1. Why did you choose your URL? - Cause I'm a Raeven, and the things I write are very Raevenly (also its a nickname from my wife)

2. Any side blogs?

@raevenlywrote is my wips only sideblog, so folks who wanted to put notifs on but didn't want to be overwhelmed by nonsense had options

@raevenlyrites is my witchblr that I never remember to post to

@artrefsforlove is where I keep art stuff, mostly cool pictures my wife might like to watercolor

@worldbuildingwedasks is a community hub for reblogging open asks for Worldbuilding Wednesday, and also recently just cool inspiring worldbuilding stuffs

and also @wip119 is technically still a thing? It started out as kind of like a writing advice shitposting silliness

3. How long have you been on tumblr? I had a tumblr back in college, @acorvidsnest, but then like school do it ate all my time and quite frankly I don't even remember what email it was under but there's my blast from the past if yall wanna go take a look

4. Do you have a queue tag? - Yes? But I don't remember what it is, because I never use it? queuex4 maybe? idk

5. What did you originally start this blog for? - To promote my web serial, In Search of Asylum. It didn't get the traction I wanted, but I learned a lot from it and I've made a lot of fun friends in the writeblr community so I'll count it as a win

6. Why did you choose your icon? - It me! I very rarely feel like I look like myself in pictures, but the photo this sketch was based on really nails it (even though my hair doesn't look like that anymore)

7. Why did you choose your header? - Because my tumblr is my brain on a plate. Fun fact: Those are my hands and that is a real jello brain I made

8. What's your post with the most notes? - Lords I don't even know. Probably one where I tried to make someone else's post funnier though, like Lawful Chaotic or We Do Not Write in Notebooks (the brogle uquiz is doing pretty good atm too)

9. How many followers do you have? - somewhere over 2k? I try not to look so I don't obsess about it going up and down

10. How many blogs do you follow? - somewhere over 2k as well? Most of my followers came from follow backs when I just went through writeblr posts and went on a massive following spree :P

11. Have you ever made a sh*tpost? - I don't have the tag #raevenly shitposts for nothing

12. How often do you use Tumblr every day? - as often as I get bored

13. Have you ever had a fight with another blog? - Nah. I don't engage, I block

14. How do you feel about 'you have to reblog this' posts? - Nobody tells me what to do

15. Opinion on tag games? - love em, but it always takes me FOREVER to get around to doing them. Also I kind of loathe the long reblog chains of them, they're dash destorying and they make me think I'm getting comments on my stuff only to realize they're actually talking to someone else who's added on :(

16. Opinion on ask games? - Love em, gimmie dem asks! You don't even have to care about the answer just copy/paste a question and go on anon. You'll make someone's day just sending them a random ask :)

17. Which of your mutuals is Tumblr famous? - oh lord i have no idea

18. Do you have a crush on any of your mutuals? - I am in love with @loopyhoopywrites's creativity. Does that count?

I covered the Witcher Fenris WIP here! XD I don’t have an excerpt to share yet, but I will reveal a bit more about the au.

Both Anders and Fenris have more to their stories than simply being a bard and a Witcher.

For Fenris, his background before joining the order and then during his training with the Witchers features heavily in the way he views the world. His wariness of sorceresses is well known in monster hunting circles, and his tensions with the Lodge come from more than just a healthy fear of magic.

For Anders, his life can be summarily defined by the prejudices the coup on Thanedd brought about. He has more secrets than most in his profession (and bards are known to be vast fonts of untold tales), and his willingness to keep to the shadows and bring others into the spotlight is incredibly telling. Suffice to say, he has issues of his own to deal with.

They both bring to the table more baggage than is probably healthy. But, over time, they somehow come to manage it together.

The Fenders Apocalypse AU is more post apocalyptic than anything.

In a world taken over by a virus of the chantry’s making, abominations run rampant throughout the land. Nobody is quite sure of how the virus came about, only that the Templars, pushing the boundaries of control and cruelty in regards to caging mages, created a drug that backfired spectacularly on the unsuspecting general populace. The end result? A Thedas ravaged by demons. Every elf and human, no matter their status as a mage, prone to the ill effects of an irreversible illness should they be infected.

