suguru wonders how long it’ll take before satoru notices you’re not hearing him anymore.
you two have been listening to him ramble on and on about digimon and video games for the last ten minutes. but geto noticed first your sudden lack of responses, how you haven’t actually contributed anything besides the occasional nod or a ‘yeah?’ just to keep gojo talking. the look on your face—it makes geto’s heart swell. the gentlest smile on your lips, head slightly tilted in the palm of your hand. wide, lovestruck eyes that don’t know what aspect of satoru to focus on: the excitement in bright blue eyes, his grin, the wild gesture of his hands when he can’t think of a word to get his point across. when he again brushes long, white bangs off his forehead only for them to fall right back into place. or gives a jumbled, messy explanation because he can’t gather his thoughts, ended with a ‘y’know?’ or ‘you guys get it, right?’.
gojo stops mid-sentence, rolling over onto his side to get a better look at you. now he’s noticed. “still with me, baby?”
to you, he’s so cute, one of your perfect boys that’s hung the stars in the sky to light your way. “yeah, i hear you. keep going.”
and it’s such a heartwarming scene for suguru. he just loves the sight of you two.
To me the joy and beauty of vocal synthesizers has always been that they don't sound real and exploring that to create artistic expression that can't be achieved by human voices, so seeing them become more and more realistic is disheartening, almost? Especially since a lot of artists make the same voice banks sound so different and have their own personal charm. I'm glad that people will be able to make things that sound realistic, but I'm worried that songs that intentionally play out of sounding as realistic as possible will be sidelined, discouraged, no longer created, impossible to find, or unsupported by fans of vocal synthesizers. I don't want things to just push towards being as realistic as possible. There is beauty in how everyone's usage of the same voice banks sound different. There is beauty in the lack of realistic sounding vocals in vocal synthesizers.
Me, who did not read TYBW and is not about to: Imagine if Bill Cipher was still an eldritch little freak, but had the personality of both Santa Claus and Pepe le Pew, you'll be close. Also he's 12 feet tall with the stupidest proportions imaginable.
yosuke p4 exists in this really interesting limbo where his entire character is amazing and nuanced if you see him as queer, and complete and utter ass if you see him as straight
