Immortal Samsara is in my top 5 favorite dramas of all time and it's because Cheng Yi and his acting. He made me think he was ACTUALLY in love with her. He was so passionate and hot.

How manifold are Your works
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God. When the sun rises, they gather together and lie down in their dens.Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all.The earth is full of Your possessions— This great and wide sea, in which are innumerable teeming things, living things both small…

Jesper takes a deep breath. “The treasure room was completely unguarded, all right? I mean- all right, maybe there were a few men at the entrance, but they weren’t paying any attention to me. I found this old thing half-squashed under a pile of bird cages or something, thought I could sell the stones for a few kroner- actually, I thought they were glass at first-”
Thorn raises an eyebrow.
“I’m getting to the point, Thorn, don’t rush me. Anyway, long story short, one of the guards woke up, he caught me with the thing, he started screaming, the other guards woke up, and it turns out this old piece of scrap metal is a priceless coronet that got lost during the reign of their first king. They had this whole prophecy about it, you know? So I fix it up for them, polish it and everything, easy- and next thing I know, I'm-"
Edvin nods. "His Most Ineffable and Sublime Excellency Jesper the Magnificent, Grand Herald and Sovereign Arbiter of the Exalted Beryl Coronet, Illuminator of the Kingdom's Resplendent Virtues, Pinnacle of Majesty, Beacon of Nobility, and Lord Paramount of the Realm, whose Unassailable Honor and Incomparable Grace transcend the bounds of mortal comprehension."
Stig lets out a low whistle of amazement. No one is sure if it's because of Jesper's story or Edvin's memory.
“Well, diplomatic sallies should be a breeze now,” Hal says slowly. “We’ve got the Royal Beacon of Sublime Paramount or whatever you’re called on our side already.”
Thorn crosses his arms. “There won’t be any diplomatic sallies until His Most Inadvertently Regal Eminence finishes the dishwashing back at camp.”
Jesper sighs deeply.