Queue Fenris, never having met Hawke or the Kirkwall Crew, making his way through a post apocalyptic Thedas blissfully free of company. That is, until he accidentally saves the life of a blonde haired mage.

Shit only gets more chaotic and a lot less lonely from there.

The Circle!Anders Epistolary follows canon in all aspects except one: Anders never escaped the circle a final time.

After his time in solitary confinement, it wasn’t Karl Thekla that got transferred to the Kirkwall Circle, but instead Anders.

The conditions in the Gallows are horrible, and every day it just gets worse and worse. Already recovering from the torture inflicted on him by the Kinloch Circle, Anders is slowly drowning in a hopelessness he can’t seem to escape. So, on a whim, he starts writing letters.

He does it to be heard, not to be responded to. And so he sends them out in secret to the same address, over and over, never expecting a reply or a rescue. Never expecting anything but a listening ear and maybe, impossibly, the knowledge that someone may come to understand.

Little does he know just who is receiving them.

For Anders the Healer, I actually have an excerpt! It’s for a promptfill about Fenris’s lyrium deteriorating after Danarius passes and Anders noticing. He decides to do something about it, ever the healer.

“There’s something wrong with the elf.”

“What?” Sai raises his head from the log he’d been leaning against, hair sleep mussed and eyes half opened. “Who?”

“The grumpy one.” Anders jerks his chin at the top of the hill, the thick rug of grass made silver by the moonlight. Atop it Fenris dances with his sword. His bare skin glistens with sweat, muscles corded and tight - too tight - rippling with every harsh, jagged movement.

Sai stares for a long moment, seemingly hypnotized by the scene.

Anders scowls. “Sai!” he snaps, and the other man jumps, “are you listening?”

“Wh- yeah...yeah.” He shakes his head like a wet dog, a yawn stretching his lips. “Look, Anders, I know you the hate the guy, but-”

Anders cuts him off with a shake of the head. “It’s more than that. Can’t you see it? He’s off - he’s been off for weeks now.”

“Maker, please, it’s barely two in the morning. Why are you even awake?”

“Because there’s something wrong with him, can’t you tell?”

“‘S this about the cliff incident? Because you both swore you’d put that behind you.”

“No, Sai.” Anders sighs. “Nevermind. Go back to sleep.” He almost lets the conversation end right then and there, but then Sai begins to rest his head on the log again and Anders chops a hand through the air. “Nu-uh. Tent. Now.”

“Oh, come on!”

“Now, Sai. I will not treat you for back pain in the morning because you couldn’t move the three feet to your bedroll.” He watches closely as the other mage reluctantly staggers to his feet, narrowing his eyes in warning when he receives a petulant look. “Off with you,” he orders, waiting until Sai’s broad back has disappeared between the flaps of his tent to relax again.

Then he rests his head in his hands and lets out a long, weary breath.

i’m back wohooo

might’ve passed that exam, also finally getting all the tattoos i ever wanted and more, also ikon comeback tomorrow!! i don’t know how to feel but i think the songs will be good and they deserve all the love, i hope hanbin comes back properly soon. there are so many other free artists he could collab with so yes. did not manage to stay away from music, instead discovered so much more. prepare for spam lol. maybe i’ll put in all in the queue to take it slower. also i got new followers hello if you need a friend i’m here ♥ decided to sit this bts comeback out bc it’s all too much but loooved black swan so i will try harder lol. my major is hiphop is so chaotic (they didn’t even announce what the winner gets) but it’s cute to see all the contestants being friends when they’re supposed to be enemies. also okasian has the scariest eyes ever, i don’t know the guy but sth’s wrong xD and mino’s skin is unbelievably flawless how does he do that. tmitmi. ok maybe that’s all for now :)

I fucking love these so much guys, it’s ridiculous. Was tagged a while ago by @accio-stark, which thank you thank you, but October is a shit month until Halloween, so it took me some time to gather myself enough to do it.

Rules: answer 30 questions and tag 20 blogs you would like to get to know better.

7. Favorite bands: Okay, I mostly do show tunes these days, so I’mma go with musicals instead, kay? Current favorite musicals to listen to are ‘Newsies’ (Broadway version, tho the movie version is also a favorite), ‘Finding Neverland’, ‘Into the Woods’, ‘Chess’, and ‘Songs for a New World’.

