I'm grateful for everyone who has supported me and drawn me art, but there are also tons of AUs out there that I greatly admire - ones that have helped me stay inspired, that have given me motivation to keep going, and ones that have become dear friends!

fucking around with my Steven Universe AU Gems and this pearl had me in a grip with her design possibilities - I seriously fucked her up her previous design & it haunted me, and with her diamond getting fully redesigned 2 times it didn't really help in keeping the right vibe. being the oldest surviving pearl among the diamonds, she has seen an era of repression and sorrow among the diamonds - caught in the crossfire of her diamond's tears. With the forced responsibility of Indigo's court during her depressive episodes, and the countless replacements of Red's pearl, she was left tainted with despair. To forget the endless days of anxiety and boredom, she took up her time with Indigo's reserve of her rare clouds of joy - her worries and imperfections washed away in euphoria. Very little of Indigo's tasks are accomplished by her anymore, most of it gets transferred to the other courts.

EPISODE ONE: Cookie Crumble

(Side note: This is essentially a pilot!) It was a bright summer morning as the sun rose over the horizon and shined it's light down onto the beach. A little past the beach sat the temple, where the crystal gems remained. Steven wakes up from his slumber and sits up in his bed, kicking the covers and blankets off as he stood up, being in his pajamas as he slipped on some slippers and began to walk down the steps toward his living room. He glances to the couch which is positioned to his right and finds Amethyst sleeping there. Not wanting to wake her, Steven would walk over to his bathroom and open the door, entering the room. He'd do his daily routine; Brush his teeth, hair, and shower. This all took about 30 minutes, and when he came out he would be slightly surprised to see Amethyst gone. He'd walk to the couch and look around, before getting startled as Amethyst tackled him from out behind the couch, causing Steven to yell in surprise, although it quickly turned into a chuckle. "You scared me, Amethyst!" Amethyst laughs and puts her arm around Steven, and rubbed her knuckles into his hair, giving him a noogie. This causes Steven to giggle. Not too soon after, Pearl and Garnet would enter the room from the warp room, having just warped into the temple from one of their missions. Steven is quick to run up to Garnet to greet her and Pearl, jumping up and down excitedly. "Hey, garnet! Did you guys bring me anything?" To which garnet hands him a rock quietly, and Steven accepts it into his hands. He beams, happy as can be. "Wow, a rock! Thanks, Garnet!" Steven stuffs it into his pocket and runs out the door and onto the beach, heading toward Beach city. Garnet smiles and fixes her glasses, glancing toward Pearl and Amethyst. PT 1 | PT 2