Okay, so. Since I haven't posted this already, this is the main idea I had for DreamCycle before I start writing it:
Basically, DreamCycle is a DreamTale alternate in which, rather than both Nightmare and Dream being Guardians, they are instead appointed Gods, the sons of the original Gods. Other characters I imagined would be of similar origin in different fashion would be Ink, Error, generally just the OutCodes. I'm gonna dive into Sovereign Rift (SR), which is a variant of DreamCycle in which Nm and Dream are Kings, rather than just normal Gods protecting the sun and moon. In SR, rather than there being different universes which you can jump between, all the AUs are instead a whole bunch of neighboring countries. (Shhh it's not Empireverse. They were also all born out of the original Gods, such as Nim, who will be going under the alias 'Gaia' for this.)
(The main Gods in this case would be the parent of each respective God. YES, the CQ siblings are canon to this idea, so Geno, Fresh and Error all have the same creator-mom. Reaper has a dad. Ink has his adoptive caretakers because his actual mom is very dead, and very much THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE????? like bro. OP much? Yada Yada you know this part)
The twins were created with their mother's magic and instructed to care for the country of Ignicia as their mother tended to separate places at the same time before falling ill to erosion. (The cause of that erosion is a plot point later on, so I'll explain that when I get to it.)
Nightmare and Dream were created with two separate elements, both needed to spark life. The warmth of the sun's rays and the waves of the water. Sun and Moon, created to rule day and night. Nightmare was a drop of the same energy he could control, water, a goopy little puddle, ice cold. Dream was a ball of hot, hot fire. The two were each given an apple at their birthplace, told that the magic-infested fruit would build them a body just akin to their mother's, who was a remnant of the tree of which the fruit had been plucked.
(This basically granted them the ability to freely switch between two forms: One based on the apple, a fire-like figure for Dream, and the usual goop for Nightmare and then their 'passive' states, being the one they usually used to not expend as much energy keeping their magic protection up.)
Dream, being only seconds older than Nightmare, was awarded the title crown prince. Despite his usual childish nature, he proved to be a good leader as they both grew. With their mother growing more and more absent as years passed by, they became forced to take the responsibilities of the kingdoms into their own hands. Nightmare was working hard at being Dream's right-hand-man, but struggling under the apparent distaste the people had for him. Dream was reveling in the glory of his throne, but often was crushed under the sheer weight of the heavy crown he was appointed.
The main plot point is the twist that during a friendly duel turned traitorous battle, there's the first 'incident'. But rather than Nightmare turning on Dream and slaughtering a village as what happens in the original universe, Dream lunges a spear lit afire right through his skull without thinking. Then he feels the most guilt he ever has within his life. It wasn't meant to hit him, it was meant to scare him. But now his brother was dusting hurting because of him, so he immediately took to trying to heal him like he usually did when they fought. Except Nightmare refused. He ran off, his skull becoming slathered in a gooey substance as his vision faded. He wound up back at his own temple, dunking his head in the healing waters of the moon, vowing to never forget the day.
Later the same year, he fled the country, instead gathering the castaways, the forgotten and the unwanted by the strict leaders of Dream's Empire Ignicia, creating his own nation: Oscuro, Kingdom of Darkness. Swallowed by evil. Nightmare would forever be an empty shell, only half of what was of his childhood self, but his Moon remained in a form which obscured his past and hid his hurt parts. This meant war.
Through the rubble of the war marched out many other separate neutral parties, either wishing for peace or for their own benefit through taking no sides of the large war.
Such include, for the Gods:
Geno, Omnipotence and Time
Reaper, Death
Error, Destruction
Ink, Creation
Fresh, Illusion (Parasitism)
Other third parties could include for example Swap (Revolution and revolt, justice) or characters like Cross and Orphic, but that's the main idea
The main leading plot points would be:
- The rebellion against the 'Universal Law' with humans not being able to talk to Gods
- Dream's obsession with power (Savior complex and narcissism that was engraved in him after being told he's this great ruler his entire childhood and needing to meet up with those standards, else he lose his purpose in life. Yeah, self-esteem issues who?)
- Nightmare's desire for revenge ("You're not my brother anymore" is def gonna be said at some point and I will undoubtedly cry.)
- The consequences of the war among the people and other nations (universes)
- Ink's non-emotional state and how it changes with time
- Error learning to discern right from wrong because he's a nervous, angry wreck throughout the thing
- The breakage of the "Universal Law" resulting in the tree being killed and Gaia nearly dying bc of it, instead burying herself underground until it became so much that the wilting tree's instinct turn on her own sons to absorb the magic that is being taken away because of mistreatment of the Gods
-Fresh's subplot of creating a whole cult of people he can feed off of through his parasite
- Geno's prophecy of doom because he's seen wayyy too much, poor boy needs a break
- Nightmare creating his own nation after leaving Dream's in reluctance to his rule and taking in refugees who don't think they're treated right (Nightmare's gang would be his highest ranked generals ofc)
I THINK THAT'S ALL. I spend a reeeeealllyyyy long time on this. But I'm excited about what you guys might think! Me and a close friend are working on starting the actual book so we might release an actual start to the story at some point, if ya'll want it <3333
Thanks for reading!!

The Lord: Our Safe Place in Life and Covering in Death
A miktam of David.
1 Keep me, O God, for I am safe in You. 2 I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord. All the good things I have come from You.” 3 As for those in the land who belong to You, they are the great ones in whom is all my joy. 4 Those who have traded for another god bring many troubles on themselves. I will not take part in their altar gifts of blood. And I will not take their names upon my lips.
5 The Lord is all that I am to receive, and my cup. My future is in Your hands. 6 The land given to me is good. Yes, my share is beautiful to me.
7 I will give honor and thanks to the Lord, Who has told me what to do. Yes, even at night my mind teaches me. 8 I have placed the Lord always in front of me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be moved. 9 And so my heart is glad. My soul is full of joy. My body also will rest without fear. 10 For You will not give me over to the grave. And You will not allow Your Holy One to return to dust. 11 You will show me the way of life. Being with You is to be full of joy. In Your right hand there is happiness forever. — Psalm 16 | New Life Version (NLV) New Life Version Holy Bible Copyright © 1969, 2003 by Barbour Publishing, Inc. This opening with the Sovereign is basically a bit of reminder flash cards for what's going on in the Guardians series right now. Covers all the important points that the movie's going to go over:
Peter has an unusual parentage that he doesn't fully understand.
Gamora and Nebula have a strained and antagonistic relationship. Nebula got away at the end of the last film but we pick right up with her capture here.
Rocket's a short-sighted prick who makes questionable choices.
Groot died at the end of the last movie and is a twiggy baby now.
Drax exists.
It's a bit over-expositiony, especially when the Sovereign queen starts randomly worldbuilding about her culture in the middle of a mercenary contract resolution. Nobody asked, lady. But overall, it serves its purpose of reminding us where we're at with these characters.

