Dick drops Damian off at Joey’s to babysit and Damian is so pressed on the car ride there. Like first of all he doesn’t NEED a babysitter and even if he did why can’t he just go with Dick? Dick is so hateful, he preaches all that bullshit about love and tolerance and care for family but now that Damian needs him he’s abandoning him??? To a STRANGER?! Dick will rue this day, the day of his ultimate BETRAYAL.
Dick goes to pick Damian up and he refuses to leave.
#he’s covered in paint and there’s 70s music going on in the background and if Richard picks him up rn it’s proof he doesn’t love him so….#whenever literally anything happens he demands to go to Joey’s to be babysat.#I am but a child Grayson. I cannot be on my own. it’s dangerous.#literally everyone but Jason is at the manor rn.#Joey ofc joins Damian to gang up on dick#‘what if something happens and the only way it can be solved is by him being possessed by someone with more experience hm? what then?’#that’s his son now#dick wonders if this is how bruce feels sometimes#Joey visits wayne manor but it’s not the same#(bc Joey’s place doesn’t have any bad memories associated unlike WM but this ain’t about angst so)#Dick is chill yknow like he KNEW Damián and Joey would get along he’s not feeling replaced at all#…until he sees Damian rocking overalls. he only started wearing them after meeting Joey and before that he would’ve killed himself before-#-even considering. but NOW?!#oh hc that Joey regularly wears overalls btw. last tag doesn’t make sense without that#anyways Damian is trying to get dick and Joey together now. it literally makes the most and when dick is like m#‘bro u cannot do that’ Damian is like ‘I thought u wanted me to be happy…’ and joeys like ‘I DID hear u say that (lying)’#Damian may be a child of divorce but he refuses to be a child of two idiots who didn’t even realize they were in love. embarrassing.#Joey absolutely let’s Damian be a kid he introduces him to fingerpainting and he goes wild#personal hc that’s totally not projection that Damian feels like he not only has to master everything but do it at 100% every time period#Joey is like no bro like ik the process of getting a painting right is satisfying but u can draw a squiggly line and you’ll be fine I swear#it takes Damian a while bc he gets it mentally but he physically can’t like he feels so much shame at the thought of smth ‘imperfect’#everything Damian draws goes on the fridge and the walls and in frames around Dick and joeys apartment bc duh#but all three of them have an adoration for the fucked up bee Damian fingerpainted with wonky lines a goofy smile and the colors bleeding-#-out the lines.#all of this is like when Damian is 11 to me like ik he is older now but they kept him in such a wack environment I need to fix it#anyways

Vampire!Dabi Headcanon's
Vampire!Dabi who you meet purely by chance on your town's boardwalk late one evening. He's out terrorizing the other townsfolk with the rest of his gang when you see him, and you find yourself instantly drawn to him and his dark charm.
Vampire!Dabi who has to be the most handsome man you've ever seen, with his jet black hair, flawless pale skin and bright turquoise eyes that seem to hypnotize you the longer you stare at them.
Vampire!Dabi who invites you to join him and his boys for a late night stroll, but you decline since there's something off-putting about them, but you can't put your finger on what it is.
Vampire!Dabi who you run into again on the boardwalk, only this time he's alone. You both end up talking for hours, and in that time, you tell him about your old life in the city that you had to leave behind due to your shitty ex-boyfriend.
Vampire!Dabi who doesn't outwardly show it, but his blood boils hearing about your ex. Instead, he forces himself to stay calm and offers to take you out to meet the rest of his gang under the pretense of introducing you to some new friends since you clearly didn't have any here.
Vampire!Dabi who had every intention of biting and draining you dry when he first met you, but finds that he doesn't want to do that the more time he spends around you. You make him feel the closest he's felt to being human in a long time, and he can't decide whether that's a good thing or not.
Vampire!Dabi who ends up taking you to meet the rest of his gang, but warns them ahead of time that if any of them so much as look at you in a way he doesn't like, he'll split them open faster then they can blink.
Vampire!Dabi who can't help but inwardly smile as his gang takes to you almost immediately (Toga and Twice especially), happy that his found family gets along well with you.
Vampire!Dabi who ends up giving you his phone number before you go, already knowing that he's not going to drain the life out of you like he's done to so many of his past victims.
Vampire!Dabi who has to make excuse after excuse about why you can't meet up durring the day, and why there are so many missing person fliers posted around town, knowing full well that he's behind at least half of them.
Vampire!Dabi who receives a phone call from you late one night begging him for help, as your ex boyfriend managed to track you down and was trying to force his way into your apartment.
Vampire!Dabi who doesn't even hesitate to kick your door in, rip your ex away from you, and shift into his true form before mauling your ex right in front of you.
Vampire!Dabi who does his absolute damndest to keep his monstrous true form hidden (except when he's hunting), has shock white hair instead of the pitch black you're used to, and is a mess of burnt skin held together by surgical staples - a reminder of his past life and how he died.
Vampire!Dabi who once he's disposed of your ex, grabs you and hauls you back to his lair before you can protest. He can't very well have you running away now, can he.
Vampire!Dabi who tries to answer your questions best he can without exposing himself too much, expects you to be screaming for help, but to his surprise; you're much calmer then he expected you to be. Hilariously, you're more greatful to him then anything else, though you're not sure what you're going to tell the police concerning the chaos that unfolded in your apartment.
Vampire!Dabi who tells you point blank he's not going to let you go now that you know his secret; also promises you that he'll never hurt you, and he won't turn you into what he is against your will, unlike him.
Vampire!Dabi who admits to you that he cares about you too much to even think about putting you through the hell he experienced in his past life, and what he went through when he was first turned, though he tries to spare you the gory details as much as possible.
Vampire!Dabi who promises that if you keep his secret, he'll look after you. He doesn't want to keep you prisoner against your will after all - he doesn't want you to hate him. That being said, he's too selfish to let you leave indefinitely either.
Vampire!Dabi who takes you by the hand and tells you with all the sincerity he has left: "I may be a monster, but I certainly won't treat you like one." And god help you, you believe him.
Vampire!Dabi who after several years of you asking, ends up biting you - becoming your sire (affectionately), and you his bride - tying you both together for an eternity.
Vampire!Dabi who may be seen as a monster to the rest of the world, is your hero, and your enternal companion.
Vampire!Dabi who wouldn't have it any other way.
Just a few little things to look forward to in my Vampire!Dabi fic! God help me he's a little feral in this one and I love it.
It's very much inspired by The Lost Boys lol.

Love- story tropes;
Characters; Rindou Haitani, Ran Haitani, Seishu ‘Inupi’ Inui, Hajime Kokonoi.
Warnings; intoxication, a little Angst, not proofread;
a/n; my fav tropes~
Tumblr media
Rindou Haitani — best friends brother;
You two met about 2 months after you met Ran, his elder brother.
Since they do almost everything together, the brothers have two separate friend groups to have at least a bit of privacy.
You were introduced to Rans friends through a friend of yours and clicked with him instantly.
One time while your entire group was hanging out you spilled a drink on your shirt and asked Ran if you could wash up at his house since he conveniently lives near by.
When you stepped into his home, you were surprised to see his brother, which you didn’t know he had, there.
Because you met Ran as a friend of a friend and the topic of conversation never came up in front of you, you had no idea what your so called bestie did in his alone time and neither did you know of Rindou.
But you were positively surprised seeing the handsome younger Haitani. He just wore a hoodie and some sweatpants, yet you were overwhelmed by his looks.
When he noticed your presence he was very confused what some stranger was doing in his house. After you explained everything he showed you the way to the bathroom and left to go to his room. Soon after you left as well, but insisted the next time you saw ran That you hang out at his place.
You two started being at their place more often so you’d run into Rindou More often.
Ran didnt question anything, but you were developing a little crush. Over time Rindou started reciprocating those feelings and your rather small encounters developed into you and him talking more and completely ignoring ran. Which made him Kinde mad lol.
Soon ran also noticed the way your relationship was developing and made teasing remarks That First got Shot down by both of you until Rindou was forced encouraged to finally confessing his feelings.
Ran Haitani — Enemies to lovers;
You first met because your Little Brother was Part of a Gang That the Haitani Brothers recently joined.
With everything im Your Power you tried to talk Your Brother out of being in a gang, which didn’t work. So you showed up at the gang hangout quiet often to try dragging him home. That got people to make fun of your Brother, including Ran.
When Ran would make jokes about your efforts and that would make you Start bickering with him.
You hated him. Everything about him, everything he stands for.
He encouraged and lived the same dangerous life of your Brother, who you just wanted to protect. Why couldn’t he understand? Why did he make fun of how hard you were trying?
His Life was probably so easy That he would take Your fears as lighthearted, you thought.
One day Your Brother was nowhere to be found at the usual hangout spot. You were worried sick. When Ran noticed you and the lack of screaming toward Your Brother he went up to you to investigate.
As a bigo Brother himself he understood the situation you were in and decided to not make any unnecessary remarks and put his pride aside to help you Look for him. It was surprisingly his offer.
The two of you went around the City to spots where your Brother could potentially be at.
While you were walking it was at first silence, until one sparked up a conversation and it was weirdly - nice? He was actually likable. He made some funny jokes and listened to what you had to say.
He was so different than you Imagined. You always got the impression that he’s a brutal stupid bully without a heart, but he’s not like that at all. I mean he’s no saint but he’s Not As Bad As you thought.
Could you potentially like him?
After Your Brother was found a couple days passed and imagine who was ringing your doorbell with a smirk on his face, asking you out. ;)
Seishu ‘Inupi’ Inui — She fell first, he fell harder;
You were in the Same grade since elementary School, but never really talked.
If the math lessons were boring you again you’d spend Your Time sneaking glances at the pretty blonde. You may not know each other on a personal level, but you’ve always had a little crush on him.
Before he went to juvie no one really Knew about his Gang Life since he tried to hide it in School.
You liked his calm demeanor and small gentle smile he’d show every now and then. And even though you Never knew about his After School activities you’ve always thought there’s a tough side to him.
In the class he was Never popular nor an outsider. He didnt exactly have Friends, rather he got along with some and spend the breaks with them.
After he came back from Juvie and his secrets out everyone avoided him like the plague. They feared him.
The Same Boy you still saw as cold on the outside but warm and friendly on the inside, the Same Boy that you’ve known since he was a innocent child and struggled with English class. That was the Boy they feared.
Aside from everyone else’s reaction of ignoring him now, you were different. In Your eyes hes still the Same. You believe that whatever is going on in his live must have a reason that he doesn’t need to share with the Rest of the class.
You’re the only one Not turning away immediately when he’s just looking in your direction. And he notices.
One day you find the courage to talk to him, thinking he Must be lonely at School. And he may Not Show it but it genuinely made him very happy.
He used to Not notice you like this, but he’s always thought of you As the prettiest girl in class and may has noticed how you Look at him from time to time.
And now your kindness made him open his eyes to the absolut catch you are. The more you two Talk the More he enjoys the sound of your laugh, and loves listening to your rambles about the Most Random of Topics You’re so passionate about.
He finds himself absolutely in love.
Hajime Kokonoi — Sunshine & Grumpy;
Your Love Story happens After he Lost Inupi and eventually got over Akane.
After he parted ways with his childhood best friend he Never thought he’d find someone who’d give him the feeling of enjoying someone’s presence again, but here you Are.
You met while he was walking home after a Meeting in the middle of the night, where he even though he’d never admit it was feeling pretty lonely.
You were walking the same way After having a couple Drinks with Your Friends and noticed how tired the guy next to you looked. Being the bubbly and a bit tipsy Person you Are you asked if everything is alright. Usually you wouldn’t talk to a complete stranger alone outside while it’s dark but somehow the alcohol in your system pushed your sense of safety aside.
He didn’t answer and gave you a little side eye yet you just kept on talking, when he noticed how you were obviously intoxicated he decided to escort you Home As you kept talking to him.
He brought you up to your apartment door and tried to leave, which you didn’t let Happen until he gave you his number. He eventually gave in and tipped his number into your phone.
The next morning you cringed remembering your encounter and decided to apologize over Text.
When he saw the Text and thought about last night he didn’t perceive your talkative nature as annoying and also Kinde enjoyed it .
He texted back and so began Your friendship which formed into a relationship faster than thought.
To him you were never a replacement for anyone you were far to Special for That, you healed his wounds without even realizing and made him the happiest he’s ever been
And he knows he doesn’t Match Your Energie and he used to be very scared That you thought it was a sign he didnt like you or something but to you his more calmer grumpier demeanor gave you comfort, a place to just feel safe and peaceful. You loved him for giving you peace in your life and your heart.
And the Same for him. You gave him excitement and made him feel alive.
a/n; found this draft and finished it After like 9 months or so lol I’ll try to write more often again :) thank you for reading and have a good day

Thinking about how Inupi and Koko were introduced in an ambiguous way to make us think they were the bad guys and how their queerness was introduced ~after~ revealing they were positive characters and not to emphasize there was something wrong with them
I binge read the story from vol.9/ bloody Halloween to Senju’s introduction but ig that it must have been quite a journey to read chapters weekly and to see, step by step, how 🐶🈁,that were introduced as secondary characters, ended up with a quite surprisingly evolution, considering they’re not even main characters and that (beside’s Inupi’s connection with BD) their own tragic past isn’t related to the main plot.
Before their backstory, we see in both the presents TL (besides the final one) that when they’re together, they’re criminals...
Tumblr media
and even Takemichi’s enemies in Manila TL.
Before the kidnapping, if we pay attention, the info we have about 🈁🐶 are that
they’re introduced as executives in the 1st Bad Toman TL-Inupi being protective ok Koko
they’re executives in Taiju’s BD
there’s a promise involved, but it’s unclear what it’s about
🐶 asks twice to 🈁 what he wants to do and Koko confirms he will stick with Inupi (fruity)
turns out it was 🐶 that wanted to recreate the BD (but we still don’t know why) and that 🈁 helped him introducing him Taiju
🐶🈁 join Takemichi’s division after the Christmas battle
once again are Toman’s dirigents in Manila TL, Taijusays somethin about Inupi's past with BD and Izana and Koko's being the gang wallet
bonus point, the homoerotic af inner cover of volume 14, where it seems like they're gonna kiss (and for a reason!)
At that point, readers/watchers have no reason to trust them and, beside the “promise/sticking with you” scene that implies something more, we knew nothing really “personal” about them.
So when they’re ambushed and for a moment the narration makes you think they’re the traitors, trying to blame Michi;the reader, just like Takemichi, has doubts, (love how Wakui drawn Inupi in such an ambiguous way lol) only to be immediately contradicted.
Tumblr media
🈁🐶 genuinely have no bad intentions, they’re just trying to live without being used by others.
