It has come to my attention that it's Period Drama Appreciation Week 2023. I love period dramas and grew up watching them. They have been a formative part of my life and I'm now too disabled to watch video. Even gifs are too difficult for my brain to process. It is also Bi Visibility Week and I'm posting this on Bisexual Visibility Day. Since I can't safely post a pile of gifs, here is a list celebrating actors/characters/moments from period dramas that have been significant to my bisexuality. [Yes, this is a big list. I am missing out on watching and re-watching A Lot of awesome period dramas and I hate it. This list is helping me reclaim a bit of joy. Also I've probably forgotten some favourites and may update this.]

Congrats on 100 Babe! 🎉🎉
Can I request Bradley and Champagne & Sunshine?!
My OG BBSQRL, I adore you more than life itself 🥹
I had two requests for Champagne & Sunshine, on for BB and the other for Jake or Javy so I’m writing two with focus on separate parts 😂
The first time Bradley met the future Mrs. Bradshaw, she knocked the breath straight from his lungs. Literally. She had been on her evening run along the shoreline while the Daggers were playing dogfight football, and Bradley, not paying attention to his surroundings, plowed right into her. After helping her up and brushing the sand off of her face, he had convinced her to let him take her to dinner as an apology. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
All I want is champagne and sunshine, lookin’ for a good time
It was a gorgeous September day when the newest Bradshaws tied the knot on the sunny California beachside where they collided, almost exactly 3 years prior. They celebrated surrounded by their friends and found family and the reception will undoubtedly be remembered as the party of a lifetime. The champagne and laughter flowed freely as they danced the night away. The next day, they departed for the bride’s dream honeymoon; a two week long Mediterranean adventure.
Sippin' on the stars, while we layin' under sunlight. Tanned skin, light eyes, oh my, she so damn fine
The newlyweds spent the first week in Rome, Bradley’s choice, being the typical cheesy, American tourists and soaking in the culture and fantastic food. The second leg of the trip was spent in Santorini as Greece was his new wife’s dream vacation destination. The romantic vibe of the island paired well with the love flowing off of the couple in waves as they spent their days exploring the black sand beach, touring the Castle of St. Nicholas, and the ancient ruins of Thera. After a handful of adventures, Bradley had begged for a lazy day. Mrs. Bradshaw reluctantly gave in and they settled on renting a small boat to sail in the Amoudi Bay. Bradley mentally thanked Penny for forcing him to help with her boat so many times, unintentionally learning how to sail had really paid off in this moment.
Kissin' on her neck, we be runnin' from the night time
Glowing orange and high in the sky, the sun shines down on his wife and her tiny bikini that should be illegal with how hot it is on her as she’s stretched out in the hammock netting at the front of the boat. After dropping the anchor, Bradley moves to join her and she seamlessly tucks into his side.
“It’s so beautiful here, do we really have to go home?” she mumbles into his chest.
Bradley chuckles, turning until his face is buried in her neck and leaving soft kisses against her skin. “We can’t settle into our new house and decide which room will be the nursery if we don’t go home, silly girl.”
She quickly scrambles to sit on his lap, eyes wide with excitement. “You make a solid point, Chicken. Whatcha say, start working on the roost of baby Bradshaws right now?”

𝓐 𝓑𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓯 𝓗𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓻𝔂 𝓸𝓯 𝓘𝓶𝓫𝓸𝓵𝓬
Imbolc is a Celtic tradition that marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. The Celtic pagan holiday falls on February 1st-2nd and heralds the change of the seasons and the shift from the dark days to the sun filled days ahead. This celebration, from information gathered from Irish poetry, dates back to early 10th century. From informaton gleamed the holiday was originally around the veginning of spring and aligned more towards rebirth. However, we can justify this with the meanjng of the word Imbolc. The holiday's name means 'in the belly of the mother' and within the earth at this time sturs the seeds of spring.
Brigid resides over this holiday and was originally worshipped by a class of poets and historians called the Filid. Brigid is a Celtic fire and fertility goddess, daughter of Dagda, lineage of the Tuath du Danann, and deemed one of the most powerful Celtic deities. It is also believed that she is a triple goddess due to the fact that she has two sisters with the same name but they seem to represent different aspects which is very much the summize of most triple deities. As time moved away from paganism Brigid was adopted into Christianity as St. Brigid and was still saint/goddess of dairy maids, cattle, midwives, newborns and nuns.
Per https://www.history.com/topics/holidays/imbolc:
"Brigid appears in the saga Cath Maige Tuired and the Lebor Gabála Érenn, a purported history of Ireland collected from various poems and texts in the 10th century."
"Myths about Brigid’s birth say she was born with a flame in her head and drank the milk of a mystical cow from the spirit world. Brigid is credited with the very first keening, a traditional wailing for the dead practiced at funerals by Irish and Scottish women."

St Apostolos Chapel, Faliraki.
Last pics I took in Faliraki today, the very end of Faliraki Bay is a hidden, waterside, gem…
St Apostolos Chapel is a popular wedding venue, where often the impressive arrival of the bride and groom by boat or jetski is facilated, followed by a celebration cruise to the magnificent bay of Anthony Quinn following the wedding ceremony.