8. Favorite solo artists: Reba McEntire (ALWAYS <3), Kelsea Ballerini, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, apparently any country singer with a ‘Mc’ at the start of their last name...

9. Song stuck in my head: ‘Not While I’m Around’ from Sweeney Todd

10. Last movie I watched: Iron Man 3

11. Last show I watched: Um, currently immersed in ‘Press Buttons ‘N Talk’ episodes because they make me giggle and I’ve been having a shitty month. Other than that, I guess Teen Wolf? Maybe? I did watch ‘The Lead’ with Jake Tapper a couple days ago, I think.

12. When did I create my blog: Uh. Like. A year and a half ago. Ish? I think?

13. What do I post/reblog: Looots of Marvel/Tony Stark stuff, cat-related silliness, anything that catches my eye. I’d like to call it an ‘eclectic’ blog, but I think it probably verges into ‘wildly, chaotically disorganized’ instead.

14. Last thing I googled: … stuff. Research stuff. For smut writing reasons. Who wants to know?

15. Do I have any other blogs: Just one that I made a shit-ton of content for then never set up a queue to post because I am ruled by my anxiety, depression and laziness.

16. Do I get asks: Sometimes prompts that I take too long to answer, otherwise not as many as I’d like. I’m not super good at coming off approachable/friendly/interesting. XD

17. Why I chose my url: Well, I’d started a ‘Tahlruil’ blog (which is my username pretty much anywhere else unless someone else gets it first) years and years ago, but when I wanted to really start one up and actually, you know, use it, I’d forgotten the password and no longer had access to the email that I’d made it with. I figured it was easier to just start a new one. ‘Tahlruil’ basically means ‘noble blade’, and ‘Tahlreth’ is almost as fun with a meaning of ‘arcane blade’, and I figured it was similar enough to kinda be a bit more obviously connected to my AO3 Tahlruil account.

18. Following: Uh… couple few hundred?

19. Followers: Like. 300. Ish? Mebbe?

21. Lucky number: 8 is the best number and anyone who doesn’t agree can fight both me and my OCD.

22. Instruments: I can play the trumpet (sort of, though my technique used to revolve around ‘mash lips really hard against the mouthpiece to play higher notes), and because of that I can play the baritone/euphonium (preferred instrument that is not my vocal chords, because despite it’s awkward appearance it’s one sexy-sounding instrument) and the tuba. Could manage the trombone if the fucking positions weren’t so confusing/hit or miss. I can get pleasant-ish sounds out of a clarinet and a flute, but I’m shit at remembering the positions for those too - I’m a simple girl. I like three buttons with maaaybe a fourth when I’m feeling fancy, lol. I can also stumble through simple things on the piano, but I’m pretty shit at it - mostly use that for learning songs for singing. I FUCKING LOVE TO SING, OKAY, so that’s my absolute favorite instrument. I’m… okay at it? People tell me I’m pretty good, but I think I suck, so I feel like ‘okay’ is a nice average of the two positions that I’m comfortable claiming.

23. What am I wearing: Pink and gray plaid pajama pants and a white, pink and gray shirt with ‘love’ on it that I bought one day when I needed to work but didn’t have any clean shirts that were appropriate to wear in.

24. Dream job: I don’t even fucking know, man.

25. Dream trip: I REALLY want to go to Ireland, maybe Scotland, England and Wales .

26. Favorite food: Rice pilaf.

27. Nationality: American.

28. Favorite song right now: Uhmmm… probably ‘Stilettos’ by Kelsea Ballerini

29. Last book I read: I thiiiink it was ‘Honor’s Paradox’ by P.C. Hodgell, who is a fucking amazing author that everyone should read.

30. Fictional Universe you’d want to join: Uhhhhm. MCU, Dragon Age, or the world of the Kencyrath that is detailed in the series by P.C. Hodgell? Maaaybe one of the universes created by Tamora Pierce? Dude, idk, because like… I’d end up being one of the boring ‘normal’ people and things historically Do Not Go Well for them in all of the universes that I find compelling.
