And I have a very specific favorite more low-key Sanji scene that I've been having a really hard time finding because I remembered the dialogue in Catalan (I used to watch it dub) and I didn't remember the arc. But! Turns out is right after Arabasta, episode 131. And I know it looks like an average simping Sanji scene but I SWEAR in the Catalan Dub it sounds so sweet. And he's the cutest. And idk why it stayed with me but I think I remember this quote almost every fucking day of my life.

AND THIS IS BULLSHIT BECAUSE IN CATALAN THEY TRANSLATED IT AS:

Nami: The right ridgeline is 42 degrees... Sanji: I'm the one at 42 degrees but it's the fever of love!! Why don't you draw a map of my heart, my dearest?!

And to me, it sounds way better. Believe me. Please. I am not crazy. Tell me I'm not the only one who finds this extremely cute.

I just personally think it's one of Sanji's more original simping phrases and I swear there are a lot of more important/character-driven Sanji scenes I love but somehow this scene has a special place in my heart. Don't ask me why because I don't know.

since his heart condition had gotten worse, it wasn't often that he ran around and did a whole bunch of things.

but if it was for booster? ted made the extra effort anyways.

he'd given booster a grocery list to keep him occupied while ted took the afternoon to decorate, and bake a cake for booster. he wasn't a professional by any means ... but he was competent enough to follow a recipe.

with all the energy he could muster, he blew a couple of balloons up, tying them to different spots around the house. when he'd heard booster unlocking the door finally, he was putting the last of the frosting on the now cooled cake.

"hey, boos." he grinned wide, opening his arms to signal for the taller of the two to come give him a hug. "happy birthday. i hope you don't think i forgot."

as time went on, booster's birthday took a backseat in the grand scheme of things he had to worry about. which was shocking because a day all about booster? god he would be insufferable. but he'd chosen to be mature, acknowledge it then continue about his day like it was normal.

which was fine, he was just happy to be able to spend time with ted, even if ted didn't seem to recall the day, but that was perfectly fine, boos was sure he was busy with more important things which was why he just smiled and accepted the grocery list. they could hang out later.

after fighting for his life in the post-christmas wasteland that was the store, he returned with his list completed and his ego only slightly damaged. "sorry for the delay, it's a lawless land in those streets. almost fought an old lady for the bread--. oh." the decor finally caught his eye and those definitely weren't up when he left. "oh teddy.." he was absolutely not about to cry, in fact he's pointedly ignoring the tears trying to form in his eyes. he puts the groceries down first, then he made quick work of all but teleporting over to ted and wrapping him in a big hug. "you didn't have too, i would've been okay with.. well, anything as long as you're there-- is that cake? did you make a cake? okay. now i might cry."