Dearest Daphne,
I was simply delighted to hear the news of your engagement to Patrick Crale. How marvelous it must be to finally have a ring on that finger! I must say, I never thought someone like Patrick would be the one to capture your heart, but then again, life is full of surprises, isn't it?
It's been quite the journey, hasn't it? From our days of sharing secrets and dresses to our little spats over the most trivial matters. Ah, the memories. I must admit, I've always admired your tenacity, even if our tastes in fashion have often been a point of, shall we say, creative disagreement.
I heard through the grapevine that you're planning a spring wedding. How quaint! And at St. Agnes, no less. A charming choice, though I always thought you'd be more of a St. Bartholomew's bride. As for your dress, I'm sure whatever you pick will be… memorable.
Wishing you all the happiness in the world, darling,
Phoebe
•·················•·················•
Darling Phoebe,
Your letter was such a delightful surprise! Your kind words and well wishes are most appreciated, truly. Patrick and I are thrilled about our upcoming nuptials, and your advice is invaluable, especially coming from someone with such a wealth of experience in matrimonial matters. St. Agnes may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it holds a special place in our hearts.
I must say, I was quite surprised to hear about your recent endeavors to win over Lowell Billings. It's a shame things didn't work out between you two. I always thought you'd make a perfect match, what with your shared love for the finer things in life. I do hope you won't be too disheartened. After all, there are plenty of other eligible bachelors in Brindleton Bay, though I'm sure none quite as wealthy charming as Mr. Billings, Esq.
I must say that Patrick has been a breath of fresh air in my life. His ambition and drive are truly inspiring, and I find myself genuinely excited for our future together. It's a wonderful feeling, to be so aligned with someone in both love and life's pursuits.
And speaking of alignment, I've always valued our friendship, Phoebe. Despite our little disagreements and differing tastes, you've been a constant in my life. Your intelligence and wit have often been a source of inspiration for me, and I'm grateful for the many moments of genuine joy and companionship we've shared over the years.
Thank you again for your well wishes. I look forward to catching up soon, perhaps over a cup of tea or something stronger, depending on how our respective wedding plans—or lack thereof—are going.
Sincerely,
Daphne

She was demure and elegant in a flowing gown – he looked dapper and debonair in a tailored navy suit.
So pity the poor bride and groom whose lavish Caribbean nuptials were overshadowed by such glamorous guests.
Then again, if you will invite Prince Harry and his actress girlfriend Meghan Markle to your wedding, what do you expect?
All eyes were on the young lovers as the prince attended the wedding of friend Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip at the weekend in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Not having seen each other for a fortnight, Harry, 32, and 35-year-old Meghan used the trip as an excuse for a romantic reunion – and their affectionate behaviour set tongues wagging that it might not be long before they, too, are walking up the aisle.
For Meghan, the surroundings are not entirely unfamiliar.
In 2011, she married her first husband – film producer Trevor Engleson – at a resort just 60 miles along the coast. So, is she feeling the love second time around?
We reveal exactly what the young couple got up to on their romantic West Indian weekend...
He flies in economy, while she takes a private jet
Harry arrived in Jamaica on Wednesday to join the groom’s party ahead of the big day – he was one of 14 ushers.
The royals don’t use private planes for personal engagements, so he took a Virgin Atlantic flight from Gatwick to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.
The prince did splash out on a premium economy seat, costing upwards of £2,000 return.
Meghan flew in the following day from Toronto, where she’s filming US legal drama Suits, in a private jet that belongs to a friend.
Ever the gentleman, Harry picked her up from the airport, greeting her with a kiss before they drove back to the hotel together.
The luxury resort where JFK stayed
With 110 acres of lush tropical gardens, suites designed by Ralph Lauren and its own private bay, the wedding reception venue is the perfect backdrop for royal romance.
The Round Hill Resort was built in the 1950s as a series of luxurious cottages for rich and famous visitors. Guests have included JFK and Jackie Kennedy, who spent their honeymoon here.
Grace Kelly, Fred Astaire, Clark Gable, Sir Paul McCartney, and Emma Watson have also stayed.
Tumblr media
A hotel worker revealed that Meghan and Harry stayed in a £5,000-a-night premium luxury villa, the resort’s most exclusive accommodation away from prying eyes, which comes with its own housekeeper, two pools and a games room with a bar and pool table.
Ever watchful of their safety, security guards were stationed in rooms nearby.
Guests have breakfast served on their balcony, and options include Jamaican delicacies such as ackee (a fruit like a lychee), saltfish with fried dumplings and callaloo (a leafy green vegetable).
It’s quite a change from Meghan’s first trip to the island during her low-key wedding in 2011.
She and her husband-to-be stayed at the four-star Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, where they indulged in drinking games and wheelbarrow races before saying their vows.
Tumblr media
The (other) very happy couple
It takes a brave bride to invite glamorous, leggy Meghan to your wedding. But flame-haired Lara Hughes-Young didn’t seem bothered about being outshone.
Lara, 30, a software developer at global technology company ThoughtWorks, knows Harry through her new husband ‘Skippy’, who went to Eton with the prince.
She’s the granddaughter of late Conservative MP Michael Hughes-Young.
Her father holds the title Lord St Helens – making her official title the Honourable Lara Inskip.
She is said to have been ‘singing Meghan’s praises’ since meeting her last year.
Tumblr media
They may have been the focus of attention on the day, but Megan and Harry were far from the only notable guests at the wedding.
Harry’s aunt Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was on the list, accompanied, insiders say, by her daughter Eugenie.
After the ceremony, a smiling Fergie, wearing a black minidress with a jewelled neck, was seen posing for photographs with Pastor Conrad Thomas, who officiated the ceremony.
Archie Soames, one of the ushers, is the great-grandson of Winston Churchill. Maid of honour Alice St Clair Erskine is an actress who portrayed the Duchess of Cambridge in the 2011 American TV show William and Catherine: A Royal Romance.
Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is rumoured to have popped in for the party.
Trying not to upstage the bride
For the ceremony, Meghan chose a £1,200 floral print maxi dress by Canadian designer Erdem.
Harry opted for a bespoke navy suit, believed to be from his favourite Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes, and teamed with a yellow rose.
Meghan accessorised her elegant attire with a nude clutch bag and a pair of £249 gold-rimmed sunglasses by Dior to shield her eyes from the hot Jamaican sun.
The bride did her best to stay in the spotlight in a breathtakingly simple white satin gown with a plunging neckline and full, flowing skirt – a direct contrast to Meghan’s high-necked style.
Tumblr media
Meghan's tender touch for her prince
Meghan placed a protective arm on Harry’s back as she steered him out of the church and guests say the pair were very tactile throughout the reception as she was introduced to his old friends.
At one point they were seen deep in conversation, as a jacketless Harry drank a beer and Meghan an Aperol spritz cocktail as she continued to rub his back.
Minutes later, she moved even closer, gazing into his eyes and putting her arms around his neck.
‘They are both head over heels and don’t care who sees it,’ said an onlooker.

