The story isn't that special: Eggman and his goons are disguised as safety officials during the Olympics, and he's set on ruining everyone's day. Eggman looks funny with his moustache tied into a beard, as do Orbot and Cubot in human disguises.  The doctor looks like an old sea captain.

This issue was released in the middle of Ken Penders' suing of Archie Comics, and I think that's why we're not really getting a comic about the ongoing stories. Its a neat cover, though, if a little bit generic.

Rouge and Blaze are at least wearing neat athletic gear, this issue. I really wish this large quantity of the game cast didn’t exist in this issue just to be effortlessly captured by Eggman’s traps, tho.

Also, Eggman's "Momentum-based physics can be a bad thing after all!" may or may not be a dis at bad Sonic games...?

Ah yes, "Another Time, Another Place". Flynn used to make these so that the games Sega forced him to write stories about to promote don't get in the way of the ongoing narrative.

What I find rather hilarious is Sonic's sudden kleptomaniac tendencies over gold rings, to the point where he actually reaches out for the yellow Olympic Rings symbol. I will never understand why Sonic's like this here. This world's Sonic just loves collecting rings, I guess.
