Fragile Longing is one my most anticipated books because:

Characters from the Chicago Outfit. Yes, the Outfit is my favorite and I love it when Cora Reilly writes new books about it.

Age-gap, arranged-marriage, Mafia Romance. I’m living for these tropes. Especially mafia romance novels.

Danilo and Sofia. I’m curious, y’all.

It’s probably me, not the book. I probably expected a lot because I’m disappointed. Alright, let’s talk about it. Fragile Longing is all about Sofia Mione (Dante Cavallaro’s niece) and Danilo Mancini (The Underboss in Indianapolis).

Sofia is an amazing woman. Though she’s not as fierce as the other characters in the series, she’s strong in her own ways. I still admire her for being such a sweetheart. She’s caring and understanding. I can’t honestly blame her for her insecurities since she was forced to grow up after she’s been promised to marry her sister’s ex-fiancé. I like Sofi, what I hate is her situation where she thinks she’s the consolation prize and she can’t be more that what Serafina is.

Danilo on the other hand is an asshole. Sorry not sorry. He’s one of the reasons why I didn’t like this book. Though he was able to redeem himself in the later part of the book, still it’s not enough. I hated how Danilo still fucks around despite being engaged to Sofia. Why not get that opportunity to get to know your fiance more (I didn’t mean it in a sexual way, of course) than fucking blondes all over your territory? Ok, enough of his negative traits. Danilo is a good brother and a good son. He cares a lot for Emma and his family.

Cora Reilly’s writing style improved, I observed it when I read Twisted Pride, Sweet Temptation and Bound by the Past. However, I didn’t like how this book was written. Rereading Serafina’s kidnapping and betrayal in different POVs is annoying and redundant. I know it plays a vital role in the story but I’ve read it in Twisted Pride, then in Bound in the Past, I don’t need to read it again in Fragile Longing. Now I’m expecting to read it again in Samuel and Emma’s book.

There should be a lot of opportunities in building and developing Sofia and Danilo’s character and their relationship as a couple if the first part of the book isn’t about Serafina’s kidnapping and betrayal, the aftermath of it, Danilo’s anger towards Remo Falcone and Sofia trying really hard to be her sister.

Anyway, they were able to redeem themselves in the later part of the book but it was… I dunno, rushed? The epilogue was cute tho.

I enjoyed reading the last few parts of the book, though. I loved how Danilo made up for all the times he treated Sofia badly. I liked The Koi fish named Takeda, the dog named Poof and the tabby cat. LOL!

I also love Anna Cavallaro’s character. She’s Valentina and Dante’s child through and through. She’s Sofia’s exact opposite and I love their friendship. Also curious about her relationship with Santino. I honestly want her to end up with Santino but the idea of her being with a politician is also good since we still don’t know what kind of man Clifford Clark is. Also curious about Leonas Cavallaro’s story. I wonder if he’ll end up with an outsider or someone from other Familias or from the Outfit? Ugh! I’m excited to read books about Dante and Valentina’s children. Can we have their book right freaking noooooow? Kidding! But not really. They are the only characters I’m looking forward to in the 2nd gen. And yes, Nevio and Greta’s respective stories, too.

I also love Emma. I love her relationship with her brother and the friendship she, Anna and Sofia have. Emma deserves the best and Samuel MUST give her the love she deserves.

So that’s Fragile Longing. Still looking forward to the rest of the books that Cora will write about her mafia world.

And Sofia has a grandmother, she looks like around 27-35 years but is in real +1800. Sofias mother looks like 25 years old but is of course older she is born around the baroque time. Her father looks like 28-32 years in real +100. Her mothers Family is a old noble family, her fathers Family is also a noble Family.

1 - BENETTON CERCA IL MANAGER DEL FUTURO

Edizione, la cassaforte della famiglia Benetton, si prepara alla fase 2 della sua storia con un riassetto strategico che lasci definitivamente alle spalle la dolorosa e complessa vicenda del Ponte Morandi.

Il momento attuale, però, è ancora di transizione e, dunque, con la nomina del nuovo cda, la famiglia ha confermato il fidato Gianni Mion alla presidenza del gruppo. I suoi poteri esecutivi passeranno però, entro un anno, al nuovo amministratore delegato. Una figura nuova e forte, ancora da individuare, che possa far ripartire il gruppo nel dopo-Aspi.

