New X5’s price shocks, but so does power, handling …
Let’s just say I’m suffering from sticker shock thanks to BMW’s new X5 M60i.
I thought I’d gotten over such maladies after driving several SUVs in the past year eclipsing $100 grand. But those were all full-size (often 3-row) SUVS, including BMW’s exceptional X7. That one started at $105,000 and ended up at $114,000.

Before I started actively looking around for local stuff, I came across Wade’s.
Wade’s is an older establishment with an ever-changing menu. It’s a rather classic Southern meat-and-three. They do close rather early, [20:00 on Weekdays] which can be a pain, but if you can get there, they’re quite good. They’re open on weekdays and for Sunday brunch.
Oh, do be warned that their “fruit salad”* is ambrosia salad, not assorted fruit. This did take me a bit by surprise.
