Drumpfh Hotel? Monte Cristo, Washington, 2004.
It is said that the Drumpfh family fortune was in part based on a hotel the indicted (and one hopes soon to be felon) Trump's grandfather ran in the mining boom-town of Monte Cristo. The town, like much of what the family has touched, is now a tattered shell with a few buildings like the one shown remaining. One suspects grandpa Drumpfh, a draft dodger and persona non grata in his native country, made money on activities other than simply renting rooms. He quite probably skipped town owing lots of people money and favors.

Current level of nerdery about transit systems: reading the entire 77 page 2022-2027 Transit Development Plan for Snohomish County’s Community Transit system in one sitting and finding the entire thing interesting (and finally finding that chart of future SWIFT lines that I’d been looking for and had seen ages ago again).

Opossum, Skunk and Coyote Wildlife Road Sign
For the love of these magnificent animals that also call northern Skagit county their home and habitat- I made this piece from a decommissioned aluminum road sign: a recognition for the safety of the legendary coyotes, the enigmatic skunk and our regions’ only marsupial (like koalas!!) the opossum. I hope to work with Stanwood supporters of the arts and governments of the City of Stanwood and…

DSHS WA State actively discriminates against Seniors and the Disabled.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How you might ask? They use artificial financial rules that do not represent real world living by anybody in the immediate environment that the people they're supposed to be helping are in. I call it Financial Tyranny.
In my opinion the financial restrictions that they impose are about preventing people from getting help. The financial rules are so artificial that there is nobody anywhere in the real world that lives in the manner they claim is "normal," not one person anywhere!
There is no real help for anybody in Snohomish County Washington! Every single thing they offer on 211 has a barrier designed to keep you from being able to get the help.
If you live in a vehicle and use fuel to stay warm; TOO BAD FOR YOU! You should have bought food with that money instead!
Most seniors and disabled have income. They just don't have enough income to rent a place to live. So they use their income to keep a car going.
Some Senior and Disabled people are actually sleeping on the ground. I met two women this week both of them sleep outside, one is 62 the other 74. The 62 year old was recently raped. She deals with Verdant South County Health, they told her she has to go find her own Counselor. Yes, a severally traumatized woman living outdoors and recently raped should try to find her own counselor! That's really helpful!
Is there anybody left out there that doesn't understand what's really going on in the US today? The only agenda this country has is to steal all the money they can get from you. And when you need help there isn't anything for you! Other Countries, and Black Budget agendas get all the money!
For you people who are not aware, 60% of homeless people work, they have jobs, so if "get a job" was the answer, then they wouldn't be homeless.
What a GREAT COUNTRY this is, if constant and forever War Mongering is your thing!
Keep an eye on WA State Government. BIG changes are coming!
Our Story Homeless 2023
Missy Mischievious & Boo Boo, and I started our homeless adventure in Washington State, on New Years Eve 2022.
I'm a Senior single woman. The kitties are Missy Mischievious age 3, and Boo Boo age 18+.
I'm adjusting to this slowly. I was homeless for 6 years before. I struggled with medical issues, and I finally got myself off the street and back to work only to lose two jobs during COVID.
Boo Boo, my older girl, is adjusting. , fastest of us. Missy Mischievous is not doing as well. She hates the sound of the rain. Both of them came to me in horrible shape needing a home.
We were doing OK before Covid happened. Now we are homeless as a result of sanctioned criminal enterprises in my city.
Our Mobile Home was stolen through Nefarious Means, and Fancy Legal Shenanigans
The girls would like hand warmers in their beds at night to help keep them warm, and so does Mom. We need fuel to keep moving and stay warm. We do a lot of Laundry, anything helps. Mom needs coffee to keep going.
Both cats need food, and hand warmers all Winter.
Any help would be appreciated!

Outdoor Recreation in Snohomish County
Checking in with visitor information receptionist Erika Morris at the Darrington information center, the Mountain Loop Highway is a great highway/byway to begin venturing outdoors. Its history rests in lumber harvesting, old mining camps and railroads in the eerie boonies. Like Monte Cristo and Gothic Basin Trails.
Also called the Mountain Loop, the Mountain Loop Highway follows the South Fork Stillaguamish and Sauk Rivers. For weekend getaway campgrounds nestled on the rivers, bring innertubes and kayaks for a calming float out west from the Cascade watershed. A substitute from the gym, a trek in the mountain loop is a breath of fresh air. Getting up close to the wilderness sets piece of mind and space to think.
Youth-on-age is a quarter mile paved interpretive trail to introduce the rich history of Snohomish County for young families. The Mountain Loop is the beginning stage to experience the outdoors. Fish Ladder and Old Robe Trail are short, relatively flat trails. A bite of fresh air and stunning evergreen brings about cravings to venture into natural beauty.
Familiar to Snohomish County residents is the 30-mile Centennial Trail. Near flat and paved, the trail is built on the old Burlington-Northern railroad line. Matt Tabor, President/CEO of Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce, reveals the trail is a popular location for bikes and family walks. Its popular during the warm summer months and autumn as the weather begins to cool.
Officially starting at Nakashima Heritage Barn North Trailhead, the trail winds through downtown Arlington, Industrial Lake Stevens and ends in the city of Snohomish City Center. Matt comments the 6-foot wide natural surface is popular for bike rides available to all with ADA accessibility and picnic areas and rest stops.
Mastering the Centennial and level mountain loop trails can prepare the venturous spirit for more advanced hiking and overnight camping. Ascending in difficulty from Mt. Pilchuck and Mt. Dickerman, Perry Creek is the most difficult terrain in the Mountain Loop. The trail ascends 3950 feet in five and a quarter miles for a 10.5 mile round trip. The trail sits in the eaves of Snohomish County. Unrecognizable from its uninhabited surroundings inspires victory of Snohomish County terrain.
Take a change of pace from city life. Explore the outdoors. Set your own pace and enjoy the journey. A trip outdoors resets stress levels for a fresh start. Don’t forget to stop in a visitor or ranger station. Find out what trails meet your skill level and outdoor experience. Prepare the 10 outdoor essentials. Be sure to stay up-to-date on wilderness alerts for wildlife migration and natural hazards like wildfires and mudslides.
Time away from work and vacation expenses can add up to rough expenses. Stay close to home without the expense. Visit the Mountain Loop for a carefree weekend.
