“Whiteness has a way of centering itself: Even when stories aren’t centered on white people, they’re still largely considered a key part of what’s considered a “general audience.” Sterlin Harjo and the writers of Reservation Dogs don’t come across as interested in translating their worldview for anyone. It’s on the audience to do the work of understanding the series’ portrayal of the Indigenous experience, and placing it in context. Like a lot of great art, Reservation Dogs challenges its audience with wit and style to look in spaces that have long been ignored, and identify with experiences that are outside their own. Its Indigenous representation isn’t cloying nor self-important — instead, it’s refreshingly indifferent”
Joshua Rivera, “Taika Wkiti’s Reservation Dogs dives into the meaner side of his humor,” Polygon (August 13, 2021).

taikawaititi Rez Dogz is coming. I am so proud to be a part of something that amplifies indigenous voices and especially proud to be making it with my brother @sterlinharjo.
@fxnetworks reservation dogs has officially been ordered to series. It tells the comedic story of four native teenagers in rural oklahoma who spend their days committing crime... and fighting it. From co-creators @sterlinharjo and @taikawaititi, with @dpharaohwoonatai, @kdeveryjacobs, @paulinaalexisofficial & lane factor as the leads.

Watched the first ep of "Reservation Dogs" and I am in love!! Also, protect these babies at all costs!
Funny, bittersweet, and the kind of sweet absurdity and satire that Taika Waititi seems to bring to all his projects. The film allusions and intertextuality are everywhere, so there are lots of great Easter Eggs. Besides the obvious call out to Tarantino, there is a great Platoon homage and a nod to one of my favorite Fantasy films. (It gets explained so I won't spoil.)
Anywho, love the actors and I'm thinking at least one of these characters is queer, (Willie Jack), so bonus. But obviously. there is Indigenous representation all over the production and that is something I'm happy to see.
Really liking this start.
"In recent years, we’ve seen coming-of-age. stories on TV through the lens of the. adventure-comedy (Netflix’s On My Block), the horror/sci-fi hybrid (Stranger Things), and the teen sex romp (Sex Education). Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo might make the boldest play with the “bildungsroman by way of a heist film” approach of Reservation Dogs. Ahead of its premiere, the new FX series was hailed, and rightly so, for its commitment to Indigenous talent, on and offscreen. Even the photographer for the show’s gallery images (an example of which you’ll find below) is Native American: Ryan RedCorn, who’s from the Osage Nation. Reservation Dogs is making important strides, not least of which is being one of the best new shows of the year." -Danette Chavez, The AV Club

...will be updated as the season progresses!
You should watch it in Hulu if you can but let's be honest there's way too many competing streaming websites, too many causes you can donate your money to instead of the Disney media mega-conglomerate.
That being said, please do hype about the show on social media, give credit to Sterlin Harjo as well as Taika Waititi, and shout out the countless indigenous people behind the camera.

The upshot has been a flourishing of new opportunities for Hollywood’s small but growing community of Native creators and performers, many of whom worked on both shows. They are determined to ensure that this long-awaited moment for Native American representation on television is not a fleeting one.