🐶 wanted to recreate the BD because (we learn later)Shin was his hero and the founder of BD (we already knew that from 2017!Taiju), but Taiju wanted 🈁 money making ability--->🈁 only listens to🐶(ch.141) and things finally makes sense,
🈁 sacrifices himself to save 🐶 and 🍀. In their hideout,🐶confirms he didn’t want BD to degenerate like that but it happened anyway, he himself got used to Izana's violent methods. He confirms he would die for 🈁 that has always been by his side even if he considers himself useless and 🍀(and he readers)understand that 🈁🐶 are good kids at heart. Now it’s established they’re with “the good guy”, Takemichi even compare his and Hina relationship to 🐶🈁, we get they care very much for the other. The queer aspect starts being prominent from here.
And then ofc, the kiss.
Tumblr media
But before that, just a reminder that, for a long time, queer coded villains had been a thing, especially when it wasn’t suitable to have explicit queer characters but you had to show they were evil, so you make them queer coded because it was not the norm (see many Disn&y villains); ofc in the story of literature/media there aren’t only examples of evil queer coded characters, there are positive characters too, it’s just an example and it happens also in Asian medias obviously.
It could have been “easy” for another writer or in different historical period to show the queerness of their relationship immediately, in one way or another to show, according old narrative styles, that we couldn’t trust them, only to subvert it later. But I really appreciate it was decided to give just a very small hint (promise/stick with you) and then later, once we are sure that’s they are the good guys, another layer was added to their story, making us understand how traumatic, visceral and complicated their relationship is. Regardless anyone’s personal interpretation, the queer factor in their subplot cannot be denied. There are 2 couple that kiss on screen, one is the male protagonist and his female love interest (granted, no one is surprised) and the other is kokonui.
🈁 was well aware of what he was doing and WHO was kissing. We see all of his torments, we understand why 🐶🈁 relationship is so complicated, why 🐶fears Koko doesn’t see him as Seishu but as Akane and why 🈁fears that Inupi is using him for money and his personal interest like everyone else.
Their kiss is treated by the narration with utmost respect and it essential to understand these characters (their official characters songs emphasize the importance of this moment as well). And it’s important to humanize them, to add a layer, to give them complexity, not to vilify them. They realize that, even if they’re ready to do anything for the other, it’s getting impossible to be together, too many traumas and misunderstandings piled up Turing the years. They part still wishing the best to the other, which, considering they’re 16 and their traumatic past, is still more emotionally mature then many breakups between adults.
Do we want to talk about how the “characters having a moment in the rain” is literally a romantic trope? Besides Bonten, where it’s implied they never saw each other again
in the last arc, it’s enough to see each other once (because in the end, 🈁 needed help and the person he trusts the most is still 🐶even after 2+ years they had no contacts) for 🐶 to understand that 🈁 is not okay.
For how rushed the final arc is (on a human level, I get that Wakui was burn out and had to finish asap), I really appreciate that he still found time to give a conclusion to 🐶🈁 sub plot that, more than any other secondary characters, was given the chance to evolve during the years and to reach a conclusion that was also a new beginning, because these traumas aren’t solved in a day, but now we know the elephant in the room has been faced, 🈁admitted his problems and decides to stay with 🐶 because that’s what he really wants. They have all the time to mend their relationship, this time with no fears nor misunderstandings

istg if walkie talkie ends up NOT being taco ill be so damn surprised. like if its not taco it’ll end up being some random new antagonist we’ve never even met before (or cobs, which i doubt; i don’t think it’s cobs himself, but i do believe whoever it is could very well be working for him)
itd be weird to introduce a whole new character in the final episode, itd make more sense to play off a character who’s been in the show the entire time and has reason to play the role of antagonist.
season 2 proved taco knows how meeple products work/how to override their functions for her advantage. also she’s proven to be a great manipulator, so it’d make sense how she’d be able to collect a whole gang of people who don’t even necessarily hate mephone all that much, and turn them against him (sprinkles and dr fizz probably being the best examples of this; you even see dr fizz question WT’s actions during the whole confrontation near the end of iii18). It’d also explain why Ballpoint Pen isnt part of the Unvitationals; tbh he seems way too smart to be manipulated, no offense everyone else, even though he does seem to have a similar level of reason to hate mephone as the other Unvitationals.
also shoutout to @somebean81 for pointing this out.
Tumblr media
so basically, vote to join III. Understandable as to why Lightbulb, Knife, and Suitcase can’t join the cast, they’re still part of s2, but why Taco? Her arc with Mic has basically ended, I highly doubt they’re going to interact anymore because Taco has shown no real interest in Mic on an emotional level, she just wanted to use her for her own gain; and now that Mic is no longer in the game, she probably sees her as ‘useless’ to her. no chance in manipulating any of the remaining cast, so why not teleport away… and try to manipulate someone else….?
where’d she go when she teleported?
hmm..
(alsoc if they knew Taco wouldn’t be allowed to join, why add her to the poll at all? If Taco is WT it’d give it away to outright say she was joining the iii cast when she clearly isn’t a contestant………. maybe they’re keeping her presence a secret…….hmmmmmmmm)
I honestly think that either A. Taco’s motivation for manipulating Mic could’ve gone way beyond simply wanting to win. Or B., maybe that could be her only motivation. Which is why if WT is Taco it would explain why she’s so keen on mentioning to the remaining competitors that there is no prize. WT has proven to have loads of knowledge about ii, knowledge that probably only a former contestant could have, and there’s really only one former contestant I can think of who’d have such a grudge against mephone/the show in general.
cough.
also season 1 kinda proves taco is a good actor as well, so putting on a new facade as WT probably wouldnt be hard for her. WT could very well be her using a voice changer, but do we really doubt that she could pull off an american accent lmao.
anywyas if this is true i hate taco even more. leave floory and mephone alone.
but thats jsut a theiry. a gay theory

i’ve been missing the universe from my first fic lately, so enjoy this snippet (my best comedic work yet) from tip of my tongue, he’s pulling my hair; i’d do what he wants anywhere
“Henderson, please do not get pizza sauce on my carpet!” Steve yells across his house at the man-child balancing boxes reaching higher than his head.
“Geez, Steve, relax, would you?” Dustin chides, “Why are you freaking out anyways? I have never once seen your house this clean.”
Steve spares a moment to feel a bit caught out. “He’s right,” he thinks.
He follows Dustin into the living room carrying a stack of plates. He is met with a sight he has grown all too familiar with over the years of the kids using his home as their designated hang out. Coffee table pulled out to the middle of the floor so there is optimal seating around its perimeter; Lucas, Mike, and Will already seated and bickering about Will’s campaign; Max and El on his couch trying to choose a movie to watch; and more D&D paraphernalia then he even understands or knows what to do with. The only thing currently missing are the rest of the adults of the group, all of whom are en route, hopefully with beer and other substances so that Steve can get through another night of fifteen year olds screaming until three in the morning.
“No seriously dude, you look like you’ve seen a ghost, what the hell are you being so weird for?” Mike asks about the time Steve realizes he’s moved the cups around the table three times.
Moving to stand at the head of the table Steve claps his hands together and places his hands on his hips in what the kids call his “mom pose”, deciding to make an announcement. They had originally planned on just introducing Eddie as a friend, and then getting a read from the kids before they told them anything more. But now that they have seemed to figure out that something is up, Steve is loath to keep the secret from them.
“Oh here we go,” Lucas whines.
Mike groans and Max and El perk up in their seats.
“Watch it Sinclair. Don't make me put you on trash duty.”
Lucas mimes zipping his lips shut.
“Thank you. Okay gang. I don’t usually ask you guys to be on your best behavior because my home is your home and all that shit. But today Robs is bringing over this guy that I have been talking to so I really need you guys to be cool.” Steve pleads with the group, feeling irrationally jittery even though he knows they can tell he’s nervous and would never do anything to actually jeopardize or invalidate his worries.
The girls on the couch both look like this is the best news they have ever heard. Meanwhile, Will, Lucas, and Mike all look shellshocked. Dustin is the only one who maintains some sense of a calm demeanor. Immediately diffusing the shock with an “Okay.. well we’re missing a D20, does anyone have a spare in a backpack or something?”
Steve just laughs as his panic is so quickly relieved with the normalcy of these kids, who all immediately take to looking under the table and under pillows for the missing dice. He takes a second to be grateful they all are so quick to support one another, himself included.
Steve, shaking off his shock, responds, “You know what? I think you guys actually left some here last time you came over to play, let me go grab them.”
“Sweet, thanks mom!” Lucas says to Steve’s retreating form, earning himself a middle finger over the shoulder.
On his way down the hall he hears the doorbell and the sounds of Jonathan, Nancy, and Argyle joining the party and making themselves at home. Steve thinks the most home this house has ever felt is when it is full of these kids and these friends.
Walking into his spare room Steve rifles through the top dresser drawer that has turned into some kind of makeshift lost and found, letting out a victorious “aha!” when he lays his hands on Dustin’s missing D20 and the various other matching D-something’s.
He stops in front of the mirror one last time on his way out to give himself a pep talk before Eddie comes over. It's not that he’s nervous to see him, but the fact that Eddie is essentially meeting his family today, and everyone that's important to him. Logically, he knows there is literally no way they won't like him, but a little bit of fear permanently stays lodged in his chest these days and today it's chosen to take root in this situation.
Making his way back to the rowdy table he drops the dice in Dustin’s hand with a flourish and goes to check his phone to see if the rest of the group are almost here. He is broken out of his task to Dustin’s “What the fuck?”
Turning to see Dustin still standing stock still with the dice in his hand Steve makes to reprimand him for his language before getting cut off with “These are Eddie’s.”
Steve freezes. Approximately a million thoughts and questions start running through his head, the most prominent he asks aloud, “How do you guys know Eddie?”
By now the rest of the party has clued into the situation, Lucas chiming in, “Eddie’s our DM when we play at Hellfire. How do you know Eddie?”
Steve stutters, trying to connect the dots.
“Oh my god,” Dustin screeches, “Eddie said he lost his customs after he was playing with a hookup. Was it you?”
Steve has about three seconds to be offended that Eddie referred to him as a “hookup” and to think that he needs to text Eddie a warning before the doorbell rings.
This time, everyone freezes, Steve sees the moment that the kids all suddenly remember that Steve said Robin was bringing a guy over.
Steve, still in shock, is rooted to his spot while Mike runs to the door, flinging it open to reveal Robin and Eddie. If Steve had his wits about him, he would be most interested in the fact that Eddie looks really fucking good in his worn old Black Sabbath tee and ripped jeans with his hair up, but as it is he is too busy reeling.
Steve watches with bated breath as Eddie’s eyes flit to all of the people in the room and connect the same dots that Steve did only moments ago. Eddie’s eyes finally land on Dustin’s open palm with his apparently custom DM dice and he goes to say “Oh shit! You found-”
“Your dice.” Steve finishes for him.
Again, he sees the moment Eddie remembers what he told the kids happened to his dice.
“My dice... Yeah.” He brings a hand up the scratch at the back of his neck.
All of the kids shake out of their shock at once with shouts and jeers of, “STEVE was the hookup?” and “Oh my god I can’t believe this is happening,” and from the girls, hushed giggles, the remaining adults all putting two and two together themselves.
Robin breaks the panic with, “I feel like I’m missing something here.”
Rather than rehash the entire event in front of the kids, Steve finally launches back into action and grabs Eddie and Robin and drags them into the kitchen.
“Oh my fucking god!” Steve screeches, dragging his hands down his face.
He feels Eddie’s presence behind him and feels one arm snake around his waist and another come to rest where his thigh meets his hip, and warm lips dropping a kiss to his neck.
“Why are you freaking out, baby? This is honestly the best case scenario. I’ve been so nervous all day about meeting your kids, come to find out your kids are my kids,” Eddie speaks lowly into Steve’s ear and honestly? He does have a point. But-
“I think I’m mostly freaked out that they figured it out before I got to tell them. I was fully prepared to make an awkward introduction and wait for you guys to hit it off. I was not prepared for all of them staring at me asking if I was the hookup you left your dice with.” And now that he thinks about it, maybe the world hookup is the part that is bothering him the most.
Robin seems to have finally pieced together the puzzle, “Ohhh, shit. These are the kids that always come to your D&D nights. You know, I honestly should have put this together earlier. Especially after that time you came into work talking about your dice getting you into some super kinky sh-”
“Robs!” Steve cuts her off.
“Sorry!” She squeaks. “This is just all so funny to me. Like how did none of us put together that the obnoxious kids that play at your house are the same obnoxious kids that play at Hellfire?”
Eddie laughs over Steve’s shoulder. “Yeah, I don’t even have an argument for that one. This seems like a massive oversight.” He says rubbing circles into Steve’s hips. “Well, at least we know your kids love your new boyfriend already,” and Steve just rolls his eyes, able to hear the smirk in Eddie's voice, “Nice save, Master.”
Steve shakes off a slack-jawed Eddie and makes to go back to join the kids. “Well, we may as well rejoin the kids and suffer through the impending torment.”
Robin and Eddie cackle behind him as they make their way into the living room.
Upon seeing the kids already in the throes of their game Steve just stands and looks out over the room at all of the people he loves and is once again, so grateful for each and every one of them and their ability to make him feel so effortlessly comfortable even at his most nervous.
He should’ve known better than to think Eddie would ever let him win though. He’s struck from his reverie, when he hears Eddie, in what is undoubtedly his dramatic DM voice, say, “Hey anklebiters! Do you guys need a Dad? I’m trying to un-single your mom!”

Kimbaps & Kind Talks
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: a girl found a boy being cornered by some bullies. homeless, alone, and starving, the boy asked the girl if she could please buy him some food.
the girl said yes.
***
(Their first meeting isn't really a meeting, but more of a moment where their lives briefly touched then went their separate ways.
But everything starts from somewhere.)
***
She meets him again when she is walking home from school, the light of the sunset dying the sky hues of orange and gold.
They both stop, equally surprised when they see each other again.
“Oh, you’re the…” Dayeon trails off, not sure how to finish that sentence. Homeless boy? Runaway that was starving and asked me for food? Kid who’s all alone? None of those sound particularly appealing, and she doesn’t want to be rude.
While she’s lost in thought, the boy rummages through his pockets before finally pulling out what he wanted— the money she had given him the day before. She notices that half of it has been used.
“H—Here,” the boy holds out the crinkled money. “Thanks for before, you really saved me. This is all I have, but I'll pay back the rest soon.”
Dayeon hesitantly takes it. “Oh, you don't have to do this… will you have anything left for yourself?”
“I'll be alright.” He reassures her.
“Well, if you say so.” Dayeon goes to bow before she suddenly hears a stomach growl loudly. She looks up to see the boy turning bright red.
“Oh?”
“…”
Dayeon can't help but let out a soft laugh when she sees the boy's embarrassed face.
“You know, I'm actually feeling a little bit hungry myself. There's a convenience store right around the corner, care to join me?”
“ … yes, please.”
