Head of the Families

Pairing: Namor of Talokan/Shuri of Wakanda

Summary: Mob families of Wakanda and Talokan hold vast territories in California and Nevada but, when the Crime Unit in California starts seeing key figures from both families freely walking on the others territory, somethings gotta give so they deploy the Mob family in their pocket, the Avengers, to find out how far up the food chain it goes. The Avengers, the presumably untouchable family, kidnap who they think is the Head of the Talokan family. Boy, were they wrong.

Through the blood dribbling from his nose, the jade plug having been brutally ripped from it, Namor giggled as if the pain he was in was a minor ache that could be healed with a kiss and a band-aid.

"Oh, you all aren't playing the game correctly! You're supposed to ask me where you can find the Head of the family, not ask me what the alliance between Talokan and Wakanda entails!"

"What do you mean?" Tony asks him calculatedly as Namor tries to use his tongue to play with his mangled nose.

"What I mean, gringo, is that I'm no longer the Head of Talokan. You've got the wrong guy" Namor tells him playfully.

"I'm going to pull out his earrings" Thor threatens as he steps toward Namor.

"No, we need to know who the new Head of Talokan is if it isn't him," Steve tells Thor putting his hand on the man's shoulder.

"I can't wait until the White Wolf comes and tears you apart, Rogers. He may have been loyal to you and the Avengers but, after you threw him away, he was given new life in Wakanda and Talokan. He's a valued member to the Head and she'll be all too happy to send him after you" Namor taunts looking at the former Golden Boy of the United States Army.

"Who is the new Head of Talokan and Wakanda?" Natasha asks him as she inspects the bloody pair of pliers in her hand.

"She's La Bella Muerte, She heals and kills in the same breath, she leaves no survivors yet heals those that join her in her crusade of death. She's my goddess who allows me to worship at her altar every night, she is the one who points the finger and orders me to kill and I happily do it all for her. She's Pantera Negra to my A'K'uk'ulkan, and I will happily die in her place over and over again until she orders me not to."

"It can't be Ramonda as she's been spotted in Haiti so there's only one other person this Black Panther can be," Clint says coming up to Tony with his hands in his pockets.

"Shuri doesn't have the guts for this kind of life" Tony responds dismissively.

Smiling wickedly, Namor asks, "Does she?" right before there was an explosion throwing the door across the room right into him causing him and the chair he was tied to tip over right as he started laughing in glee.

Who other than Shuri, the presumed Head of both Wakanda and Talokan, steps through the hole that had been created.

Prim and proper, she carefully steps around the debris that had been created from the explosion with her head held high while her cousin, Erik, and the White Wolf take up their protective positions behind her both sporting AK-47s that were pointed to the ground.

"Gentlemen, madam, you have something of mine I'd like returned to me. I would've preferred unharmed but in our line of business there is nothing we can do to stop harm from occurring so I'd at least like him alive."

"Holy shit," Sam says looking at the woman who'd walked through the door.

"I don't think, Shuri, you quite understand what was going on here so let me spell it out for you…"

"Actually Anthony, I understand perfectly what was going on here. You kidnapped one of mine in broad daylight hoping to get information about Talokan out of him but, what you've failed to notice, is the man is a masochist through and through; he loves pain and everyone in the Talokan family could tell you that so kidnapping and hurting him was a massive waste of time."

Clint looked at Steve in bewilderment while the former Army icon looked disturbed.

Sam mutters while turning away from the three new arrivals, "That explains so much."

"He was just telling us about you," Natasha tells her looking away from the pliers and into her eyes with a blank expression that shouldn't've given anything away.

"It's because he was told to do so. Whatever embellishments he makes are his own" Shuri tells her looking at the man that is now on his knees while still tied to the chair. Shuri could just barely see a knife cutting away at his bonds.

"So, you're telling us that you purposefully let him walk around on his own just to finally tell us that you're the Head of, not only Wakanda but Talokan as well? You know the cops and feds are going to have a field day with this news."

"That's if they ever find out" Erik teases his gold-toothed smile flashing at the Avengers menacingly.

"You're outnumbered here," Thor says tensely.

Looking around as if he's trying to find something on the walls, the chair Namor had been tied to falls onto the floor after he stands up from it.

"I knew he had another knife somewhere" Clint comments to Natasha who just shrugs.

