In 2008, the "Super Smash Bros. Brawl American Circuit", a pre-release Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament, was held by Nintendo of America. The winner received this unique decorated Wii console as the prize, featuring images of Mario and Bowser and the tagline "THE BRAWL TO END THEM ALL..."

Now that I went through chapter 29 of Subspace Emissary, let me say that I got to give a lot of credit to King Dedede. Remember when he trophified Luigi? And when he took the trophified versions of Luigi, Ness, and Peach/Zelda? He actually did all that for a good cause!
According to Smash Bros. Dojo, King Dedede knew about Tabuu's plans and his Off Waves move. That's why he took the trophified forms of Luigi, Ness, and Peach/Zelda, so he could put those badges on them. Those are actually revival badges and not just some regular, fancy badges.
So, when Tabuu used the Off Waves move on everyone, resulting in everyone turning into a trophy, that's when the badges revive Ness and Luigi. Then they both revive the trophified King Dedede to return the favor.
And so, The Rescuers are...well, on the rescue! They revived half of the trophified fighters on Subspace. Also I named King Dedede, Luigi, and Ness' team "The Rescuers" because, well, they saved everyone from being trophified forever and ever and ever...

Online Practice Stage - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Ripped by sadkey
youtube
Man -- like -- I don't even know where to start with this one. Like I didn't have much of anything planned here - I went searching in a super old playlist and realized I'd never actually heard the rip for Brawl's Online Practice Stage theme, despite it being one of my favorite themes from the game. What awaited me was something I could've never expected.
Part trap remix, part mashup, part throw-shit-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks with several samples from all over the place, Unstable Connection is an absolutely *aggressive* banger. That aggressive, in-your-face feel was kind of the inspiration for the tentative rip name - it has an unstable, brash feel, one that's entirely unforgettable in execution. Despite not having an album release, and its ripper not having contributed anything since Season 5, Unstable Connection got two arrangements made for it for RIP² - its clear the rip had a way of really sticking in people's heads.
My capabilities of serious analysis are somewhat lacking tonight - I'll leave you with a shorter post, and an absolute banger to enjoy.
