in my mind, body, and soul squirrelshrew were best friends. cousin energy. they shared a nest cause spiderpaw didn’t like sharing and leafpaw was in cinderpelt’s den and they missed being with their littermates. squirrelpaw drags dustpelt threw the mud to his own son but when he comes around she’s like hi mr dustpelt mentor sir what are we doing today LMFAOO their dynamic had so much potential and i miss shrewpaw every day of my life

Follow up for the Ferncloud and Shrewpaw Comic, I cleaned up the sketch concept I did of Spiderpaw and Shrewpaw just to get a sense of their character design. I can imagine Spiderpaw being the guy to call his parents "mom" and "pops" while Shrewpaw is more of a "ma" and "pa"

Some of my favorite Warrior Cat ships:

I was originally gonna do the ‘Draw Your Favorite Warriors ____’ challenge but there were so many ships that I liked that I decided to just draw all my favorite ships instead! I think all of these are not canon but honestly in Warriors the best ships are the ones that aren’t real. (Also side note, I have multiple ships with a same character, that’s because I don’t ever really have a ‘favorite’ ship and I often like multiple ships)

reunion :) idk Shrew and Squirrel have such wlw mlm solidarity vibes to me like idk. they have a very cute relationship whether it’s romantic, qpr, or just besties, i love them :)

AU stuff :)

iiin this au, Shrewpaw caught the pheasant, but was still in the way of the construction vehicle and was very badly injured. He was named a warrior early, given the name Shrewflight, in honor of the pheasant he leapt for before it could fly away, bringing it home to feed his clanmates in a time of great need. He wasn’t well enough to make the journey, but the elders that stayed behind swore they’d care for him as best they could. He was young and strong, they encouraged him every step of the way, even after his clan had left no choice but to leave them all behind.

Eventually, the cats grew desperate, and the traps the construction crew left out made quick work of scooping them up. They were a bunch of hungry elderly cats and one who was very injured, it wasn’t all too hard to catch them. They were brought to the local shelter in… whatever town the forest is near. Shrewflight was brought to a vet where, unfortunately, his leg had to be amputated as the elders, while they tried their best, really didn’t have the medical experience to care for him correctly.

In the town’s shelter, lo and behold, GRAYSTRIPE!?!? and Millie, hi, nice to meet you. aaanyway gray is very happy to see his clanmates, but also mortified to hear what has become of their old home. The elders still have to stay behind, they can’t make the journey, but Shrewflight is determined to accompany Graystripe and Millie, and the trio escape the shelter and make their way to the clans

Squirrelflight chose to be named after Shrewflight in this AU, similar to how Crowfeather chose to be named after Feathertail!!

Also the vets neutered Shrewpaw just to kill two bird w one stone in surgery, that’s why his ear is tipped! This causes a lot of drama when Squirrelflight returns to the clan with 3 kittens in tow, and chooses to settle down with Shrew…

Also i adore the contrast between Shrewflight and Spiderleg in this AU, how Shrew committed himself to someone he cared deeply for, and took in kits that weren’t his as if they were his own, meanwhile Spiderleg cut himself off from the one he used to love and abandoned his own children.

hiiii more lazy platonic squirrelshrew art. rambling under the cut lolol

my brain worms on these two are so bad i am not normal about them. shrew is a hopeless romantic while squirrel is aromantic (slides my squirreldaisy post under the bed) and i think that’s funny. idk my brain is so full of ideas for their dynamic it’s insane. like in my head shrewpaw is so patient and observant. while his best friend is this hyperactive, disrespectful ass little rat they’re so silly. he’s literally such a mom friend to her he’s gotta make sure she looks both ways before crossing the street LMFAOO but he has so much fun with squirrel. he’s not so uptight with her and she kinda learns some maturity from him. these are my babies and everything i say about them is correct

Moon 0: - Goldenflower and her patrol (Cloudtail & Brambleclaw) encounter a young, sick kittypet abandoned by the thunderpath and take her in. The Clan decides to call her Thymepaw.

Moon 1: - Graystripe is found dead near the ShadowClan border... but there doesn't really seem to be much indication that ShadowClan had anything to do with it. - Sandstorm kits unexpectedly (no one even knew she was expecting!) and unfortunately does not survive. There is only a single she-kit, who Firestar decides to call Morningkit. - Sorrelpaw and Shrewpaw earn their warrior names, Sorreltail and Shrewtail.
