As you bit into another Valentines chocolate, you sighed, staring out the window. You wanted to go out, but the city was crowded, busy with all the couples wandering around town.
You hated that the idea of walking around alone on Valentines Day made you feel bad, it shouldn't, there as nothing wrong with it, you knew that. But you couldn't seem to leave the house anyways.
It had been years since you last celebrated Valentines Day, and you had to admit, you kind of missed it. You liked that there was a holiday were you could be more romantic than normal, be more cheesy than normal, and it didn't come off as weird.
You didn't mind being single, but there were parts of being in a relationship that you missed. The dates, the inside-jokes, the intimacy.
Without meaning it to, you suddenly thought of Shang-Chi. You wondered what he was doing right now.
Did he have a date? No, he would have told you about that. Wouldn't he?
You felt your chest clench. Even if he did, you wouldn't want to hear about it.
When Valentines Day approached, you couldn't ignore the daydream of him finally asking you out. Confirming if he had feelings for you once and for all. Finally telling you if those times you caught him staring at you, or the jealousy he seemed to show when guys hit on you were all signs he had feelings for you.
But it was now Valentines Day, and he hadn't said a peep. He hadn't even brought it up at all.
Looking over at a set of drawers in your living room, you thought of the gift you bought him that was now shoved away in the drawer. You hoped you would be able to give it to him today, but it didn't seem like it was going to happen. You figured you'd save it, maybe until his birthday.
A few days before when you were with Shang-Chi, you tried to naturally bring up the topic of Valentines Day.
You were passing a flower shop and you pointed out all the flowers. Pointing to a guy buying yellow carnations.
"Yikes." You whispered out.
"What?" Shang-Chi asked.
"Yellow carnations, bad idea."
"Why?"
"They mean rejection and disappointment"
Shang-Chi looked back over at the man and frowned "Let's hope whoever he's buying them for doesn't know that."
You chuckled before pointing at yellow roses "Those are often meant as a symbol of friendship, but often mean infidelity and jealousy, and used to be used as a symbol of betrayal and separation. Wouldn't wanna buy those for your Valentine either."
He chuckled "How do you know all this?"
You shrugged "One of my first jobs in high-school was working part-time in a flower shop. I loved learning about all the secret meanings behind them."
He grinned at you and your heart fluttered. You loved when he looked at you like that.
Walking over to one of the flower-shop workers, you picked a single flower and bought it. Shang-Chi watched you with curiosity.
Walking back over to him, you handed him a sunflower.
He took it gently and met your eyes "What does this mean?"
You smiled "Friendship"
Though sunflowers could be associated with friendship. Their truer meaning was that of loyalty, adoration and pure love, but you didn't feel brave enough to say that.
You were shaken from your thoughts as you heard your doorbell ring. Humming in curiosity at the sudden visitor, you walked to the door and peaked through the peep-hole. Seeing Shang-Chi in the hall, you felt your heart skip a beat.
What was he doin here?
Opening the door, you tried to hide your surprise with a smile "Shang-Chi, hey!" You said cheerfully.
He grinned at you "Hey."
"What's up?"
He shrugged as he lifted up a bag from your favorite food-spot "I thought I might stop by to see if you were hungry."
Your chest was tight as butterflies raged through your stomach. "How do you always know when I'm hungry?" You joked.
He shrugged his head and smiled "Friend intuition."
As you stepped aside, Shang-Chi walked in and made his way to the kitchen. You watched him for a moment as you tried to steady your breath. You wondered if he remembered today was Valentines Day, or if it had slipped his mind entirely.
Taking out the food, you and Shang-Chi fell into a familiar pattern. Sitting across from each other at the kitchen island, dividing the food and talking about your day. But you noticed Shang-Chi had an odd demeanor around him. You watched him closely as he picked at his food.
Looking up he caught you and froze for a second "What?"
You set down your fork and stared at him for a moment "Something's wrong."
He sat up a bit as he looked around at the food "What, did I forget something?"
You shook your head "I mean with you, your all fidgety, like you can't sit still, what's going on?"
Shang-Chi opened his mouth as if to defend himself, but he paused before taking in a deep breath and letting it out. Tapping the kitchen island a few times, you watched as he stood up and made his way towards the door.
"Shang-Chi?" You asked as you stood up. Was he leaving? Did you do something to upset him?
Shang-Chi opened the door and stepped out, but left your door open. You stood still as you watched him round the corner before he appeared again. Your breath caught in your throat as he held a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
He seemed nervous as he closed the door and walked up to you. As he handed you the flowers, you were speechless.
Finally finding your words, you spoke softly, "What are these for?" You knew, but you need to hear it.
"Valentines Day."
You met his eyes, and everything you wanted to ask came out in only one word "Why?"
Slowly, he pointed out each type of flower and spoke softly "Light red carnations for affection, pink peonies for attraction and passion, and primrose...meaning 'I can't live without you', and-" he pointed to a single sunflower in the middle of the bouquet "-adoration and pure-"
"-love." You finished for him as you slowly met his eyes.
He shrugged his head softly as he smiled shyly "After you gave me that sunflower, I looked it up, I knew you had to know all the meanings. And I hoped, that- that it meant you felt the same as me. So, I spent all night researching various flowers and then all morning finding the right bouquet to give you."
You gently ran your fingers over the flowers "The same as you?" You said in a whisper. Did that mean, what you had hoped he felt, was right?
He tilted his head as he looked at you "Do you?" He asked, a subtle hint of fear in his voice.
You nodded your head as smile played at your lips "Yes."
His smile grew into a grin as you saw him relax a bit.
Suddenly remembering the gift you got him, you stood up straighter "Oh!"
Shang-Chi watched as you went over to the drawer and pulled something out. Bringing it over to him, you had suddenly become a bit more shy as you handed it to him.
"I saw this and thought of you."
He took it gently from you as he smiled, surprised that you had anything for him. Opening it, he saw a stone beaded bracelet in various colors.
"It's jade, tigers eye and onyx." You said softly.
He smiled as he lifted it up, feeling the smooth stones in his fingers. He met your eyes again "I love it."
You smiled, warmth crawling over your face.
"When did you get this?" He asked curiously.
You laughed softly "A few days ago. I wanted to give it to you today, but I wasn't sure if...well."
"If I felt the same?" He finished and you chucked.
"Yeah."
Sliding the bracelet onto his wrist, he set the box down before taking the flowers from you. Setting them aside, he turned to look at you again and let out a soft breath as he shook his head.
"I hate that it took me so long to say anything."
You shook your head softly "It wasn't just you, I didn't say anything either."
He took a step closer to you and took your hands in his "Either way, we shouldn't waste anymore time, right?"
You smiled "Right."
"Ever since we became friends, I knew I loved you. You were my person. I just didn't realize how deep it all really was."
"You're my person to Shang-Chi."
Gripping your hand a bit tighter, he slowly pulled you closer to him. Your chests touched as his free hand rested on your waist. Your noses brushed gently as he stared into your eyes.
"I really don't think I can live without you, you know."
You smiled softly, he really did feel everything you did.
"Ditto."
He grinned before he pressed his forehead against your softly. You closed your eyes and took in a breath embracing how close he was. Your heart seemed to stutter in your chest as you felt his lips brush yours. You held your breath and kept your eyes shut as you felt his lips press fully against yours.
Leaning into the kiss, as you felt electricity seem to flow through you, your gripped his jacket with your hand. His hand wrapped around your back as he pulled you closer.
Various emotions and feelings rushed through you, as you held onto each other. And it all felt perfect, it all felt right.
xx End xx
I really hate ending fics, it never feels natural lol. I hoped you enjoyed though~

Hi can I request Shang chi (cuddling headcanons) Thanks
Shang-Chi Cuddles You
Tumblr media
Good luck getting Shang-Chi to let go of you once he gets his arms around you. He can be the little spoon and the big spoon, it doesn't matter to him when you're embraced. When he's the big spoon he likes to lean his chin on the top of your head and tangle his legs with yours from behind and even tickles you a little at your sides. His hand won't wonder unless you give him signs you want more then cuddles. If he is the small spoon he loves placing his chin on your chest and smile up at you, eyes closed in bliss as you scratch at his scalp and almost make him fall asleep from how relaxing being with you like this is.

The Golden Dagger Club
Tumblr media
Pairing: Shang-chi x symbiote!reader
Word Count: 2145
You were just starting to repair the damages of a recuperating career and then the Blip happened. You were dusted away for five years and appeared back into your shitty apartment – your old shitty apartment that was occupied by someone else – and were left with nothing. Your clothing and furniture were all thrown away and your renewed show was trashed because everyone still alive was trying to cope with the loss of loved ones.
To those that stayed, you were considered lucky. Is it lucky to have nothing to come back to? The banks refused to help and getting any loans needed minimum of five years of income. Obviously that’s impossible as you were dusted for all five of those years making the institution useless. No one was willing to hire either as you were often overqualified or lacked any recent experience in the workforce.
Unlike some of the others who also disappeared, you didn’t have a family to help you adapt to the new culture that flourished whilst you were gone. There was still a semblance of the old but you were on your own.
Waiting was the worst. The United Nations were scrambling to provide provisions, documents, and other essentials for those who came back. It was a real shit show and at times, made you wish you never came back.
You had to worry about scavenging enough food for Venom or else it’s your organs that’ll be on the menu and you want your organs to remain intact and uneaten. You also don’t want to watch Venom bite someone’s head off again. You had to work fast as Venom was most likely going to starve and the government wasn’t working fast enough.