Al fianco di Mion in cda (in carica 3 anni) i cugini Alessandro Benetton, Christian Benetton e Franca Bertagnin Benetton, figli dei fondatori del gruppo. Nel nuovo board entrano Ermanno Boffa, Giovanni Ciserani, Claudio De Conto e Vittorio Pignatti-Morano Campori. L'idea, sulla quale la famiglia sarebbe compatta è di trovare a una figura forte per dar modo a Edizione di non fare soltanto l'azionista, ma di intervenire nelle aziende che controlla senza delegare ai rispettivi manager.

Così l'assemblea, andata in scena ieri a Treviso, rappresenta una sorta di conto alla rovescia: entro un anno la guida sarà in mani nuove e le strategie delle controllate cambieranno. Nelle scorse settimane il nome ritenuto più probabile sembrava quello di Angelos Papadimitriou, ma il manager greco è stato recentemente nominato co-ceo di Pirelli; in pista, tuttavia, ci sarebbero altre figure di spicco per una holding che è senza ad dall'uscita di Marco Patuano.

Al nuovo ceo, la sfida di ricalibrare il business di Edizione, che detiene il 30,2% di Atlantia e che nel 2020 ha scelto di non distribuire dividendi dopo aver chiuso il 2019 in calo a causa del consolidamento della spagnola Abertis (il risultato netto è sceso da 184 a 55 milioni, su ricavi che invece sono saliti a 17,92 miliardi).

Aspettando l'ad, ieri il cda ha comunque ribadito, in una nota, che Atlantia, mantiene la sua centralità nella strategia futura di Edizione. In merito al dossier più delicato, Autostrade per l'Italia (Aspi) dovrebbe presentare domani il nuovo piano economico finanziario al ministero delle Infrastrutture.

Si tratta di un passo fondamentale per stabilire il valore della società che potrebbe andare da 6 a 10 miliardi. Cdp dovrebbe sottoscrivere un aumento di capitale di Aspi vicino ai 4 miliardi per avere una quota del 33%.

Intanto si starebbe sondando la disponibilità di diversi fondi, per acquisire una quota del 22% che verrà poi conferita in un veicolo che controlli il 55% della nuova società.

L'operazione, così strutturata, dovrebbe permettere ad Atlantia di ridurre il debito nella holding e ad Aspi di beneficiare teoricamente dell'entrata di Cdp, con una riduzione del rischio regolatorio. «Se questi numeri fossero confermati la valutazione pre-money di Aspi sarebbe di circa 6,1-8,1 miliardi, cioè una valore implicito di Atlantia di 15,5-18 euro per azione» hanno calcolato gli analisti di Equita. Ieri li titolo Atlantia ha chiuso la seduta a Piazza Affari in rialzo dello 0,31% a 14,60 euro.

2 - GIOVANI BENETTON CRESCONO IN EDIZIONE

La seconda generazione della famiglia Benetton fa quadrato e all'unanimità, a dispetto dello statuto della holding che vietava ai parenti non in linea diretta di entrare in cda, nomina in consiglio Ermanno Boffa, genero di Gilberto Benetton.

I giovani Benetton rimuovono poi tutti i consiglieri che hanno ruoli in altre società del gruppo, tra cui il presidente e l'ad di Atlantia, per segnare un nuovo confine tra la stanza dei bottoni e le controllate.

Infine, i quattro rami della famiglia nominano all'unanimità tre amministratori indipendenti e di standing, come Giovanni Ciserani (ex P&g e nel cda di Angelini), Claudio De Conto (ex Pirelli e ad Artsana-Chicco) e Vittorio Pignatti-Morano (ex Lehman e Mediobanca).

Gianni Mion viene confermato alla presidenza ed eserciterà le deleghe finché la famiglia non avrà trovato un nuovo ad, che dovrà aver maturato una solida esperienza industriale in Italia e all'estero. Settimane fa il primo nome della lista era Angelos Papadimitrieu ( che invece ha accettato il ruolo di co-ceo Pirelli), adesso in Edizione c'è una rosa ristretta di manager e si lavora per selezionarne uno condiviso entro settembre.

Gugu deixa herança para filhos e testamento não menciona a esposa

Nesta quinta-feira, 19, a assessoria de Gugu Liberato colocou um fim nas especulações a respeito da herança do apresentador e emitiu comunicado à imprensa esclarecendo como ficou a divisão dos bens patrimoniais do comunicador.

