not listen to orders. But even that latter one has been proven to not work. Not to mention that, even if he manages to hold on to the Amok, the Peacock User could just dispel him in a snap.

Another thing I have with it is a more biased note rather than a criticism of Canon, but I don't like how casually the Peacock can create Sapient Life. I personally feel that the act of creating Life, even accidentally, should be a difficult process that takes time and energy and even a little danger. This maaaaaay be because I came from FMA:B. So ya know. But I feel that the Peacock casually creating Sapient Beings is too OP, and it should be nerfed by either being unable to do that, or by the Sentimonsters having /potential/ to become real, but not by default.

Now! That said!

I do like the /theoretical/ idea of the Sentimonsters! While I criticized the version in ML, I do love the idea of Sapient Life coming from some non-Sapient source! Whether it be Cloning, AI programming, some sort of Homonculus, or even just going full Velveteen Rabbit, I love that. Bonus points for the 'how do I know I'm real/alive/have emotions/etc' angst! I also do like the idea of Adrien being controlled in some way, but I want him to be able to fully break free.

So ways to fix it:

Foreshadow this earlier. Firstly would be introducing the idea of Sentimonsters at some point very early on. Mention them and let us learn more, so that we could match it to Adrien's behavior. Speaking of! Have Adrien follow Gabriel's orders more! If you want him to still be rebellious, have him be sneaky! Use loopholes and wordplay to let him say '/technically/ I'm doing what I was told!'.

Have Gabriel utilize the Amok in times where he suspects Adrien of being Chat Noir. Adrien could still utilize loopholes here to get out of it! Like Gabriel orders him 'Tell the truth, are you Chat Noir?" and Adrien, using the logic of how he's not Chat Noir right now(aka: not Transformed) says 'nope!'.

Give a reason that Nathalie and Gabriel can't sense Chat being a Sentimonster through the Peacock. Either Canon's retcon of 'only sensing the Amok' or something like 'being Transformed muddles the signal'.

So on and so forth.

Fix it so that Adrien (and Felix and Kagami if you're keeping them all) is unique compared to the other Sentimonsters. Whether it be because he was designed to be Sapient, or because something else was added/done to make him Real, have that. This would free us from the fucked implications of Maribug's killcount.

And then give us the freedom! Again, I'd prefer something Ella Enchanted-esque. But if you have Ladybug's Cure do something or drag in the Eagle Miraculous, it's fine.

Okay my TOP 5 FAVORITE FICS……. This was simultaneously a hard and an easy question at the same time but:

I know most people are going to wonder where Lost in Translation is and I LOVE that fic, but weirdly it took me a very short amount of time to write so it never quite stuck with me like the others did! WTRS/WTSL series was my favorite series by far, it was just supposed to be porn with a plot and I literally spun a wheel with some options to determine where the characters would have sex, AND to pick which member it was going to involve 🤫 I was so reluctant when I got Minho bc I really wasn’t familiar with writing him but I think it created a completely new version of him in my mind and the character and world building just wouldn’t stop once I started it. It was also my most highly requested fic for a part 2 considering part 1 had a severe lack of resolution and I just fell in love with the characters (I think I was extremely Minho biased for weeks after finishing it lmao). Seasons was a challenge for me but I always love writing about Felix and I think putting myself in the headspace of that little town was super healing and I was SO sad when I reached the end of it. Biker Minho smut was probably my most self-fulfilling one regarding ✨spiciness✨ and maybe my most requested drabble for a part 2 (highly considering it if you guys want it? 👀) he’s just so FINE….. and last but certainly not least was VOYIS, I actually researched a lot of art techniques and I listened to a lot of classical music while writing this one so it was just an experience! I was immediately intrigued at the request itself, which is why it’s tied with Begged and Borrowed as they were the two I was so interested in I wrote them at the same time, literally switching back and forth between documents 😅

I have pack logistics questions so pardon me if this is nerdy but I’m a certified lore whore. Also it’s long…just like Channie’s..nose😊

1) for camping/pack runs, if there a general meal planned established then do select members go shopping? Does cooking responsibility switch each time or does it stay pretty consistent?Or is it kinda all for yourself bring your own food(even if everyone ends up sharing?

2) does the entire pack take off ever every single full moon? Do some of them get special accommodations if it happens during the week? Do any of the boys get a bit moody if their partner can’t join them for midweek runs?