You heard murmurs of an underground tournament that pays very well for winning contestants. You weren’t a stranger of questionably immoral activities. You and Venom needed this. It was a saving grace in the waiting game of darkness. The United Nations were behind on provisions and housings, and you couldn’t wait for the miracle of them hurrying along the process.
So you left. The world didn’t need to know you were back, undusted and alive. It had moved on without you and there was no point in sticking around. The world would believe you were the unlucky ones to be at the wrong place during the Snap.
The world would get to learn of the existence of Venom, see the both of you as more than a blurry black figure from security cameras. See the two of you reappear after your hiatus. Your reappearance will be on that podium, hundred of eyes on you, seeing you, and cheering for you.
You had arrived to your brand new start. A new beginning to the end of a shitty chapter. “Welcome to the Golden Daggers Club! We’re a multi-platform global operation. Every fight live streamed on the dark web. Thousands of viewers placing bets as we speak.” The ringmaster, Jon Jon, explained as he handed you the sign up sheet. You read carefully, not wanting to be screwed over in the end, and when you deemed everything acceptable you signed on. It was fast and easy. Pen on paper and suddenly a new door opened.
There must’ve been hundreds of people in the unfinished building. Small cells, containing smaller fights, lead up to the giant podium where the grander fights and higher betting stakes take place. Within the club, you had to earn your place. Starting in those small cells and work your way up to become a favorite.
Your first opponent was no one memorable. They were enhanced to some degree but nothing remotely close to be able to take the two of you down. It was almost too easy but Venom adored the attention they’d garnered. On the other side of the cell were many onlookers, wanting to see more of the alien creature. It was itching more for fights, more advanced opponents, and scoring chocolate money. The club loved Venom. The fame and attention caught the curiosity of the club’s founder.
Xu Xialing was cold, complex, and a fighter. Her coldness was strictly targeted to men but once she saw the person beneath Venom, she’d lighten up around the two of you. You became her friend. You’d learn bits and pieces of her past while you shared yours. She’d given you a chance to start anew even if she didn’t know it. You felt like you owed her for providing a way to provide for Venom in a way your old job couldn’t. You and Venom took it upon yourselves to take out the trash, people who were trying to shut her operation down. The club meant so much to people and you didn’t want anyone to shit on the empire she’d built.
It was a night like any other. Bets were placed and the money just kept coming. The bar was filled as always and Venom was itching for its turn. “Take it easy on the chocolates, it’s about to be your turn.” You were currently watching the fight between Abomination, who was broken out of prison by his opponent, and the current Sorcerer Supreme, Wong. Wong seemed overwhelmed at first but managed to get Abomination to punch themselves.
“I’ve worked up an appetite.” Venom grunted as they bit the whole chocolate bar in its entirety. You could feel it buzzing with excitement.
Wong had won his fight and you were walking towards the main stage. “Doing what, sitting?” You replied as Venom’s pitch black skin covered you fully. Your thin arms concealed by its large muscles and build. No one in the crowd would ever guess who was underneath its skin.
The name of your opponent was called Flux. You had seen his fights before, seen him climb up ranks. You nor Venom were worried though. You’d let Venom take full control as it was its moment not yours. Venom tore onto the stage, hyping up the crowd, and waited for the fight to begin. The lights, the cheers, and the overwhelming anticipation riddled your being. It was exhilarating and you couldn’t wait for Venom to have the time of its life.
Flux wasn’t overpowered by much. Having superhuman strength, stamina and durability assists in keeping up with you and Venom. You’d been lucky no one has caught on to your weaknesses. As Venom controlled your body, you thought about how different your life had become and how thankful you were for being the right match for Venom. Feeling the immense happiness originating from it makes you happy. You knew Venom felt miserable hidden within your body, not allowed to stretch till night fell. Here in the club, it didn’t matter. Almost every fighter had some enhancement that made them different from everyone else. Had skills most didn’t possess.
Once the fight was over, the club’s staff members dragged Flux away towards the locker room. Venom, after celebrating its win with the crowd, followed afterwards. A giant teeth-filled grin dwelled on its face until its skin disappeared into your body.
You opened your designated locker and pulled out a box of chocolates and a 12 pack of diet soda. Opening them one by one you feed Venom by placing them into its mouth and congratulating them on its win while you consume the diet soda. In moments like these Venom resembled a puppy. Craved for your attention and wanted to feel loved.
You’d notice Jon Jon speaking to someone you’d only seen on your phone. The Bus Boy video that’s been dominating the internet. Venom had dismissed the guy as he wasn’t anything special except for maybe his delicious brain but you didn’t want to find out.
“[Reader], Venom,” Jon Jon yelled, “the boss wants to talk!” The guy next to him watched curiously at the Venom head appearing out of your side.
“If anyone steals even one chocolate or soda, I’ll bite your head off and feast on your organs.” Venom made sure to show off its teeth to the remaining contenders before going to Xialing’s office. You sat down on a chair waiting for her to arrive. Jon Jon left the dubbed Bus Boy in her office as well. He stayed standing, not knowing what to do. He was nervous, that was evident, and a bit awkward.
“Do you know who we are supposed to meet?” He didn’t know how to talk to you or Venom. If he were being honest, Venom kinda scared him. The threats given did not help at all. “I need to find my sister. Do you know her, Xu Xialing?” You noticed he kept a white tissue around his nostrils. The metallic smell of blood allowed you to know the reason why.
You stayed quiet not knowing the reason as to why he was asking. Knowing he was in her workplace, she’ll show herself eventually.
She walked in, taking her place behind her laptop.
“You run this place?” He talked in Mandarin.
“I own it.” She replied back.
Another woman was let in by Jon Jon, counting the stack of cash as she walked into the room. She was adorable when she was caught red handed. Having bet against the man, her friend apparently. “Did you bet against me?”
“No.” She lied. “I bet on that Venom dude earlier.” In an attempt to change the subject, she turned the attention on you and Xialing, “Hi Xialing and stranger. I’m Katy. You’re, like, such a badass. Everything that you do is, like, so cool. That was really cool.” She walked towards one of the seats next to her friend, which you still did not have a name for.
“This is [Reader].” Xialing replied, “The Venom dude from earlier.”
Katy gasped excitedly, “No way! I thought Venom had more muscles. Love the costume by the way. What fabric do you use?” She shook your hand frantically and laughed, “Your fight was so amazing. You made me a lot of money.”
You had never integrated with someone who had so much shameless confidence. She had seen you and Venom fight and she was treating you like a hero. Most run away at the sight of the two of you. It was a nice change of scenery. “Alien, I guess? Venom come out and say ‘hello’ to a fellow fan.”
“A fan…” He muttered as he moved his head towards her, “So unafraid, so courageous. You shall not be eaten.”
She chuckled nervously, “Thank you.”
“I like your pants.” Xialing turned the conversation towards herself.
Katy blushed, “Thank you. Thanks. Yeah.” She was obviously flattered by the compliment as she smoothed out her yellow pants.
“What do you want?” The coldness of Xialing's voice appeared suddenly. A certain sharpness you had never heard, finally making its existence known.
“The Ten Rings ambushed us in San Francisco.” San Francisco was the place where you once lived. The tomb of the life you once had.
“I saw the video.” Everyone had seen the video. It became a viral phenomenon which was rare as it raced against hero and alien sightings, and meet and greets with international heroes.
“They took my pendant. They’re gonna come for yours next.” You had learned about the pendant Xialing never took off as it was a gift from her mother. To learn he shared the same or similar pendant must mean only one thing. “I don’t know what he wants with them, but we both know it can’t be good.”
“You know what he said to me when he left?” You heard this story only once. It was a painful memory of abandonment and the loss of a sibling. Not in death, but in spirit. Lost of hope while living in the fragments of an once happy family. “‘I’ll be back in three days.’ And after three days, I went to our mom’s shrine and waited. Three days turned into a week, a week turned to a month, and a month turned to six years. That’s how long it took me to realize I didn’t need him any more. I built this place on my own. I didn’t need you then, and I don’t need you now.”
“I volunteer to eat him.” Venom liked Xialing. She snuck chocolates to it and was the first person, who wasn’t [Reader], to not be afraid of it. She gave you and it a home. “I’ll make it painful.” He licked his lips to scare Xialing’s brother even more.
Xialing smiled at Venom. It was the thought that counted and Venom meant well. He inched away from you and asked, “Then why would you send me the postcard?”
“What postcard?”
He got up from his seat and reached into his pockets. He slowly walked towards her before handing it to her.
“I didn’t send you this.” After she spoke those words, everything went to shit.

All the ways we sabotaged it. [Shang-Chi x reader]
Inspired by skinny dipping by Sabrina Carpenter. Ever since I've heard the song, I couldn't get this fic out of my mind. So why not write it?
Warning: Angst, angst, so much of it. Shang-Chi hiding things. Lots of misunderstandings, break-up. Happens six months after the events of Shang-Chi.
Summary: Six months after the break-up, you and Shang-Chi cross paths in a café downtown.
Tumblr media
It had been six months. Six long, hard, agonizing months since you and your ex, Shaun, broke up. It has been a long process but with the help of your family and friends, it seems less hard than if you had to do all of it alone. You just started to move on. Yes you still loved him; but in retrospect, you and him wouldn't have lasted. There were too many things happening at the time and honestly, neither of you were mature enough for a relationship.
It had been a Wednesday when you had decided to go out. Just spend your day with your own company. It had been a while since you'd been to this café specifically because of some guy. You really missed their lattes. Once you placed your order, you had searched for a seat and then sat down. Appreciating the calmness of the place. You would start writing on your computer, letting your fingers dance on the keyboard. The place has given you writing ideas that you were more than excited to write about.
