There is no better way to start off than with this loving fan service tribute to the Daicon opening animations. Everything about this short is cool to me. The character Yu-ri, the mechs looking like Daicon robot, and Transformers, the music and the animation is just godly. As well it is a love letter to old media, and those of you who have followed me for a while know my love for old media. Anyways hope you enjoy these works there are actually going to be 12 pieces so I broke this drop up into two weeks.I will drop the second part next week. Cloverworks and Khara Team Up for Gorgeous Idolm@ster Music Video

When news broke that Atsushi Nishigori was returning to the IDOLM@STER franchise to direct a new "concept film" alongside The Idol Master TV anime production team at Cloverworks and his buddies over at Studio Khara (Evangelion 3.0+1.0), this writer doesn't think they were prepared for this.

Working alongside Nishigori is fellow Khara staffer Shogo Tsurii known for his 3D work on Evangelion 3.0+1.0 and working in the film's previous production – which translated over to the music video in a wonderful way.

The music video, which uses the song "VOY@GER" from THE IDOLM@STER FIVE STARS!!!!!, a group containing idols from the past 15 years of the franchise, was made to push past the 15th-anniversary of The Idolm@ster series and look to the future.

It seems @marshmallowgoop got to ask Hiroyasu Kobayashi and Shogo Tsurii from Studio Khara a question that I requested at a panel she visited. And it seems they liked the question and gave her the 2019 Evangelion Calendar for free lol. You don’t know how happy that makes me.

I love this little film so much. It is a love letter to everything I think is cool, and I wanted it to be the first entry in the JAE sub retrospective. I am getting older I guess and looking back on all these things that inspire me. Things that I just love so much. It makes me happy to share them with others. The Idolm@ster Series Concept Movie 2021 'VOY@GER' in The Works

During the special program "The Idolm@ster 16th Memorial Live-streaming ~16th Anniversary P@rty!!!!!~" last night, it was announced that a new concept movie "The Idolm@ster Series Concept Movie 2021 'VOY@GER'" is now in the works.

According to the teaser PV posted on the web, the production team of THE IDOLM@STER anime series will reunite to produce a concept movie towards the future beyond the 15th-anniversary of The Idolm@ster series. The anime series' director Atsushi Nishigori is attached to direct, Shogo Tsurii (studio khara) serves as visual director, and CloverWorks and studio khara works on production.

In the clip to be released soon, the 15 idols, who are introduced in the teaser PV, will sing the newly produced image song "VOY@GER" under the unit name THE IDOLM@STER FIVE STARS!!!!!. The CD singles of the song are set to be released in five editions featuring each brand on August 4, 2021. It will be also available digitally on the same day.
