So fanart is the way to get out of an art block, but then again, there's the high risk of getting stuck in the fast lane for me, so more Naruto fanart it is till I manage to swerve out of the line (and get stuck in the Zelda or Lord of the Rings lane I guess).

To be honest, I haven't read Boruto, mainly because I hated the designs I'd seen for the adult Naruto characters, which I still find so damn boring. Anyway, have some intermediary aged Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Iruka; I'm guessing the first three are in their thirties or something.

I actually started this picture because I wanted to rework my Sakura design, and in the end she's the one you can see the least of, lol.

Who has an idea what they're talking about?

The whumpee had never trusted the whumper, and had actively warned their teams about their suspicions- but given that they weren’t the most trusted member of the team, their concerns were shrugged off. The whumper wasn’t even meant to torture the whumpee- they just wanted to sabotage the team, but the whumpee had gotten in the way so much that torturing them was something the whumper actively went out of their way to do- and thankfully, it took a bit for the team to notice the whumpee was missing in the first place, due to the whumpee’s reputation.

Whumpee who was shunned and treated badly by their team for something they didn't do gets kicked out by said team.

Months later, the team finds out the truth, and they look for Whumpee and find them happy and well.

The team goes to apologize for their actions, and asked them to come back, only for Whumpee to smile widely... so wide it creeps out even the stoic member of the team.

"Oh, if only you knew. I was a traitor, remember? Well..."

Behind them, an army of Whumper's henchmen and Whumper approached from behind. The team shouted at Whumpee to watch out, only to watch in terror as they approached the henchmen, and hugged Whumper.

"I'm with Whumper now," Whumpee said to the shocked team. "You hurt me deeply, shunned me, and kicked me out of the team I once called family. Whumper treated me a lot better than you guys had. If you wished for me to be a traitor, you got your wish!"

The henchmen surrounded the team, their weapons out and ready to kill anyone who dared to move.

"Take them to the cells," Whumper said with a grin. "Whumpee and I will have a little talk with them."

Despite the team's protests, they were captured and taken, all by their friend whom they hurt.