ϟ
Everything was going perfectly until a familiar voice had stopped you in your frenzy. A voice you hadn't heard for so long. At first you thought you had misheard. Maybe it was someone that sounded like him. It couldn't be him right?
So the logical thing to do was to go back to what you were doing in the first place. It was just your imagination playing tricks on you. He couldn't be here. You'd heard from a mutual close friend that he had to fly back home. Where was "home"? You hadn't known, he'd never told you about his home country. "Family business. I swear!" She had told you.
However, when you looked up, you're surprised to see the same face attached to that voice. The same smile, and the same hair. All in all, the guy that had taken your heart six months ago. He was there right in front of you. And it seemed like he wanted to talk to you.
"Hi." He almost whispered when he had arrived in front of your table. In an instant you couldn't think of a proper salutation, so you opted for a simple "Hi. How are you?" And soon, a conversation bloomed. You two would catch up to whatever had happened since the separation. It was nice, talking like no time had passed; no separation happened. To be honest, you kinda missed those sort of days. When words would just fill out of your mouth, and you being unable to stop them.
And very soon, minutes would change into hours. Niether of you would notice. In those hours, Shaun had told you that he was actually grateful you had broken up with him. At first it stung a little; but then he told you the reason why. It had opened his eyes; he was reckless, had lied to you so many times, and hid so many things. His words. In retrospect he couldn't understand how you had put up with it. The gall of the man. He even had lied to you about his name!
Your response to it should've been to be angry with him. To yell at him about lying about his name. Understandably you were upset, you two shared a life together, though short lived, you felt he should have felt safe enough to tell you about it. After everything that had gone down after your departure, was explained to you, you understood. You would've probably done the same in his shoes. I mean, did it sound crazy? Yes. Did you wonder how that concerned you in any way? Heck yes. Were you still worried about the guy? Yes.
So in the end, you still listened to his crazy-not-so-crazy story. In the end, you still had a little bit of concern and empathy for this guy.
You decided to go home when the sky changed hues. You had spent a good day in his company in this café. But now it was time to go home. As soon as you two parted ways, you questioned yourself on why you two didn't work.
Yes, he had lied and hid things. But at the end of the day, your delusional mind thought that it could've been salvaged somehow. It rattled on past opportunities of reconciliation and the multiple ways you would have been more than happy to be supportive of him and journey. However, you ultimately came to the conclusion that if it hadn't worked, it probably wasn't meant to be.
Really, that day had just been a reafirmation that you two had had a good run, but like all good things it was time to let go and move on. you were more than ready.

i’ll be getting over you my whole life (teenage!shang-chi x fem!reader)
A little thing, because I was inspired and I have a newfound love after watching Shang-chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings again. Also, I realize there aren’t enough fics for this guy. Maybe a part two soon xo
+++
There is a weight that you have to learn to live with when you eat and sleep, and if you’re a boy, train, at the Ten Rings compound.
It’s something you discover your mind only has the capacity to form around so you bend and don’t break.
He pulled you aside just a moment before, but it wasn’t to say anything. In the shadowed, open-air hall that lines the outside courtyard, he stands opposite of you.
This is a new, soft thing, and those are hard to find as deep and high in the mountains as you both are in this compound, so he doesn’t touch you. Not at first. His face gives away nothing, but you’ve been learning how to read his eyes. They hold the depths of all that he is holding but doesn’t speak about.
If your mother was here, she might roll her eyes at the way you think about him. The way you act as if you are beyond the age of 14 (though in some ways, you are). She would tell you, from the wisdom of experience, that you should be careful. That the pain that came from first love as a teenager wasn’t always worth it. That there were more important things to focus on.
Shang-qi’s touch is tender as he leans forward and slowly takes your hand in his. It’s somewhat unfamiliar and awkward because you two haven’t had a lot of time, if any, to spend together. But there have been some sweet pockets, little moments, where his smile changes the whole course of your monotonous day. Stolen glances before training as you linger as long as you can in the courtyard before you are sent away. Whispers in the darkened hallway between his room and yours. Sitting across from each other at breakfast, before anyone else has arrived, early enough to watch the sunrise without interruption.
You both don’t understand much about dating, or love, but you understand that whatever this is between you needs to stay under the radar and private. You think you’ve done a good enough job to not alert anybody, especially Shang-qi’s father. He’s gone a lot anyway.
There’s a weight Shang-qi carrying tonight that he wasn’t carrying before. It’s in the set of his shoulders and his posture.
You hold his hand for a moment longer before releasing it.
Instead, your hands come to cup his face.
“Do what you must tonight.”
You let the silence surrounding you both echo your words as Shang-qi exhales. A small moment of vulnerability comes as he presses his forehead to yours. You close your eyes and soak in the feeling.
When you open your eyes and find Shang-qi gazing at you, you know. He won’t be making any promises to you tonight.
Your eyes begin to water but you swallow the tears into your throat and inhale. You take a second quick breath once you realize this is the closest his lips have come to yours.
You try to imprint this feeling into your mind so that when you remember this moment again, you can make it last as long as you can.
He cannot bear to stay goodbye, so he will not say anything at all.
“Go,” You take a step back, “Your last words should be to her.”
Xialing, his sister, waits on the steps a few feet in front of you. He gives you one last lingering look and then turns to sit with her. They talk only for a moment before the sound of helicopter blades echoes against the sides of the mountain and almost overwhelms the silence the compound is set in.
You can tell even from the distance that he says no words when Wenwu greets him. He only nods as he grabs his bag and walks away.
It will be fifteen years before you see him again.

A New Fear
Masterlist
A/N: So this kind of got away from me and the ending wasn’t what I wanted to do but then I felt like being a bitch LMAO.

Summary: Steve has finally come to you for help, and now you’re left facing your biggest fear.
Previous Chapter:  A Showdown
WC: ~ 3.3k
Tumblr media
Was this how death was supposed to be? A life-changing interaction within a second that blinds you until all you see is black, and every sound you hear fades away into nothing. The desperate cry of your husband, the shouts of rage and anguish from your friends, a shocked gasp, all preceded by the sound of something ripping through the air before you were gone.
Was this really death? Was it just nothing?
Not yet.
Your body collapsed to the ground, leaving this other version of you to release a cry with a smile on her face. It was part delighted and overjoyed for having bested you, and part relieved to no longer be exerting so much power and force. However, her relief could only last so long. She straightened up quickly when she felt vibrations charging in her direction.
Charging towards her was Shangqi. Tears stained his cheeks as your body hit the ground in a lifeless heap. The rings on his arms were glowing brightly, every step he took thundering on the ground as he charged this variant of you with one intent: to put her into the ground the way she had done to you.
Sliding in front of Shangqi, Natasha dropped to the ground quickly with the intent to sweep his legs out from under him and knock him over. He jumped over her leg sweep and continued running, preparing to use his rings to launch him into the air to deliver a devastating blow reminiscent of when he faced the Dweller-in-Darkness.  However, Natasha threw her escrima stick at the back of his knee and made him stumble, giving her just enough time to run towards him and tackle him.
“What are you doing?” He shouted as he fought with Natasha until he was able to kick her off. “She has to be stopped! She killed Y/N!”
“I’m doing what Y/N would’ve wanted!” Natasha replied, getting back up and stepping in front of Shangqi, weapons raised high as she lowered herself into a fighting stance.
Shangqi was stunned. How could she? Maybe she wasn’t the Natasha from this universe, but how could she do this to you? How could she step in his way when all he wanted to do was avenge your death?
“Y/N wanted her gone,” Shangqi whispered. “You won’t stop me.”
“Y/N wants you alive, above anything,” Natasha replied. “And I’m going to follow through.”
“Then good luck stopping me,” Shangqi replied.
There was no way Shangqi could possibly care any less about his life at the moment. It didn’t matter. To him, you were gone. You being gone? What was left? You were supposed to start a family. You were supposed to go on vacations together, do cheesy, touristy things, grow your family, live out a long, happy life together where you got to rest and he took up the responsibility of defending the world, the responsibility you and others had for years.
Shangqi and Natasha were locked in a fight against each other, all the while, Steve was rushing forward with an attack. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing ,double of you fighting each other to the death, all because he was being selfish because he wanted another chance.
Steve sprinted right past the fight happening amongst teammates and leapt into the air. Your variant blasted Steve out of the sky, his shield absorbing some of the damage, but not stopping him from being knocked back. It served as a fine distraction for the rest of them.
A portal opened behind her, and Bucky’s arm reached through Doctor Strange’s portal to grab her shoulder. Expecting this, she whirled around and grabbed Bucky’s metal arm. She smirked while Bucky looked shocked for a second. As he tried to yank his arm away from her, she laughed.
“How much can that arm withstand, James?” She raised an eyebrow while Bucky frowned.
Bucky raised his right arm to punch her, and she immediately grabbed his forearm and sent a powerful enough vibration to break it, causing him to shout in pain. Bucky fought through the pain and raised his knee to her stomach, but, once again, she blasted his knee, shattering the bone and sending him to the ground. She leaned down and detached Bucky’s arm, looking up quickly when she felt something from the sky.
Sam was flying towards her just as Steve was running at her again. Steve threw the shield at her, which she deflected. Sam swooped in and caught the shield as planned before flying towards her in what would’ve been a devastating nosedive. However, using Bucky’s arm, she threw it comically, like it was a spear, using her powers to send it through Sam’s wings and send him spiraling towards the ground.
Luckily for Sam, Stephen quickly shut his portal after moving Bucky back out of it, and sent his cloak to catch Sam in the air.