Not wanting to disturb the funeral guests with their happiness (and feeling rather guilty for the joy they felt in spite of their own deep sorrow), Bea and Josef elected to stroll through the garden a while before returning.
Tumblr media
They chatted over the innumerable logistics necessary to sort through before they could be wed. People would talk horribly, of course, but the nature of the debts in desperate need of repayment obligated a wedding as soon as the banns could be read.
"But talk will die down eventually, my Bea. Those who love us will know the truth—that we would have waited long enough for the mourning period to end if we were able, and that it will always grieve us that your dear father could not join us, ja?" Josef promised with a comforting pat on the arm, "And then it will be the two of us on the farm, and we will be away from all of this."
Tumblr media
Beatrice attempted a wan smile, but her features instead fell into an expression of discomfiture.
"You know I would *love* for it to be just the two of us, Josef," she began slowly, worry staining her tone like juice from a rotten cherry on a white pinafore, "but, you see, Mother has nowhere to go. She mortgaged the house to try and take care of Father while he was ill, and she has no living relations who would let her live with them—at least not in Brindleton—and it would positively kill Mother to leave the Bay. She has lived here all her life, you see. Mother's father's father opened the first general store on the island, and it is already breaking her heart to leave the home she first came to as a bride that I couldn't consider asking her to go any farther."
"And, well, after losing Father so recently I couldn't stand to be parted from her yet. So, you see, if I am to be wed, then Mother must come along wherever I go."
Tumblr media
Josef nodded solemnly. His forehead crinkled in thought. As he opened his mouth to speak, Bea braced herself for his dismissal—for, what young man would take on both a wife who brought no more than a handful of books, a few trinkets, and a knitting basket into her marriage as well as her grieving, aged mother?
Beatrice had already begun steeling herself to hand back the dear little ring she already loved and inquire once again if the Landgraab manor had any openings for scullery maids when Josef seemed to settle something for himself with a sigh. "I think it will be at least until the next harvest before we can afford to add onto the house. Do you think your mother will mind the spare room for now? It is comfortable enough but very basic. As is the rest of the farm, if I think too long about it," he chuckled to himself with a not pitiful sense of self-deprecation.
Tumblr media
Bea pulled back in shock. "You mean...you mean you are agreeable to having my mother live with us? Truly?"
Josef pulled her close. "But of course," he assured. "Your mother is always welcome wherever we are. Bea, I mean for the farm to be a home to you. You will have just as much say over the running of things as I do."
Tumblr media
"I mean it when I say I love you. Your happiness means much to me, my Bea."
Tumblr media
Oh, how she loved the way he said her name. It was not the buzzy "Beee" that most used as a nickname for her. His accent hummed a richer, softer "Bay-uh" as it called to her, like a long-forgotten ancient word of prayer. Bea leaned in as close as propriety allowed.
"The I will be very happy with you, indeed. I could never have a man who would treat Mother with unkindness, or myself for that matter. You are a very good man, Josef Moody," she whispered warmly.
Tumblr media
"This, I think, does not make me very good, but only very decent. But for you, Bea, I will always strive for good."
Tumblr media
Sometime later, after all the funeral guests had dispersed and Josef left with a promise to inform the priest at St. Bonaventure's of their intention to marry, Beatrice slipped up to the porch to find her mother. Madeleine's weariness and grief had blinded her to most things, lately. Her beloved husband had been her very life and his death had shattered her. The first days after his death had passed in a haze of tears, sleeplessness, and funeral preparations.
Her grief did not hide from her her only child's starry eyes. Nothing could have.
"My dear," Madeleine approached, hesitation lacing her voice, "are you quite alright?" Madeleine had heard tell of the brilliant hectic flush that seemed to singularly affect consumptive young women. If–if Beatrice had contracted the disease which had taken her father—
"Oh, Mama! I am more than alright. You see," Bea blushed deeper, and Madeleine was gratified to find the flush was only a natural, maidenly one, "you see I have seen Josef Moody. He has asked me to be his wife, and for the two of us to come and live with him...and I have accepted."
Tumblr media
"Oh!" Madeleine cried, "Oh, my dear, how wonderful! And he will take me as well? Then he is an honorable man indeed."
Madeleine's cheer was interrupted by a horrifying thought. "You–you haven't done this because of me, have you? We can figure out something else, Trixie. You don't have to marry him if you don't want to."
"No, Mama," Bea shook her head, "It's not like that. Mama, I-I love him."
"Then I am happy for you, darling girl. I can only hope you will be as happy with your Josef as I was with your papa. Come here, let your mother congratulate you."
And as she accepted her mother's well wishes, Beatrice thought back on that afternoon and decided that if the beginning of the relationship was anything to go by, she would be happy indeed.

