"Word of Honor" Inside Story
"Zhou Zhishu (Ah-Xu) is one of the most varied roles I have acted. There are also changes depending on the role, and he is a person whose condition and status change a lot of the time. I can't perfectly expressing it. I can only say that I acted as Zhou Zishu, which I understood. "Gentle, strong, seemingly inconsistent but perfect." That how you describe Ah-xu, but as for myself, I wouldn't be as kind as he (laugh). In the future, I would like to become a kind and strong person like Ah-Xu. Gong Jun was a very serious person. Sun Xilun, who played Zhang Chengling, is very cute he has aspirations and talent. I think the atmosphere at the site was much fun. You can see the official making of "Word of Honor" for it (laughs)."

The seller's listing for this fig (machine translated) is, "The cat's back and the little blue boy who delivered beef jerky", but that's a bit too much for a title!
This is the second fig version of the beef jerky story I'm posting about. You can read the first fig version (Run to You) here.
As I mention in the other post, the beef jerky story dates back to February 20, 2021, when Gong Jun was filmed making himself late at the airport by running to buy this specialty Sichuan beef called Lao Chuan Dong. In a video taken of him buying the beef, he says he is buying it for friends. The beef has a very distinctive gift bag. Zhehan was seen the next day at the airport carrying one of the bags with his suitcase (the other friend was reportedly Sun Xilun, who played Chengling in Word of Honor).
Here's the back of the cat!
Gong Jun buying the beef jerky...
And the beef jerky on closeup itself.
This set is resin, and arrived intact instead of the delicate little handles on the beef jerky, which snapped right off.
Here's both an excellent extreme closeup of the beef jerky bag and a shot of my less-than-stellar resin glue mending job.
In my defense, I have to say this was insanely hard to glue together. The two-part resin glue that I used dries VERY quickly so that it becomes unusable to spread or work with, and then VERY slowly. So it lacked enough stickiness to stay connected at the broken edges. I ended up holding the pieces together for 20+ minutes, and then after realizing it would take a lot longer for the pieces to actually bond, I gave up and figured out a way to position the edges together on that piece of stiff packing material you see there.
In retrospect, I would have tried a superglue type glue for an instant bond, and then maybe would have tried to fill in the edges with the resin glue. But, it's at least pretty solidly on there now, and it doesn't show too much when the figs are standing smooching.
Here's their little faces. I have to admit I don't quite understand Zhehan's expression here - he's got a little tear on his right eye for some reason!
The figs are tall and narrow. The heights seem off to me, but that's because Junjun is bending down for his smooch, and Zhehan's bucket hat makes him look taller. I like how they did Junjun's hair here with the little cowlick at the top.
You can see the cowlick better here! The seller did a stellar job of portraying Zhehan in his finest baggy airport wear yet also somehow as curvaceous as usual. I really like Zhehan's hat, but I always like him in a hat on figs.
Both kiss angles! I see Zhehan's foot kind of raised up there, but these figs actually stand quite solidly.
The leader of assassin organisation "The Window of Heaven", Zhou Zishu, quits his position in pursuit of freedom with drastic measures. In his travels, he meets Wen Kexing, the leader of Ghost Valley who wants nothing but revenge. The two become entangled in various machinations within the martial arts world, and eventually become soulmates instrumental in each other's redemption. One conspiracy, two soulmates, five pieces of treasure, twenty years of grievances, and thousands of years of jianghu dreams have linked these two's destinies closely together.