Your variant looked around her. She was losing strength quickly, and she still had so much to do. She could end it all now, kill this universe’s Avengers, but it would ruin her plans, put too much attention on her when all she wanted was to have a loving, happy family. Taking a few steps back, she aimed her palms down to the ground and pushed herself into the air.
“Where is she going?” Shangqi shouted, shoving Natasha away from him. “God, damn it!”
“The lake house is that way,” Steve breathed. “She’s going after Tony—“
“She’s going after Morgan,” Natasha corrected him. “We gotta go. Clint can catch up.”
Steve looked around and spotted Sam on the ground, “Sam—“
“I got Bucky,” Sam nodded, glancing over to the man in agony. “We’ll set his bones before they heal incorrectly.”
“I’ll get Dr. Banner,” Stephen said, glancing around. “We need the big guns now.”
“We can’t risk the Hulk destroying the house. Morgan’s just a kid, she shouldn’t see that,” Steve reasoned with the group. “But we need to catch up with her now before she tricks them. Who knows what she’ll do.”
“The good news is she’s losing strength. She can’t take on all of us, not forever,” Natasha explained.
“Are you done?” Shangqi snapped. “Enough talking. We need to go now. I won’t let them hurt my family.”
His family. That’s right. Steve stared at Shangqi for a few seconds and thought about it. They really were his family now. Morgan, his little sister (even though she called him uncle) his father- and mother-in-law, they were all his family now, and Shangqi just lost his wife. If your variant took the rest of your family from him, well, Steve wondered if this Shangqi would seem more like his evil counterpart than anyone could have imagined.
They took off towards the lake house just as Clint was running over to your body. He sighed watching them all disappear, hands resting on his hips as he stared straight ahead. Suddenly appearing next to him, Scott Lang grew to his normal size and took off his helmet as he stared down at you.
“Think it worked?” Scott asked as he took a few deep breaths.
Clint shrugged and reached into his quiver to pull out an arrow with a vial and syringe tip, the syringe filled with a yellow liquid, “Only one way to find out.”
~*~
While they were just forming a plan, your variant was already at her next destination. Landing with a thud, your variant straightened up and dusted herself off. She forced a smile on her face as she walked towards the front door of Tony’s home. It was quiet,  which made sense given how early in the morning it was. Everyone was likely asleep. She shook the smile off of her face quickly, changing her mind on how she wanted to approach this type of situation.
Standing in front of the door, she knocked on it quickly, debating on if it was too bold to just walk in there. After a moment, however, Tony opened the door, staring at her with his eyebrows raised in curiosity, “What’s up, buttercup? It’s late — or early, if you’re looking to get a worm.”
“No worms, just wanted to see my little sister!”
“She’s sleeping,” Tony replied.
“Right.”
“Are you okay? How was the gala?”
She blinked a few times, “Fine, fine! Yeah. I just, I had a fight with Shang. You know how it is when you’re married.”
Tony didn’t let it show, but the second you called him Shang instead of Shangqi, his fears had been confirmed. He sighed and nodded, crossing his arms over his chest as he studied her. “Do you want to come in?”
“Yes, absolutely. I think I need some time to be with my family,” she smiled softly and took a step closer, but Tony didn’t budge. She frowned, “Why aren’t you letting me in?”
“Wanted to see if you really thought I believed you. We both know you’re not my kid.”
A scowled crossed her face as her eyes darkened, “Well, neither is the bitch I left dead in the field,” she replied, smirking as she sensed Tony’s heart skip a beat. “Guess we know who’s stronger, don’t we?”
“You’re not coming in, bitch,” Tony snapped.
“Then I’ll bring the house down but leave little Morgan’s room perfectly in tact. After all, she’s just a kid, and she’ll need someone to look after her, someone like me.”
Tony nodded in agreement as he leaned against the doorframe, tapping it a few times before turning around and walking in. As he slammed the door shut, he shouted, “That’s my kid, not yours. Get lost, you multiverse loser.”
Fuming, she stepped back a few feet. Tony was being difficult. It left her with no choice. She took a few deep breaths, mustering up more strength as she prepared to strategically break this house into smithereens with everyone inside it, all the while trying to make sure Morgan’s room was undamaged.
However, once she saw the front door open again, she figured Tony was coming to fight her. She held her hand out and sent out a blast of vibrations that shattered the doorframe, sending a shower of wood splinters that would surely be a bitch to clean up. She expected Tony to have flown backwards and heard a crash, or at the very least, seen him standing there in shock with a hole in his stomach.
Instead, Tony stepped through the gaping hole  of a front door in a suit of all silver. She was stunned as Tony seemed completely unharmed. His suit didn’t even have a single scratch on it. She stared at him in shock while Tony tilted his head to the side.
He chuckled, “So, you’re stronger, but I guess you’re not smarter, huh, kiddo? Vibranium-laced suits. We’ve made friends with a few people down in Wakanda, in case you were wondering.”
Suddenly, there was a feral shrieking noise in the distance. Coming out of the sky was you. You landed with a mighty thud on the ground, similar to how your counterpart had moments ago. You stood up tall, eyes glowing the brightest gold they ever had in the past. You were huffing and puffing, the ground trembling beneath you as you cracked your neck and stared at your counterpart.
“I killed you,” she hissed. “Your heart stopped beating. I felt it.”
“Oh, okay.” You nodded quickly. “My turn then, I guess.”
The other Avengers arrived just as you went to attack, but they didn’t engage in the fight when they saw you. All of them were far too stunned. Tony went back into the house to get Pepper and Morgan and clear the area. Shangqi stood there as stunned as the rest of them.  They watched you leap forward, hands outstretched in front of you and a look of rage on your face they hadn’t seen before.
“This is my life,” you snapped. “Not yours!”
Her hand came up to block your attack, but it didn’t work. You were so strong, your vibrations overpowered hers, shattering her hand on impact. She screamed in agony and raised her other hand, her powers shoving you back and started to splinter your bones from within. You screamed and stomped your foot on the ground. The ground ripped in half beneath her and sent her stumbling back.
While she was stumbling, you stared at her and raised your fist like you were going to stop your heart. She was expecting this move from you, and she jumped into the air to try to make some distance and keep you from doing this. Figuring that she was going to try and run, you jumped in the air with her and grabbed her.
Your fist ripped through her chest.  You grabbed her heart in your hand and squeezed it yourself until you felt it popping and squishing between your fingers. You watched the life drain out of your own eyes, the soft golden glow from her fading away into nothing as you let her go and let her body fall on the ground.
You landed in front of her, the force of your landing splintering the legs on an already-dead body. You stood up slowly and looked down at your hands. One arm was coated in blood thanks to her, but you could see both your forearms were bruised and shaking like when you were a child and tried to hold back all your power. You glanced at your bicep on your right and saw the bruises were traveling, meaning the power in you was a struggle to contain.
But you were so angry.
You knew this was going to happen. You knew, and yet, you still felt incredibly unprepared. You flirted with death and killed yourself to save your family, but you couldn’t stop shaking and causing havoc around you. This should’t have been happening to you, because you shouldn’t even be alive right now.
As the panic set in, the realization of your ferocity, that you were alive, your control slipped away. Cracks started racing to the house, splitting the porch in half before more cracks began to form along the walls. The ground beneath you wouldn’t stop rumbling as the earth started to break  beneath you and spread to towards the lake.
“It’s happening again,” Steve shouted. “Tony!”
“On it!” Tony was about to take a step towards you, but Morgan grabbed his hand.
He looked down as Morgan looked up at him, “Please don’t die again, daddy.”
Tony’s shoulders sunk. It was a very real possibility that he could die. He hadn’t actually tested the suit against you. He wasn’t sure how much it could withstand, which meant that he had no idea how long he had. He exhaled slowly and squeezed her hand, “I won’t, Morguna. I’ll be right back. I just have to talk to your sister —“
“She’s going to kill you!” Morgan screeched in fear.
Tony didn’t have the chance to move. You heard Morgan’s cries and whipped around. When you made eye contact with her, you were frozen in pain. Morgan was terrified of you, and it made you feel so much worse. The panic, the feelings of dread you were feeling caused you to lose another ounce of control, and it split the house down the middle.
Natasha exhaled and grabbed Scott and Clint by their elbows, “What the hell did you two idiots do?”
“It’s an old contingency plan,” Clint reasoned, his adam’s apple bobbing as everyone slowly started to turn to face him. “Vibranium tipped arrow. It was…well, supposed to kill her or maim her when she got too crazy. It’s a last-resort arrow.”
“You killed her?” Shangqi snapped.
“Not quite,” Scott spoke up. “We used it as a delivery system for me. It was dark, you can barely see the arrow when it’s flying. I was on the tip, and we dosed her up with enough of a little simple syrup — that’s a joke, it wasn’t simple syrup —“
“To stop her heart,” Clint said. “And then we brought her back with some adrenaline and a few more things.”
“What things?” Steve glared as he marched towards him. “What the hell is she on? Why do you even have this?”
“Don’t look at me! Tony made it after Ultron! She almost killed herself in that fight she was so exhausted. He wanted her to have a little boost for the event she’s, uh, fading too much in battle.”
“So you put a relatively unstable woman on steroids,” Stephen deadpanned. “Fantastic.”
Shangqi looked around. These people were actually scared and unsure of what to do, but it was you. It was just you, deep down inside there, and he’d seen this before. You were scared, you were panicking. Okay, you were causing a bit more chaos, but…
“Okay. The lake is now moving,” Clint cleared his throat. “I’ll talk to her—“
“No,” Shangqi dropped the rings from his forearms. “I’ve got it.”