HOW MANY LICKS: THE 25 DOPEST RAP SONGS TO F*** TO
Rock The Bells Staff
Contrary to what some hand-wringing "purists" might tell you, sex is a part of Hip-Hop.
Shocking, right?
Of course, that shouldn't be breaking news: sex is a part of human experience. It's been a part of culture and art ever since civilization has created culture and art, so why would rap music and Hip-Hop culture be any different? From the minute Big Bank Hank of The Sugarhill Gang rapped about being able to "bust you out with my super sperm"—words that were actually written by Grandmaster Caz aka Casanova Fly (keyword: "Casanova")—sex has been a topic of many rap lyrics and videos. From Too $hort and 2 Live Crew, to LL COOL J and Lil Kim: there is a brilliant, provocative history of sex rap. The examples are endless—Kool G Rap's "Talk Like Sex"; The Notorious B.I.G.'s "F**kin' You Tonight"; there are even popular songs from artists like MC Lyte and Q-Tip that are highly erotic (Google the lyrics to Lyte's "Keep On Keepin' On" right now).
For the purposes of this examination, it should be recognized that sexy rap songs can both offer the sensual and also wallow in the raunchy. The most seductive can feel as tantalizingly alluring as a quiet-storm classic; the raunchiest can make the most bashful bride buss it open. But it's allgood. Balance, people...
Here are the 25 Dopest Rap Songs to F*%! To; a playlist for when you wanna get right by gettin' a little wrong...

#26
"STRAWBERRIES" - SMOOTH [BONUS SONG]
Our BONUS SONG pick is a celebrated classic guest spot! Well, ACTUALLY this is more of an R&B song than a rap song—but Smooth is a rapper and she raps on this seductive classic. So there.

#25
"COCKTALES" - TOO $HORT
The Oakland legend is one of the foremost authorities on raunchy rap. Hell, he damn-near invented the genre. And this quasi-sequel to his classic "Freaky Tales" is one of his naughty best.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#24
"TALK SEX" - KOOL KEITH
When it comes to freaky raps, Kool Keith is like $hort Dog's weirdass cousin. Like his Bay Area contemporary, the oddball emcee out of the Bronx is one of the longest-running legends of raunch, and this track from 2018 is an example of his hilariously scatological approach to sex songs.

#23
"HOW DO U WANT IT" - 2PAC FEAT. K-CI & JO-JO
Pac always found a way to balance his socio-political rage, thuggishness and straight seduction. This monster hit from his double album ALL EYEZ ON ME is one of the most famous examples of the latter. And the X-rated, porn star-themed video is the stuff of legend.

"RICH SEX" - FUTURE
The Atlanta trap star managed to popularize a new lane within the rap game via his digitized crooning. And it was the perfect launching pad for a sexy sound that came to be embodied by this hit single.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#21
"BED" - NICKI MINAJ FEAT. ARIANA GRANDE
She's got a more varied body of work than some of her detractors want to recognize, but when Nicki goes sexy, she GOES SEXY. And while this ain't the raunchiest at all, this hit single with pop megastar Ariana Grande is one of her most sinfully seductive tracks.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#20
"BIG MOMMA THANG" - LIL KIM FEAT. JAY-Z, LIL CEASE
The opening track is everything that announced Kim as a superstar: bold, brazen and bangin.' Jay delivers one of his first high-profile guest spots as Kim makes it clear she's ready for her close-up.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#19
"ONE MINUTE MAN - MISSY ELLIOTT FEAT. LUDACRIS AND TRINA
Missy found yet another musical kindred spirit in Ludacris during the early aughts, and they capitalized on their connection regularly, including on the 2001 club hit “One Minute Man” from her third album, "Miss E… So Addictive." Trina's guest verse steals the show, as "da baddest bitch" gets raw and raunchy about what she needs in the bedroom.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#18
"GETTIN SOME ..." - SHAWNNA FEAT. TOO $HORT
The St. Louis rap star was a standout for Ludacris and the Disturbing Tha Peace label, and this monster single was a big reason why. It's one of the early 00s most inescapable tunes, and one of $hort's best guest spots.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#17
"85" - YOUNGBLOODZ FEAT. BIG BOI, JIM CROW
The hook. That groovy production from Atlanta veterans Parental Advisory. This ATL classic is a late-night creep anthem. Anybody who's ever hopped in the whip to ride down 85 for a rendezvous can relate; and the cameo from Fat Sax is one of his best ever.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#16
"IMAGINE THAT" - LL COOL J
This steamy Rockwilder-produced single could be considered an unofficial sequel to the classic "Doin' It." The track reunites LL with LeShaun, and their chemistry from that earlier duet is just as strong here.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#15
"SHAWTY FREAK A LIL SUMTHIN" - LIL JON & THE EASTSIDE BOYZ FEAT. JAZZE PHA
An early gem in Toomp’s discography, “Shawty Freak a Lil Sumthin’” is both an Atlanta and southern classic. Toomp co-produced the track with Jon, which was featured on Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz’s 1997 offering, GET CRUNK, WHO U WIT: DA ALBUM.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#14
"SEX FACES" - SCARFACE, TOO $HORT, TELA, AND DEVIN THE DUDE
Another one of his most popular tracks, Scarface takes the ordinary boy-meets-girl tale and spins it into an engaging tale on this very explicit classic. With a noteworthy assist from Devin The Dude, Tela and the $hort Dog himself.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#13
"LATE NITE TIP" - THREE SIX MAFIA
One of the best moments from Gangsta Boo and from Lord Infamous. Over a flip of Lisa Fischer's quiet storm classic "How Can I Ease the Pain," Three Six delivers a song that's somehow both seductive and sinister.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#12
"LOVE IN YA MOUTH" - KILO ALI FEAT. BIG BOI
The forefather of Atlanta rap was never shy about freaky songs, and this ode to oral sex is one of the most classic tracks in his repertoire. Big Boi’s guest spot serves as the perfect accent to the nasty perfection here.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#11
"MIND SEX" - DEAD PREZ
M-1 and stic.man aren’t always just raging against the machine. What set the politically minded duo apart from an act like Public Enemy is that they weren’t averse to showing a more sensual side, as epitomized in this ode to gettin’ it in with someone with whom you actually share a mental and emotional connection.
0 seconds of 0 seconds
#10
"BIG OLE FREAK" - MEGAN THEE STALLION
The Texas rap superstar was still on the rise when she dropped this raunchy rap insta-classic. Meg made it clear early on that she could be playful, freaky as all hell and a take-no-shit emcee—all at the same time.
0 seconds of 0 seconds