3) does the pack as a consensus on the best season to run on or is it individual? If so what?

4) do packs in this universe have anything to physically show/establish them as being apart of a certain pack? Easily I think like a ring or necklace, little more permanent would be like a tattoo.

5) do you think the pack would struggle once/if the moved into individual homes? Like I can’t see them living across town from each other, but I can imagine living that close for that long and then not smelling or sensing all your mates might be jarring to a wolf.

5) wolves have a LOT of pride. Is Chan’s response stronger than anyone else’s (besides a mate’s) when one of his packmates are disrespected or hurt? Think like if he heard someone calling Min a “halfbreed/mutt” or picking/threatening jisung or Felix because they are male omegas. How quick is his wolf to violence in those cases?

6) Do they jokingly call the extra rooms where they can ride out ruts and heats “horny jail”

7) Do the pack parents keep maybe like a rough schedule (or specific if the individual is comfortable sharing it)of cycles for everyone that way they could predict when tempers might be higher?

8) besides others they are romantically involved with, do the wolves think about themselves as packmates in a “this is my friend” way or a “this is my sibling way”? For our humans, since they don’t have a wolf in their brain do they truly feel part of the pack? Like when they really soak in the moment with all of them do they think “I love my pack” or do they think “I love my friends/siblings”?

they try to plan what they're gonna eat on their days there. so, yes. they'll make a list of items and a few of the pack members will go to the grocery store to get the items (it's usually jeongin + autumn + changbin, but they might rotate every once in a while if the three of them aren't up for it). sometimes they prepare the meals and take them already ready just to re-heat, other times they just take the groceries and cook there. if they cook beforehand, tasks are split between households. if they cook during the trip, it's usually felix cooking, but others help frequently because he refuses to cook alone for that many people (not like other pack members would let him anyway kfjhskjf).

they always go together. i think Chris might be able to count the times they didn't with one hand (runs are very VERY important for werewolves, so missing one can get them a bit... cranky). for those that work in a supernatural environment (like Jisung), they probably just need to submit some paperwork at the beginning f the year with the nights they need and they always get them approved since it's a necessity. for those working in human spaces, they either call in sick or try to get days off. those with partners, they sulk if their partner can't come for one reason or another (Chris is the king of sulking whenever he has to spend a full moon without pretty nowadays. hell, even if it's just going out for a run and it's not a full moon, he'll sulk lol).

it's all personal preference. if i had to decide fave seasons for each ones: winter = chris, seungmin | autumn: changbin, ginger, jisung | summer = felix, jeongin | spring = minho, hyunjin (as usual, this is subject to change, it's just what i think at this present time lol).

some packs do (i like to think Moss' does. i just haven't decided what they have yet). Chris' doesn't, mostly because none of them has felt the need to have anything.

they would. i think it'll feel unnatural to not be close to each other, so moving too far away is just not an option. it's in their nature to live together and ensure everyone's well fed and taken care of (whatever this last bit entitles...). for Chris' pack, if they move out of their current den and into houses, i'm sure they'll only do it if they find adjacent houses. like, they literally need to be right next to each other/in front of each other or they won't move. it'd probably feel a bit weird at first since they're not in the same space, but i'm sure they'll get used to it eventually. but yeah, the closer together the houses are, the better.

it honestly depends. i feel like Chris particularly is heavily influenced by the moon cycle. depending on the phase of the moon he can either react very violently or very logically. he always tries to go the logical route because, you know, he's their Leader and he has to act all collected. but... yeah, i'm sure he's gotten in a few fights in his life over things like these lol. it can get pretty ugly if the full moon's close.

i love this actually. so, yes. yes they do.

of course. not only to be aware of mood changes, but also to make sure they're more or less available in case they're needed to help with anything (like getting them supplies and whatnot).

i think it goes beyond "this is my friend" and "this is my sibling". it's a type of bond that it's not easily explained, it's just... they're just pack members. and yes, humans that fully integrate into the pack feel this way, too. i suppose there could be humans that don't integrate completely, so they'd be more on the "these are my friends for life" kinda mindset, but it's not the case for Chris' pack. pretty and kitten are fully integrated into the dynamic.

