i've been meaning to articulate this for a while. but. what truly speaks to me about revolutionary girl utena is that it takes problems kids have seriously in the surreal way that it works. i was thinking of this specifically in terms of touga and saonji. like, yes, my first best friend and i are no longer on speaking terms anymore...yes, that does feel like a sword being pulled out of my chest. if this is anything.

There's a new show coming out called Revolutionary Girl Utena, by that guy that did some of Sailor Moon. The show starts on April 2, 1997, so it's almost time!