"SLOB ON MY KNOB" - THREE SIX MAFIA
Juicy J wrote this little ditty back when he was still a teen in high school, and it has all the adolescent horn dogism that one might expect from a young dude. It's endured as a foulmouthed classic as only Three Six can deliver.

"LOLLIPOP" - LIL WAYNE FEAT. STATIC MAJOR
It became so ubiquitous that it's hard to remember just how unique it was when it dropped. The ode to oral love became one of the era's biggest smashes and cemented Wayne's omnipresence. The song that seemed to own 2008.

"PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH" - AKINYELE
Ah yes, a catchy little ditty from the freakiest rhymer Queens ever produced. Akinyele was never known for subtlety, and this semi-hit from 1996 was his crowning achievement as a single. The song is about — well, y’know — and the hook became a fixture in strip clubs and on dance floors throughout the late 1990s.

"ME SO HORNY" - 2 LIVE CREW
If there is a "The Message" for sex rap, it's gotta be the X-rated classic from 2 Live Crew that got them banned in the U.S.A. Luke and his boys really go there and it shocked the world. It also opened the door for virtually everybody from Akinyele to Lil Kim.

"MY NECK, MY BACK" - KHIA
We've used the word "inescapable" a lot on this list, but DAMN—where were YOU when you first heard this foul-mouthed little classic from an upstart out of Florida. After years of rap songs with men telling women how to go down, Khia repped for the ladies with this instructional guide. Get it right, sir. Get it RIGHT.

"W.A.P." - CARDI B. AND MEGAN THEE STALLION
Two of the biggest stars in contemporary music joined forces for a song that paid homage to both Frank Ski and DJ Uncle Al, the video became the talk of pop culture, and the ladies' provocative performance at the 63rd Grammys led to a record number of complaints. Mission accomplished.

"DOIN' IT" - LL COOL J FEAT. LESHAUN
It's a raunch rap classic; a sexual tour-de-force from a guy who made this sorta thing his raizon d'etre. The seductive imagery in the lyrics gets more and more explicit, as Uncle L goes bar-for-bar-for-bar with LeShaun over an exquisite sample of Grace Jones' "My Jamaican Guy."

"WHAT'S IT GONNA BE? - BUSTA RHYMES FEAT. JANET JACKSON
One of Busta’s biggest singles came when he linked with Janet Jackson for “What’s It Gonna Be!?” The chaotic drums on the track are smoothed out with Janet’s signature vocals on the hook. The sexy, futuristic video, directed by Busta and Hype Williams in his prime, is one of the most expensive ever made, and one of the most memorable of the decade.

"HOW MANY LICKS" - LIL KIM FEAT. SISQO
The Queen Bee is hip-hop's most legendary sex symbol for a reason. On this skittering single, she rattles off all of the lovers she's left in her wake (Tony the Italian, a brother named "King Kong" for very specific reasons, etc.) with the self-proclaimed "Dragon" delivering a soulfully sleazy hook. Nobody does it nastier.

132 books! Holy moly. I know it would be asking A LOT but do you think you could post a list of all books? If you don’t want to it’s ok. But wow….
HAHA I know it's nuts but I always have a book on me so I reread in between any free moment. It also turns out that it's 130 books since I double-checked on GoodReads!
I initially had a reading goal of 75 books then bumped it to 100. Throughout this year I've realized, I pick and choose between hobbies so if I'm reading, I don't do any other things. So I sacrifice time to play on my switch/watch tv/write because reading takes first place. Also, GoodReads does count epilogues and webtoons as books so I do as well lol. Which is how I'm currently on the 131st book 😂 But sure! I love talking about books so I will list them under the read more!

