Saw a tarot reader today — she was very polite to the person in front of me, a lot of niceties, just a simple reading with a simple message about who the person was.

We get to my turn. She pulls four cards and got very intense. She looked me right in the eyes — we hadn’t held eye contact during our introductions — and reached out like she wanted to hold my hands. She said, “I have a big message for you. It’s important. Are you ready?”

This, like, five-foot-two slip of a girl had my full attention and the hair on my arms was standing up, and she was like… “Whatever it is you’re thinking of… whatever it is that rolls through your brain, back and forth, over and over again, that’s what this is for. Do you know what that is?”

I didn’t, but a voice in my head — the voices are back btw, this wasn’t just a thought — said, “letting go.” So I nodded.

She sighed a little, looking at me, and said, “It’s time to do it. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it.”

And we just sat there for a few seconds! That was the entire reading, but the most effective one I’ve ever had. I walked away and immediately said to my mom, who was looking at crystals, that I was going to puke.

stuck on an island for three years with the goddess of death (and all her disciples) who tells you you’re part of a series of prophecies and the reincarnated (?) freed soul of the eighth immortal (there are eight immortals/gods protecting the world from an eternal demon war youre apparently also fighting in a past life) whose old body is trapped and corrupted but who is also consuming the entire world and eating the sun (just slowly) because this one dragon really likes your singing voice and wants to immortalize you in his rock garden of trapped musicians for his personal entertainment for eternity and the island is the only place he can’t get you because his mom (that death goddess) told him he couldn’t step on the island? blow up a volcano and destroy the island and fake your death about it!

I’ve been playing a lot of sdv lately, which means many harvey thoughts cause I love him sm, I just love the idea of him and the farmer being like....the ones others in town go to for help? a power couple kinda thing? like him for medical issues, obviously, but then there’s an established system, basically, of the farmer helping everyone out around town. and also I feel like this point is demonstrated well in, actually, both maru and shane’s heart events, where maru breaks the beaker and isn’t sure what to do and the farmer can tell her to just confess and harvey won’t be upset (which ofc he isnt). and then with shane, the farmer is the one to bring him to harvey and harvey gets him connections to a therapist. like...idk.....I just get a lot of warm shippy feels about it all.

and that’s not even touching on how the farmer helps him with his own problems. I know harvey’s thing is more or less a midlife crisis and being incredibly lonely, and while he talks about how he wanted to be a pilot I do truly believe he loves his work as a doctor still. sometimes it’s ok when your ultimate dream doesnt work out, but that doesnt mean you cant have new ones, and I feel the the farmer helps him realize that. and while they’re off in the mines or taking care of the farm or chopping wood, or one of the other 923842394 things you can do, harvey is prepping groceries and healthy food and making sure they’re taken care of iDK I JUST HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)

the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)

all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)

honestly? nothing all too much would go about making the experience better. considering the fact that actually I have been roleplay for a good portion of, what? 5+ years? I took a very long break at random times and even more randomly would pop back up to prove I'm alive. and every time I came back something was different about how Tumblr ran things, how other stuff happened- graphics, all that fun jazz. usually if something happened that I didn't care for, Xkit was usually there to help fix the mess in some regard. I think just bringing back regular trimming of posts would make things a lot easier, or the formatting of posts from before. It's pretty annoying having to either send a reply, or post it in drafts to try and trim it so it doesn't look like a complete mess on my end!

but in the end thats just formatting and making things look pretty. all in all when it comes to having better experiences on tumblr is meeting and interacting with nice people! I have met a lot of friends on tumblr and still keep in contact a handful even after the years passed. I think the people are the best part of tumblr, it always makes me super happy whenever I return from a hiatus and people I've roleplayed with immediately remember me and are happy.
