Whoof! I've had this in my files for awhile! But here is my own design for Admiral Kotallo for my Wind Weaver AU! I changed the colors quite a lot and added a few more tweaks to preserve the Tenakth aspect in the design, since the original iteration that was heavily pulled from Candela Obscura's Raj Savarimuthu 😁

Perseverance! Rookie member of the EEG’s field research team. She’s a nerd-jock newbie who wants her idols to like her sooooooooooo bad.

-> Biology major with a particular interest in ecology! And bugs she likes bugs. And really all sorts of fun crawly invertebrates.

-> Perse is no stranger to the EEG headquarters, she’d been coming here for years before her official admission to the team! With two older relatives to shadow, she got to know a lot of the older members during her frequent visits. She greatly admires all of them.

-> She maintains some terrariums to raise and study copepods and amphipods. As well as several potted plants.

-> Perse has the same level of passion discussing a new and as of yet undocumented species as she does showing off the cute little house moth that almost gave Maven a heart attack.

-> She’s a hobbyist photographer with a Leica 1(A) 35mm. She’s into wildlife photography, and though her work isn’t very technically impressive, you don’t need to be an ace at something to have fun with it!

-> Perseverance maintains that she is NOT a nerd like her cousin, Maven, is a nerd.

-> She’s very athletic and energetic. She enjoys a daily jog, and plenty of exercise both indoors and outdoors. She loves going on hiking or full on camping trips with her uncle Phoenix.

-> She and Phoenix are very close. They’ve got a really easygoing and playful dynamic, with plenty of in-jokes built up between them. Phoenix was a constant in her early life, almost a third parent. He’d often visit to play with her and to babysit so her dads could enjoy a free evening every so often. He still dotes on her as much as Perse will let him get away with, but he respects that she values having a more adult relationship now. Still with plenty of fun, of course!

-> Perse and Maven weren’t really around each other as young kids, but became friends as they got a little older. Maven’s scientific leanings led to Perse finding and developing her own passion for study and exploration. Maven and the rest of her family have been nothing but supportive and nurturing, and she’s grateful for it. But she wants to make sure they know she’s not just a little girl anymore, and she’s ready to be the one offering support when needed.

-> She’s more than willing to get her hands dirty and to do ‘boring’, menial work. Especially if it means the people she looks up to see how diligent and cooperative she is :)

-> Perse is very needlessly competitive, though in a lighthearted sort of way. She doesn’t mind taking a loss, because it’s more about the challenge than the winning. It’s about the thrill. But don’t expect her to go easy on a challenger, because she still plays to win. Game night is a disaster

ok this is prolly a Dumbass question. but a lot of witchcraft ppl seem to use plants like datura, belladona, aconite, for their psychoactive properties in witchcraft- Are there any witchcraft people that just skip the whole plant foraging/gardening/obtaining bit and decide to just do shrooms or acid, or benadryl/dph i guess if one happens to just like deleriants? dph is rlly bad for health (is so bad) but tbh so is datura,.. though dph you can usually get at a convenince store. Or is it not considered spiritual if it’s a synthetic?

I'm sure there are practitioners who attempt to undergo Poison Path work using only synthetic drugs, but I don't really know anything about that, and so I can't speak to it very well.

I do, however, believe that working with the spirits of plants is at least as important to the process of such work as the psychoactive effects. I can grasp working with the spirit of Belladonna, but I have a much harder time envisioning myself trying to work with the spirit of a drugstore antihistamine. I also believe it's meaningful that many entheogenic plants (such as ones you listed here, including Psilocybin Mushrooms) have a longstanding traditional record of religious/cultic usage by initiated masters in their respective cultures. For these reasons, among others, I would not consider using synthetic, storebought drugs.

I also think there is a big difference between someone who messes around with party drugs and likes the idea of trying to get a bit spiritual with it, and someone who conscientiously dedicates themselves to Poison Path work. Altered brain chemistry can help the mind to see past certain filters and preconceptions, and it can also help one to look inward, but if there isn't a thoughtful, purposeful, and spiritual framework behind using an entheogenic substance, then it seems likely that it's mostly about getting high.

Finally, I want to add that, while substances such as datura are definitely dangerous, they are often used with far more reverence, caution, and frugality when approached by a serious practitioner. My husband is Oathbound to the Tutelary Spirit of Datura, but only once, under extraordinary circumstances, has that included using the plant entheogenically. He undertook the ritual with fearful respect and the utmost care, and it was an extremely meaningful experience for him, but it's not one he's likely to undertake again anytime soon. As he puts it, "She is a harsh teacher." I think part of the reason so many of these plants (particularly poisonous varieties of Ranunculaceae and Solanacea) are as harsh as they are is because they demand commitment and humility (along with self-defense, of course), which is why you pretty much hear only horror stories from most folks who attempt to use such substances lightly.

Charles Lindbergh

The cockpit in which Charles Lindbergh sat while piloting the first aircraft to make a solo non-stop transatlantic flight, the Spirit of Saint Louis, in May of 1927 was as pioneering as the flight itself.

It was an unusual design to an ordinary layout of a cockpit of that era. A periscope was used instead of a forward window. The Spirit was designed and built in San Diego to compete for the $25,000 Orteig Prize, which was offered by New York hotel owner Raymond Orteig to the first aviator to cross the Atlantic non-stop, either from New York to Paris or vice versa. Lindbergh, a U.S. Air Mail pilot, believed that a single-engine, single-seat, high-wing monoplane would provide him with the best chance of success.

Under his close supervision, the Spirit was designed and constructed in just 60 days. To enhance the centre of gravity and minimise the risk of being crushed in case of a crash, Lindbergh had the large main and forward fuel tanks placed in the front section of the fuselage, ahead of the pilot, with the oil tank acting as a firewall. As a result of this design choice, there was no front windshield, and forward visibility was limited to the side windows.

However, this arrangement didn't bother Lindbergh, as he was accustomed to flying in the rear cockpit of mail planes with mail bags in the front. When he needed to see forward, he would simply look out the sides. To address the need for some forward vision, Lindbergh enlisted the help of a former submarine serviceman to design and install a periscope. Inside the cramped cockpit, measuring 94 cm wide, 81 cm long, and 130 cm high, Lindbergh couldn't even stretch his legs.