Extra tidbit: Wrinkling his nose and moving it around a bit with his right hand, Namor tells Shuri as she walks passed him, "That always itches, and now I have to pierce my nose…again!"

"Stop complaining, at least we got your plug back this time," Shuri says scolding him.

Okay so I’ve had this prompt(?)/idea(?)/plot outline(?) stuck in my mind ever since Black Panther gave me Erik “Killmonger” Stevens🥺 to drool over so here it goes:

• Post CW: Peter and Tony have been together for almost 2 years, Peter’s convinced their endgame cuz they’re both so in love. WRONG, Peter discovers that Tony’s been cheating on him with Steve for the past 6 months when Tony moans Steve’s name during sex.

• Tony tries to apologize, excuses start flying out his ass, “Baby you know you’re the only one for me.” Peter, against his better judgement, relents and they try to make it work.

• Not even a week goes by, he walks in on Tony and Steve. Tony tries to appease him but NOPE, Peter packs his bags and leaves.

• On May’s suggestion, Peter goes on sabbatical to Oakland where he decides to volunteer at the Wakandan embassy. There he starts to heal and stuff. Then, he gets the chance to actually go to Wakanda for immersion.

• In Wakanda he meets the newly healed and inducted prince N’Jadaka (Erik). It’s rough at first, Erik is closed off and Peter’s just starting to find himself again but they make it work. They complement each other and they’re beautiful together.

• 4 years later, SI is in need of Vibranium so Pepper and Tony, who’s not looking so great cuz him and Steve are just not okay, travel to Wakanda to negotiate with the Foreign Relations co chair and COO of the Wakandan Vibranium Distribution

• They arrive in a lavish conference room, set up their presentation/proposal, the door opens and a Dora Milajae announces the arrival of “the soon-to-be Prince Consort of Wakanda, the fiancée of Prince N’Jadaka, the Foreign Relations co chair and the COO of the WVD, Dr. Peter Benjamin Parker.”

• “Good morning ladies and gentlemen, shall we start the presentation? I have a meeting with our wedding planner and a cake tasting this afternoon. Who knew planning for a royal wedding was going to be so much work?” Everybody present laughs except for Tony.

• Because there in front of Tony is the man whose heart he broke looking absolutely breathtaking with a dazzling smile on his face and his heart aches remembering how much he fucked this up not just for himself but also for SI.

Marvel's Injustice.

My pitches for NRS inevitable Marvel game if they go the Injustice route.

Story ideas.

Scenario 1. Disassembled. Tony Stark's suit of armor around the world phase goes into complete and full effect. Get the right event to trigger it and I think Tony could be sent into Superman mode where he establishes a regime for the world’s protection. Tony takes full control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the world by force. Captain America would rise up and lead a band full of heroes who are willing to do what's right and stop Tony Stark and the regime. Final boss fight. We choose between either Cap or Iron Man. If we choose Cap, then we fight Superior Iron Man, if we choose Iron Man, then Cap.

Scenario 2. Avengeance:Fall Of Midgard. human like Norman Osborn or Red Skull sneaking into Asgard with Loki’s help to kill Odin and Lady Sif. Events would manipulate the death of Jane Foster. Blaming Asgard and Midgard for not dealing with Loki and his associates for their many schemes, Thor decides to make changes. Thor is broken and the once Mighty son of Odin, turns back to his old ways and becomes a despotic king of Asgard. Thor wages war on Midgard. Years later Thor has taken over the entire world as well as Asgard, and rules it with an iron fist. Villains that don’t agree with him or opposes him are seen as threats are sent to the negative zone. All mutants are forced to register to work for the regime or be depowered permanently and imprisoned. Final boss fight is Odinforce Thor.

Scenario 3. Dark Reign. The Skrull Royal Family, escaping from the Mad Titan Thanos, strikes a deal with Norman Osborne to conquer Earth in a secret invasion. Queen Veranke of the Skrulls kidnaps and poses as the Scarlet Witch to destroy the Avengers from within. In the chaos, Norman betrays the aliens in order to get his hands on their technology. He is able to place his own Dark Avengers as the new Earth's Mightiest Heroes with the aid of Loki's illusions. Loki manipulates Norman to lead a siege of Asgard using advanced Skrull weapons. The Avengers must reunite along with new heroes to topple Osborne and Loki's Dark Reign once and for all. Post-Credits Scene: As Loki's manipulations come crashing down, he pulls a last ditch effort and influences the traumatized Wanda to use her reality-warping powers. He forces her to say the 3 words "No more heroes". Final boss fight. Iron Patriot.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) My review

From the first movie that came out in 2018, the Black Panther has always been a symbol for the strength of the African community and the people of color in general. It has definitely made an impact on the movie culture. When people see each other, they cross their hands to form an X in front of their chest, it’s the way that king T’Challa greets his people. Following the success of the first movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever by the director Ryan Coogler came out last week with really high expectations from the audiences.

