proud of you

you didn’t see it coming.

no one saw it coming.

it was going to be a not so simple and easy match but it was supposed to be a normal match.

jey fighting roman.

and it turned out to be jey fighting roman, solo and jimmy. you knew solo was going to interfere and jey knew it too and he was ready for that possibility but he never expected his own brother, his own twin to turn his back on him.

you were watching the match behind the scenes and everyone, you and your friends and his colleagues were rooting for him.

but you all couldn’t contain the gasps and the shock when you saw jimmy taking jey’s body away from roman.

it wasn’t right. it wasn’t fair.

“what the fuck is he doing…” you whispered. you knew nothing about that and jey was as confused as you all were.

and so the match continue but you saw how tired jey was and how disappointed he was. so roman won, again.

you couldn’t stand the idea of seeing roman with the titles once again. someone needed to beat his ass but you knew he wasn’t going to defend his titles on easy matches like smackdown, he wanted something big, a large and loud crowd and you knew that if something was going to happen, it was going to happen at wrestlemania, next year and you were losing all your patience.

you knew jey deserve to be champion and everyone agreed with you. you couldn’t believe that roman was still the champion, but again, he can’t win a match without getting help.

and now he was alone.

no roman, no solo and no jimmy.

jey was heartbroken, when he came back into the backstage. he wanted the title and he wanted to prove everyone that he was deserving of that and he knew, the moment the match ended that he it was all over, the possibility to prove himself, the chance of getting the same appreciation roman got, it was all over.

“hey baby…” you whispered, walking slowly toward him.

he didn’t say a word. he didn’t need to say anything. he just lost himself in your embrace the moment you opened your arms.

that’s all he needed.

“i’m so proud of you baby…” you hugged him tight and he held you close to his chest.

“i lost…” he whispered “i lost…”

“but you did so great baby” you looked into his eyes “everyone was cheering for you, you did an amazing job”

“but i lost…” he whispered again.

“it wasn’t a fair match…jey it was you against three people, you did your best and everyone saw that” you wiped a tear that rolled out of his eye.

“jimmy…i can’t - i don’t know that to say” jey was as shocked as everyone was.

“no one saw that coming…” you said “everyone was shocked as you were…no one would have expected to jimmy turn on you…”

“i really wanted to prove myself - i really wanted the title, and everyone to be proud of me…” he said honestly.

“everyone is proud of you jey…it wasn’t a fair match and you know it, three against one? you should have won and you know that, but unfortunately it didn’t go as planned…that doesn’t mean you’re less, you’re amazing and i love you so much, you’re an amazing wrestler, i know that, you know that and your fans know that too…i’m so proud of you jey, i am” you said, your eyes never leaving his bigger ones.

he looked at you completely speechless, no words could explain what he was feeling in that moment but it was glad he had someone like you that was able to keep him grounded.

“thank you…for being by my side, always” was the only thing he said. words couldn’t explain how much he loved you and how thankful he was for your support.

“always, i’ll always stand by your side jey…” you softly smiled at him and closed your eyes when you saw him leaning his lips towards yours. it was a soft kiss, almost like a “thank you”.

you knew it was going to be hard for him, but no matter what you knew you would never leave his side and that he could always count on you.