He sidestepped Natasha quickly. Before she could stop him, he was walking towards you and feeling the ground shake anymore. He cringed, a twinge of pain racing up his foot as he approached you. You could hear a new, closer heartbeat, and you turned to Shangqi.
“Get away,” you cautioned him. “Something’s , something’s not right and I —“
“I know. Don’t worry.”
“I’m dead. Right?” You breathed. “This is just a dream?”
“Sorry, you’re stuck with me for the long-haul, babe,” Shangqi smiled softly at you, hands stuffed into his pockets. “So what’s say we head back to the compound, shower, talk.”
“Shangqi..” you trailed off and looks to your corpse. “I’m a monster.”
“What? That? No! Pffft, I would’ve done it myself,” he joked, but you weren’t laughing. “Babe come on —“
“My sister is terrified of me, I destroyed her home, and even I’m shocked with what I just did to her.”
“You’re still my wife,” Shangqi said softly. “You’re still my wife, who I will stay with until the very end. If you want to stay here and destroy everything, do it,” he cringed when he was certain he felt his ankle snap from the vibrations on the ground constantly drumming on his bones. He put his weight on his other leg, and you frowned when you realized what you were doing to him, what he was willing to do for you. “So, if this is the end…I’m here.”
“You’re crazy.”
“Crazy for you,” He grinned. “You’re okay. Everyone’s okay. Scared? Probably. You’re scary, but you’re hot when you’re scary, so that’s something, right?”
You laughed in disbelief and shook your head, “You are so stupid.”
“Yeah, but I’m your stupid husband,” he smiled at you and outstretched his hand, ignoring how he could see his fingertips started to bruise and turn red and purple. “Come on, babe. It’s just me. You can relax now. It’s over. You can rest now.”
You focused on your breathing first. You slowed it down until you were confident you had it under control without focusing so much on it. You shut your eyes and worked on stopping all of the vibrations and the shaking.
You weren’t sure when it happened, but, eventually, it stopped. You felt a hand take yours, and you opened your eyes to see Shangqi staring at you, slowly leaning in to press his forehead against yours. His eyes shut as he too finally relaxed. He exhaled, his breath catching in his chest as tears fell from his closed eyes and his other hand came up to cup your face, “I thought you were gone.”
You nodded and leaned into his hand, “Me too.” You exhaled, “Shangqi,”
“Yeah?”
“I can’t do this anymore.”

Kinktober day 14
Day 14: Love bites/marking (Shang-Chi)
AN: Full disclosure I've been writing his name as Shang shi instead of Shang-chi. I went through and fixed it but IDK how his name works exactly. As in I don't know if he'd be referred to as simply Shang or if it'd be the full Shang-chi. If anyone knows please tell me.
Tumblr media
“I’m not leaving until later. Like, five.” Shang whined when you rolled on top of him.
An alarm had been set for this very reason. So you’d be able to get on top of him before he got up and started moving around. When he started moving around then he would start packing. Before you know it he would be moving out of your place and headed off. You’d be left with nothing but a kiss on the lips.
“I know,”  you say between nips to his neck. “That’s why I wanna get this out of the way before I forget.”
Shang doesn’t ask anymore questions. The man sleeps like the dead so he doesn’t really think much when half awake. Only knowing that you were there and he really liked what you were doing to his neck and shoulders.
Bouncing between sucking and kissing you gently rubbed over his pecks. His stomach. Over his arms with the intent of keeping that soft smile on his face. Humming peacefully when your lips drag up his jaw and to his ear. A little nibble on his lobe before traveling back down to the little spot you’ve been working on.
“Keep that up,” Shang mumbled, a hand resting in your back. “Feels good.”
Now, how could anyone say no to that?
It would take some time before Shang noticed your little project. He’s going to run a hand over his throat and shoulders. Pressing experimentally against them. He’s not going to say anything though. Just like how he won’t admit that he actually likes them.

When Katy and Shang-Chi call you for a night out, you don’t say no. I mean, you can try, but they’ll come get you and make you come out. Trust me, I’m usually the victim of said nights out.
I had just gotten home from work when my phone rang and the selfie of me and Katy from when we were in high school informed me that she was calling.
“I’m not coming out, Katy,” I said when I answered.
“Come on!” she begged. “Shaun and I just finished getting lectured about how sad our lives are so, you know, that means it’s karaoke time!”
“Sounds like a you problem, not a me problem.”
“(Y/N), please! I’m begging you, come out with us! Pretty please!”
“No Katy. I just got home from work, I don’t want to go out again.”
“You just got home? Perfect timing!”
A knock cam at my apartment door. I rolled my eyes and groaned as I went to open the door. To no one’s surprise, Katy and Shang-Chi were stood there, similar pleading smiles on their faces. I tried to show my annoyance, but it was hard to do that when Shang-Chi was looking at me with that begging look.
The three of us had been friends for years, and in that time I had developed feelings for Shang-Chi. We had grown so close that he confided in me for things he hadn’t even told Katy, like his real name. We had a connection, but I was never sure how deep the connection went for him and I wasn’t about to ruin this friendship by confessing my feelings.
Unfortunately, these feelings made it hard to say no whenever Katy and Shang-Chi asked me to come out. I had never told Katy my feelings for Shang-Chi, but with how often she brought him around whenever she wanted to do something, I was sure she had figured it out on her own.
Finally, I rolled my eyes and motioned for them to come in. “Give me 20 minutes to get ready.”
~~~~~~
I wasn’t sure how long we had been out. Within an hour I was already tipsy, and by two hours I was completely drunk. Katy knew how to hold her alcohol the best out of the three of us, so she was many more drinks deep but not nearly the level of drunk that she should be. Shang-Chi, on the other hand, was also completely wasted.
Katy had sat down with me while Shang-Chi belted out the final verse of Hotel California, the go to for the two of them to sing at least once every karaoke night.
“He needs some water,” Katy said. “He’s gonna feel like shit in the morning.”
“So am I,” I said. “And I have to work tomorrow! Why did I let you convince me to come out?”
Katy looked at me with a smug grin on her face. “Because you love us.”
I tried to playfully roll my eyes at her, but I wasn’t quite sure if it worked due to my drunkenness. I finished the last of my drink and stood from the table. Everything spun for a second, which told me that I also needed to start drinking water to make sure my hangover wasn’t too severe the next day.
“Gotta pee,” I told Katy. “Be back soon.”
I stumbled to the washroom and managed to make it through without any mishaps. After washing my hands, I turned the water to the cold setting and splashed my face a few times. It definitely didn’t sober me up all too much, but the shock of the cold water against my face made things less spiny.
I stepped out of the bathroom and almost ran into Shang-Chi.
“Hey,” I said, “what - ?”
My question was cut off by the feeling of his lips on mine. My heart raced as he pushed me back against the wall, his hands gently cupping my face. I could taste the alcohol against his tongue as it slipped into my mouth and my mind screamed at me to stop; that he was only doing this because he was drunk and we’d both regret it in the morning. But my heart didn’t want me to pull away just yet.
Shang-Chi was the one to pull away first.
“Sorry,” he said as he rested his forehead against mine, but he didn’t look even remotely sorry.
“Don’t be,” I responded. “Want to go back to my place?”
He smiled and nodded eagerly. I giggled and took his arm, leading him back out to the club. Katy was still sat at the same table, watching someone else who had finally gotten a turn to sing in their absences.
“Hey, listen, um,” I started, trying to rack my drunken brain into some excuse. “You’re right, Shang - I mean Shaun and I are totally wasted. I think that I should...I should...um - ”
“Guys, this is a small bar, I saw you making out by the bathrooms,” she told us. “If you’re going home together, just say that.”
Normally I’d feel incredibly embarrassed by that remark, but I was too drunk and too horny to really care. Shang-Chi and I said our goodbyes to Katy and made our way towards my apartment. It was only a short walk away from their usual karaoke bar, but the lack of stable walking made the trek there a lot longer. We would stumble and giggle, and every now and then Shang-Chi would stop me so he could kiss me again.
In all the years I had been crushing on him, I could never imagine how good of a kisser he would be.
As we got back to my apartment, I fumbled with my keys at the door. Shang-Chi’s hands were against my waist and his lips were on my neck, making it even harder to concentrate on putting the key in the lock effectively. Finally, I managed to get the door unlocked and swing it open. I turned to grab Shang-Chi and pull him into my apartment. When the door closed behind him, I pushed him against it and started kissing him again.
I pressed my body against his and could feel the bulge growing against my belly. When I reached between us to teasingly caress him, a moan slipped from Shang-Chi’s lips.
“Fuck, mommy.”
I pulled away from the kiss to look at him in shock. His face started to turn red with embarrassment.
“What did you call me?” I asked.
“Uh...I uh...nothing. It was nothing,” he stuttered. “I...just forget that happened.”
“No, I’m serious. Did you call me what I think you just called me?”
Reluctantly, Shang-Chi nodded. A small smirk formed on my face as I backed away from him.
“Go to my room,” I told him. “Strip down to just your underwear and lay on my bed. Wait for me to come in. Don’t even think about touching yourself. If you do, you will be punished for it.”
His eyes widened as my sudden dominance. I reached up to take hold of his face. “You hear me?”
He nodded.
“Use your words.”
“Yes mommy.”
“Good.” I let go of him and nodded towards my room. “Go.”
He quickly scurried past me towards my bedroom. I could see his face was a mixture of confusion and excitement, and I had to admit I felt the same way. I had never been dominant like that before. It felt strange but it also felt...good. And it definitely felt incredibly sexy to me.