First of all, we should acknowledge what role Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has to play in the MCU and the things that director Ryan Coogler has to do in this movie. Black Panther 2 is the last movie of the MCU Phase 4, and most people already know, Marvel’s haven’t done a very good job in this phase. Most movies like Thor: Love and Thunder or Black Widow have really disappointed the MCU fans so Black Panther 2 will be the last hope of Kevin Feige to gain the MCU fans trust again. It also has to be a good enough tribute to the beloved Chadwick Boseman who played the Black Panther from the first movie and had sadly died in 2020 after a private fight with cancer. Black Panther 2 obviously has to carry lots of expectations from the media but I think that Ryan Coogler has done a great job.

The thing that the Marvel producers have done the most successfully in this movie is the soundtrack. Under the supervision of the talented composer Ludwig Goransson, a person who has composed music for movies like Turning Red (2022) or Venom (2018), the soundtrack of Black Panther 2 is absolutely amazing. The song “Con La Brisa” made the city of Talocan look majestic; it goes so well with the theme of a mysterious, underwater city. I personally have to play this song over and over because of how good it is. The transition from “Interlude” by Stormzy to “Alone” By Burna Boy is also really smooth. The song “Alone” alone, plays such a huge role in expressing Shuri’s emotions in that part of the movie when she’s just lost all her family and getting ready to take revenge. The soundtrack is a big plus to my cinematic experience.

Director Ryan Coogler has also done a great tribute to Chadwick Boseman when the Black Panther’s funeral has really expressed the Wakanda culture when “Death is not the end”. The inner fight of Shuri has also been described very well, the audiences can see her suffer after her brother’s death and the music again did a great job in expressing the people’s emotion in the scene. Shuri’s development to be the next Black Panther is also very convincing, the director didn’t rush the process but instead pushed Shuri in a position when she had no other choice but to become the next Black Panther to protect her country. It is a reasonable move by the writers. Killmonger's cameo is a big plus of the movie too.

Although I love this movie, there are still places for improvements. With the time of 2 hours and 41 minutes, the producers could’ve done a better job. There are parts of the movie that were kind of lengthy, especially in the middle part. I understand that Marvel has to put details to make the movie connect with other movies in the MCU but the parts that have Everett Ross were a little unnecessary, this character’s story could’ve been cut off and won’t leave much errors to the whole plot. At least, they still use the time to build a good enough storyline for Shuri. Another thing that Ryan Coogler could’ve done better is the character’s appearance. The suit for Riri Williams, who is introduced as the next Iron Man, could’ve been designed more carefully, although the suit is meant for a teenage girl, but it kind of reminds me of Power Rangers suits. Tom Holland’s Spiderman has a significantly better first appearance or even Tony Stark’s first time in the MCU made much more impact, especially the suit. Ironheart’s suit might be better than the Mark 1 cause it was made in vibranium, but the design and the CGI of the suit can be improved. I hope that the producers will invest more time and effort in Riri’s suit in her own series next year. The fighting scenes between Namor and Shuri also didn’t quite satisfy me, Namor is a very strong competitor and their fighting scenes could be a bit longer and more memorable. As the Black Panther, Shuri has a disadvantage is that her body is thinner than most superheroes, especially for a warrior like the Black Panther so it makes the action scene not as impactful or as strong as the first movie.

Black Panther 2 really raised my hope for Marvel after a disappointing phase 4 with low quality movies. For me, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever did save phase 4 and it is one of the best superhero movies this year just right below The Batman. But as an MCU fan, I’m really glad that finally Marvel can produce a good movie again and I hope that they can keep this quality throughout the rest of the whole Multiverse saga. I would recommend everybody to watch it as soon as possible while it is still in theaters. The performance of Letitia Wright is really amazing, she did a great job in expressing a young woman with so much pain and responsibility to handle as the princess of the most powerful country of the world. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman.
