The Speech.

The prep. Before the actual speech, Ludvig is trying to reason with Wilhelm by asking him to pretend, pretend well enough so that they will believe you. Pretending is a big theme that keeps coming back through out the show. Eric asks Wille to pretend and keep up appearances and Kristina asks him to pretend that it is not him in the video. I think when Wille keeps saying, can’t I have a normal life, what he means mainly is - Can I stop pretending?

The seating. It is well acknowledged that “can’t you switch places” is a big foreshadowing moment. One little thing to add to that, is that its Wille that takes Eric place. We can see that Eric is visibly confused that Wille is sitting in his spot. Because Eric knows exactly where his place is, on that couch, and in general as a crown prince. On the camera recording them, we can actually see that Ludvig is not even in the shot, I guess that shows his importance in all this. From the technical perspective, Wilhelm is asked to move so he can be in the middle of the shot. 

The Discomfort. Wilhelm struggling to start his speech, makes me physically uncomfortable. We can also see that this is making his family uncomfortable. They all look away from him. But I love the difference between Eric and Kristina here. Eric keeps turning back to Wille, silently supporting him, While the Queen is impatient and literally nudges him to hurry up. The discomfort created here is very deliberate. In fact Young Royals is very good at making us, the viewer, feel uncomfortable. Felice touching herself, the initiation, and so many scenes with August. It is setting up the whole show that we are not going to just see the polished version of this royal life, we are going to experience the unflattering, raw truth alongside them. 

The speech itself. The whole thing was clearly written by and vetted by someone else, so the words itself don’t mean much. They are all almost all lies. I do find it interesting that they make him say that his family is disappointed in him before saying he is disappointed in himself. That feels odd. I welcome any insight here. And when he says that the stress made him do what he did, I don’t think there is much truth to that either. We know Wille likes to party, we know he is quick to anger. Sure stress can make you angry, but if you are getting dragged around by your collar, anyone would get angry.

The fourth wall break, that bookend the show are very well analyzed by multiple other amazing people and I don’t think I have to much to add here. He is saying, “I see you, are you enjoying seeing me squirm in this cage? come along then.” Also to bring in an earlier point, you are supposed to feel uncomfortable here. 

That got way too long. Congrats if you made it to the end.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? Job Chapter 27

Job starts talking about the fate of the wicked and I'm confused

Did Job and his friends switch positions? Or is he coming around to agree with them. First off, he still says that he's innocent. He isn't speaking blasphemy. He's not saying anything that is out of bounds. He's truly in pain. He's truly speaking on behalf of humanity against his friends who seem to be too immersed in the G-d justice mindset to have any empathy.

But then it sounds as if he is agreeing with them. He's saying everything that they said back to them. When he says "let my enemy be like the wicked?" whom is he referring to? His friends that came to fight with him? Satan?

Then he goes on about the fate of the wicked and he sounds like his friends from discourse two who wouldn't stop saying that the wicked eventually fail and lose everything.

Is he mocking them? Agreeing with them? Is he being sarcastic or has he come around to their way of thinking?

Um...seriously what fucking book are you reading?

The part in the middle where he askes "will they call upon G0d at all times?" might mean that his friends are going to face the same trials. Only that seems to be what they are saying too

But then Job says that God punishes the wicked. There's a long discourse on how Job punishes the wicked. It makes no fucking sense in context unless Job is saying that the wicked are his friends. Or is he going "Yes, the wicked are going to lose everything, but I'm not wicked and your implication that I am wicked is nasty."

Fucking hell, that completely contradicts everything that Job said to his friends in previous chapters.

I'm still holding out hope that he's being sarcastic and repeating what his friends said in order to tell them that they are fucking idiots.

I realized from lot of tags and comments lot of you are unaware that the underlying issue is BIGGER than just tumblr. I even skipped the part about dress code bc its the same on every app now, nothing special unfortunately, the middle FINGER was news. you just never read the ToS and the reason is US LAWS, Credit card company monopoly, advertisers wanting everything to be "family friendly" etc and things are only going to get worse if you don't start opposing and repeling the torjan horse laws.