"Alexa play High C's by Two Steps From Hell"
Because yes while I'm out and about taking photos I'm also blasting Two Steps From Hell. If you couldn't tell this day in Pembrokeshire National Park was extremely windy, like hold onto everything windy. I'm from a very landlocked state so getting views like this are absolutely breathtaking for me.

Wednesday 4 July 1838

were to have been off at 8 – could not get our passport till 9 – very fine morning – breakfast at 8 ¼ left Josephine – took George, and A- and I (with merely our night things, a change of linen and our journal books in one sac de nuit) off at 9 50 in a calêche and 3 horses for St. Jean de Luz having our passport visaed for Spain at the French mairie, and at our own consulate and that of Spain – A- and I both in good spirits – A- had taken of letter paper to date to her sister from St. Sebastien – excellent road – very pretty interesting drive – the mountains fine on our left and in less than an hour about 10 ¾ the sea fine on our right – at 11 20 passed the poste aux chevaux at Bidart (1 ½ poste) and Tamarisk hedges – at St. Jean de Luz (1 ½ p. more) chez M. Junca, maitre de poste aux chevaux, hotel de la poste, at 12 50 – gave him the letter from our host M. Theodore Détroyat à Bayonne, begged him to arrange all about our passport – not safe to go by land – must go by a sea – in a steamer if there happened to be one – if not there might be a boat going – or we might hire one – M. Junca un petit homme vif – sent off a woman to see about a boat – the boats not here, but ½ hour off – ordered a mutton cutlet for A- and she having

fastened her door, I went into the nice little town for ¼ hour – singular church – one large lofty vaulted space – the large organ and large organ-loft to contain the clergy at the west end and the high altar in a richly-covered gilded bay or apse at the east end – 3 oak ballustred oak-pillar supported galleries on each side – the 1st gallery perhaps 5 yards from the ground (the floor boarded) and the 2 above about 4 yards each from the lower gallery and from each other and about 2 or 3 yards perhaps from the square of the roof – called at the poste aux letters – the courier goes Fridays and Tuesdays but now goes by land – so that the idea of crossing with the courier is at an end – on my returning found A- had put on stocking for fear of monsieur how unlucky on my return A- had had her cutlet, and M. Junca had heard of a Patron de Chaloupe (Captain of a boat) just going to start for St. Sebastian with a little cargo and would return on Friday – ended by agreeing to give him 50/. for a boat to ourselves to return with us tomorrow or if we chose to stay till Friday to give him 55/. – Corrigo [or Conigo] Eguia, Patron de Chaloupe a Spaniard but très honnete [honnête ] homme that M. Junca knew well and could count upon – we could not be better – to be ready in ½ hour – A- and I walked down to the church to spend the time there – she made a little sketch of the exterior while I stood by watching a man making linen-listing sandal-soles, and a woman sitting by him serving on the bit of upper-linen (coarse string stitched together by button-hole stitch) to cover the toes – Mr. Junca came to see us embark on the quai in the grande place –

