Love how you shamelessly hate Aang—I mean this totally as a compliment by the way! I’m so tired of seeing “I ship Zutara but I LOOOOVE Aang he’s a cinnamon roll baby!!!” and “you can like Zutara and also like Aang” and “it’s the WRITING that’s bad not Aang!” takes…ugh. Please. He’s a cartoon character and I don’t like him. That isn’t a crime. He’s boring at best and an entitled borderline abusive little shit at worst. I don’t like him! It’s so refreshing to read your blog, I don’t understand this fandom’s obsession with acting like he’s a real child we have to coddle

I don't understand it either. Then again, I will go to the mat to defend some pretty controversial characters, so who am I to judge (justice for Mr. Collins!) ? I don't mind that other people like him -some of my favorite people in the fandom like him- as long as they don't come after me for not liking him.

But yeah, the defense of him boiling down to "bad writing" always felt off. To me, bad writing is when the character suddenly takes actions that seem to come out of nowhere. Aang's actions in the back half of ATLA and into the comics and LoK track. They track very well with who he was even in the first season. Yes, he got worse as the series progressed, but the seeds were always there. I guess, if you want to make an argument for it being bad writing, you could talk about how his bad traits in the first half seemed to be setting up a growth arc that was abandoned in the second half. There's an argument to be made there, but it's not an argument that Aang's worst traits were OOC for him. I am not shocked at the kind of family Aang ended up having. I'm not shocked at how Kataang the couple turned out. I'm only shocked that Bryke managed to be that honest about Aang without realizing how awful he was.

But anyway, YES!!! Absolutely starts a haircare line just because you suggest it. You mention it once (while you open your monthly delivery of all your favorite products) and two weeks later you see on his desktop that he's been contacting people about getting a label and factory and what not.

I also like the thought of... maybe kinda, instead of working with a brand that already make good shampoo or trying to setup a branch of your choice in japan... he like, gives you control over it all. Like, lets you work with chemists and designers to create a product that you'd like...

So while the bottle has like: "Dynamight Agency" on the corner of it, it's YOUR company + shampoo.

Definitely those vibes of like... low profile rich person spends a lot of time creating an extremely luxury self care brand because they can. Like Goop! or Tatcha lmao.

(I also really like the idea of Kiri with a hair care line, too. He has all the nice hair dyes and oils and conditioners... so when he hears you complaining about lack of curly hair treatments he's immediately going apeshit and helping create some.)

So I have a little observation/headcanon based on Thanks To Them.

So Hunter called Camila's sewing machine a sewing 'contraption' which suggests that he's probably never seen one before. This might be because he grew up extremely sheltered but it could also mean that sewing machines just don't exist on the Boiling Isles. Therefore all clothing on the BI is hand sewn and therefore a lot more valuable/expensive than it is on Earth (as clothing was historically back when everything had to be made by hand). This could serve as an in universe explanation as to why we always see most of the characters only wear the same 1-3 outfits in every episode. (Ik that's just a common Cartoon Thing™ but shhhhh)

Then again, machinery clearly does exist on the BI so idk why they wouldn't also have sewing machines. But whatever this is just a little headcanon and I thought I'd share it here

i can't be the only one to think sith lord so uh... star wars au anyone? where pete is a young jedi sent to "guard" (aka keep an eye on) vegas, the son of a powerful politician suspected of conspiring against the republic. he has been warned of the risks, knows what kind of danger he is walking into, but nothing could have prepared him for vegas who is like the anti-thesis of the jedi, governed by his emotions, both good and bad. and pete has never struggled with the code or felt he was missing out on attachments but something about vegas reaches inside him and makes him want. when he watches vegas play with his brother or coo at his pets, something warms curls in his chest. when he catches a lover sneaking out of vegas' rooms, he feels jealous. when he witnesses vegas take his father's rage with slumped shoulders, radiating self-hatred, he gets angry. the lines blur and pete feels like he's going mad. he starts leaning into vegas' teasing touches and missing scheduled calls to the temple. years of conditioned beliefs crumble as vegas whispers about the corruption in the senate. he falls and falls until he doesn't even recognize the person who stares back at him in the mirror but he has never felt more alive as he does with vegas' marks decorating his skin. tldr; vegas dicks pete down to the dark side