Dayeon begins walking, and after a moment, the boy follows her. Dayeon glances at him. She can already tell he's a bit on guard and on the quiet side, so she tries to loosen him up.
“You know, now that I think about it, I never got your name last night,” says Dayeon. The boy tenses for some reason, so Dayeon tries to put him at ease by introducing herself first. “I’m Dayeon.”
The boy hesitates, jaw working, like he was struggling with himself. Dayeon turns to look at him, and he meets her eyes. She waits, smiling patiently, and slowly, some of the tension dissolves in his shoulders.
“My name is… Isak.”
“Isak,” Dayeon repeats the foreign name slowly, and the boy gives a strange sort of shudder, like he's never heard his own name come out of another's mouth before. She eyes the reaction curiously and gives him a smile. “That's a nice name.”
The boy doesn't look like he knows what to say to that. “Um, thank you,” he says. His face is still stained with blush.
They walk in silence for a few minutes, and Dayeon steals another glance at him. He’s relaxed a bit more, so he isn't hiding his face under his cap like before, and now she can see the giant bruise swelling on his cheek.
“Hey,” she says, snapping his attention back to her. “Are you alright? You have…” Dayeon trails off and gestures helplessly to his face.
He blinks in surprise, almost as if he's startled she noticed the fresh bruise painting his face. “Oh. Um, yeah, I got into a fight earlier today.”
Dayeon gasps. “Was it those guys again?” She cries, dismayed.
Isak flinches. “Well, I did run into them again…”
Call it a habit she’s inherited from living with Ijin, but Dayeon is able to spot a half-truth a mile away. Her eyes flicker down to his hands.
(His knuckles were split and had fresh bruises. He didn’t carry himself as someone who had been injured. He hadn't been defending himself. He'd been fighting.)
A niggling feeling worms its way into her stomach.
“I see,” she says when she realizes she left him hanging. “You should be careful around here. Seoul is pretty safe, but there are a lot of gangs around these parts. Lots of rich kids try to pick fights with each other and get away with it because they have money.”
“Alright,” says Isak. He suddenly flinches like a thought has come to him and turns to her. “Will you be alright?”
Dayeon blinks, surprised. At first, she has no idea what he is talking about, but then she realizes what he means. She’s a teenage girl walking home all by herself in an area where she said there is a lot of criminal activity. And she knows firsthand how much men like to harass teenage girls.
His red-colored eyes stare into her, and it feels like he’s probing her soul for answers.
“I’ll be fine. I’m a fast runner,” Dayeon reassures him. “Lots of experience.” That probably wasn’t the most reassuring thing to say, but it was true. All the times of outrunning her bullies, drunk old men harassing her, and teenage boys who wouldn’t take no for an answer has practically turned her into a professional track star.
Gaining a brother had decreased those problems significantly, but old habits die hard.
Isak nods silently, and Dayeon somehow feels like he's more aware of what those experiences are than most boys are at their age.
They walk into the convenience store together, and Dayeon immediately sets out to ask Isak what he wants. He gives her a noncommittal shrug, so Dayeon is left nervously deciding what to pick out for him and second-guessing each item. Isak is hovering over her shoulder and trailing after her like a lost puppy, but every time Dayeon asks him what he would like he keeps on shrugging and saying variations of “I don't care” which inadvertently makes her more awkward. Finally, she suggests that they'll have better luck picking out items if they split up and choose.
Dayeon fingers the mouth of the cold soda, eyeing Isak across the store. He's studying the packages of kimbaps, looking a bit overwhelmed and flinching every time he meets the employee's gaze.
(Sometimes. Sometimes Ijin would flinch whenever someone called his name. Like he wasn’t used to it. Like he didn’t recognize it. Like he didn’t know it.
Like he was never called it.)
“ISAK!” Dayeon calls across the store, and he jerks so hard he knocks down the rows of food-filled plastic containers on the floor.
Dayeon is shocked. She didn’t know what she was expecting, but she didn't expect that reaction. Spotting the cashier scowling, she hurried over to Isak, who was hurriedly picking up the food.
“Sorry, sorry, sorry,” he mutters. His whole face is red with embarrassment.
“It's okay,” soothes Dayeon, helping him pick up the mess. “It's my fault for calling you so loudly in public. I didn't mean to startle you.”
Dayeon neatly stacks the meals on the shelves while Isak picks them up from the floor. She glances at him when he isn't looking. She doesn't even know why she is wary of him, but it's just something about this boy that is sending some sort of signal to her.
He's different. Not in the way of a foreigner, but of something else. He walks like he's half-expecting to be stabbed than be offered a handshake. His words are mindful, but not in the way of not knowing the language but of carefully wording out information.
And his eyes.
Watchful and wary, darting around like he is looking for something— or hiding from it.
He reminds her of Ijin, and she wants to know why.
And then she does.
It happens in an instant. So unnoticeable that Dayeon would have missed it if she was paying less attention. Isak hands her the final plastic container, and as he does so, the sleeve of his red hoodie slips up.
And she sees it.
There, on the inside of his left wrist, written in small fine-print black ink, is:
032.
Suddenly, the air just leaves her lungs. Her ears can hear nothing but a high-pitched ringing. Dayeon suddenly feels dizzy and faint.
(Her brother had a tattoo on his wrist. It was small and he tried to hide it, but they lived together so it was impossible to, really. Sometimes, when they washed dishes together, he would pull up his sleeves and Dayeon would catch a glimpse.
Inside of his right wrist was the number 001 .)
Dayeon tries to force herself to think it's a coincidence. This boy was likely a runaway, and that's why he wasn't used to his name. He was so jumpy and careful because he had likely lived on the streets, not because he was looking out for something. He had the tattoo because — because — just because!
(Something tells her it isn't.)
“Hey, are you okay?” Somebody asks. Dayeon snaps out of her daze to see the boy — Isak — staring at her with concerned red-colored eyes. His brow is furrowed, and it causes a crease in his face.
“Yes, I'm fine,” Dayeon's heart is pounding, and she doesn't know why. She forces a smile. “Sorry, I just blanked for a second.”
Shame and guilt sweep under her skin. Who is she to throw her half-baked suspicions onto him? She's probably on edge from Yeona’s kidnapping and seeing that blond foreigner that had thrown Ijin off for days. Right now, she’s just jumping to conclusions about who or what this boy is with only a gut feeling and circumstantial evidence.
From now on, Dayeon would just treat him as a— a normal boy.
In recompense, she offers him the ice-cold soda and he takes it confusedly. “We still have to pay?”
“It's for your bruise,” she says, gently tapping the side of her own jaw.
He blinks, startled. “Oh. Thank you.”
“No problem. Did you want to buy this or are you ready to pay?”
“Pay, please.”
Isak trails after her, soda to his cheek as he watches her pay. They make their way onto the porch, and as soon as she dumps all the food on the table, Isak gobbles it up like it's his last meal.
"You should leave some for spending next time. I wasn't expecting you to pay me back,” says Dayeon as Isak chomps down on the kimbaps.
"Of course I should pay you back. You're not supposed to wait until you have extra to pay someone back for their help." Isak scoffs.
"True," Dayeon counters with a smile. "But haven't you ever heard the saying, 'kindness is free'?"
The boy lets out a sharp, barking laugh like she’s said something hilarious. “Not from where I’m from.”
“Well, then clearly you didn’t grow up in the right place,” says Dayeon.
Isak stares at her, a curious, surprised, studying look appearing as he takes her in consideration. After a moment, his mouth twitches into something of a smile. “Maybe,” he agrees softly.
There's a beat of awkward silence as the two teenagers stare at each other until Dayeon clears her throat and gestures to the food. Isak flushes and digs in.
Dayeon can't help but stare at him while he's busy eating.
She didn't really notice the last time they met, but this was her first time seeing the boy in a real light instead of being cast in shadows or the dim glow of the convenience store.
His face is fair and slender, wisps of blond hair escaping his black cap. His lashes were blond, but they were long and thick and in the dying sun, cast shadows under the startling red-colored eyes that Dayeon first noticed.
He was actually… really pretty.
Dayeon knows that pretty isn’t really something that should describe a boy, but she didn’t know how else to describe him. He just… was.
Were all Western boys this pretty?
His eyes flick up questioningly, and Dayeon practically jumps when she meets his gaze.
“So, how old are you?” Dayeon blurts out the first question that comes to mind.
“Me? I'm seventeen…”
Dayeon gasps, a pleasantly surprised smile blooming. “You're my age.”
“R-Really? We're the same exact age?” Isak looks up, shocked, like he’s never spoken to another person the same age before.
“Yup, I’m seventeen years old too!” Dayeon beams. “Let’s speak comfortably now!”
“O-Okay. Do what you want…”
Dayeon looks at the kimbap he’s eating longingly. She’s feeling kind of hungry right now, but it would be rude to eat the food she had bought for Isak when he was likely much more hungry than she was. Isak notices her staring and nudges a kimbap towards her with a slight smile.
“You’re from overseas, right?” Dayeon asks, gratefully taking the kimbap from him.
“Yeah, I’m traveling right now.”
“With your friends?”
“By myself.”
“By yourself?” Dayeon exclaims, far too loud.
Isak flinches. “Y-Yeah.”
Dayeon had to physically bite back the concerned questions rising up from her tongue. Why on earth was a kid her age traveling all alone? Where was his family?
(Who even was he?)
“Oh wow. You’re traveling all alone? How many countries have you been to?” Dayeon asks once she’s sure the concern won’t leak into her voice. At least her question is genuine in its awe and curiosity.
“I dunno, I never counted, but probably over twenty countries…” Isak trails off and shrugs, obviously relieved she isn’t pressing his traveling alone-ness.
“Whoa… you must really like to travel,” comments Dayeon.
“Not really, I just sort of ended up with this job where I usually have to travel to different countries to complete different assignments.” Isak fiddles with the cap of his soda, and Dayeon clocks in on the nervous gesture instantly.
(Not telling the full truth, then. Hiding something.)
“What about you?” Isak asks, and Dayeon snaps out of it.
“Huh?”
“You seem really interested in going abroad. Your eyes lit up,” says Isak, then seems to immediately regret admitting to paying that much attention to her. His face turns bright red, and he stutters, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—”
“It’s alright. You’re right anyway,” Dayeon laughs good-naturedly. “What person wouldn’t like to travel to other countries? I’ve stayed in Korea my whole life. I’ve never even left Seoul.”
“Why not?” Isak asks curiously.
Dayeon shrugs. “Money expenses, mostly. Going abroad is pretty expensive, and I don’t have that kind of money.” She thinks of the first time she and Yeona had met up after she’d returned from America and how she had devoured the stories Yeona had from overseas. She had brushed off the question of wanting to study abroad, but secretly, in the darkest corner of her heart, she wanted to go.
But then if she did, her grandpa would be all alone… and Ijin too…
“Not to mention, my family’s here. I would get homesick.” Her lips curl in a slightly wry smile. Maybe she just wasn’t meant for traveling.
“Oh,” says Isak quietly. He looks like he wants to say something else, but ultimately stays silent.
Dayeon studies him for a bit. He looks lost in thought, forlorn, and runs his slender finger around the soda can again and again. Strangely enough, she finds that she doesn’t like that expression on him.
“What about you?”
“Huh?”
“You must speak a lot of different languages if you're traveling all over the place,” says Dayeon. “You’re Korean is very good. How long have you been studying?”
The boy flushes but can’t hide the proud smile on his face. “A few months.”
“A few months?” Dayeon splutters, and the boy laughs.
(He has a nice laugh.)
“Yeah. I also speak English, Mandarin, and Arabic. I know a bit of Spanish, too. And—” he cuts off when he sees the slack-jawed look on her face and laughs again.
“You know that many languages?” Dayeon stutters, disbelief written all over her face. "And you learned Korean in just a couple of months? How is that even possible?”
“To be fair, I knew a bit of Korean before I started to learn it. There were a couple of Korean missionaries in the place I grew up, and I had a… friend, who spoke it when we first met, so I sort of understood the basics. To be honest, the one who knew the most Korean was my broth—”
Isak stops, his smile freezing as his fingers tighten around the soda until indents appear in the metal. He suddenly looks lost, red-colored eyes flickering, and biting down on his lip so hard she’s surprised it’s not bleeding.
Dayeon swallows; a sudden knot in her stomach.
Oh. She’s hit a sore spot, hasn’t she?
“I’m sorry,” she offers, quietly. She recognizes that grief-look on his face.
The boy snaps his eyes up, looking like he is about to snarl, ‘What does sorry even do?’ when he sees her eyes and realizes how genuine she is; how honest. She knew, better than anyone, that sorrys couldn’t take back the time spent in pain from loss. But as she grew older, she realized that people said them because they were offering condolences, showing their sympathy, offering support to ease the burden of grief. It wasn’t to make them magically feel better, it wasn't meant to do anything, it was—
It was just meant to tell them, subtly, that they cared.
He nods, and the grip on his can slowly relax. Silence grows between them, and she feels awkward and guilty for being the cause of it.
“So how long will you be in Korea?” Dayeon asks.
Isak pauses, a strange expression crossing his face. “... Until I'm done with things here,” he says, like something final.
Dayeon can sense the undercurrent of something but decides not to press it. “I see. You must be staying nearby since I ran into you again.”
“No, I just had something to take care of here… but I guess you live around here?” He suddenly straightens, eyes wide as a hand covers his mouth. “Ah, that's a rude question, isn't it?”
Dayeon laughs. “No it's not. My school is nearby—”
The next following moments happen in the span of three seconds.
Dayeon screams as out of nowhere Ijin tackles Isak, sending the food tumbling to the ground and the table flying as they grapple.
In the blink of an eye, Ijin snatches a single chopstick and tries stabbing it into Isak's eye. Isak grabs his wrist, barely blocking it, and Ijin snatches another chopstick with his other hand and slashes at him. Isak twists his neck to dodge, releasing his grip. The air shrivels up in her lungs when Isak kicks Ijin right in his broken ribs. Ijin falters with pain, and Isak is able to push him off and spring to his feet, her brother doing the same.
Dayeon’s feet are frozen to the ground. The whole fight happened so fast, and it was lethal. If Isak hadn’t dodged the slash to the neck, it would’ve hit an artery.
Ijin would’ve killed him.
Over her brother's shoulder, Dayeon meets Isak's eyes wildly. His eyes flicker to her before turning back to Ijin.
And then he begins speaking in a foreign language.
Dayeon feels her heart stop.
The language is guttural, tongue-twisting, and undeniably unlike any language Dayeon has ever heard. But she recognizes it. She recognizes it because she’s heard it before.
(Yeona’s kidnappers spoke it. That blond foreigner man spoke it.
Ijin spoke it.)
Dayeon finally finds her voice.
“Ijin?”
They both stop.
“Ijin, what are you doing here? What's going on?” Dayeon says desperately.
Ijin doesn't turn to look at her. “You should get out of here, now.”