Maybe I'm missing something, but your pretenstion review you mentioned Ladybug de-evilizing amoks and it made me think, why does ladybug have to de-evilize the amoks anyway? All the sentis ladybug hasn't de-evilized didn't cause any problems later on unlike the akuma from origins who the multiplied and all that. If Ladybug hadn't de-evilized, let's say reflekdoll, what if the amok weren't de-evilized? would she have spawned again like stoneheart? Then why didn't other non-de-evilized sentis like Ladybug or red moon spawn again?

The obvious answer would be inconsistency and illogical lore , I just think it's so funny how the show tries to made a point that sentis deserve rights and all that, but the de-evilizing thing also sort of implies that senti beings are "evil". And even if one argues that the ones from Monarch are evil and those from argos aren't, there is no real difference bewteen them other than who created them. They're still unanatonomous beings controlled by an object. Besides, I think the ladybug one from mayura wasn't de-evilized and that didn't cause problems.

... Idk I'm probably thinking too much about it or miss something obvious, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

The thing is that, even though the show tries to about how Sentimonsters are just as alive as human beings, it tends to ignore why people are so opposed to Sentimonsters in the first place.

For two seasons, both Nathalie and Gabriel used the Peacock Miraculous to create Sentimonsters who were specifically designed to cause as much damage as possible (Heroes' Day, Reflekdoll, Miraculer, Ladybug, Miracle Queen, Truth, Queen Banana, Mega Leech, Guiltrip, Kuro Neko, Strikeback), and none of those incidents are ever mentioned. Even in "Emotion", the episode meant to make us sympathize with Felix, it only gave us more reasons to fear Sentimonsters because a single one created by a pissed off teenager nearly exterminated the human race. Clearly, this is the best person to teach us that Sentimonsters aren't all evil.

Other than Adrien, Felix, and Kagami, we never really see any instances of humans and Sentimonsters coexisting because, like you said, during Seasons 3 and 4, Ladybug de-evilized their Amoks and treated them as disposable minions for Mayura and Shadowmoth, and the two instances where it could have happened, they were instantly snapped away and nobody really seemed to care (Ladybug, Sentibubbler).

Intentional or not, the show presents us with an interesting moral dilemma it refuses to take advantage of: Should the heroes allow Felix to use the Peacock Miraculous to create more Sentimonsters that could possibly endanger innocent lives, or take away the Peacock while ignoring the potential the Sentimonsters have to help us by working together with humanity?

Let's talk about why Miracle and Plague will be a short series and additionally why I chose to write out characters such as Kagami, Zoe, Felix (I'm sorry baby </3)

Miracle and Plague won't be very long. In fact, It will be twice as short as the canon, purely because I feel like the series lost that sparkle, that thing that really made it special somewhere in the season 3. All of it started feeling worn out, boring or just annoying. It's also when the decision to re-estate Chloe as a villain really took place, so I'm obviously very displeased with how the seasons went on, but It's not the only reason! Adrien's character got completely assasinated, replaced by 10 and more heroes. I really like the doubt arc they had going for him, but It was never actually memorable or so impactful. All the focus seemed to be on Marinette and her issues, but the character who's the closest to the main villain, the one with a ton of their own insecurities to be explored was pushed aside. To add to that, the newer heroes were becoming boring or just straight up made me sigh when Ladybug needed to go get someone to help. Don't even get me started on the mass-hero episodes like Partycrusher or Penalteam. It was a lot squished together into 2 seasons where If not for the miraculous reveal, It would've been nothing short of a filler episode.

I feel like not adding too many plotlines, characters is simply a better idea. It'll ensure that all the existing ones will be explored to their best potential. Adrien's family story, Chloe's character, Chloe and Sabrina's relationship, Jiayi and Lila's relationship/rivalry, Alya's hero potential, Lila's urge for chaos, Monarch/Gabriel's motivation, Master Fu's backstory, possible expansion of Wonders - these are very good plotlines! Not even mentioning the side/less important plots like Luka and Jiayi's past, Unicorn band, Juleka wanting to be a model, Juleka and Rose's plot, Alix's hidden Wonder, Natalie's crush on Gabriel, Adrien's self-discovery. There's a LOT of them already and to add like 10 more just because I want a new character would extend and complicate the plot further. Not that I wouldn't take the challenge, but I just want to see this series conclude in a way that in my opinion is more satisfying than whatever we're getting.

As for the characters I wrote out.. I think most of them already have a sort of pattern to them where you can tell why I removed them.