Segundo a nota, o comunicador “deixou testamento, onde expressa suas últimas vontades e dispõe dos seus bens moveis, imóveis, materiais e imateriais, contemplando seus familiares e principalmente, em quase sua totalidade os seus três filhos, João Augusto, Marina e Sofia”.

Porém, como apenas o garoto é maior de idade, Gugu nomeou como inventariante e curadora legal das gêmeas – de 15 anos de idade – Aparecida Liberato, sua irmã, “por reconhecê-la apta e capaz de levar a bom termo a liquidação do testamento e de sua expressa vontade”.

Ainda segundo a nota, advogados têm procurado a esposa de Liberato e mãe dos três garotos, Rose Miriam Di Matteo, para que a médica seja representada por eles na justiça “ocultando o fato de que uma eventual disputa seria dela, Rose, contra seus filhos, reconhecidos herdeiros”.

Tal testamento foi lido na presença de tabelião e notário, com a presença da mãe de seus filhos, seus filhos e familiares de Gugu, sendo que naquela data, o testamento foi por todos reconhecido e assinado espontaneamente, inclusive por Rose Miriam Di Matteo. O irmão de Rose estava presente.

Ocorre que após tal ato legal e solene, a mãe dos herdeiros, Rose Miriam Di Matteo e João Augusto, filho do apresentador, foram levados por seus parentes, às 9 horas da noite, a residência de um outro advogado, que não obstante, mesmo sabendo que a mesma já havia constituído advogado para si e para seus filhos, foi levada a assinar uma outra procuração, constituindo um segundo advogado, Dr. Nelson Willis & Associados. João Augusto se recusou a assinar qualquer papel.

Ciente posteriormente de que tal fato poderia ocasionar problemas ao espólio, o que fatalmente acarretaria uma disputa judicial entre mãe e filhos, houve por bem, por parte de Rose Miriam, redigir e enviar carta de punho próprio revogando e retirando a representação deste segundo advogado. Isto posto, percebe-se que a indução e mal aconselhamento está vindo de terceiros não contemplados no aludido testamento. Terceiros estes que usam de má fé para criar problemas constituindo novos advogados com a única finalidade de obstruir a vontade legitima de Antonio Augusto Moraes Liberato, tão bem expressa em seu testamento, que por legítimo é incontestável.

Outrossim, vale ressaltar que desde o momento da triste fatalidade, Rose Miriam Di Matteo vem sendo assediada por inúmeros advogados, tanto nos EUA, como no Brasil, que por vários meios e argumentações sugerem representá-la, ocultando o fato de que uma eventual disputa seria, dela Rose, contra seus filhos, reconhecidos herdeiros. O apresentador nomeou como inventariante e curadora legal dos filhos menores, sua própria irmã, Aparecida Liberato, por reconhecê-la apta e capaz de levar a bom termo a liquidação do testamento e de sua expressa vontade.

Dr. Carlos Eduardo Farnesi Regina, por mais de 20 anos advogado de Antonio Augusto Moraes Liberato, foi o responsável pela leitura do testamento, reunião esta registrada em cartório e ata pública e nesta data reconhecido por Rose Miriam e seus filhos como seu legítimo advogado, sendo que este reconhecimento veio a ser reforçado posteriormente por carta de punho próprio escrita por Rose e também pelo depoimento de seu filho, João Augusto, maior de idade, que recusou-se a assinar procuração para o referido segundo advogado, Dr. Nelson Willis & Associados, no mesmo dia da abertura do testamento.”

TRAGÉDIA

Gugu Liberato morreu aos 60 anos de idade, na última sexta-feira, 22, após sofrer morte cerebral em decorrência de um acidente doméstico em sua mansão em Orlando, nos Estados Unidos. O apresentador da Record TV subiu no forro do telhado para trocar o filtro do ar-condicionado quando caiu de uma altura de 4 metros e bateu a cabeça.

A família do comunicador prestou os primeiros socorros prontamente e chamou uma ambulância, porém Gugu chegou ao hospital já em estado grave, a ponto de os médicos abortarem qualquer possibilidade de cirurgia.

Após avaliação de três médicos, incluindo um neurologista brasileiro, Liberato não apresentou atividade cerebral nas 48 horas após o acidente e sua morte cerebral foi anunciada.