“Huh? What do you mean…” Dayeon's voice drifts off as she notices the dangerous look in his eyes. He's looking past her, right at Isak, like he’s a threat, like he’s dangerous. She recognizes that look… it was the same one he had worn when he rescued her from Yeona’s kidnappers.
Cold and ruthless, just like how he fought.
Dayeon's eyes drop down to his shirt, and to her horror she sees it bloodied, his side slashed. Was he stabbed?
“Ijin, you're bleeding…” she whispers.
“You two… know each other?” A voice breaks through her panic, and she turns to see Isak staring at them.
“Huh? He’s my brother.”
“As in…”
“My older brother.” Dayeon says.
Isak struggles to keep his face from showing anything and fails spectacularly.
“I'm sorry, he's not usually like this. There must be some sort of misunderstanding…” Dayeon falters off when she sees the look on the boy's face. It's harsh and disbelieving. The boy looks nothing like the one she'd been happily chatting with a minute ago, and it makes Dayeon come to a chilling realization.
Right. How well can she know a boy she only met a day ago?
Ijin moves in front of her, protecting her. “Can you give us a moment, Dayeon?” He speaks up.
Dayeon jolts. “Huh?”
Ijin stares at the boy, hard and intense as he glares right back. She can feel a fight rearing up, the tension crackling in the air.
Dayeon wants to say no. She wants to argue. But as she gazes between the two of them, she knew she had no place here.
“… Okay.”
Dayeon walks off the porch, her heart racing and legs numb as she leaves the two of them standing there. Even though they’re busy glaring at each other, she can still somehow feel their eyes burning into her back until she rounds the corner of a building and leaves their sight.
As soon as she does she doubles over, gasping. Her heart is pounding out of her chest and her legs are weak and shaking.
The fighting skills. The mannerisms. The foreign language. The tattoo.
This boy was a part of Ijin’s past.
And she had left him alone with him.
Dayeon pokes her head out from the pillar she is hiding behind. Right now, her brother and the boy aren't currently fighting, but if they did, Dayeon had one hand on her cell phone, ready to call the police. While she doubted they could do anything, at least it would break up the fight and send the boy running.
Ready to duck if they looked her way, Dayeon watches as the tension slowly works its way out of the atmosphere. Suddenly, Ijin bends down… and starts picking up the trash? Dayeon blinks, hardly able to believe her eyes as the boy he had previously tried to murder, the one who had been glaring daggers at her brother like he was his most hated enemy, bent down to help him.
Dayeon gapes, rubs her eyes, and wonders if she’s dreaming.
The two finish cleaning, and the boy begins walking away before he suddenly looks up— and meets her eyes. Dayeon startles, and even he looks surprised. Ijin joins the boy, and they exchange a few words before Ijin makes his way towards her while the boy hangs back.
Dayeon hurries over to Ijin. “Are you okay?” She asks urgently.
Ijin looks down at her, at the worry pouring off her in waves, and softens. “I'm fine,” he says.
“Is… he okay?” Dayeon glances at the boy, who is anxiously hovering a few feet away. He jumps when he meets her eyes.
“ … Yes. You don't need to worry, Dayeon,” says Ijin.
“Good. Then I want to talk to him.” She looks up at Ijin boldly. “Alone.”
Her brother looks like he's about to argue before he stops. He takes in the stubborn set of her shoulders and the way her lips draw into a firm line and knows there's no dissuading her.
Dayeon takes a deep breath, looks over at the boy, and refuses to show her nerves. He was fine. She was fine. Ijin wouldn't allow him near her if he was going to attack her, nor would he be acting all buddy-buddy if they weren't friends.
Dayeon slowly approaches the boy, giving him plenty of time to panic.
“So.” Dayeon says. Just because he and Ijin were on good terms now doesn't mean she's about to go easy on him.
“So.” The boy echoes. He looks mildly afraid of what she's about to say next.
“Would it be wrong of me to assume that you were the one who stabbed my brother?” Dayeon goes right for the throat.
The boy pales. “Um—”
“And would it be a shot in the dark to assume that your business in Korea has suddenly ended and you have to leave?” Dayeon arches her brow.
The boy looks like he quite possibly wants to die on the spot. Dayeon wonders if it's possible for the blood to both rush to your face and leave it at the same time.
“I—I'm sorry,” the boy blurts out almost desperately. His hands wring nervously. “It was a misunderstanding.”
Dayeon says nothing but shows that she's listening. The boy continues rambling. “I thought— I thought your brother had something to do with my brother, and I was angry and impulsive, so I came here without thinking. But it turns out I was wrong and my brother is alive. But, um— I'm sorry for attacking your brother. And dragging you in it. It was— I didn’t mean for it to happen.” The boy’s eyes are wide and sincere as he fumbles through his apology.
Dayeon studies him for a long time. “... I believe you,” she says, and means it. From the look on the boy's face, she can tell he's surprised she does too.
“I just have one question,” she says, and he tenses. “Your name.”
“Huh?”
“The name you gave me. Isak. Was it your real name, or a fake one?”
The boy stares at her.
Dayeon had just blurted out the question and now immediately felt embarrassed under the boy’s gaze. Heat rises to her cheeks.
Well, too late to take it back now.
To be honest, Dayeon wasn't really sure why she asked that. She has lots of questions, and he likely had lots of answers. She doubted he would have told her the full truth, but the point is that she could have asked him anything.
But for some reason, the only thing she can focus on is his name.
(She knew, vaguely, that names were important where they came from. It was the only thing that couldn't be taken away from them.)
The boy stares at her, studying, suspicious, like he is trying to see if she has any ulterior motives. Dayeon keeps her eyes genuine and posture open, letting him see she isn’t hiding anything. Her heart is beating rapidly, and she’s strangely nervous, but she hopes he can see her.
Finally, he relaxes, and a small smile crosses his face. “Yeah, it is.”
“Really? That's your real name?” Happiness bursts from her chest.
“Yeah,” Isak smiles.
(He has a nice smile, too.)
“Right.” Dayeon sighs and leans back on her heels. “Well, that's all I wanted to ask. Thank you for answering my question… Isak.”
“No problem… Dayeon.” Isak turns scarlet when he says her name.
“Good luck in whatever you have to do,” says Dayeon. “And take care.”
“Thank you,” replies Isak. He hesitates, then almost sheepishly, adds “... you too.”
Dayeon beams.
Ijin approaches, and Isak jumps in what looks like fear and before backing up from her. Dayeon raises a hand to wave goodbye, and with a small smile hidden under his cap, Isak does the same.
Now for Ijin.
“So you two knew each other?” Dayeon asks once Isak leaves.
Ijin jumps. “Yeah.”
“Then why were you so harsh earlier?” Dayeon watches him closely. She knew she had said not to ask anything about his past, but she wasn’t really breaking her promise. He had attacked a kid out in the open and then made up with him in the next ten minutes. Surely he was expecting her to ask some questions about that?
But she had literally seen him try to stab someone’s eye out with a chopstick, so she was curious about what kind of excuse he would come up with—
“I thought some weird guy was hitting on you because you are pretty,” Ijin whips out, cool as can be.
Dayeon’s jaw drops. “What?”
She stares at Ijin.
Ijin stares back.
They both just stood there, staring at each other blankly for what feels like forever.
“Let’s just… let’s just go back home,” Dayeon manages faintly.
“Alright. Are you going to tell Grandpa about this?”
“Only if you don’t let me stitch up that wound, I will.”
***
It isn’t until much later when it hits her.
After Dayeon had done an appropriate amount of fussing over Ijin’s wound and had cleaned and bandaged it before he had kindly but firmly kicked her out of his room so he could brood, she was sitting in her room contemplating the day.
Meeting Isak had revealed a lot about Ijin and his past today. She closes her eyes, her thoughts flying around like a whirlwind in her brain: comrades and numbers and fighting; quick-to-kill hands, secret names, and tattoos. Even though there was animosity, it’s clear there’s some sort of innate trust in each other. Bonds are hard to break, after all.
That blond man that came before Isak— he’s another one of Ijin’s old comrades. Yet when they saw each other, they were eyeing each other like predators ready to kill one another instead of friends. Old comrades — friends — but ready to kill each other on a moment's notice.
(Who’s notice?)
Dayeon sighs and opens her eyes. It seems the more conclusions she comes to leave more questions to be answered. It feels like there is a string being drawn in her chest, slowly becoming tighter and tighter the more Ijin’s secrecy piles up. She fears one day it might snap, and whatever emotions she has carefully stored away will come breaking out.
Dayeon absently scrawls 032 in her notebook. She wonders if he’s somehow managed to leave the country yet, or if he’s still in the city. It would be hard to leave Korea without any money—
Her brain screeches to a halt. Wait. He didn't have any money. He was broke. Which means he likely wouldn't be able to eat for who-knows-how-long again.
Dayeon jumps to her feet and begins knocking on Ijin’s door frantically. “Ijin! Ijin, open up!” She whispers.
After a moment, he pokes his head out, dressed in new clothes. “Dayeon? What is it?”
“We need to go to the convenience store. Now.” She says urgently. “Do you have your wallet?”
To his credit, Ijin doesn't question her even though he looks extremely confused. He nods, and soon he and Dayeon are on their way to the convenience store by their apartment.
“Why are we going to the store in the middle of the night?” Ijin asks.
“Your friend,” Dayeon begins, and ignores the way he subtly tenses. “He's broke. I forgot to mention it to you, but that's the reason you found us eating together. He was starving so I offered to pay for his food.”
Whatever Ijin is expecting her to say, it certainly isn't that.
“Oh,” he says. “You gave him food?” For a split-second she can see fondness for his old comrade — no matter what history there was — play on the shadows of his face.
“Yeah. And we’re going to buy him food now. Do you have any idea where he’s staying?”
“A couple but…” Ijin hesitates. “You can’t come.” It might be dangerous, is what’s left unsaid, and she doesn’t argue.
“So I won't be able to see him again?” Dayeon asks. “That's too bad. I thought he was pretty cute.”
Ijin trips on the curb as they enter the convenience store.
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No!”
“Yes!”
Dayeon laughs at the scandalized expression her brother wears as he buries his face in his hands. He looks like he regrets this entire conversation. Dayeon flits around the store, grabbing food and drinks from the shelves like a storm. Ijin watches her and pulls out his wallet when she joins him by the cashier.
The lady begins scanning and bagging the items and Dayeon’s hand lingers on one of the packages. It's one of the meals she had spotted Isak wanting, but didn’t buy because she was paying.
Dayeon stares at the packaged meal, and in a split-second decision, digs into her bag and pulls out a sticky note. Ignores Ijin, who has given up all pretenses of busying himself with paying and is blatantly staring, and writes down a note.
Dayeon caps the pen, forces down her embarrassed hesitation, and smooths the sticky note down on the plastic. She fixes Ijin with a stern look. “No. Peeking.”
“What’s so important about that note that I can’t even see it?” Ijin scowls— no, sulks.
“It’s nothing,” Dayeon says quickly. “Really. Just… an inside joke.”
Ijin raises an eyebrow about that, likely wondering how Dayeon and Isak had gotten around to sharing inside jokes, but thankfully doesn’t press the issue.
The woman who was checking out their items — and Ijin, by default — looks jealous of her boldness.
Dayeon avoids each of their gazes.
***
Isak finally threads the last stitch through his flesh and gasps in pain. It’s been around half an hour since 001 had come and saved his life, and he had finally managed to patch up all the injuries Aiden had left him.
He eyes his blood-soaked hoodie crumpled in a corner and scowls. Aiden, that bastard; that was his favorite hoodie. Blood took forever to get out. That coward had almost managed to bring him down with an ambush— if he had fought him head on, there was no chance the mercenary would’ve been able to land as many hits as he did.
He pants, giving himself a moment to calm his heart and settle his thoughts. He had to get back to The Camp quick, before whatever assholes they sent next decided to fuck him up even more. He is in no condition to fight, and the thought of moving caused him physical pain right now, but he has to get out of here before whatever shady cleanup crew 001 got his hands on in this country came over.
Isak eyes the plastic bag on his right. 001 had said his sister had told him he was broke and had bought him food.
… Maybe he can stay for a quick meal. Now that the immediate danger is gone and his pain has subsided into a dull ache, he’s actually feeling kind of hungry. 001 had already dragged Aiden’s ass out of his hideout, and it would take some time before someone came to clean up the evidence. He has time.
With a groan, Isak reaches over and hooks his fingers into the plastic to drag it forward. The bag is bulging with the amount of food stuffed into it. Isak roots through the packages and recognizes some of them as the food he had been eyeing at the convenience store when he was with 001’s sister.
His fingers brush against something odd. Frowning, Isak pulls out a plastic package of food— with a sticky note attached. He peels off the note.
Don’t forget kindness is free, but if you really want to pay me back, then remember to come back and say hello!
— Dayeon
He can’t help but laugh. He laughs until his ribs hurt; until he’s breathless and his cheeks ache from grinning ear to ear.
Holy shit. That girl is something else.
From the very beginning she’s made an impact on him; he doubts he can ever forget her if he tried. She paid for his food when he was starving— and went even more by leaving every piece of money in her wallet for him because she knew he needed it more than she did.
When they met again, she was still kind, still caring: offering him companionship, sympathy, care— even though they were practically strangers. He thinks of her kindness that is so rare from where he’s from, her knowing eyes, her secret smiles.
It was so weird; in the short time they met, he’d been so aware of her. She had gotten him to let his guard down in such a short period of time; she’d gotten him to talk about his childhood, about his brother—
Even when he had almost fucked up and killed her brother, she gave a chance to explain himself and apologize— and she accepted. She forgave him, and now, was leaving him with a final gift.
Haven’t you ever heard the saying kindness is free?
He rubs his thumb over the ink on the sticky note. He still didn’t believe that, still believed that kindness can still be used as a way to stab someone in the back, but—
He guesses with Dayeon, it might be true.

For your Yugi Raises Jaden AU, I would love to see how the DM gang reacts to Jesse and Jaden's crush??? If you ship spiritshipping
Oh I’m so excited to talk about this. Look over here for the beginning of Spiritshippjng in this Au and will pick up where we left off.
So Jaden calls Yugi once a week. The two are super close and he likes talking to his Dad. It’s also just nice to have someone in his corner when things get rough. He knows he can always ask for help (he’s just awful at actually asking)
But the day after his duel with Axel he goes to call Yugi and asked Jesse to come with him. And this is BIG because all the other characters know that Jaden doesn’t like having anyone around when he talks to his dad.
So the two get all cozy on the roof and call Yugi. (Note:Jesse has no clue who they are calling besides they are Jaden’s Dad. So he’s super shocked when he sees Yugi)
Yugi is also surprised. Jaden has been super serious about not telling anyone at duel academy about his family. So to see someone else with him is surprising.