on one side the house where the d. of Wellington spent 2 or 3 months – on another the old chateau like house while Louis xvi. lodged and on another the house where the infante of Spain his bride Marie Thérèse lodged – A- seeing no rowers hoped there were rowers – yes! four – she had not thought the boat was so small (a little chaloupe about the size of a Scarbro’ cobble) – however we embarked at 2 – there is always a little surf at the entrance of the little harbour – I saw A- was nervous – our little sail made us lean a little on one side every now and then and there was little bit of up and down – A- grasped my hand – said she could not bear it – would return – there was no danger – the afternoon was beautiful – the little wind or air was in our favour and it was a pity poor A-‘s nerves were not stronger – but I saw she was right to return – our captain could only speak Spanish – I had difficulty in making him understand that he must put in at Choco (the fort of ) I really could not make him understand to turn back – but by dint of ‘timore – ella – morire – io –pagare – intrate [rientrate]’ pointing to the fort of Socoa (pronounced as if Choco (tschoco)) I got him to put in there – there was no time to deliberate – besides our 4 rowers we had a stripling boy and a lad about 12 or 13 on board – left the latter to go back with A- and carry her cloak and the travelling bag – took out merely my night-chemise and cap and 50 francs and left all the rest with A- except my umbrella and parasol and 2 cloaks – asked her if she would like me not to go – said if she had least wish for me to stay, I would – no! she had rather I went – in 5 minutes poor A- was landed, and left, and I was re-embarked and off at 2 35 – In a moment I had lost sight of her – and I was pitching in the bay of [?] in a small open boat with a Spanish smuggler (for such is Corrigo) and 3 Spanish rowers and one old French basque rower and my servant George! – about ½ dozen words of French were all our crew could muster and about as Many English (‘good bye – very quick’) – in 40 minutes (at 3 ¼) Andaye (pronounced Andāiah) in sight (a village or little town – with a little tower (church tower or steeple?) and at 3 35 lost sight of Fontarabia (Fontarrābbĭa) [Hondarribia? ]nearer the sea than Andaye and on high ground – looking like a convent, or fort, or what? Irun (could hardly distinguish the building) forms the apex of the triangle between the two (at Andaye and Fontaribia) at the foot of the high 3 or 4 pointed torso or crest of mountain that is so striking from the top of Bayonne cathedral – at 3 35 re-embarked at Socoa – in 40 minutes (3 ¼) Andaye in sight – lost sight of Fontarabia at 3 35 – and ten minutes before this had had the 1st distant glimpse of St. Sebastian or rather the high tower (fort) on the top of the hill on the west of the harbour – the tower of Biarrits’ (pronounced Bēeăris) closes the wide bay towards Bayonne – and the rocky pointe de Figuieras [Figueres?] shuts out the embouchure of the Bidassoa (on which are Andaye and Fontaribia) – Sick at 5 20 – fine as is the afternoon and I quite warm the sea here seems to me as swelling as it was the night we went to Antwerp – land at 6 ¼ - having passed the citadel-rock and high conical little rock doubled the island and entered the harbour to the westwards of it between it and the tower fort – 2 English steamers in the service of the queen of Spain lying at anchor – [?] up to the jetties under the west side of the town, and landed by stairs so narrow, deep, and rough one could hardly get up – at the Fonda (no.5 Plaza ricja (place vielle)  reuve Inciarte) in 10 minutes at 6 35 – queer dirty looking place Corrigo introduced me to the especial care of the people – I could not tell which was the mistress – several women  sat together at a large table full of washed but apparently ungot up linen – the daughter (Luisa) could speak French – asked her to send someone with me to see the town and citadel, and to let me have dinner – she said she would go with me herself and sent a woman to shew me my room – it was au 3me but lofty, and large enough – one common chair and ditto table and ditto bedstead, no curtains – no look of comfort – I was down again among the women in a few minutes but had to wait till young lady was dressed (1/2 hour) when she and Madama appeared in their mantillas quite dressed for promenade – the old lady was one who had been driven from the country – lost all she had and come into the ville, and was at the Fonda I could not make out on what terms – but the young lady could not trust herself with me and George without a madama – I said I was sorry they had made so much toilette and that I really was ashamed of my travelling costume – However the young lady aetatis 18 looked very well pleased and out we sallied – to the church – one large lofty domed space unbroken by anything save the large organ and its large loft at the west end – the clergy (now 21) sat or officiated the organ loft – the bay or apse of the high altar one mass of gilt carving – and a lessen altar on each side of it, transept-wise – imposing looking interior – large odd heavy old plain building outside with 2 low west towers – then to the citadel very few soldiers – saw perhaps a dozen – several people walking along the traverse walks along the rocky hill side – towards the sea one or 2 tombs – that and among 2 [?] of Sir Oliver de Lancy railed off – I went up to read the inscriptions but a solider called me back – not allowed to go! the sea-view very fine from one side – the tower as if laid down upon a map on the other – the grand place (arcaded) and another place and one or 2 straight streets all round round them seemed to compose the ville – 3 convents destroyed by the carlists (the girl said) and houses in all directions unroofed
SH:7/ML/E/21/0140
and made unhabitable by them (for fear of xtians should take shelter in them) gave all around a look of ruin – one whole village just on this side the river on the road to Hernani quite destroyed – could go very safely to Hernani now – no carlists between here and there – could also go to Passages – but no farther – asked the girl to get me a guide to Hernani in the morning – determined to be off at 6 and back in time to breakfast and embark at 11 – out from 7  5 to about before 9 when I had seen all there was to see – had to wait a little for dinner – they seemed to expect George to dine with me, but on my saying it was not selon [?] habitude, he fined in the kitchen or somewhere, and I told the young Louisa to come and sit by me or I should be triste – I had soup, ham, chicken and potatoes – I dined on the 1st and a little cheese and bread, nothing else looking tolerable – finding no chance of a guide who could speak word of anything but Spanish took a man to shew me the way (not far) and off about 9 20 to our consul – not at home – would return at 11 to supper – this would not do – at the moment 2 English officers went upstairs – spoke to one them – said what I was come for, and begged to have a solider to accompany me in the morning – the officer very civil – Lieutenant of the artillery as I afterwards found – promised me a solider at 6 tomorrow am – returned to the fonda and went upstairs with the fille to see my bed prepared – ready by 9 ¾ - very fine day – doubted for a moment whether to undress – my sheets not feeling very dry – took them off

