Awhile ago, my bestie @bellaswan-kinnie, who at the time was working on her thesis about female horror and mythology (which turned out amazing btw) made an observation regarding this scene:

In particular, she pointed out that the posters behind Mike, one for the 1975 film Jaws and the other for the stage adaptation of Little Shop of Horrors, might be there to offer additional queer-coding.

Vagina dentata, or toothed vaginas, is an old and multicultural myth, and "is rooted in the idea that the female body has hidden, dangerous secrets and that a man who has sex with a woman may risk castration."

This idea made it's way into modern horror, most literally in the 2007 film Teeth, a movie about a girl who literally has dick-biting teeth in her vagina, but the visual of a yonic monster with sharp teeth has appeared elsewhere, from Jaws, Little Shop of Horrors, to even the sarlacc pit of Star Wars.

So maybe Will just likes these two properties and has those posters in his room, but is it a coincidence that during a heart-to-heart with his gay boy bestie, where he says that he's been worrying too much about his girlfriend, that two symbols of fear of female sex is positioned squarely behind Mike's shoulders?

warnings: cyclist!reader x shiratorizawa (platonic), angst, reader is basically an aomine kinnie but with a little twist.

You thought you swore the day you started hating cycling would be the day the world ended, but look at where you stand now.

You closed the gap of opposing cyclists and widened it by 60 meters. Victory was at the pedal of your feet and everyone in the venue expected that you would stand on the 1st podium. When you only needed a few more pedals to the finish line and attain another medal and trophy to litter your house and room with, you stopped.

You slowed down, making spectators wonder why, it could have been fatigue and leg cramps, to which they let out disappointed sighs. You purposely slowed down, took a deep breath before letting out a long sigh.

"What are you doing?! The finish line's right here!"

"You can do it!!!"

People were yelling left to right, it started getting annoying. It no longer felt exciting to hear praises or "go for it" and "you can do it" cheers, nor did the look of the finish line getting nearer give you an adrenaline rush.

This was just pitiful. In the middle of a race, too!

The cyclist you sprinted your heart out with just a few minutes ago, whom you'd surpassed, passed by you instead. They didn't have their head up with a wide grin etched on their face, no, they had it turned to you as they finished first with a frown, out of seeming frustration but also worry.

As other cyclists pass by you, it no longer seemed exciting for them to stand before the stage to hear the awards ceremony. They felt insulted by your little show, like what, were you that great that you decided you didn't need another few medals and trophies because your house is basically filled with them?

Fortunately, they didn't hate you too much. Okay, maybe one did.

The three new faces who stand at the stage don't have a smile. They wanted to win fair and square, not be spared by you stopping just at two meters or three away from the finish line. It wouldn't have too much of a negative effect if you won either way, a huge grin etched on your face as you show off to the public, but no, neither happened. You didn't even look sad about losing, but I mean, you lost on purpose. So there's no point in acting sad about that.

"There are a few clubs and sports teams which still accept second and third years," Wakatoshi, your brother, said. Hoping that you would ask about Shiratorizawa's cycling team and announce that you would join.

"That's great but I know what you're thinking. I'm going to quit cycling anyway. Or, well, I have already quit. I'm going to spend my third year studying and getting into a good college." Stretching your long limbs, ultimately hitting his, and stood from the dining area.

"Is that really what you want?" He asked, a little worried about your statement. With the way you nodded so surely, he thought something bad was going to follow that his head started aching and his gut started twisting. Something was definitely going to happen.

Is it a storm? What if the house burns down? Even worse, what if he ends up quitting volleyball because he stopped loving it too? That thought scared him badly and he shook his head, making the ache worsen.

You soon disappeared from the ground floor of the house, now possibly in your room. Wakatoshi continued arranging a few papers before cooking dinner, as it is his turn this week.

"The gym is near the baseball field. You can barge inside, just try not to make a scene with any of the girls, especially, in the court." Wakatoshi reminded you again before you two separated ways. With him heading to his class and with you heading to yours, which was a few classrooms after his.

Your first day at Shiratorizawa went by rather quick. With absolutely nothing relating to cycling coming up, it didn't feel so long. For the first time, you weren't reeking of sweat and your peers weren't complaining about you and your love for your bike. Nobody was trying to assume weird shit like, "You're definitely in love, like romantically, with your bike. I bet you–" Yeah, things like that. But that just shows how much you loved your sport. Probably.

For the first time, you didn't come back from lunch with any tire marks. You weren't dirty and you still smelled fresh, like you had just gotten out of the shower.

Now that you think about it, it did hurt a little not to have any friends who would talk as passionately as you with cycling. You made a few friends in your class, but none of them made comments about how much you grew over the course of two weeks all because of your intense workout and how long you cycle a day, but of course, there's no way for them to make such comments.

They did ask about your height, how you reached 6' and if you were related to Wakatoshi.

"I used to cycle back then, had this crazy intense workout routine that I follow every single day, I also cycled every day. I swam a bit, as well, which helped me increase my height. And yes, Wakatoshi is my brother."

They errupted in ohh's and ahh's but nobody asked further.

Soon, it was the end of the day at school. You helped clean up the classroom and the halls before wandering around the school, making it your mission to memorize everything before walking to the volleyball gym Wakatoshi allowed you to loiter at.

But before you could enter, you caught a glimpse of the baseball field and after the baseball field was a track course for cyclists. Of course, you still loved cycling, you just stopped for a little while, and of course, you had to check it out.

