i need a book or show or something where there's a character who's touch averse and they DONT:

• have a "character development" arc that is evidenced by the fact that they learn to let people hug/touch them

• have a past history of abuse and that's the reason they're touch averse

• have one of those scenes where a character hugs them and they're startled at first, but then melt into the hug

im tired of the idea that touch averse folks need to be fixed or need to change. im tired of the idea that touch averse folks can't be in romantic relationships because they don't want to kiss or hug. im tired of the stereotype that they have to go through some huge character arc to stop being touch averse. the word normalize is overused but ffs NORMALIZE TOUCH AVERSE FOLKS. they don't need to change!!