Zoe. Oh Zoe, the worst character I've had the displeasure of seeing on screen. I already reblogged plenty of content in regards to her, so I'll just refrain from writing a rant on that excuse of a character.

As much as I would've loved to keep Kagami (I still might), I really feel she wouldn't fit the narrtive so nicely. Of course, she appears in Riposte, but upon reviewing the timeline of MnP, that's literally the only episode she is taking an active part in as of today. I don't really see a reason to keep her in the lore If she'll appear once and never again, It feels a bit counterproductive, but like I said, I am still thinking about this one, because her and Adrien have so much potential in development; both coming from strict, cold households, both fencing... They do have quite a bit in common. Maybe If I just move Riposte to season 1....

Moving on to Felix, I believe I already mentioned that my first opinion of him was bitter. I didn't really like him being there and the fact that he look eerily like Adrien as If they'd reused his model was just weird (ig now we know WHY season 5 spoilers). Then, the opinion shifted to much better after mostly Emotion really and since then I really did like him, but... Looking at his journey from the end of season 3 to here and his role in the overarching plot I feel like he just wouldn't fit to MnP, not with the format I'm going for.

Besides, can I just mention how random it was that Emilie and Felix's mom look literally identical AND their sons look identical as well? It made me so confused when I first watched the episode lmao

First impression:

A bad one, in all honesty. Felix’s debut episode introduces him as kind of a petty jerk, with no clear motivation and a disregard for consequences. Many people are still (understandably) pissed about the whole trying-to-kiss-Ladybug debacle (which, honestly, is not that surprising given the writers’, uh, WEIRD philosophy of consent), and it’s been detrimental to their appreciation of the character in the long run.

In retrospect, though. That introduction was brilliant in many other ways. I wrote about it here for those interested!

Impression now

A BABY. A baby created specifically to cater to my tastes, might I add. I’ve been wanting to make a list of all the reasons I love him, so here goes:

1. Huuuge Clive Dove vibes (complex antagonist, smartest character in the show, identity fraud enthusiast, willing to tear down oppressive power structures by force — they even share a sense of style)

2. Clear queer metaphor (more on that in another post from yours truly, which never showed up in the tags for some reason — Tumblr is homophobic)

3. (Implied EDIT: not implied anymore) abuse survivor

4. Growth! Between the aforementioned kissing fiasco and his talk with Kagami in Pretention, Felix has learnt to accept and respect boundaries. To me, this is key — the most important aspect of a character is not where they start, but how they evolve as the story progresses.

5. He has a complicated relationship with the adults in his life, but an immense love for his cousin/clone (although he sure has a strange way of showing it)

6. Quick to fall in love with a girl who can and will kick his butt. I mean, is anything more relatable than that?

7. The Greek mythology reference??? Hellooo???

8. Peacocks were my favourite bird growing up. One day I will tell you all the story of how one of them chased my father and I through a park when I was a toddler.

9. I also break into musical numbers in the midst of important tasks, just because I can. Perks of working from home most of the time.

10. Also, PURPLE. Can’t forget the purple.

Favorite moment

Him exchanging Ladybug’s yoyo against the Peacock Miraculous at the end of Strikeback. Her panicking in parallel really sold how monumental of a move this was.

Rule of thumb: if a character is smarter than everyone else in the room — especially if they’re an antagonist or morally grey figure outsmarting an abusive a**hole like Gabriel — there’s a strooong chance they’re going to be my favourite.

(POST-REPRESENTATION EDIT: Scratch that. It’s the lovely little heart on the lovely window to make his lovely girlfriend giggle. Sue me.)

Idea for a story

I’d love to see what Adrien and Felix were like growing up. It’s clear that their relationship means a lot to the both of them, and it would certainly add some depth to the Sentibeing storyline.

Also, if I could change just one aspect of Felix’s arc, it would be to make him explicitely queer (the exact label doesn’t matter that much to me).

EDIT: I lied. This boy is transmasc and demi bi now. Deal with it.

Unpopular opinion

Maybe not exactly "unpopular" but rather "controversial", as the fandom seems to be pretty heavenly split on the matter: I really, really like (EDIT: LOVE ADORE WORSHIP) Feligami as of now.

I was quite worried over how the ship would play into Felix’s arc, but so far it’s been written so well it feels natural: of course the two queer-coded abuse survivors would be perfect for each other! It makes sense from a thematic and character-driven perspective.