@midoriima this was written about a year and a half ago maybe? i regret not putting the dates 😭 i started getting back into yowamushi pedal and became obsessed so i integrated that new passion with my all time faves: haikyuu.

What is even going on in the TR spin-off, I don't read it but every time I see panels of latest chapters ony dash it looks more and more insane

Alright anon get comfy cause I'm about to run you through everything you've missed!

Alright the story kicks off properly with Chifuyu being an edgy boi until he gets that beaten out of him by some guys and Baji rescues him (basically what happened in the main manga). Chifuyu then follows Baji home where he meets his milf mother, they share some food, Chifuyu attempts to get into toman but Baji tells him NO. Chifuyu then stalks Baji for a while and when I say stalks I mean it, he even follows him into the bathroom. They then have a moment in the rain where Baji beats the hell out of Chifuyu but accepts him as a friend, no toman yet though.

Chifuyu then straight up assumes he'll be the 2nd division vice captain even though he isn't even in the gang until he finds out Baji already has a vice captain. The 1st division plans to beat these guys in an abandoned hospital up but Chifuyu gets the awful brilliant idea of going early to this place and beating everyone himself. But he turns up and finds everyone already beaten, instead of doing the smart thing and leaving he heads inside and finds the sleeping captain of the rival gang, Ryusei Sato. They fight, we all fall in love with Ryusei and then PLOT TWIST! Ryusei isn't the captain of this gang he's the Baji's vice captain! He was just being a silly little guy. But he thinks Chifuyu is cute so asks Baji to let him into toman.

Chifuyu hates Ryusei on site and decides to stalk him while Peke J has his own adventure. Chifuyu follows Ryusei all the way to a hospital where Ryusei is visiting an injured 1st division member. Peke J then turns up and Ryusei decides to adopt him, this royally pisses Chifuyu off who starts arguing until Baji turns up and beats both Ryusei and Chifuyu.

Chifuyu still has his punk haircut at this point so Baji takes issue with that and tells him he has to change it. Chifuyu has a panic attack since HE CAN'T DISAPPOINT BAJI and tries to figure out what to do. Ryusei offers to help but just trolls him by making his hair worse. Chifuyu has another panic attack and runs into Baji he's like NO I'M UGLY DON'T LOOK BAJI but Baji styles Chifuyu's hair himself and tells him to never change it ever.

Then we've had too much peace for a while so some guys invade the school to get Baji. Baji can't fight since he loves his mum. So Ryusei and Chifuyu have to do it instead, Chifuyu slides down off the roof like a mad man and goes all ninja on them. Baji gets his arm broken. Ryusei's dark impulses come out and he nearly yeets a guy off the roof but Baji and Chifuyu stop him. We also find out Ryusei has ties with this rival gang.

Then Ryusei gets all sad over the dark impulses and that annoys Chifuyu so Chifuyu uses his fists as therapy and attempts to throw hands. He breaks Ryusei's toman uniform and Baji tells him not to. So then he attempts to throw hands with Ryusei again, they both fight. Somehow the therapy fists work and Ryusei cheers up. Ryusei then gets a new toman uniform and Chifuyu gets his first one, he has a Takemichi kinnie moment and cries over it.

Chifuyu goes over to Baji's house and helps him and his mother move some furniture about. Baji's mum brother zones them then tells Chifuyu to always look after Baji.

Then there are some imposter's running around pretending to be Mikey and Draken they run into Chifuyu and Ryusei. Chifuyu straight up believes they're them but Ryusei knows Ryusei then decides to torture them over this by making them eat lots and fight. Chifuyu gets offended by this and prepares to square up with Ryusei until Baji shows up with Pochi (Pah's dog). Ryusei gets scared of Pochi, Chifuyu chases him with Pochi and Baji beats the imposters up.

Baji's failing all his classes so enlists Chifuyu to help torture him. They both have a breakdown but manage to pass. Baji then dresses as a girl to get a maths tutor and Chifuyu joins him because yolo.

Ryusei then straight up disappears after he gets targeted by some guys who went after Chifuyu too. No one notices for a week though so Chifuyu goes to his house we then meet Ryusei's milf mother and find his old gang uniform.

Chifuyu goes to find Ryusei with his own mizo middle squad and goes around asking random guys if they've seen him. He gets tazored and tied up by the rival gangs vice captain but at least he finds the kidnapped Ryusei.

And that's the spinoff!

If any of you had intense brainrot like me during the SMP you probably listened to a kinnie playlist for your favorite SMP member. I was wondering if anybody saved any of the (I don’t know if they were the first to do this but I’m gonna call them) original DSMP kinnie playlist videos? For whatever reason around late 2021/early 2022 they took down Technoblade’s playlist and I told myself to download the others...I never did (curse my laziness) and now I can’t find any of them. They’re all just...gone.

I’m specifically interested in the kinnie playlists for Technoblade, Badboyhalo, Jschlatt, Sapnap, Quackity, and Skeppy but would love to see/hear anything you have of these videos (song lists, screenshots, files/downloads, anything about the channel, links to the fanart used, etc.)

- Thumbnails were very similar to current playlist videos (solid color background, square in the middle with fanart)

- They had one for every member of the SMP and didn’t make specific playlists (no eggpire!BBH or exile!Tommy, just BBH and Tommy)