The idea of 'The Sovereign' and this storyline in Wonder Woman by Tom King reminds me of Hydra Captain America and the Secret Empire by Nick Spencer.
#wonder woman#i didn't want to discuss this but the sovereign really makes me angry in just how lazy he is as a character#and this whole idea of a 'secret king' running America#reeks the same as 'what if Captain America was a Hydra agent all along'#not only does the conspiracy that's been created upend a lot of what's already been established in WW lore#but this is also just a lazy kind of character creation that just takes everything Diana is and makes it opposite#the Sovereign or is he a Bizarro Wonder Woman?#like Superman and Lex aren't wholly opposites their goals are the same it's their motivation that's different#Lex 'helps' because he wants to look good and get praise and money he does good for selfish reasons#meanwhile Superman does good because it's the right thing to do#the sovereign looks and feels shallow#it's trying hard to be edgy but it's cringe i mean 'lasso of lies'?#it feels like it's gonna be revealed that there wasn't ever going to be a history where the sovereign and his ilk ruled America#but someone gave this man the lasso of lies and he created his new reality off the old one LIKE when Cap was rewritten to be Hydra#and we know he gets locked up so what is the actual stakes in this story we know he gets defeated#so what makes this story important?#like wonder woman earth one did this whole arc better and the main villain being max lord aka ares made more sense#the first 6 or so issues should have been on working towards unraveling amazonian influence and power in America because a group of men#see them as a threat to American superiority if this is the direction you want to go in#snapping your fingers and fastfowarding for a first issue is not the in media res you think it is#im ranting but ww has been one of mh fav series the past few years and now#for the first time in a long time#i have to not read it because this whole storyline sucks#dc comics#i can't wait for whoever comes next to undo what's happening now because if there's one consistent thing about WW is she will be reinvented

Submariner Summer 31
Bueno, llegue tarde y en las copas pero, lets do #SubmarinerSummer read through 31, con Tales to Astonish 97: The Sovereign And The Savages! Hulk cover this ish. Title Page gives us Namor still captured by Plunderer in the Savage Land. Roy Thomas on scripts, and Werner Roth on pencils, Dan Adkins on inks, Gaspar Saldino on letters
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Namor stays defiant, and Plunderer catches a crush and tries to impress sempai, giving his villain monologue: origin story, and details on his vibra-gun powered by "Plunderstone" (actually Antarctic Vibranium). Also, calls him "my precious prince" Chico got it bad, no?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, there's dangers in the Savage Land, one of which is natives, including the "swamp people" (yo no se tampoco) who now decide to raid Plunderer's Skull Island. One even gets their hands on a vibra-gun. He can't have that, so he sends his minions out to chase them off
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's all Namor needed to break loose, and he sets to teaching Plunderer a lesson about catching the tiger by the tail by catching him by the cape. Imperius Rex!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plunderer tries desperately to grab a vibra-gun, but Namor whips him good. Unfortunately just then the Swamp People chief drops a giant piece of debris into the proceedings, which lands right on Namor, saving Plunderer who thinks it must have killed Namor (not even close)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His base going up in flames, and his sub loaded up with vibra-guns and "plunderstone", he has his men board so they can begin conquering. But in the base, a broken pipe leaks water onto Namor, giving him what he needs to revive, and burst free, saving a life as he escapes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Namor returns the swamp person, and watches as Plunderer's sub departs. He decides to recover before pursuing. Bad call: In Atlantis, Dorma and Vashti saw think he allied with Plunderer to make war, and get the Atlantis Council of Elders to banish him! Coño Dorma, you don't play
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ironically, events have led Plunderer to decide that his conquests can only start in one place: Atlantis! So that's where he's headed, just as the Atlantean Council publicly declares Namor banished! Quite the situation we've got ourselves just in time for...cliffhanger!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cool twists and turns to the story of Namor's clash with the Plunderer, along with a couple classic Silver Age convenient coincidences. Very interesting seeing Dorma willing to act to put what she sees as Atlantis' well being over Namor, even if she's mistaken here. Queen shit 👸
But what will this mean as the Plunderer's vibra-weapons head to Atlantis? We shall see NEXT in Tales to Astonish #98: ...To Destroy The Realm Eternal!