Thoughts
Mom and I finished WOH a couple of days ago! To start, I think I can safely say I was beyond confused until maybe the last 10ish episodes. I do believe WOH is based off of a novel, so I’ll have to do some more research on that. I think this show was actually amazing for the amount of “touchy feely” they were able to get away with! The character dynamics were amazing and I think this cast and team did a wonderful job. I will say the ending threw me off… Like off a cliff off… If you know what happens, then you get it (iykyk). Mom and I found the hidden episode on tiktok and it gave us some closure, but for real?! I also found the Cadillac ad that gave us “closure” for a-Xiang and Weining (I cried like a baby over it). Overall, mom and I really enjoyed the show!
Our Rating
★★★★☆
(Mom said the ending killed the 5 star rating haha)

word of honor 山河令 » favorite relationships → gu xiang & zhang chengling
Cao Weining and Zhang Chengling were holding a bucket of feces each. The stink blotted out the sky. Finding joy amidst misery, Cao Weining thought: A-Xiang is really full of wit and stratagems, a Zhuge amongst womankind.
Zhang Chengling did not hold the same grand worldview. He thought that Gu Xiang lacked eight lifetimes’ worth of morals.
...
On the other hand, Military Strategist Gu covered her nose and stayed far away. After the buckets were in place, she beckoned the two over, her nose covered, and spoke to Zhang Chengling in a low voice, “Have you memorised the path I told you?”
Zhang Chengling nodded his head and said, “Be rest assured, Gu Xiang-jiejie. I won’t stumble on the Drifting Clouds Nine Palaces Steps, shifu will break my legs otherwise.”
Gu Xiang poked him in the head with the tip of her finger and said, “Take one wrong step, and you’ll become Stinky Bug Zhang.”

Little idot, did you miss me? I thought I would never see you again.
It's impossible to pick favorites among my figs, since I love each of them, but this set has a very special place in my heart.
This set is inspired by the "beef jerky" story, where Gong Jun made himself late at the airport to buy this specialty Sichuan Lao Chuan Dong beef. He is seen in a video mentioning he's buying it for friends:
The friends reportedly turned out to be Zhehan and Sun Xilun (Chengling in Word of Honor). Zhehan was seen the next day (February 21, 2021) at the airport carrying one of the bags with his suitcase.
Take note of this suitcase/bag set up, you're going to see it again really soon.
The fig maker took this delightful story and turned into an incredibly sweet, snowy night reunion scene straight out of a romance story.
Every single thing about this fig set is just perfection, starting with the beautiful artwork on the box and the matching card that comes with it:
Their faces here...ah, my heart! I really love their expressions.
The full set is comprised of a standee, the snowy base, a lamp post (with a portable battery inside!), the two figs, and the suitcase with the beef jerky bag on top.
Everything is removable. Zhehan is very cleverly held in place via magnets in his foot, and Gong Jun has footprints in the snow that he should (theoretically) settle right into. Mine were just the slightest bit off, making him much too wobbly. How is he going to stand solidly when Zhehan runs into his arms? I stuck him down with a fig sticker to keep him stable.
Although now that I think about it, I guess it's also pretty classic in romance movies for a person to not stand solidly when someone runs to them, but to fall over backwards into the snow with the person on top of them, setting up the scene for smooches and maximum romance.
Taking some angles here so you can see the full view all the way around.
Zhehan cannot stand on his own, so we're going to have a lay-flat montage here for the different sides.
I put the suitcase in there because it's detailed all the way around.
Look at the texture on Zhehan's knit cap! His puffy coat is way too cute. Junjun's rosy cheeks
Here's a close up so you can see the details even better, along with the magnet in Zhehan's foot that keeps him solidly on the base.
Speaking of the base, here it is. It's a solid slab of resin. You can see the little magnet to the right where Zhehan connects to, and you can see my fig stickers in Junjun's footprints over to the left.
The little globe battery doesn't work, unfortunately...I think it might have run itself down on the long trip over here. I'll have to get a replacement since I've seen pictures of this scene in the dark with the lamp lit up, and it's beautiful!
I put the standee against a blue background so the artwork could stand out a little better. The artwork is just delightful - it's the opposite of the figs, where we have the dog running to the cat. I love it!
Material: PVC for the figs, resin for the snowy base
Fig Count: 53
Diorama Count: 5
Snowglobe Count: 1
Rating: This romance movie would get two thumbs way up!