I waited a few minutes before going to my room. I was pleased to find Shang-Chi had followed my instructions; he was laid out on my bed in nothing but his underwear. I smirked at him as he went to sit up and pushed him so he was laying down again. I slowly started climbing up the bed, hoping I looked as seductive as I felt.
I pressed my lips against his for a quick kiss before kissing down his jaw to his neck. I took a second to nip at the skin there, hoping it would leave a mark, before continuing my journey of kissing down his body. I could feel him writhing under me already with every kiss I pressed against his exposed skin. When I got to the waistband of his boxers, he was practically panting in anticipation.
I kissed the still clothed bulge, making him whimper.
“Please,” he said, his voice a low whisper.
“What was that, pet?”  I asked.
“Please, I need to feel you touch me,” he begged.
“Please what?”
“Please mommy.”
Fuck, I won’t get tired of hearing that.
I pulled down his boxers just enough for his member to spring free. I was a bit shocked at how big he was. I took his tip in my mouth and swirled my tongue around it. His back arched in pleasure as a string of moans and whimpers escaped his lips. The salty taste of his pre-cum touched my tongue, which only drove me to want to tease him more.
The desire between my legs was growing to be unbearable. As much as I wanted to tease and watch Shang-Chi melt with pleasure, I wanted to feel him inside of me more than anything.
I pulled away, which caused him to whine. I had never seen Shang-Chi like this before. If this were a different situation, I may have even laughed a little. But I was too turned on to laugh - I did make a mental note to bring it up later on.
I slowly stripped myself of my clothes while Shang-Chi watched. I got down to just my bra and underwear before climbing onto the bed again and straddling his lap. His member brushed against my still clothed core. I was about to pull my underwear to the side when his hands reached out to stop me.
My heart skipped a beat for a second, worried that I had gone too far without noticing.
“I don’t have a condom,” he said.
I let out a sigh of relief masked as a chuckle. “It’s fine. I’m on birth control, or you can pull out if you want.”
“Once I’m in, I don’t think I’ll ever want to come out.”
His words pushed me to finally do what I had been dreaming of for so long. I lined him up with my entrance and slowly sank down on his length. I pressed my lips against his as I took in every inch of him. We both moaned together in pure ecstasy. His hands moved to my hips, digging his fingers into my skin.
“Please move,” he begged.
I was tempted to make him beg more, but now that he was inside of me I wasn’t sure how long I’d be able to last. So I obliged and slowly began to rock my hips. I could feel him so deep inside of me that just these slow movements were enough to drive me wild.
I started to pick up my speed, first just rocking my hips at a quicker pace before starting to bounce on him. Our moans started to pick up and filled not only the room, but the entire apartment. I hoped none of my neighbors were home, or that they slept soundly enough that they wouldn’t hear us.
“Fuck mommy,” he groaned. “I don’t know how long I can last.”
“Sit up,” I told him.
He followed my orders and sat himself up. From this angle, my clit was rubbing against his pelvic area while his dick hit my cervix from a new angle. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and pulled him in for a kiss as I felt myself hitting my climax. I dug my nails into his back, undoubtably leaving behind red marks for him to see in the morning.
“You can cum,” I said through ragged breath. “Cum in me, baby.”
With my permission, I felt his dick twitch inside of me before he was filling me with his warmth. He lowered his head to my shoulder, wrapping his arms around my back and pressing me to him as his muffled moans vibrated from my shoulder and through my body.
We sat there for a long time, riding out our highs while still pressed against one another. I could finally feel the effects of the alcohol starting to wear off, but not enough for me to start regretting what had happened yet. I knew that would come in the morning when both of us were sober and realized what we had done.
I felt Shang-Chi beginning to move as he rolled us over so I was laying on my back on the bed. He slowly pulled himself out of me and stood up from the bed. He retrieved towels for us to clean ourselves up with before sliding back under the covers next to me. He took me in his arms and pulled me so my head was resting on his chest.
Although I knew it was a bad idea, I let myself melt into him and fell asleep there.
~~~~~~
As to be expected, I woke up the next morning with the worst hangover. So bad that when I tried to open my eyes, the light in the room cause my head to pound as if I had been struck with a baseball bat. I groaned as I pulled the covers up over my face, trying to block out as much sunlight as possible.
Next to me I heard someone chuckle, followed by a voice saying, “You’re really hungover, aren’t you?”
I threw the blanket back and looked over to see Shang-Chi still laid in bed next to me. It took me a moment to remember the events of the night before, but when I did I felt embarrassment run through me.
“Uh...yeah...I guess I am,” I said. I unconsciously pulled the blankets tight around my still naked body.
Noticing this, Shang-Chi raised an eyebrow at me. “I think we’re way past covering up now, don’t you?”
“I guess we are, but...you don’t regret last night?”
“No, not at all. Do you?”
I shook my head, but then groaned at the return of the pounding feeling. “I didn’t, but I thought the whole thing was just like...a drunken hook up for you. I thought you’d regret it in the morning because it was me you slept with.”
He rolled onto his side, propping himself up on his elbow to look down at me.
“(Y/N), have you ever wondered why I’ve always been so open with you about my past? Why I’ve told you things that I’ve never told Katy, and probably won’t tell her for a long time? Or why I always help Katy to convince you to come out for drinks with us whenever she goes?”
“Well, for that last one I just thought it was because you like to go on those nights out with her too.”
He chuckled. “Okay, yeah, that’s part of it. But the other part is that I feel something for you, (Y/N). I have for a long time. But it felt like every time we were alone and we’d start to open up to one another, something would happen. I thought maybe it wasn’t meant to happen, but last night I was just so drunk and I lost all inhibitions so I...I went for the kiss.”
“It was certainly a bold play,” I told him. “Not that I minded or anything, though. I thought it was hot that you took control, even if that didn’t last long.”
It was his turn to flush with embarrassment. “Yeah, I - uh - I don’t know where that came from last night. I’ve never...done anything like that before.”
I giggled. “It’s okay. Your secret is safe with me. I mean, as long as you keep calling me that in private that is.”
His face lit up. “So...so you’d be okay with doing this again?”
“Only if you take me out on a date first.”
He cupped my face with his hand and said, “Deal” before pulling me in for another kiss.

3. Gingerbread House + Shang-Chi
Summary: Your gingerbread house construction makes a bit of a mess.
Tumblr media
“You’re getting frosting everywhere!” You whine.
You’d picked up the gingerbread house kit from Target on a whim last weekend. Thinking that it would be a fun activity for you and Shang-Chi to do together. Something festive and couple-y to do with your boyfriend.
“I have an artistic vision,” Shang-Chi says as he continues to wield the frosting bag like a menace.
“So do I,” You inform him as you pull the pieces of gingerbread meant for the roof away from him. “And it includes not covering the counter with frosting,” You hiss.
“Have you ever even built a gingerbread house before?” You ask as you watch him continue to struggle to not get frosting everywhere but the seam where they need the two pieces of gingerbread to meet.
“No,” He admits.
“Oh my God, give that to me!” You hiss as you try to snatch the piping bag of frosting out of his hands.
He turns around, trying to keep it out of your reach. You hop around trying to grab for it in a weird little dance until your hand finally makes purchase on the bag. But as your start to pull it away you realize a little too late that with Shang-Chi still holding on that your pulling is only going to do one thing, as you squeeze and a huge gloop of frosting pours out, covering your hand.
You gasp as the cold substance covers your hand. Freezing as your eyes widen. Shang-Chi also stops moving and glances at you hesitantly.
He opens his mouth to say something, probably an apology just as your hand finally releases from the bag and you reach your frosting-covered hand up and smear it on his cheek.
“You-!” He shouts as he reels backward. A big lump of frosting slowly sliding down his cheek.
You grin as you begin to giggle uncontrollably.
“That was a mistake,” Shang-Chi warns you lowly.
“Was it?” You ask through your laughter.
Shang-Chi smirks as he holds up the frosting still tightly grasped in his hand before it’s suddenly way too close to your head as you feel it pour onto the crown of your head and begin to drip down your forehead.
You shriek as your try to wipe at it before it drips down into your eyes.
“How dare you!” You shout, though there’s hardly any annoyance in your voice as you quickly search around for something to use to exact your revenge.
Your eyes land on the bowl of gumdrops on the counter and without a second thought you reach your hand in and launch them at him.
“Ow! Those hurt!” He hisses as he defensively holds his arms out in front of his face.
“You’ve started a war!” He shouts as he grabs at the sprinkles before throwing a handful at your face.
You growl before your scoop a dollop of frosting that fell on the counter into your hand and move to smear it on the front of his shirt.
As you look up at him with a wild grin he stops trying to push you off of him and just smiles back at you, laughing at the mess that is your hair and face.
His hand moves to wipe some stray sprinkles out of your hair before his fingers come to rest under your jaw.
You instinctively push up onto your toes to press your lips against his.
He kisses you slowly, sweetly before you pull away to survey the damage you’ve inflicted on your kitchen.
“This is going to take forever to clean up,” You sigh as you look around.
“We can worry about that later,” He replies as he pulls you back towards him, making you forget all about the mess.

SOMEONE WHO WRITES FOR SHANG-CHI?!?!? NO WAY- Okokokokokok for the blurb night thing could I request the prompt "hold" for my beloved Shang chi pleaseee <33333
Shang-Chi x Reader
[ HOLD ]:  while close to the receiver, the sender wordlessly takes a hold of their hand, for no other purpose than to be holding it.
wc: 391
A/n: ahhhh my first Shang-Chi fic! I hope you liked it
Tumblr media
Katy didn't like to say it out loud, she loved saying it out loud. "You're in love with Y/N!" And all the man could do was roll his eyes at his friend.
