Reasons and Circumstances made it a "use what you already had" holiday last week. Still, I think I did well enough. Good thing I bought stuffing in, like, March. ¬_¬

Pics of the pork ribs I smoked. I didn't have apples this time, so I put the last of my (not canned) carrots in with them. Then I cut the carrots and mixed them into the stuffing, along with some walnuts, which was a delicious idea.

I also baked bread again. This time, I used half wheat and half all purpose flour. Very tasty. 👌

And crustless pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. It cracked damn badly again... Now I suspect splitting the recipe has something to do with that. Maybe I shouldn't, but... I like doing it...
The corn pudding was leftover from whenever I made it last.

NOTE TO SELF: First trip to the Little Rock location and it did not disappoint. I want to mix it up and try other things, but this is a solid order. I can't imagine anything else is better than the ribs. Also, I ran into my friend who works here and he threw in the banana pudding, which I could get used to in a hurry.
Currently ranked first of two January meals.

NOTE TO SELF: Mad respect for putting Kraft Mac & Cheese in a bowl and serving it up at a restaurant. Chicken was a little dry, but otherwise this was a nice guilty-pleasure meal.

Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! If your goofball sitcom neighbor invites you over for a "backyard barbeque" , 9 times out of 10, IT'S A LIE like going to the supermarket to buy a cantaloupe or believing diet soda is any better for you than regular soda. Chucking some hot dogs and hamburgers on a grill and cooking them to incineration does not constitute a "barbeque" even if you put barbeque sauce on them (although if you do, good choice!).  True barbeque is a process. A process that involves seasoning meat with a dry rub, a sauce or both then cooking it low and slow with smoke and heat transforming the flesh into smoky, salty, spicy, sweet goodness. True barbeque is a pulled pork sandwich, a plate of beef brisket, and links of sausage paired with your choice of sides. Does this seem narrow minded? Probably and heck, every state seems to have its own definition and method on the subject. Can you still enjoy the not actually barbeque stuff that should more colloquially be known as grilling? Of course! Is what I have described as barbeque incredibly delicious and also wonderful? What do you think?!…yes, the answer is yes.
