this is again an example of a pet peeve of mine where y'all think of the lovesquare sides as surface-level/aesthetic based on who's wearing a mask rather than what they actually are: Relationship Dynamics

When Adrien and Marinette are in the sewers together in the Season 2 finale and Adrien tells her the"you and me against the entire world,” that's Ladynoir. They're unmasked, but it's Ladynoir. When Marinette is texting Alya telling her to laugh at Chat Noir's jokes to make him happy, that's still Ladynoir, because she's thinking about her relationship with Chat Noir as Ladybug.

Ladynoir has the strongest and most developed relationship of the lovesquare. Ladynoir is the side that's best friends. Ladynoir is the side where they’re comfortable enough with each other to playfully roast each other and disagree with each other and get mad at each other and then easily come back from that and talk about it because they so openly love each other. Ladynoir is the side that already behaves like a real couple. That best friendship that they formed as Ladynoir? The deep trust and casual affection and petnames and banter? That stays when the masks come off. They're still going to be doing that when they're an old married couple. The things they went through together as Ladynoir are why they can understand each other in ways no one else can. And they didn't get any of that from Adrienette. That's all Ladynoir. The masks aren't what makes Ladynoir. The bond they formed as Ladynoir will last their whole lives.

What's TVL about? I scrolled through the tag but couldn't find a summary 👀

considered revealing the actual summary for tvl but instead of doing that:

tvl is a largely ladynoir centric fic about them at age 23! meaning they’re like done w university, officially ‘working’ etc, BUT the real catalyst here is that ladybug’s powers have been getting more varied, stronger — leading to her creating a place called the Secret Base. this is essentially an akuma proof space that they can access from any door in existence! over the years, some holders gave up their kwamis for various reasons, and thus the Secret Base allows ladynoir to safely protect the holder-less kwamis without putting a strain on their private lives.

one day, ladybug gets drunk in the Secret Base (literally like a few days into creating it) and reveals to chat noir that she is a virgin. and that she would like his help to stop being as such