"You gonna tell her?" Katy asked loudly over the karaoke music, wiggling her eyebrows.
"No," Shang huffed as he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms like a child when they're angry.
"Ok, I got the next round!" You cheered. Shang-Chi instantly tensed, flinging himself forward and watching your every move as you placed the beers on the table.
Katy could barely stand still as she watched her best friend hopelessly pine over you. She was sick to her stomach with cuteness at the way he smiled and looked at you with such fondness.
"Katy, what are you going to serenade us with?" you asked as you slid your chair closer to Shang-Chi, plopping down and grabbing the amber bottle.
"I have uh a little something," she teased all but skipping wards the stage.
"That doesn't sound good," Shang-Chi whined.
You chuckled and nudged him with your elbow, "Can't be that bad."
It was that bad. The two of you had different expressions as the iconic guitar of The Beatles began to play; he looked horrified while you grinned from ear to ear.
"Oh, yeah I tell you something... I think you'll understand!" Katy sang with a shit-eating grin, pointing in the direction of her friends.
"I didn't know she knew this song," you said as you swayed along to the music, your fingers tapping on the table.
All the hero could do was stare at your hands and the way your fingers tapped along to the beat. I want to hold your hand. His jaw clenched and it suddenly felt warmer in his bomber jacket.
I can't hide. No more hiding! Shang-Chi placed his hand on the table, his pointer finger darting out to touch the side of your hand. You didn't say a word as you felt his skin connect with yours, but there was no denying the small smile that crept on your lips.
It felt like hours, but his hand finally covered yours, his fingers wrapping around your palm. Two identical shy smiles adorned your faces, not daring to meet each other's gaze. Even well after her song ended, you didn't move your hands.

currents swept you out (high tide came and brought you in) [shang-chi x fem!reader]
Tumblr media
Almost a year later, but the muse came. (Sorry but also not sorry! xo)
I love all the melancholy and weight in Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. It's something I tried to explore here but I'm (of course) unsure if that was conveyed well.
Also shoutout to the sweet anon who asked about a part 2 to i'll be getting over you my who life many months ago! It kept some of my motivation for this up and kept me from deleting the draft.
Anyways, I love Shang-Chi and I would love to see more writing for him!!!
Please like, comment, and reblog! xo
+++
You think you catch glimpses of him throughout the years. A mirage of his figure around the corner, in a shadowed hallway. When you lay outside among the trees, you swear you see a vision of his face as the sun shines down on you. In the brief moments where the quiet becomes too much at the compound, you glance over your shoulder to see if he’s waiting for you, like he did before when you would sneak around for a quick word or a forbidden touch.
But Shang-qi is not there anymore, not here at all, and you don’t see him anywhere. He feels everywhere but you also know he is nowhere you can reach. Nowhere you can go. He cannot appear to you, even when that’s the only thing you want.
He is a ghost that lingers, but he is a ghost nonetheless.
And when you finally escape the compound and head for Ta Lo, you resolve to leave his ghost where it belongs: in the past.
You aren’t expecting to see Shang-qi in Ta Lo when he finally comes. You aren’t expecting to see him at all. Nan had told you that they had prepared for both his and Xialing’s arrival, but you doubted that he would ever come.
You are not even part of the welcoming group when his company rolls up in the car. First treated as a hostile group, then welcome like family. Your duties keep you physically away but the longing in your heart pulls at you no matter the distance you happen to keep from Shang-qi or Xialing.
You long to see his face, to watch as his eyes light with recognition (if, in fact, he did remember you at all). An ache deepens, and the pulling in your heart becomes slightly painful. You decide you don’t know what will be worse: living with the pain in your heart and leaving him alone or being in his presence after fifteen years of absence and wondering and grief.
When you feel your heart has gathered enough courage, you go to find him. Though the scenery is much different, for a moment you are reminded of when you would look for him at just fourteen years old, willing to risk what felt like it all at the time just to see him transiently.
The teenage love you for him that felt so all-consuming now just makes you feel forlorn.
You sit down next to him and greet him, "Shang-qi."
He turns his face and looks at you. It takes a second but there is a little surprise amidst his recognition. There is something else, too, something deeper. Something that you may not have words for but you understand all the same. A tenderness and vulnerability is there, but also shadows and fog. The rawness of what he felt fifteen years ago has dimmed with age and grief
"It was a long time ago when we last saw each other..."
"I didn't even know if you were still alive." He shakes his head and clasps his hands together on his lap.
"I found my own way," You smile, leaning in to his space before retreating.
There is a brief silence that elapses. One filled with a strange, awkward sense of peace. Or maybe comfort.
"I have heard you are trying to find your own."
"That's one way of putting it." His brow furrows and his eyes take on a different kind of shine. It's not as light as it was.
There is a gap of fifteen years in which you both lived without each other. Whatever innocent little thing you shared with him before he left to make another life for himself has been overshadowed and forgotten for things far more substantial.
For a moment the teenage girl in your heart cries. She wonders if you will ever know his lips on yours or his hands in your hair or a smile meant only for you. It is all she has ever wanted. Adult you, however, knows that the chasm between then and now is something that may not ever be able to be bridged between the two of you. And though Shang-qi is sitting beside you now, you recognize that you may never get to find what was lost so suddenly fifteen years ago.
Shang-qi may never stop being a ghost that haunts all your what-ifs and maybes.
“You were so heavy,” Your hands close around his. “So hard. Brittle. When I was younger, until you left the compound, all I wanted was to help you bear your burdens, but I know now that you wouldn’t have let me. If I asked you now, I think you still wouldn’t let me.”
Shang-qi doesn’t say anything, but you can tell from his eyes that he’s listening. He’s always listening. But his muscles are still tense, his shoulders tight. Still listening but withholding at the same time. Always withholding.
“I know I can’t solve this for you — whatever it is you are trying to fix. I can’t do any of this for you; you must do it for yourself,” You remove your hands from their place over his and expel a deep breath. “But I hope you know you can lay some of what you carry down.”
It is still quiet when you stand from your seated position next to him, but the quiet has transformed. It’s no longer peaceful for comfortable or familiar, but solemn and weighty. No matter how much you may wish to, you cannot untangle Shang-qi’s knots for him. You cannot bridge the gap between the present and past for the both of you. You can only decide to do it for yourself and and hope that he meets you halfway.
“Shang-qi,” It takes a moment, but he tilts his head up and his eyes meet yours, “I know who you are. I’ve never forgotten. But you seem to have, and what we — I — want is for you to remember.”

A Showdown
Masterlist
A/N: This didn’t exactly turn out the way I had wanted it to, but I forgot all of my notes. Special thanks to  @wint3r-h3art and @tom-whore-dleston for working out the slappening in this fic
Pairings/Characters: Shangqi x Stark!Reader, Steve Rogers, Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff
Warnings: violence, talks about pregnancy/miscarriages, fist-fighting, clint being indifferent and pizza-obsessed
Summary: Steve has finally come to you for help, and now you’re left facing your biggest fear.
Previous Chapter:  A Very Alarming Message
WC: 2.5k
Tumblr media
“Unbelievable,” Shangqi muttered as he sat in the passenger side of your car as you drove from the MET to Clint’s apartment in Bedstuy. It was meant to be mutual territory for all of you. Apparently, Steve couldn’t wait for you to get to the compound, and this needed to be said away from certain people, his words, not yours. Clint seemed to be the perfect man in the middle, simply because Natasha was also present, and she seemed more likely to stop a murder fest between you and Steve than anyone else.
Especially given how Shangqi was feeling at the moment.
“Un-fucking-believable,” Shangqi repeated to himself. “He couldn’t Ask for help while we were there? He waits until we’re outside, when you look that freaking good and feel like jumping my bones the whole night? I think he’s full of shit. He’s absolutely, totally full of shit, and he’s just doing this to give us a hard time. I fucking hate him now.”
“Sure, now you hate him,” you teased.
“Well, as much as you do, at least.”
“Oh, I don’t think anyone comes close to me on that,” you countered, “but I love that your hatred of him has grown. Let your hate consume you, Shangqi.”
“Don’t, don’t go all Palpatine on me. We both know you’re more of a Jedi than Sith leaning anyway,” He sighed as he leaned on his arm.
You chuckled, “Well, definitely more grey-leaning at the least.” You parked in front of Clint’s building, ignoring the fact that the spot you chose definitely wasn’t a spot, and you were likely to get a ticket if some traffic cop came around in the middle of the night. “I see his bike down the block.”
“Great. He’s here,” Shangqi groaned. “This was not how the night was meant to go.”
“I know.”
“You were going to do deplorable things to me, and I was going to do deplorable things to you!”
“Trust me, I’m aware.”
“We were going to traumatize people in a random hotel! I needed this!” He whined and loosened his tie and undid his jacket buttons. “Ugh, let’s just go. At least Clint’s there, he’s cool. Do you think he has food?”
“Honey, I’m nearly positive that man has food.”
Shocking absolutely no one, when you got to Clint’s floor, you could smell pizza. You looked to Shangqi who sighed in relief. You didn’t want to know where that man had gotten pizza from this late at night, but, hey, it was New York, after all.
The door was already open since you had rung the bell downstairs to be let in. You both walked right into the apartment and were hit by the smell of pizza even more. Clint muttered that Steve was in the kitchen, and you all walked right over there to see him leaning against the counter, his hands gripping the countertop behind him while Natasha leaned against the refrigerator.