Now their reactions
Yugi
Yugi is surprised at first. Because 1. His son never calls with anyone and 2. Why is Jesse Anderson at Jaden’s school. He knows about Jesse. If Pegasus lists him as the 4th greatest duelist in the world in cannon (probably the 5th in this Au because Atem is here) then there is no way the DM crew aren’t at least a little aware of who the kid is.
But Jaden introduces them with a “hey Dad I’d like you to met my best friend Jesse!” “Jess this is my Dad Yugi Muto.” And Yugi knows this is special. Jaden hasn’t referred to any of his friends as HIS best friend yet. Sure they have claimed (and fought) over that title but Jaden has never used it. Until now.
Yugi is friendly and welcoming and is able to strike up a conversation with both boys. Asking what Jesse is doing at Duel Academy as he knows Jesse is from North Duel Academy. And Jesse is sitting there a little in awe that the King of Games knows who he is. They talk about the transfer program. How Jaden and Jesse met. What they’ve done together.
And see Yugi is not an idiot. He can see the soft look in Jesse’s eyes when he looks at Jaden. He can see the way his son lights up around Jesse. He’s never seen Jaden like this when discussing his other friends. Yugi is a strategist, he knows how to read people, and he can tell that these “best friends” won’t be just “best friends” for long
I’d like to think he’s taken the video call on his laptop. So his phone is in his hand and he’s furiously texting Seto, Atem, and Mokuba, as they are the ones in the building, trying to get one of them to come and join him on this call. (We will talk about them in a second)
Over all Yugi likes Jesse. He knows he’s a great duelist, but talking to the kid shows him he’s got a good heart.
He is very respectful of his cards, and his ability to see spirits is new information but good information, as Yugi knows how much the Spirits mean to Jaden, Atem, and himself.
He knows how lonely Jaden has been and even if he’s wrong and this doesn’t progress to be anything more, he’s happy his son found someone he trusts this much. Because introductions them to Yugi, revealing his identity as the ‘prince of games’ is a huge deal to Jaden.
He just hopes that Jesse doesn’t betray that trust. He’s putting his faith is Jaden’s choice and he hopes it’s not the wrong move. He knows just how much a betrayal of this level with crush Jaden.
Atem
Atem is the first one to respond you Yugi’s text messages. (He always comes when his Aibou calls. And he’d never ignore a message about Jaden, he’s also the one not currently working in a project)
He walks in pretty early in the conversation, making himself known as soon as he walks in and greets Jaden. And he instantly sees why Yugi was texting them asking for them to come join the call. Because why is another person with Jaden right now?
Again he knows of Jesse. Had watched his tournament. Had heard about him from Pegasus. He did not expect him to be hanging out with his Nephew. Their little prince.
He’s not mad, just surprised. But Jesse had always seemed like an honorable duelist, and now that he’s had the opportunity to talk to him, Atem likes the boy.
He’s impressed with Jesse’s ability to see spirits. Even more so with how he treats them, “they’re my family.” He thinks with a little training Jesse could probably make them physical when he summons them.
He’s even more happy with what he sees from Jaden. The way his eyes light up. The way the two boys look at each other. Atem is trading glances with Yugi because they can both spot what’s happening.
At the end of the call he likes Jesse. He’s a fantastic duelist, seems like a kind boy. And has made a strong enough impression on Jaden to have the boy introducing him to his family. And that’s the most telling part of all.
Atem trust Jaden’s judgement. He hopes that Jesse will be the friend Jaden’s always long for (maybe he’ll be more, but Atem’s not one to put pressure on other people’s relationships)
Mokuba
Mokuba was actually working when the call took place. He was able to join towards the end of the call.
He did a hard double take because, why is someone else here???
Mokuba is scary.
Not in that he’s trying to intimidate Jesse. Oh no he’s very pleasant to his face. But Mokuba is looking up EVERYTHING about Jesse Anderson. He knows everything. Where he was born, his parents, school history, all social medias were found, and I do mean all. Probably had his medical records to.
Mokuba just letting the conversation flow while he’s doing the world’s most in depth background check. Because that’s a stranger sitting next to his nephew. And while Mokuba is the nicer of the Kaiba brothers, he’s just as vicious when he wants to be.
To be fair he’s done this with all of Jaden’s friends and duel academy. As soon as Jaden mentions someone Mokuba and Seto have a file on them. They haven’t done anything with them, yet. But when Jaden finally tells his friends who he is, if things go poorly, Mokuba and Seto have plans….
It is the fastest he’s ever put one together. And he has to admit he likes Jesse. The boy balances Jaden well.
Mokuba knows how lonely it is to grow up as a Kaiba. And while Jaden’s childhood was very different. It was still lonely. Mokuba’s glad Jaden finally has a friend he trust.
But he’s also catching the soft eyes Jesse is throwing Jaden’s way and he’s adding it to the file. He’s got to tell Seto everything later.
Seto
Seto is not on the call. Yugi’s message was very calm. “I’m on call with Jaden, if you’d like to join.” Nothing to cause panic. And while Seto would normally drop everything to spend time with his family, he can’t always.
He was in a big corporate meeting. Something he couldn’t leave. Though he did play with the idea of opening his family’s video chat and just putting himself on mute, listen in with an ear bud. But ultimately he decided against it.
Mokuba sends him a message later telling him to “call me when you’re done.” (Mokuba knows Seto’s schedule)
Seto call Mokuba as soon as the meeting is over. It’s extremely late and he assumes that Jaden and Yugi’s call is over by now, he’s right. But you can imagine his surprise when he calls Mokuba expecting a business update, or some gossip from the dweeb squad that he totally doesn’t care about (he does) but instead is greeted with “Jaden got a boyfriend.”
He breaks his phone.
Just crushes it (like the water bottle in DSOD)
He quickly realizes that he can’t get any more information since he did that and rushes to Mokuba’s office. (The two were heading home together anyway) and storms in there demanding to know what Mokuba means. “If this is a joke I’m not laughing” it is in fact not a joke. At least not entirely.
Mokuba tells him all about the call with Jaden and Jesse. And while Mokuba was only there for the tail end of it, he’s calling what he sees. But don’t worry Seto, I already background checked the guy. (Hands over giant stack of research)
The ride home is spent talking about Jesse Anderson. Looking at his family, his history, his dueling record, anything Seto can think of. He’s not above crushing this kid in every way imaginable. He’ll do it with his wealth and power, or demolish him and his precious deck on the dueling field.
Once they get home he storms toward his and Yugi’s room. He needs more context and information. Mokuba has provided a lot but he wasn’t there for the whole call. Yugi was. He’s also great at reading people. His husband will definitely have some insight on how to best crush this boy.
Yugi sees Seto storm in and before he can ask what wrong Seto is ask five different question about how to best crush Jesse Anderson. And okay, nice to see you to. And part of Yugi is amused. He knows how Seto is. Finding enemies everywhere, waiting for the worst. This is Seto protecting those he loves. But it’s misplaced right now.
Yugi calms him and they talk about the whole video call. Yugi doesn’t think Jesse’s a treat at all, but he’s not going to stop Seto from coming up with his back up plans if he’s wrong. But right now their son has a friend that he trust, just a friend (for now).
And it does help to calm Seto down. But he’s not going to trust this kid until he meets him himself. He’s planning to cancel any meetings next week that way he can be here for their son’s next video call. He wants to hear about this kid from Jaden himself.
Yugi know Seto is still on edge, but there is something else Jaden talked about that has him worried. Professor Viper and his Bio-bands. He was concerned after Jaden and Jesse told him about feeling tired after the duel, Jesse even mentioning that Jaden passed out after his battle with Axel. And that they weren’t the only students feeling this way.
Yugi and Seto both know something is up. There not the type to sit around and wait for something bad to happen. Time to look into Professor Viper.
Joey
Is not a part of the video chat but hears about it by the next day.
He’s so excited that Jaden’s got a friend he trust enough to bring around them. Thrilled.
When he finds out that there maybe a crush, he’s fine with it. He trust Jaden. But if Jesse ends up hurting his littlest buddy well, Joey’s coming for him.
But he’s not to worried. He hasn’t met the kid yet, but from what he hears from Yugi and Atem he seems to be a good kid.
Tristian, Téa, and the rest of the Gang are much the same as Joey. Happy for Jaden and waiting for more information. Because fight now the boys are just friends. (Please calm down Seto)
But they are incoming things about Viper that are concerning.
The next time they call him has joined the group and they are getting ready for Adrian’s dueling party. Jaden and Jesse are getting closer but they’re both worried. After all Hasselberry and Jim were both hospitalized after they fueled each other. Yugi insists that they don’t participate in Adrian’s party (they weren’t planning on it) and Seto is ready to fire just about everyone at the school. (Again)
But they still need to figure out what Viper is doing. Seto can’t just show up at the school and fire Viper. How would he know what was happening at the school without Jaden telling him. The Bio-bands aren’t in and school documents that are being sent to Kaiba Corp. Viper’s done a great job at coving his tracks. Walking in and asking why students are getting hospitalized so often might work but again, how would they know that? They need a little more time. But until then Yugi and Seto tell the boys not to duel with their duel disks until they figure this out.
Another week passes and this time when Yugi calls Jaden he doesn’t answer. (The crew is going to find Viper) and normally Yugi would wait for Jaden to call back, he can get distracted. But with everything going on Yugi knows that’s not the reason Jaden isn’t picking up. Something happened.
One text to Seto ‘Jaden didn’t answer.’ Is all Seto needs to ready a helicopter. He’s going to Duel Academy and taking care of this. Yugi, Atem, Joey, and the others are coming. They’re done waiting. They’ll call it a surprise exhibition or something but they are going to that school and getting to the bottom of this.
If only there was a school when they arrived.
In n conclusion the relationship is to new for any of them to take to hard of a stance on it. But their feelings drastically change once the students are sent to the spirit world. Even more so when Jesse is the only student who does not return.

If you're up to you, maybe some headcanons for dating Mitsui or Sakuragi?
Dating Hanamichi Sakuragi
Tumblr media
When I tell you this boy is head over heels in love with you.
You had to be the first one to confess, because Sakuragi after being rejected so many times became so DENSE and didn't have a clue that you liked him although there were signs.
And when you do, he's actually convinced that Yohei and the rest of the gang are playing a prank on him.
But when he realizes that you're being serious, he has to take a day off from school to process that.
After you become a couple, Sakuragi is all about BRAGGING.
Always has an arm around your waist, or shoulders, having you sit on his lap. And with the biggest smug face anyone has ever seen.
He likes to show you off but not in a materialistic way, he's seriously proud of you (and himself for landing you lmao).
Introduces you to the gang, they like you a lot and you love spending time with them!
Always up to some shenanigans with you and the troupe.
Takes you on sooo many dates at first, he had a date-wish list since he started middleschool, just in case he ever got a partner.
Despite still being a hot-head and arrogant, he's so sweet and caring.
You go to all his games and cheer on him the loudest.
If he's whistled by the ref, he'll shout at him in anger for embarrassing him in front of you.
"CAN'T YOU SEE THAT MY PARTNER IS OVER THERE MORON?"
Dating Hisashi Mitsui
Tumblr media
Mitsui would wait for a partner until he's more mentally okay, so you two would get together after he joins the team back.
Mitsui is very regretful of his past, and would try to hide it for as long as he can during your relationship.
He likes you so much, he doesn't want his delinquent past to be a deal-breaker.
But he finds it hard to keep secrets from you and eventually will tell you everything.
He feels so grateful to have you when you wrap his arms around him and reassure that you still love him no matter what, and that you're so relieved that he's in a better place now.
You helped a lot honestly.
Mitsui would think about the most perfect dates. Going out for a walk in the park, then out for a drink, a fancy restaurant.
Honestly I think you would be his first experience, since he was at first too focused on basketball, and then too lost to think about a relationship.
But he's doing so well, he treats you right.
His love language would be acts of service and gifts I think.
Not that big on PDA, he can get embarrassed, but he loves to hold your hand in public or have his arm wrapped around your shoulders while walking.
Sometimes his insecurities strike him back and you have to cheer him up and reassure him that he's good enough.
He will try his best at games knowing that you're watching.
If you're a sporty type, he'll suggest trying some basketball basics in a street court.
He tries to teach you 3-point throws!
Introduces you to the Shohoku team and invites you to team dinners, if they have any.
In general, although sometimes he underestimates himself, Mitsui would be such a thoughtful, caring partner.

About The Cultists III
How some members of the Shrine of Inazuma joined the cult, what they do at the cult, and where they went after they were told to leave.
Ft. Ayaka, Ayato, Dainslief, Ei, Ei, Gorou, Heizou, Itto, Kabukimono, Kazuha, Kirara, Kokomi, Lumine, Miko, Sara, Sayu, Shinobu, Thoma, Yoimiya
Tw: Cults, Kids being in cults, Child abuse, Child neglect
Published: September 5, 2023
Words: 1,390
Pages: 4.1
Series Masterlist | Regular Masterlist
Ayaka Kamisato: Was introduced to the cult by her brother, and joined alongside him shortly after their parents died. Spends a lot of her time organizing or hosting events for the members living in the Shrine of Inazuma. When the adults were instructed to move out, she was permitted to stay due to her young age, but left anyway to be with her brother. Currently lives in a penthouse with him and Thoma in one of Teyvat City's tallest towers.
Ayato Kamisato: Was introduced to the cult by Ei Raiden herself when he was young, but didn't join until after his and Ayaka's parents died. Spends a lot of time managing the Shrine of Inazuma's funds, creates/updates/destroys rules within the Shrine of Inazuma, and makes appointments with the other factions of The Creator's Grace. When told to move out, he got a penthouse for him, Ayaka, and Thoma to live in. Currently works as a Yashiro Party Politian.
Balladeer Skirmisher: Was introduced to the cult by his mother, the original Ei Raiden, when he was just a kid. Was left neglected by his family after his mother was appointed as an Archon, which resulted in him being neglected by the rest of The Shrine of Inazuma. In anger, he ran away from the cult, and later managed to make himself a new life as a government agent. Was re-introduced to the cult when it came on his team's radar, and is now 'investigating' it. Currently lives a couple blocks from Zhongli's job.
Dainsleif Bough: Was introduced to the cult by Zhongli during his college years, and was one of the original members. Impulsively left after realizing it was a cult, and has since been trying to figure out a way to bring it down.
Ei Raiden: Was introduced to the cult, alongside her sister Makoto, by Zhongli himself. And joined after realizing she had fallen in love with him. Missed her opportunity to become Archon due to indoctrinating nine less people than her sister, much to her disappointment. But was elected as a new archon by Morax shortly after her sister mysteriously disappeared, presumably to meet Their Grace early. Shortly after, she started secluding herself so she could channel Their Grace and hopefully gain Morax's love.
Ei Raiden: Was introduced to the cult by her mother, the original Ei Raiden, when she was just a kid. After her mother was selected to be Inazuma's Archon, she decided to seclude herself to channel Their Grace. So, she was selected to act as her mother's face, and in doing so, earned herself the position of High Priestess. Still lives in the Shrine of Inazuma.