Both kids bring something to the table. Felix hands Kagami the keys to her freedom; in turn, she keeps him in check when he’s being a jerk. Because we see them work so well together (and understand why they work so well together) almost immediately, Feligami doesn’t feel rushed like I feared it would; in fact, I find it quite refreshing after 5 seasons of whatever is going on with the Love Square.

Now here’s hoping the writing team keeps building their relationship into a strong, healthy one!

I love Felix and Amelie’s relationship so much. The fact that they both trust each other blindly warms my heart, especially now that we’ve learnt about the implied (EDIT: OH GOD NOT IMPLIED NOT IMPLIED AT ALL) abuse from Colt. They’re each other’s person.

Ooh seasonal prompt: the blue lions (whichever or all of them) at a pride celebration/parade?

(There was no way to do this in 3 sentences so uh. Have a whole fic instead :3 Packed full of headcanons of course!)

By the time Mercedes and Annette came back from the grocery store-- weighed down with extra water bottles and a variety of snacks-- it looked as if their friends were nearly ready for the pride parade. A laptop in the corner of the living room was shuffling through a playlist of all their favorite songs, perfectly underscoring the mild chaos Mercedes’ apartment now contained.

Ashe sat on the floor surrounded by his pride pin collection, apparently trying to organize them on his backpack. The pack already bore many styles of the bisexual flag but Ashe seemed to be stuck on where to place his two polyamorous pins. Beside him sat Felix, who wore Mercedes’ spare trans flag as a cape and looked annoyed at Ashe’s fastidious decorating. 

Over on the couch, both of Sylvain’s cheeks were painted with the stripes of the asexual flag. He was attempting to convince Dimitri to add flare to his eyepatch. “Maybe you could write ‘A Bi For An Eye’ or something?” Sylvain suggested, smeering sunscreen on his arms.

Dimitri laughed. “You think that would fit on a single eyepatch?” He was fiddling with a rainbow fan, opening it and closing it with a rhythm that betrayed his nerves. Mercedes didn’t blame him. While Mercedes, Annette, and Sylvain had attended pride parades before, this would be everyone else’s first time. 

When Dedue came forward to help with the shopping bags, Mercedes motioned for them to lower their head so she could speak in their ear. “If anyone gets too overwhelmed, you can use my spare key to bring them back here.”

“Understood,” Dedue said with a solemn nod.

Mercedes smiled and pecked them on the cheek. “That includes you too, you know!” Chuckling, Dedue followed Annette into the kitchen-- her white, pink, and blue hair ribbons flowing behind her. There was just one person left to check on.

Ingrid stood in the bedroom almost exactly where Mercedes had left her. Brightly colored outfits lay on the bed, surrounded by glittering jewelry and a small pile of pride-themed trinkets Mercedes had accumulated over the years. Ingrid was staring at them with a hand to her chin, eyebrows furrowed, mouth a tight frown.

“We’re almost ready,” Mercedes said as she stepped inside. “Have you made any progress?”

“I picked out these shoes,” Ingrid said, shaking one foot to draw attention to her sneakers without looking away from the bed. “They should be comfortable enough for standing around in.”

Mercedes joined Ingrid by the bed. “That’s a very good start,” she praised. 

Ingrid hummed distractedly. Then she sighed and ran both hands through her short blonde hair. “I just don’t know, Mercedes.”

“That’s okay! No one said you had to pick a label.”

“But I have to be something, right?” Ingrid gestured down at herself, looking at Mercedes with something close to desperation. “I mean, I like girls, but I kind of like boys too sometimes. And then there’s-- well, I was doing some research online last week and I think I might be aromantic? But I’m still not sure.”

Ingrid let out a groan and sank onto the bed, displacing a few potential outfits. “How can I have pride in something I’m not sure about? Something I didn’t know existed 8 days ago? I might not even be right!” Ingrid lowered her face into her hands with another defeated exhale. 

A floorboard creaked behind Mercedes, and she turned to see everyone clustered around the doorway, watching Ingrid with troubled expressions. She put her finger to her lips to keep them quiet.

Crossing to her closet, Mercedes called over her shoulder. “What was that first thing you said?”

Ingrid hesitated. “Um. I like girls?”

“Then here.” Mercedes pulled a hat from the top shelf and held it out to Ingrid with a grin. The hat was white, with the words ‘Girl Liker’ embroidered in black cursive across the front. 