Natasha caught your eye, a tiny smirk forming at the corner of her lips as she addressed you, “Hey, Stark. Still in shock I’m here?”
“What? No. I’m totally fine with the fact that you’re back and we had a totally different relationship in your world.”
“Well, you were dead for most of it in my world, so,” Natasha nodded. “Anyway, Steve’s here.”
“Great,” Shangqi muttered under his breath and grabbed a slice of pizza off the countertop before shoving half of it in his mouth. “So what is it this time, Rogers? You found out we were having a nice night out on the town, and you just felt it in your bones to try to steal my wife from me for the millionth time?”
“No,” Steve cleared his throat and lifted his head to look at you with those pitiful blue eyes. “We have a problem.”
Rolling your eyes, which earned a smirk from Clint as he leaned over to whisper in Natasha’s ear, you hopped up and sat on the last empty counter, “Speak.”
“I think there’s a version of you from an alternatte universe here,” Steve confessed.
This was it. This was exactly your fear, another you in your world trying to cause trouble. You sat there listening to Steve plead his case, how he explained that you, or rather, this version of you, came to him saying how you loved him, that you and Shangqi were no more. He explained that the two of you had been sleeping together and that Steve thought this was the chance he’d been waiting for, but how he realized it was too good to be true the second she called him ‘Stevie’, but he was so enamored with the idea of having you back, he kept on doing it until the guilt got to him.
“So, let me get this straight,” you cleared your throat. “You thought I left Shangqi, and you decided that it was totally normal for me to appproach you and fuck you after leaving my husband.”
“Well, there was a tan line on your ring finger, and you were wearing that blue sweater I really like — “
“I don’t even own that anymore, Steve! I burned it! I can’t fucking believe you. I can’t believe you honestly thought it was me and you just went with it thinking with your fucking dick first! This is unbelievable! And, what, you had your fill of her and you’re telling me this now, why?”
Steve groaned, “Like I said, Y/N, I, I just wasn’t thinking. I thought it was you, okay? I love you, and I —“
Steve did not finish his sentence. Shangqi had quietly taken one step forward, just enough space for him to reel back and throw his fist against Steve’s cheek. The super soldier stumbled but quickly recovered to see Shangqi fuming.
“You need to stay the hell away from my wife,” Shangqi growled. “Just keep her name out of your fucking mouth, Rogers.”
Clint cleared his throat to get your attention, “You gonna stop that?”
You crossed one leg over the other and grabbed one of Clint’s discarded beers to drink from, “Nope.”
“Shangqi —“
“No,” he said, cutting him off quickly. “No, Steve. I’m sick of it. Ever since.I met you, you’ve been trying to get her away from me. Now you’re just standing here telling me all about how you slept with her and thought we were done, so you swooped in like a vulture? I mean, what kind of brazen piece of shit are you?”
“I get you’re upset, but you’ve got to understand our history here —“
“No —“
“Gentlemen,” Natasha said loudly to cut over their bickering, “You’re missing the point here. Y/N Stark from another universe is here looking for family. What does that mean?”
Steve shook his head, “She just said she wanted me back and how she loves me.”
“And what have you been doing?” Natasha asked, then rolled her eyes when she saw Steve turn red, “Aisde from sleeping together, Steve.”
“She kept talking about starting over, and having a family together and stepping away from all of this,” Steve explained. “It was...very domestic, I hadn’t heard you say anything like that for a long time, Y/N.”
You hummed, “Well, I haven’t been feeling very domestic for a long time, and you were gone, so, you know —“
“Before that —“
“Whatever —“
“She talked about wanting kids,” Steve said. “But she kept it short, like it upset her.”
Clint frowned, “Where is she, Steve?”
“She’s at the compound. I left saying I was meeting Bucky.”
“Wow, Captain America lying again, amazing,” Shangqi snickered.
“Out of curiosity, where’s Morgan?” Natasha asked.
“At home….” you trailed off. “Do you think she’d go after them?”
“I think if she’s desperate for a family, who knows what she’s capable of.”
You knew you had to act fast, you jumped off the table and went to grab your phone from your clutch as you started barking orders, “Steve, call my father. Clint, get the special arrows —“
“They’re all special — “
“You know which ones,” you said quickly, locking eyes with the man who cringed and nodded.  You nodded to yourself, “Shangqi, rings?”
“Car.”
“Okay. I’m calling Strange, we’re gonna need him.Here’s the plan. We’re teleporting to either the compound, or the lake house. Clint, I want you nowhere near. I want you as far as you can get while maintaining sight. Shangqi, you, Steve, Sam, and Bucky are on quake watch — after we kidnap them, of course.”
Shangqi balked, “Excuse me?”
“Oh, let me make myself clear:  If one or both of us gets close to breaking the planet in half, you have to stop us. Your rings can, at the very least, match my power. They have vibranium, Stephen can teleport them, and Clint —“
“Has knockout arrows and a very special netting arrow where the netting is very thinly laced with vibranium, made it after the snap, not sure how strong it is yet, but I guess we’ll find out,” Clint added as he threw his quiver on his shoulder. “Let’s get going, shall we?”
“No plan for me, Stark?” Natasha asked after a moment, head tilting to the side as she stared at you. “I’m hurt.”
You chewed on your bottom lip, “I’m sure you can guess what I need from you.”
Natasha’s eyes flickered over to Shangqi. She watched as the man gave her the most confused stare on the planet as he looked between her and you. Natasha looked back to you and gave you one quick nod in understanding.
~*~
After gathering everyone in the middle of the night, you went to the compound to prepare for something potentially horrible. Tony said that no one had come to the compound yet, but he did have his sensors go off for seismic activity near the property before it stopped.
You deduced that, perhaps, you realized that the other you had been detected and decided to back off of the lake house for now. This way, when everyone was at the compound and in position, Shangqi several feet behind you with Steve, the rest of them laying in hiding, you expected to see yourself. You were waiting for it, but watching a version of you suddenly land in the dirt in front of you, ground cracking by her feet, it was unnerving. When she stood at her full height, you felt a little uneasy watching her stare at you with such intensity.
Is this what it was like when people saw you? Wow, this was a lot.
“So we finally meet. You found me out. It took you long enough,” she said to you. “I’m not here to fight.”
“Good,” you replied. “Why are you here?”
“It’s simple,” she explained. “I lost everything, and I want my life back.”
You shook your head, “You can’t have it by taking mine.”
She laughed in your face, “Is that what you think? That, that you and your band of merry friends hiding in the trees could stop me from taking what I want?”
“Well, clearly,” You shrugged and nodded to her. “This is my life, not yours. I think it’s time you go.”
“You’re not sending me back,” she shook her head. “You got your dad back, your friends, you got Stevie back and you don’t even love him like you should.”
“He hurt me — “
“We hurt him,” she snapped. “We failed him.”
You laughed in disbelief, “We didn’t do shit. Fuck that guy, he’s a prick. I knew my self-esteem was low, but damn, that low to think you’re missing out with Steve of all people? Rough, buddy. I — “
“Don’t talk about him like that!” She threw her hand up and made your heart stop. You gasped for air and clutched your chest as you went straight to the ground. Shangqi ran forward, his hand shooting forward to hit her with a ring, but she deflected his own ring back to him and sent him flying in the air until Steve jumped up, caught his arm, and brought him down.
“Stop it!” Steve shouted. “Stop hurting her!”
The alternate version of you lowered her hand. You gasped for air as the pain stopped and your heart started pumping blood once more. You looked up as she started approaching you in a slow, sinister walk.
“You don’t know what it’s like to watch your husband die,” she hissed. “To watch the life leave his eyes because he died for you. You have no idea how that feels.”
You held up your hand, your index and thumb close together, “A little bit.”
Laughing, she knelt down in front of you, “I lost everything, and you have everything I want, well, almost everything I want.”
You stared up at her and narrowed your eyes, “Oh, right. You wanted a baby, right? Did you think you can just take my sister and raise her as your own? Fat chance. Why not just keep letting Steve use you as a cum dumpster? He’s stupid enough to think you’re somewhat like me.”
She chuckled again and shook her head, “You don’t even know, do you?”
“Know what?”
“We can’t have children, Stark,” she explained to you. “Have you never tried? Two husbands, and not a single attempt at kids? Sad, pathetic, even,” she shook her head. “We can’t have children.”
You laughed at her. She was lying, clearly. You were perfectly healthy, so why would you be unable to have kids? That wasn’t even a thought that had crossed your mind, it wasn’t a concern, nothing ever came up. “That’s, that’s just not true. You, maybe, but there’s nothing wrong with me —“
“Miscarriage, after miscarriage, after miscarriage, and you know what I learned?” She stood up tall. “We’re just too physically unstable to have a kid. All that power we hold in, it’s too unstable an environment, and when we use it? It’s even worse. You will never be a mother, Y/N Stark. You will never have that picture-perfect family that I know you want, but I will.”
Now, given that this was you, you knew what to expect. Your hands came up just as hers did, and the two of you were intent on using your powers to kill the other, but you were locked in a stalemate. Shangqi tried to throw his rings into the mix, but the power emanating from you two, they couldn’t even penetrate.
Steve’s shield hovered in the air near you, but it was flung right back. You and yourself were making the earth beneath you shake and crack, a split forming in the dirt between you. Chunks of the ground started to shoot up, and as the earth started to split, you both started to lose your balance, but neither were giving up.
“Just let me have this!” She shouted at you, “Let me have him! You don’t even want him!”
“You’re right, I don’t,” you agreed. “But I’m not letting some cunty, harpy version of me have him either. You will not have my life.”
She nodded frantically, “Fine, then die!”
Everything went black.