Gorou Watatsumi: Was introduced to the cult by Kokomi, and joined shortly after graduating from police academy. Spends his time teaching the teens and kids physical exercises. Now works as a Captain for Teyvat City's Fourteenth Precinct. Currently lives with Kokomi and some other Believers on the poorer side of Teyvat City.
Heizou Shikanoin: Was introduced to the cult by his boss, Sara Kujou, but didn't join until after he was betrayed by his childhood friend. Spends his time solving any questions his fellow Believers could be having. Currently works as a detective within the TCPD's Twelfth Precinct. Currently lives alone in an apartment a five-minute walk away from work.
Itto Arataki: Was saved by the cult back when he was a troubled teen, and joined shortly thereafter. And although that was years ago, he still stirs up a lot of trouble within the Shrine of Inazuma- mainly with a gang of Believers, who he works with at Arataki Security. A non-official company that will protect and/or get (reasonable) revenge for their clients. Refuses to move out of The Shrine of Inazuma.
Kazuha Kaedehara: Was introduced to the cult by his friend, Tomo, and joined for both new experiences and an easier life. Spends most of his time making poems about Their Grace, or taking the teens and kids on adventures. Typically goes from job to job, but has currently settled for being the First Mate on the SS Alcor. Now sleeps either on the ship, or at The Temple of Liyue.
Kirara: Was saved by the cult back when she was an orphan in the foster care system, and joined shortly thereafter. Like Aether, she spends her time delivering packages between the various compounds. But unlike Aether, she only makes deliveries from The Shrine of Inazuma, not to it. Due to her age, she doesn't have to move out of The Shrine of Inazuma.
Kokomi Sangonomiya: Was introduced to the cult by Ei when she was a child, and later joined with her parents. After joining, she worked her way up to the position of Priestess. Spends most of her time either coming up with schedules for her fellow Believers or figuring out what each kid within The Shrine of Inazuma needs to learn. Currently lives with Gorou and some other believers on the poorer side of Teyvat City.
Lumine Via: Was introduced to the cult by Amber when her brother, Aether, first ended up in his coma. And she joined a few months later; bringing her niece Payton Paimon along with her. Originally spent her time spreading the word of Their Grace, but has recently been told everything Morax has said is a lie. For her own protection, she had to go into hiding, and is currently planning on how to save her niece. Doesn't know that her brother has joined the cult.
Miko Yae: Was introduced to the cult by Ei and Makoto during her college years, and joined shortly after. There, she worked her way up to be the first Shrine Maiden. Spends her time giving advice to her fellow Believers, or playing small tricks on them. Is the founder and owner of the Yae Publishing House. As a worker for The Shrine of Inazuma, she didn't have to move out of The Shrine of Inazuma, and so she hasn't.
Sara Kujou: Was introduced to the cult by a Tenryou Party politician when she was a child and joined shortly after he adopted her. Spends her time trying to gain High Priestess Ei's attention, and doing everything she says. Currently works as the Captain of Teyvat City's Twelfth Precinct. Currently lives perfectly in between her job and The Shrine of Inazuma.
Sayu Shuumatsuban: Was introduced to the cult by Ayato back when she was a child, but didn't join until she ran away from her abusive family at age thirteen. Spends some of her time gathering information from other Believers. But spends most of her time sleeping, thinking it will help her grow, despite what several doctors within The Creator's Grace have told her. Due to still being a teenager, she's allowed to stay in The Shrine of Inazuma.
Shinobu Kuki: Was introduced to the cult by Sara, and later joined after having a falling out with her family. After joining, she dedicated herself to becoming a Shrine Maiden. And while she gained the rank, she eventually abandoned it so she could focus on keeping some new friends, Itto and his gang, out of trouble. In terms of living conditions, she is currently bouncing between sleeping in a homeless shelter and sleeping in The Shrine of Inazuma- despite not having permission to stay there.
Thoma Fix: Was introduced to the cult when The Shrine of Inazuma saved his life and joined shortly after. As thanks, he spends his time fixing various problems his fellow Believers might experience. Which in turn got him a job as a secretary for Ayato Kamisato, who doubles as a housekeeper for him and Ayaka. Both of whom he lives with in a penthouse Ayato bought.
Yoimiya Naganohara: Was introduced to the cult by Itto, but didn't join until she had a bad fallingout with her less-than-reliable father. best friend!itto who brightly smiles like the sun when he introduces you to the most precious person in his life, his grandma. who blushes so hard when his grandma accidentally mistakes you for his significant other and will whine in embarrassment at his grandma as he corrects her while you shyly laugh it off
best friend!itto who starts to think about you a lot more after you got more personally involved in his life, eyes softening when he remembers moments with you and how well you got along with his grandma. who takes a while to realise that he likes you, and not just as a best friend, but more on as an actual crush
best friend!itto who will wait for the perfect moment and definitely throw rocks/pebbles of all sizes at your window balcony to get your attention when you've been put on a house lockdown by your parents. plus points when you open the doors to your balcony too early and he accidentally hits you with a small pebble
best friend!itto who wakes you up at 3 in the fucking morning to sneak you out of your house when you just wanna sleep, only to bring you with him on an onikabuto hunting quest since he says 'you need to see him catch it'
best friend!itto who confidently takes the lead on the pathway to the special onikabuto but gets you both lost halfway, treks through the bushes/trees and surprisingly finds a clear spot that overlooks part of the towns in the distance and smugly grins at you as if this was what he meant to do – you rolling your eyes at that grin of his
best friend!itto who brings you over to the spot and lets you admire the view from above, "seriously itto, you really know how to make a trip worthwhile, accident or not". best friend!itto who can feel his heartbeat quicken, struck by your eyes sparkling so much from this. best friend!itto who sees you turn to him and takes his chances, bursting out the words, "uh.. uh, y/n, i don't want us to be friends anymore cause, CAUSE I REALLY LIKE YOU AND WANNA DATE YOU!!" well, it's out now...

Fugo Joins the Gang
Word count: 1,521
Summary: set sometime in 1999. Bruno recruits a 14 year old Fugo & Prosciutto is not impressed. CW for light violence -? (There's some grabbing and shoving)
Tumblr media
“Prosh? We're back,” Bucciarati called as he unlocked the door to the shared apartment. He didn't always call to his boyfriend when he came home, the two usually went about their independent days alongside each other; but Bucciarati brought company today.
“We?” Prosciutto’s voice came from the kitchen, followed by the sound of his coffee mug clinking against the table. “Who do you have with you?”
Bucciarati hung his coat by the door, then nodded for the boy beside him to do the same. He politely shook his head, and Bucciarati simply led him through the doorway where Prosciutto was now waiting.
The blonde man sitting at the table sat up straight in his seat as they entered. His expression soured slightly — hardly noticeable, unless one was looking — as his eyes raked over the boy's face and frame. He was kind of short, and very scrawny, and blonde. Most importantly, though, the person Bucciarati had brought into their apartment was a child. There were no two ways about it.
The boy didn't introduce himself, so Bucciarati spoke up.
“This is Pannacotta Fugo. He's going to be working with me now, so I... I told him he could stay with us for a bit,” he said plainly, stepping aside so Fugo could step into the kitchen properly.
Fugo stuck out his hand to shake, but the blonde man wasn't even looking at him. He kept his cold eyes on Bucciarati as his face cycled through every flavor of disappointment Fugo had ever seen.
“It really is lovely to meet you,” Prosciutto said, and his tone was a little too sweet for the face he was trying so hard not to make. It was almost patronizing. “Pannacotta? That's a beautiful name. I have to talk to Bucciarati in the other room for a minute, we'll be right back.”
He didn't give Fugo any time to answer before he was dragging Bucciarati away by the elbow. Bucciarati shoved him away after two feet, but still went along. Their heels clicked in time out of the kitchen and faded down the hallway.
Fugo just sighed and sat on the counter. No matter where he was, his appearance always seemed so controversial. Maybe Bucciarati's friend here heard about the court case. Maybe he caught wind of this purple thing Fugo was stuck with now. That same thing manifested in the kitchen with him, like it was trying to keep him company. He didn't send it away.
Prosciutto caught Bruno’s arm again as they turned into the bedroom and kicked the door closed behind him. Bruno frowned and tried to pull free, but Prosciutto was still holding on tight. He narrowed his eyes at Bruno, glare deadly serious. Bruno quit struggling.
“Are you fucking joking? Bringing him around here like that?” Prosciutto said in a harsh whisper. Bruno’s eyebrows knitted together in a look of confusion, but he didn’t respond immediately. Prosciutto’s face fell for just a second as he realized that maybe Bucciarati didn’t see the issue here. He spoke more softly, but still held the other man in place. “Bru, he’s a kid. He shouldn’t be here.”
Bucciarati swallowed thickly, but he kept that same look of steel. He was used to gangsters getting in his face. This wasn’t that different. He finally managed to pull his arm free with a grunt.
“He’s a college student,” Bucciarati said plainly. “Pre-law. He’s educated, and very articulate, and he—”
“How old is he?”
A pause.
“I said, how old?”
“Fourteen.”
“Bruno...” Prosciutto sighed. Bruno’s expression never changed, never wavered. His blue eyes held that same ice.
Prosciutto hated it.
He hated that Bruno knew just how to get under his skin. He hated that he acted so well as a brick wall. He absolutely hated when Bruno refused to see he was wrong. Another moment of silence passed between them before he grabbed him by the sleeve again. “Send him home, Bru.”
“What home?” Bruno snapped. “He’s living in the streets and starving. Is that the kind of thing you want me to send him ‘home’ to? Am I supposed to just leave him in the same gutter I found him in?” His voice shook, but Prosciutto couldn’t tell if it was anger or he was about to burst into tears.
“You didn’t have to take him in. You aren’t a nun, Bucciarati, it isn’t your job,” he said sternly. “You can’t keep him like he’s some kind of pet—”
“He isn’t a pet.” Bruno scowled. “And this isn’t some sort of charity. Don’t be so ridiculous. He’s smart, he’s well spoken, he’s passed Polpo’s test...”
“He’s a kid.” Prosciutto was very firm in his stance.
“He's staying here, Prosh. I'm not throwing him back out like that. He needs food, he- he needs something. Our couch is a hell of a lot better than some disgusting alleyway.”
“You're trying to keep him safe or something?” Prosciutto scoffed. “How long until that kid has a gun pointed in his face? Or worse? You can't actually think this was ever a good idea.”
“I was his age when I first joined Passione. Younger, even. He isn’t incapable.”
“So shouldn’t you know better than anyone?” He caught Bruno in a harsh stare, and a heavy silence fell over them. It was as if all of the air in the world stopped moving. “Shouldn’t you know how badly this fucks a kid like that up?”
Bruno said nothing. Their blue eyes stayed locked in an icy gaze, like if one of them backed down even a little, the other's look would swallow him whole. He pulled his arm free once again and something in his expression broke. Anger oozed through the cracks in his cool until it had soaked his whole face.
“Get out,” he demanded after a few tense minutes. Prosciutto stayed staring. “Did that sound like a joke? Get the hell out of my apartment before you’re leaving in an ambulance.” He reached around the blonde to open the door for him, and was hastily pushing him through almost immediately. Prosciutto grunted as he was led out.
“Alright, I get it. You don’t have to put your hands on me.”
“Just shut up,” Bruno muttered. “This is fucking ridiculous, I’m not being spoken to like that in my own home.”
Fugo heard the heels clicking back toward him, then past him and he looked up to see the blonde man grabbing his coat. He looked into the kitchen and gave another one of those disgustingly sweet fake smiles. It made Fugo want to turn in on himself until he disappeared. Prosciutto didn't seem to pick up on this, or if he did, he didn't really care.
“Sorry about that. We’ll have to meet some other time.”
“Mmh,” Fugo grunted quietly. Bruno started counting down from five, and Prosciutto was gone. The apartment didn’t feel any lighter.
Bruno sighed as the door finally closed, and leaned against it for a good minute. It was only after he calmed down that he remembered Fugo still all alone in the kitchen.
He came back into the room as Fugo pulled that wretched thing back inside of him. Bruno didn't speak just yet, only came to sit beside Fugo on the counter. He sighed.
A beat passed, and Fugo worked up the nerve to ask, “Did he leave because of me?” Bruno's face softened immediately as he placed a hand on the boy's shoulder.
“No, no he didn't. He left because he's a—”
“I heard you arguing,” Fugo said flatly. “He's angry that you brought me home.”
This made Bruno pause. What Fugo said was right, but it wasn't his fault Prosciutto left. Bruno did kick him out, after all. He bit his lip.
“Well, yes, but he's angry with me, not with you. Prosciutto is very... rigid, though I have no doubts he'll come around to you. As long as he can stay around long enough to know you...” He muttered the last part to himself, mostly. Fugo nodded, swung his feet where he sat. They were quiet for another minute.
“Isn't... well, doesn't he live here too?” Fugo asked. Bruno chuckled, but he didn't sound very amused. He closed his eyes.
“Yeah, he does... I wouldn't worry about him, though. I'm sure he's got more than enough places to spend the night.” Fugo nodded again.
“I'm sorry.”
“Don't be!” Bruno said quickly. “It isn't your fault. It's his. Or mine. I don't know,” he admitted. “But it's nothing you did, I can promise that. I can tell you're going to be a very important addition to our team. I meant it when I said that.”
Fugo went quiet again, so Bruno slid off the counter to face him. He wasn't really sure what to do now; this meeting was less than ideal, but he still wanted Fugo to feel comfortable, especially after what he'd been through.
“I'll go get the extra blankets,” Bruno said as he turned to leave. “You, uh... you come out of the kitchen when you're ready, alright?” Fugo grunted in response, and Bruno was gone, too.

Fluff Alphabet - South Terano
I feel like there isn’t a lot of love made for our big boy South so I made some myself :)
Fandom: Tokyo Revengers Letters: T, E, R, A, N, O Warnings: None, Fluff
Enjoy ~
Tumblr media
T hrill - Do they need to try new things to spice out their relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
I feel like Thrill is South’s middle name
Enjoys a good spontaneous moment –so you better buckle up if you’re with him
Some days its chill and all he wants to do is hang out w/ you
But there will be days he’ll text you to be ready for him to pick you up w/ no further information
“Get ready, Baby. I’m picking you up in 20 minutes.”
“Pack a bag with something warm, we’re leaving after I come home from work.”