Ingrid stared at the hat, reading the simple phrase again and again. Still grinning, Mercedes put it on Ingrid’s head. “You don’t have to “be” anything, Ingrid,” she said as Ingrid adjusted the hat. “You can just come out with us and have a fun day.”

“And it’s gonna be a lot of fun!” Annette chirped from the doorway. Ingrid jumped, noticing the audience for the first time.

“All this fuss,” Felix scoffed. “If you wear something colorful enough, no one will care what you are or aren’t.”

“Felix is correct, even if he phrased it poorly,” Dimitri said, earning himself a glare from Felix.

Ashe approached Ingrid and held out one of his many buttons, this one just a rainbow. “If nothing else, this flag’s got you. That’s what it’s for, after all.” 

Ingrid took the pin and turned it in her hand. It looked a bit rusted around the edges. Mercedes wondered how long Ashe had owned it. Then, with a small smile, Ingrid closed her fist around it. “Thank you, everyone,” she said. “I apologize for my outburst.”

“Nothing to apologize for!” Mercedes made a shooing motion at their friends. “It’s my turn to get changed and then I expect everyone to be ready to go! Don’t forget to pack water!” With some gentle encouragement from Dedue, the others left the doorway, Sylvain closing the door with a wink at Ingrid. 

Hands on her hips, Mercedes turned back to Ingrid, who sat straighter now with her hat and her pin. “Okay! Let’s finish your makeover!”

Yes, my response gave you the impression that I was trying to be rude. I apologize if this came across as harsh. I didn't mean to be rude to you.

Regarding Lila, it seems deliberate that we know very little about her. While initially, we were introduced to Lila as someone who constantly lies, there was some information presented that many believed to be true until it was revealed to be another lie. Until she became the main antagonist, the writers focused primarily on the part of the story that explained her hatred towards the main lead and her path to becoming the next main villain, creating a sense of mystery around who she really is and dropping hints (And just because we don't see the final picture doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The whole Adrien is Sentimonster storyline was connected to what happened with Emilie, as it explains why she used the Peacock Miraculous, which, in turn, explains her fate) about that for the audience. It follows a similar formula to the Agreste arc, which took 100 episodes to answer why Emilie used the Peacock Miraculous. I guess that they will unveil more about Lila in the next story arc when she receives a greater focus in the plot. Mysteries are one of driving forces of the show.

I would also like to add that don't expect the 6th season to resolve most of the storylines. It's the beginning of the next story arc. Everything you'll be asking for in the next season could simply be stretched over 4-5 seasons. It really seems that many people were expecting the 6th season's story to be similar to the 4th season of Kim Possible.

In any case, I'm not trying to offend you in any way. Maybe I could have expressed the previous message better, but it is difficult to do when disagreement with other people's opinions can sometimes be interpreted with different emotions. I see why everything that happened in the fandom came to be that it is very divided

So like. My point with my frustrations isn't so much that 'this hasn't been explained yet because it's the beginning of a new arc'.

It's that

1.) Lila is a character who has been here for five seasons, but was basically absent for two of those seasons, and is now being dragged in as someone super important with no real buildup to this. Until we got the reveal in the final two minutes of her last episode before the finale, she was just a barely-a-threat meangirl who appeared every other season and has less character development than the minor classmates. Going from that to our new Big Bad who is going to be in every episode is quite jarring when any of the previous episodes could have been used to make her more of a threat and to show her ambitions are far higher than just 'lies to make friends before she moves again'.

2.) It's part of a chronic problem that ML has where plot points just.... appear out of nowhere. Adrien being a Sentimonster wasn't even really hinted at until Season 4(we had a few cryptic scenes in Season 3, but that's vague). Felix didn't appear until Season 3 after years of TA saying he'd never show up. Kagami being a Sentimonster and Tomoe being involved with Gabriel's supervillain actions didn't exist until Season 5. Chloé's whole arc and motivations were clearly changed halfway through writing the Season 3 finale. Zoé didn't exist until Season 4. The characters ages get retconned all the time. There are things all throughout the previous seasons that directly contradict these new plot points.

It's incredibly frustrating because, at times, I can see where they want things to go. But it just.... wasn't planned out and despite having time to adjust things (According to the dates on the scripts, Season 4-5 were being written while Seasons 2-3 were in pre-production and things could be altered), nothing is done about this issue.
