Val's started wearing more color because of Chad!!!! I specifically have one outfit for him right now that's a direct callback to Part 3. 😭

I try to think about color, usually when they're compromising on something I try to I have them mix in a bit of their partner's color into the outfit. (Val is green, Chad is Red)

I think there's a sort of building tension in glance, an argument over dinner about nothing important. I like having them talk with their eyes whenever I personally pose them out.

They got to know one another when he was escorting her back and forth from the Island of Woe for research purposes. She also gets along very well with Ortho which brings her into Idia’s sphere quite a bit. I don’t think he would consider her a friend, but he’s firmly filed into her “PROTECT” folder. Post-NRC he becomes a trusted consultant and peer in her work.

Yuuri: Yuuri adores Idia. Since the whole Book 6 situation she’s gone out of her way to try and include him more often. That said…she does enjoy teasing him perhaps a bit too much…

Ara: Despite respecting Malleus for his obvious power and command of respect, Ara has never held a proper conversation with him, so she reserves making a judgement.