The adventures could very from just randomly going picking up food and sitting in the park on a good day or he might try to rope you into skydiving
You never know tbh
Over all, he’s a blend of both :)
E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
South is… something that's for sure
He can let his boisterous personality get the better of him sometimes
He really needs a s/o who will put him in his place and will step toe-to-toe with him
Not only it take him down a notch but he would find it not only cute but attractive if you pushed back at him a bit
If you’re gonna be with south you have to kinda keep up with him
None of that is to say he is controlling of his partner but he does need a partner that can be upfront with him about things that are important
So yes and no –yes, he can get ahead of himself and no, if he has a partner that can balance him out and knock him down a peg when needed
R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
As much as I think South would flaunt you and be proud to have you on his arm
And would spoil you when he can
I don’t think he’s romantic in the traditional sense
I think he leans on the cheesier side of things but he be kinda a goof when he tries –but its cute
He would do the cheesy thing to playing you music or dance with you in the middle of the kitchen or wherever he hears music that fits the vibe
A ctivities - what do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
South likes going to the gym w/ his partner
Even if they are just watching him or being extra weight for him to lift
He likes to play you new pieces he’s learned or heard on the piano
It’s always fun if you join in whether w/ another instrument or sing even if you’re bad he doesn’t care
N icknames - What do they call their s/o?
His nicknames for you:
Babe
Cutie
Little Bird
Baby cakes
Tiny
Your nicknames for him:
Mina
Me-me
Sou
Baby
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
A big idiot –in the best way
He’s definitely not quiet about his love for you, there is no guessing about whether or not you’re together
He’d probably formally introduce you to his gang and order them to ensure you’re safe when you’re around and he can’t do it himself
I imagine he’d get you a big bouquet of flowers or your favorite dessert or better yet both!
He’s a bit theatrical
On your anniversary kinda a Go big or go home kinda guy
Spoils you
He’s love language is definitely Physical Touch & Words of Affirmation
Kissing and touching you moment he can get –especially your butt
Tumblr media
Hope you enjoyed this! If you did Feedback & Interaction is always appreciated :)

You can read part 2 ‘braking point’ here
Tumblr media
Berlin greeted you as you walked towards the house. You had met him before after you spoke with their leader. It had been an interesting couple of weeks. A man who called himself El professor showed up one day at your studio after you had a rough day at work and started rambling about his crazy plan to rob the royal mint of Spain. He told you that he knew about your ties with the Italian mafia, kinda using it as a threat because you knew the Spanish police were still looking for persons of interest tied to the mafia case they had running. His whole idea sounded stupid at first but then you could see it all come together and your position in the whole deal. Today was the first time that you would meet the other members of his gang and you were way more nervous than you thought that you would be. 'Nervous?' Berlin seemed to read your mind as the two of you were walking next to each other in silence. 'Is it that obvious huh?' A chuckle left his lips. 'Relax, it will be fine. None of us knew each other beforehand and they all get along so it will work out.' As the two walked down a hallway you could hear music building up, it seemed as if someone was throwing a party in one of the rooms. All of a sudden Berlin stopped in his tracks and gave you a grin. 'Ready to meet the others?' You just nodded.
You were right, they were throwing a party. You could see a dozen people dancing and laughing whiles they were holding beer bottles. 'Havana, meet the rest of the crew.' Berlin pointed around the room as he was speaking. 'Grab yourself a drink and get to know them, you'll see that they are fun.' With those words, he left your side and blended into the crowd. Awkward was the only word to describe the situation as you were standing there by yourself, just looking around and taking in the others. 'I haven't seen you around?' The voice almost made you jump. 'Christ, don't do that.' As you turned around you could see a tall brunette smiling down at you, her dark eyes were sparkling with fun as she saw your expression. 'Nairobi.' She held her hand out so you could shake it. 'Havana, I'm new.' She nodded as she heard you speak. 'El professor talked about getting us a medic of some kind.' She tilted her head to the side as she waited for your reply. 'Yeah, that's me, guess I'll be putting you guys back together if needed.' A grin appeared on your lips as you were talking. Berlin was right, these people were easygoing. 'Let's hope that won't be needed. Come on I'll introduce you to the rest.' She swung her arm around your shoulders as she pulled you with her. After an hour you had officially met everyone, Helsinki had pushed a beer bottle in your hands as the two of you were talking. You figured that he was like a giant teddy bear who looked scary on the outside but had so much love to give. You laughed a lot since the alcohol level in your blood rose because you got pushed bottle after bottle in your hands as you met everyone.
'Havana, right?' You turned around on your heels as you heard a voice behind you. 'That's me.' A guy with brown, messy hair and dark eyes stood in front of you whit a small smile on his face. 'Give me a second, I'm trying to remember your name, don't say it.' You were going over all the faces and names you had seen and heard tonight, those were quite a lot. You had met him at the beginning of the night, he was a hacker and you just could feel the sexual tension he had with the girl who called herself Tokio. 'Starts with an R.' He helped when you couldn't remember right away. 'Rio!' You were practically yelling what made him laugh. 'I wish everyone was as enthusiastic as you when they remember my name.' You could feel how your cheeks were turning red when you realised how you reacted and a small smile grew on your lips. 'Sorry, had too much to drink.' You softly shook the bottle in your hands so he could see what you meant. 'No no, it's fine. Don't worry about it.' He assured you, 'besides, I think we've all had too much to drink. It's our way of dealing with the stress every now and then.' You nodded as he spoke, you could imagine that it was a stressful situation.
It was almost two 'o clock as the two of you were sitting in one of the seats in the room. 'How long have you guys been here, in Toledo I mean?' Rio took a sip from the bottle to give himself some time to think. 'We met five weeks ago I think but we've only been staying here for the last two weeks since El Professor was still looking for some additions to the team.' With his last words, he pointed towards you. 'Ah I see, so I didn't miss too much then?' He shook his head. 'No, we're getting to know each other and teaching each other basic combat moves so everyone is capable to fight in one on one combat at least.' This was so much different from your daily life. You were not completely new to this world since you were a private medic to one of de biggest mafia clans of Spain but you were not used to being part of the actual fighting. Patching people up was your task, not handling a gun. 'Oh, I wasn't expecting to learn all of that. I thought I would be more of a behind-the-scenes kind of person here.' A soft chuckle left his lips. 'Why should we only use your pretty face behind the scenes?' You rolled your eyes at his comment. 'Just imagine the following, if I or someone else gets shot during the heist, you need to come and get us but what if the attacker is still nearby?' You just nodded as you were listening to his explanation, it made sense tho. 'You need to be able to protect yourself in that situation. But don't worry, we will teach you.'
'We will teach her what bro?' A husky voice asked from behind you. 'How to fight.' You answered before Rio could open his mouth. Denver was standing behind you, he had caught your eye from the moment you had entered the room. He had this macho aura and that was your one weakness when it came to men. He eyed you up and down as he took a drag from the cigarette that was placed between his lips before he dropped into the seat. 'Right, our princesa doesn't know how to fight?' You lifted one of your eyebrows when you heard his words. 'Excuse me?' A grin grew on his face when he saw the annoyance on your face. 'You heard me.' Macho meant asshole most of the time and you were not up for this. Not tonight. You faced Rio and gave him a polite smile. 'Well it was nice getting to know you Rio, I guess I'll see you and the rest in the morning because I don't feel like having this kind of conversation with him.' Rio chuckled as he saw the look on Denver's face when you nodded towards him. 'Well, likewise. I think you're a great fit with our group so nothing to worry about Havanna. I'll see you in the morning.' Without giving Denver another look you stood up and started making your way over to Berlin, you could hear the boys exchange some words before you were out of hearing distance. 'Way to go, bro.' 'Oh shut up man.' You tapped Berlin on his shoulder to get his attention. 'Uhm, I don't want to be a burden but I'm afraid that I didn't pay enough attention during our walk here to find my way back to my room.' 'It's okay kid, come on I'll walk you.'
Tumblr media
                                                                                                             [Three weeks later]
'I think I finally got the hang of it!' You had been firing guns the whole afternoon, following Tokio's instructions. Today she was learning you how to handle an assault rifle and made you shoot at some improvised targets. 'I still cannot believe that they never learned you how to handle a gun. I mean, you were part of a mafia clan I would think that was lesson number one.' A chuckle left your lips as you heard her words. 'I was just their medic it wasn't like I went into the field as a hitman or something like that.' She shrugged her shoulders. 'I don't know girl, mafia is mafia.' You walked towards her and swung the gun nonchalantly over your shoulders. 'Are we done for today? I've held enough guns today.' She started laughing. 'Yeah, we're done or we will be late for El Profesor's class.' 'Right, he's going to explain the gameplan, how could I forget.'
The two of you made small talk as you walked towards the makeshift classroom El Profesor made in one of the rooms. 'So, you and Rio huh?' You wobbled your eyebrows as you nudged her shoulder with yours. Tokio facepalmed herself. 'Is it that obvious?' You just nodded. 'Yeah, I think everyone is on you two. Well at least Nairobi and I are and I guess Denver as well since he isn't that stupid.' She started laughing. 'Mark my words, you're going to fall for that guy and hard.' 'Ew, as if. He's a pain in the ass if you ask me.' Denver had been hostile the last couple of weeks. Always giving snarky comments about your whereabouts, mocking you during one on one practice and just being an ass in general, calling you princesa all the time. He was just so annoying. 'Mark my words Havanna.' Without saying another word she walked into the room, taking place next to Nairobi. You had to be kidding, the only seat left was next to Denver. Great.
You pushed the chair back and took place without saying a word. He had other plans. 'Princesa.' The greeting made you clench your jaw as you turned your head towards him. 'Denver I meant it when I told you to stop calling me that. What is your problem?' An arrogant grin was plastered on his face as you looked him in the eyes. 'Just greeting you, nothing more.' He looked away and stared at the professor as he started explaining his plan. Denver started tapping his fingers on the table as he was listening, once you noticed it you couldn't unhear it. 'Can you please stop doing that?' He ignored you. 'Denver.' It was a hiss as it left your lips but he just kept going. 'Dude come on.' Annoyance was written all over your face as you placed your hand on top of his. 'Stop.' As your hands touched a warm feeling spread through your body and you quickly pulled yours back. 'Just stop, it's annoying. Thank you.' It was a soft mumble as it left your lips but it made him turn his head towards you. 'Havanna, Denver, care to share your story with the group?' You cleared your throat and shifted in your seat as you were avoiding everyone's gaze. 'It was nothing Profesor, sorry.' Denver said before you could open your mouth. It felt like high school all over again. 'Pay attention please, I need all of you to make this work.' You mumbled a quick 'yes sir' and ignored Denver for the rest of the session.
'Havanna is our medic as you all know but she will be your partner in the field. Keep helping her the following weeks on combat and gun training so she'll be on a similar level as all of you.' Helsinki turned around in his seat and gave you a smile. 'She doesn't need that much training anymore, sir, she kicked Rio's ass yesterday isn't that right girl?' A small smile grew on your face as you heard his words. 'Hey! She was just lucky that I wasn't a 100% fit, that's all.' Helsinki winked at you before he turned back around. 'It doesn't matter how good you already are, you still need the training. We will be facing trained professionals, you can use all the training you can get.' A shiver went down your spine as you heard those words and you just nodded in response. 'Yes sir.' When El Profesor was done with his info session you left the room before Denver could make another snarky comment.
A couple of days went by and Denver seemed to be avoiding you. No comments, not trying to provoke you, nothing. Helsinki was helping you out, labelling some boxes with the basic equipment that you needed in the field and that wasn't too big, so it was easy to smuggle them into the building before the heist. 'Dude, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you in the head with that.' You gave Helsinki a confused look as you heard voices down the hallway. 'Yeah whatever mate, it doesn't matter. Just go back outside, I can handle myself.' Denver walked into the room with his shirt pressed against his left eyebrow, blood dripping down his arm as he adjusted his grip. 'Well, time to see you work your magic, Havanna.' Reading the situation you went into autopilot mode. Helsinki cleared the desk that was standing in the corner of the room and you ordered Denver to sit while you were gathering my equipment. 'I guess that you don't need extra hands right?' You waved Helsinki's question away while you were looking through the medical kit for the set of needles. 'I've got this, it's probably just a small head wound that's bleeding like crazy. Nothing to worry about.' The Serb walked out of the room leaving the two of you in awkward silence. 'What happened?' You asked as you set up your sterile working field next to him. 'I was training Rio in one on one combat, he hit me in the head with the back of his gun and split my eyebrow open I guess.' You were standing in front of him and slowly took his shirt away so you could see what damage Rio had done. 'Yeah it's just a cut, you'll be patched up in no time.' You made him push a gaze against his head instead of his dirty shirt and started prepping your tools. 'Okay this is going to sting but you need stitches so I have to give you a local anaesthetic.' Before he could resist you had already given the injection and he got a sore grimace on his face. 'I'm sorry.' you mumbled as you reapplied pressure on the wound. 'You're enjoying this, aren't you?' You gave him a confused look. 'You have been the one who has been an asshole from the moment that I arrived here, not the other way around.'He rolled his eyes at your comment. 'So no, I'm not enjoying this. I'm here to patch you guys up if you get injured, that's my job.' After a couple of minutes, you started to clean the dried-up blood on his face, working your way from the centre of the wound to the outside. 'You don't belong here,' he mumbled and it made you stop in your tracks. 'What?' 'You don't belong here, you're a medic not a criminal.' A laugh left your lips as you started working on his face again. 'Oh Denver, do you really think that you're the first person to thinks that of me?' He looked up at you through his eyelashes. 'Oh you really thought that you were the first one, didn't you?' He shrugged his shoulders. 'Well, I may not know how to handle a gun properly but I worked for the mafia, remember?' You were bluffing a bit, you were far from being a career criminal but as Tokio said, mafia is mafia.
'The Italian mafia came to Spain because mafia families aren't really a thing here, you know.' You put away the tweezers and gaze that you were using and started prepping your needle to give him stitches. 'When they came here they had a clean slate, nothing to worry about. I was working at the hospital one day and this guy walked in with a bullet wound telling us it was an accident and that he didn't need the police. When I walked into work a couple of weeks later the same guy gave me the same story and that is how it all started.' Before you started stitching up his eyebrow you commanded him to lay down. 'It was hard at the beginning, being a woman in a men's world. But I'm good at what I do and I work fast, without asking too many questions and that was what they needed. Lay still, you might feel this a little.' With a quick movement you pierced through his skin. 'I've met dozens of men who thought that I wasn't the right person for the clan, but their leader saw something in me and made me swear omerta after something you can compare to an intern period. I've stayed with them for almost eight years.' You shrugged your shoulders. 'Then they relocated to America and I was granted permission to stay in Spain, end of the story.' With quick hand gestures, you stitched up his eyebrow in less than ten minutes. 'Told you I was quick.' A chuckle left his lips. 'But why did you join this job? It's nothing like the work you did before, you can get killed here.' You took off your gloves and started cleaning up the small station you had set up. 'I don't know, I guess I'm missing the thrill of it all.'