Day Eighty-three
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had the fortune of passing by a haybale cinema as the drenching rain came down yesterday evening, which wasn't currently in use and had a nice big event shelter up.
So, a night was had hunkering down from the weather in a field over the clifftops! Not too bad at all a night's sleep, and had a spectacular sunset to view across St Brides Bay.
I'd rather not dawdle when camped in a spot like this though, so it's a very early start today to get back onto Route 4 on the clifftops.
It's hills again to start the day as the road winds over the cliffs past some lovely scenery and at least one hobbit hole before nyooming back down to sea level at the pretty beach at Broad Haven.
It's a turn eastward here as the cycle route heads inland into the hills. The wind is again very blowy on another overcast morning, but for this leg it's finally at my back for a change, which helps with the long ride in to Haverfordwest.
A short stop is had here to resupply, before following on the route south. It's a stretch of nice off-traffic riding through some beautiful wooded lanes, though the rains do start to make themselves known as well.
After some rolling climbs, the trail goes on a lovely ride downriver past Westfield Pill and a beautiful heron at the nature reserve, before a steep zig-zag to get up yo the bridge and across the water.
It's onto the A477 now, but there is a spacious cycle path to the side meaning I get to keep out of the busy traffic.
Across the Cleddau Bridge and over the Cleddau Ddu, I cross into Pembroke Dock. Not before taking in the wonderful view from the bridge, as the sun is starting to clear a few of the clouds.
The A road is followed a little further yet, up another steep hill until an equally steep zoom back down to the lovely town of Pembroke.
The route veers off the A road to swing around the Pembroke River for a panoramic view of the beautiful castle.
Out from Pembroke and it's along some nice cycle paths before switching to more country lanes as Route 4 carries on eastwards. It's some long climbs as the trail heads up onto The Ridgeway, which gives some great sights across the Welsh countryside.
After a long damn ride up, it's a steep winding drop back down through Penally and through the holiday park into the busy town of Tenby.
It's a steep grind up to the path overlooking the beach here, but the view fown the coast to Caldey Island is a spectacular reward, and I have a break here to capitalise on it.
After navigating the thronging streets, it's out into another stiff climb through some back lanes before another zooming descent to the picturesque beach at Saundersfoot Beach.
I'm treated to a nice promenade ride here including some cool tunnels to head directly through the cliffs to reach Wisemans Bridge.
Once again, it's a heavy climb up over the cliffs, though the weather at least has finally started to brighten and the wind seems to be calming for the first time in ages.
Past Telpyn Beach the road climbs into a dense forest, before it's more slogging uphill into the coastal fields.
With the hedges by the roadside blocking most views, it's head down and working hard for a good while up as Route 4 cuts diagonally up across the hills. Another long swift ride back down along a bubbling river brings me down to New Mill, and a bit more slogging back up finally results in putting in to St Clears.
The hills have been relentless today, and whilst there's daylight awhile yet, I can feel my legs suffering from the effort of the day. I think a rest day is getting due!
With some wonderful fortune, the amazing Nerys has business down south so has managed to get our journeys to coincide, meaning I get some awesome campervan support rather than dealing with stealth camping.
So, I'm going to have a nice comfy lie down on a bed far softer than last nights'! I'll be back to it on Thursday.
TTFN!

But it's all good.

#16
"IMAGINE THAT" - LL COOL J
This steamy Rockwilder-produced single could be considered an unofficial sequel to the classic "Doin' It." The track reunites LL with LeShaun, and their chemistry from that earlier duet is just as strong here.
#9
"SLOB ON MY KNOB" - THREE SIX MAFIA
Juicy J wrote this little ditty back when he was still a teen in high school, and it has all the adolescent horn dogism that one might expect from a young dude. It's endured as a foulmouthed classic as only Three Six can deliver.
#8
"LOLLIPOP" - LIL WAYNE FEAT. STATIC MAJOR
It became so ubiquitous that it's hard to remember just how unique it was when it dropped. The ode to oral love became one of the era's biggest smashes and cemented Wayne's omnipresence. The song that seemed to own 2008.
#7
"PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH" - AKINYELE
Ah yes, a catchy little ditty from the freakiest rhymer Queens ever produced. Akinyele was never known for subtlety, and this semi-hit from 1996 was his crowning achievement as a single. The song is about — well, y’know — and the hook became a fixture in strip clubs and on dance floors throughout the late 1990s.
#6
"ME SO HORNY" - 2 LIVE CREW
If there is a "The Message" for sex rap, it's gotta be the X-rated classic from 2 Live Crew that got them banned in the U.S.A. Luke and his boys really go there and it shocked the world. It also opened the door for virtually everybody from Akinyele to Lil Kim.
#5
"MY NECK, MY BACK" - KHIA
We've used the word "inescapable" a lot on this list, but DAMN—where were YOU when you first heard this foul-mouthed little classic from an upstart out of Florida. After years of rap songs with men telling women how to go down, Khia repped for the ladies with this instructional guide. Get it right, sir. Get it RIGHT.
#4
"W.A.P." - CARDI B. AND MEGAN THEE STALLION
Two of the biggest stars in contemporary music joined forces for a song that paid homage to both Frank Ski and DJ Uncle Al, the video became the talk of pop culture, and the ladies' provocative performance at the 63rd Grammys led to a record number of complaints. Mission accomplished.
#3
"DOIN' IT" - LL COOL J FEAT. LESHAUN
It's a raunch rap classic; a sexual tour-de-force from a guy who made this sorta thing his raizon d'etre. The seductive imagery in the lyrics gets more and more explicit, as Uncle L goes bar-for-bar-for-bar with LeShaun over an exquisite sample of Grace Jones' "My Jamaican Guy."
#2
"WHAT'S IT GONNA BE? - BUSTA RHYMES FEAT. JANET JACKSON
One of Busta’s biggest singles came when he linked with Janet Jackson for “What’s It Gonna Be!?” The chaotic drums on the track are smoothed out with Janet’s signature vocals on the hook. The sexy, futuristic video, directed by Busta and Hype Williams in his prime, is one of the most expensive ever made, and one of the most memorable of the decade.
#1
"HOW MANY LICKS" - LIL KIM FEAT. SISQO
The Queen Bee is hip-hop's most legendary sex symbol for a reason. On this skittering single, she rattles off all of the lovers she's left in her wake (Tony the Italian, a brother named "King Kong" for very specific reasons, etc.) with the self-proclaimed "Dragon" delivering a soulfully sleazy hook. Nobody does it nastier.