You looked at his face, you had cleaned the area around the cut but a big part of his face and upper body was still covered in blood. That was the moment you realised that he was sitting there with no shirt on and the view wasn't disappointing at all. 'Give me a sec, I've towels laying around somewhere so you can get cleaned up.' After a couple of minutes, you threw one in his direction. 'Did you really think that by acting like an arse I would change my mind about this whole plan?' He sheepishly nodded his head. 'I thought that you didn't think this through to be fair.' He got up from the desk and scratched the back of his neck. 'I'm sorry, shouldn't have judged you that quickly. We're all here for a reason, and so are you. Let me make this up to you, I make a neat daiquiri what do you say?' You started laughing. 'It takes like what, 3 ingredients? You must be a terrible bartender if you can screw that up.' He rolled his eyes and started walking towards the door. 'Come on Princesa.'
The two of you were laughing in the living room space, cocktails in hand swaying to some music Denver had put on. 'We could have been doing this for a couple of weeks if you hadn't been persistent on getting me out you know.' He took a sip from his drink before he put it on the table next to the two of you. 'Well let's make up for that lost time then huh?' Before you knew it he had pulled you in close, placing his hands on your hips as your bodies were moving to the rhythm of the music. It suddenly got warmer in the room. 'Oh this is your way of making up for it?' A chuckle left his lips. 'What had you in mind then?' You loosely placed your arms around his neck. 'I was more thinking about doing my chores and everything.' He started laughing. 'Like my plan better, but whatever, I'll do it.' The two of you spend the evening laughing and dancing around the room, drinks in your hands. After some time Tokio walked into the room, grin spreading on her face as she saw the two of you. 'I told you that the two of you would get along eventually!' You just rolled your eyes, ignoring her comment. 'Care to join us?' Denver was already walking over towards his improvised bar, ready to make her a drink. 'You know I never say no to a party.' Before you knew it the music was blasting, it would only take a couple of minutes before the others would be joining you but that was ok. Denver started to pour another round of drinks, shot this time. You rubbed your hands together while you were walking toward him. 'Oh man, I can get used to this.'
                                                       [The next morning]
Your head was pounding when you opened your eyes. The sunlight that was peeking through the window made it even worse and you groaned. 'What the fuck.' You slowly got up and grabbed your head with both hands. 'You can say that I barely remember anything from last night.' Nairobi mumbled from her bed and it made you laugh. 'Auw, don't make me laugh it only gets worse.' She pulled the pillow over her head and groaned. 'Just let us remember that Denver never gets to be the bartender ever again, I'm 100% sure that I didn't only drink alcohol last night.' You tried your best to remember the events of the evening but it was all one big blurry mess. 'I'm going to shower, maybe that will help with getting through this hangover.' You stumbled out of bed, pulling the t-shirt over your ass while you walked down the hallway towards the bathroom. Not caring about the flesh you were showing. 'Look who's finally up.' Berlin's voice echoed through the hallway and it made you flinch. 'Please, don't be so loud it's like Metallica is rehearsing in my head.' He started laughing. 'I heard you made amends with Denver?' You nodded. 'Yeah, something like that.' 'Good, that's good to hear.' You pointed awkwardly over your shoulders. 'Well, I'm going to hop in the shower and I guess that I'll see you at breakfast in a bit.' He nodded and started walking away, leaving you to your much-needed shower session.
The water seemed to wash away part of last night's toll, but not everything. You had found some painkillers in one of the cabinets underneath the sink and had popped two in, not taking any chances. Your head was still pounding as you walked into the kitchen in search of some greasy breakfast. Tokio was sitting in one of the chairs, so was Rio. Berlin was nowhere to be found. 'Well, I feel a lot better now that I see you're in the same state as us.' It was Rio who spoke to you and gave you a small smile. 'Wait until you see Nairobi.' You mumbled back as you opened the fridge. Your prayers were heard as you saw bacon laying in the fridge. Bingo. Without saying another word you started preparing your breakfast not bothered to ask the others if they wanted anything. Autopilot took over as you were staring into nothingness, trying to remember last night. Small snippets of people laughing and dancing were the only thing you could remember. But you were glad that you weren't the only one who had trouble to remember the night before.  When the bacon was cooked you placed it between some bread and took place across Rio and Tokio at the table. 'Was there a training scheduled today?' You didn't ask at anyone in particular. 'You, Denver and I have combat training.' It was Tokio who mumbled the answer, 'but no way that I'm going to throw punches today, I'm going back to bed in a bit. You and Denver can do what you want but I'm out.'  A smile grew on your face as you heard Tokio 'I'm going to eat my breakfast and I'm going back op myself. I feel like I'm hit by a bus,  I can't take extra punches today.'
The three of you sat in silence for another thirty minutes before Rio and Tokio went back upstairs to their room, leaving you in the big kitchen. You ran your hands up your face, through your damp hair as you sighted.  'Morning Prinseca.'  Just the person I was missing whiles I felt terrible.  'Don't, I feel like shit.' He chuckled as he took place opposite of you. 'Here, you'll feel better if you drink a couple of this.' He placed an Aquarius drink in front of you and you gave him a grateful look. 'Thanks.' You eagerly took a couple of sips before you gave him a close look, he wasn't looking that bad compared to the others. 'Who comes that you don't feel as terrible as we do?' He lifted his shoulders. 'I've got some tricks on my sleeve, and this is the third Aquarius that I'm drinking since last night so I guess that's working its magic on me.' You shook your head. 'Next time I'm mixing our drinks or we just keep it by beer.' His laugh echoed through the kitchen. 'Don't do that, please.' You placed your head on the cold surface of the table as you groaned in annoyance at his loud laugh. 'Do you remember everything?' You mumbled without looking up. Maybe Denver could fill you in on the gaps that you had in your memory. 'I think so, you don't?' You shook your head. 'Nor do Tokio, Rio or Nairobi.' He chuckled. 'I'm not surprised by that as the four of you kept doing shots all night. Nairobi puked btw, twice.' Oh God. 'Tokio and Rio went upstairs earlier than the rest of us, Helsinki joined us for a bit and oh El Profesor walked in angry in his pyjamas. He was yelling something about being responsible or something like that.' You didn't do anything embarrassing yourself, that was a win. 'Doesn't sound too bad.'
The two of you sat in silence for a couple of minutes before he started talking again. 'You know that we have combat training right?' You shook your head in protest. 'Tokio won't be joining, and neither am I.' 'Yeah, I figured.' He went quiet again and this time it took a couple of minutes before he started talking again. 'We can hang out later tonight, watch a movie or something like that?' His words had an insecure undertone and it made you look up. Head resting in your hands as you placed your elbows on the table. It was so weird that his demeanour had changed 180 degrees since your conversation yesterday and you could tell that he was actually trying to be nice. 'Let's say that I'll join you if I feel like a normal person again tonight?' A smile spread on his face as he heard my words. 'Deal.'
The world was a bit more bearable, you still had a headache but it wasn't as bad as it was this morning. That was probably the result of the several painkillers you took throughout the day. After you gave his idea some thought, you found yourself in front of Denver's room ready to knock on the door. Before your hand could connect with the wood, the door swung open. Rio greeted you with a big grin. 'Havanna didn't expect to see you here. What's up?' He knew why you were there, you could just tell. 'Yeah, I'-, I'm here to see Denver.' You awkwardly scratched the back of your neck as you spoke. The grin on his face even grew bigger as he heard your words. 'Just go bro.' Denver groaned from inside the room, 'don't be an ass.' Rio started laughing as he stepped aside so you could enter. 'Have fun you two.' Before either of you could react he had already closed the door behind him, leaving you and Denver alone. 'Feeling better I see?' He ushered you to take place on his bed that was placed in the corner of the room. 'Yeah, I'm pulling through.' You answered with a small smile on your lips as you kicked off your shoes so you could climb on his bed. He grabbed his laptop from the desk that was standing in the corner across of his bed and then took place next to you. 'I don't have the biggest variety when it comes to film genres, it's either horror or thrillers. I might had to tell you this sooner.' He laughed. Horror, great. You hated that kind of movies, you wouldn't be able to sleep after them. 'It's ok, you can choose one just don't make it too scary, please. I would like to be able to sleep tonight.' A small smile hung on your lips as you saw his grin. 'Yeah sorry, didn't think of it any sooner and we don't have wifi here so I only can access what I've already downloaded.'
After a couple of minutes he placed his laptop on the chair he strategic had placed next to his bed. ''Friday the 13th' the title read. It sounded familiar but you were sure that you never had seen it before. 'This isn't that scary, but it's a classic that you must see at least once.' He flicked off the light switch above his head and the room went dark. You shuffled in your seat as you made yourself comfortable, leaning against the wall. Denver laid himself down and propped an elbow under his head as he focused on the movie in front of him. The movie started with a big jumpscare and you shifted in your seat, and squinted your eyes. This was the reason why you hated this kind of movies, the damn jumpscares. You really tried your best to keep your gaze on the screen but you caught yourself looking at him every couple of minutes. 'You won't be able to follow the movie if you keep looking at me Havanna.' Blood rushed to your cheeks and you were happy that the lights were out. 'Sorry.' You quickly mumbled while you refocused on the screen.
One of the girls in the movie got grabbed from behind by the killer and you almost jumped out of your seat. A chuckle left Denver's lips as he saw the look on your face. 'You ok?' You just nodded as you grabbed his pillow and pressed it against your chest as the tension in the movie started building up again. 'Come here.' He mumbled as he sat up next to you, pulling at your shoulder so you leaned into his chest. He readjusted the two of you so you were laying comfortably against his frame, feed tucked next to you. To balance yourself you put an arm around his waist. Your heart was pounding in your chest, it made you wonder if he could hear it if pulled you in any closer. He nonchalantly swung his arm around your shoulders. It felt good, the two of you laying together. You didn't care about the movie, you could only focus on his chest which went rhythmic up and down as he was breathing. The two of you stayed like that until the end of the movie. 'It wasn't that bad, was it?' he looked down on you as he asked the question and you started laughing. 'I just hate jumpscares, it takes five years of my life every time.' His laugh rumbled in his chest as he heard your answer. 'Yeah, I've noticed that. I'll keep that in mind for the next movie we watch.' A grin grew on your face. 'Oh so there will be a next time?' You were teasing him and he knew it. 'If it's depending on me then yes.' He had a playful look in his eyes. He had a pretty face: cute curls, big greyish eyes and his lips looked so kissable. Your look lingered a second too long on his lips and you could feel yourself starting to blush again. This man had you under his spell because you normally weren't the type that blushed that easy. But here you were, blushing like a little girl.
He leaned down towards you, flicking his gaze between your lips and eyes. His lips brushed softly against yours as if he was afraid of your reaction to his move. You pushed yourself up so you could press your lips against his. They were as soft as you had imagined. He replaced his hands, slowly dragging them down over your back until he rested them on the small of your back. You broke the kiss for a second so you could straddle his lap, and place one knee on either side of him. His hands found their way under your shirt and he started to trace small incoherent figures on your skin. Goosebumps appeared where his hands touched you. He reconnected your lips and pushed you closer to his chest. His tongue slowly swiped across your bottom lip, asking for entrance and you gladly granted him that. Your fingers played with the hem of his shirt, slipping under it after a couple of minutes. You could feel his abs underneath your fingers as you explored his skin. The two of you leaned back, locking eyes and as if by agreement you started to undress at the same time.
That was how it all started.

                                                 [Presentday, two months in]
Tokio and Nairobi were looking at you with big grins on their faces as they hear you talk about the dinner you had planned with Denver for tonight. 'I told you that you were going to fall for that man. I just knew it from the moment I met you that the two of you would be a perfect fit.' You rolled your eyes and the dark-haired girl and suppressed a grin. 'It is just dinner, nothing special.' 'Nothing special?' Nairobi looked at you with big eyes. 'Then man follows you everywhere Havanna, macho's don't do that unless-' 'Don't finish that sentences.' You had given it some thought the last couple of days. You were into him, no doubt but you were wondering if you were only a fun diversion from the mission. Something to handle the stress a bit better. 'Besides, he doesn't follow me everywhere. He's just being nice, that's all.' The girls burst out in laughter. 'Yeah, keep trying to convince yourself Havanna. I'm nice to Helsinki as well but that doesn't mean that he gets me in his bed.'  You shook your head in annoyance. Denver and you had started this hookup thing, with no strings attached, or at least that was what you thought that he wanted. 'Or is there someone else outside, waiting for you?' There had been a couple of guys but no one ever stuck around long enough for it to become something serious. 'No, it's not like that. It's just, I-.' You sighed and combed with a hand through your hair. 'Like how did you know that it wasn't just in the heat of the moment what you and Rio are doing?' Tokio shrugged her shoulders at your question. 'I don't know, we just knew I think. He's the kind of person I would be with outside of all of this, or at least he's the kind of guy that I would want.' A soft smile appeared on her face. 'He's sweet, cares a lot, crazy smart and he can handle my craziness.' 'Don't forget that he's easy on the eyes as well.' Nairobi pointed out with a grin on her face. 'Yeah he's handsome. I don't know, we just clicked from the moment we first talked with each other.'  See that was the problem, you and Denver avoided each other the first month since he thought that he found a way to get you out of the whole plan and the sexual tension had been building up ever since. 'I don't know guys, I just think that he likes to have fun while we still can and there's nothing wrong with that. I just don't want to think too much of it, what if I'm overthinking this and he just wants something but nothing serious ?' Nairobi placed her hands on my shoulders. 'Havanna, you've got him under your spell. Just go with it.'
Two hours later you sat outside, Denver next to you as you were taking a bite from the pizza he had made for the two of you. He had made you sit on the countertop as he made a pizza, asking what toppings you want. 'You like cooking, huh?' He nodded while he swallowed the bite he just had taken. 'I do actually, it clears my head.' A small slime grew on your face. 'Who taught you?' He shifted a bit uncomfortable, not answering your question immediately and you could already guess the answer. It was an ex-girlfriend. He cleared his throat with an awkward cough. 'An ex-girlfriend, she huh-' He scratched the back of his neck while he was talking, 'she loved cooking and taught me quite a lot. But it was almost ten years ago, I was around nineteen years old then and I never stopped cooking after that.' You turned towards him and gave him a small smile when you saw the awkwardness in his movements. 'You're good at it but I never pictured you for the cooking type.' You jokingly said while you nudged his shoulder with yours. His laughter echoed through the air. 'Oh you didn't? What did you think of me then?' You bought yourself some time by taking another bite from the pizza slices. 'Well, you seem like this big bad guy so I don't know. I imagine you playing pool in bars, hitting on girls with that grin of yours.' 'What grin?' He knew what he was doing as he gave you that darn boyish grind while he had sparkles of mischief in his eyes. You rolled your eyes as he gave you a wink. 'That's the one I'm talking about, but let's continue. I can picture you dancing all night not caring about anyone else but getting a lot of attention from the ladies because you look mysterious.' He shook his head, still grinning. 'Maybe even riding a motorcycle.' 'Havanna, you've watched too many movies.' You shrugged your shoulders. 'That's the vibe you give dude, this is just me observing.'  He playfully rolled his eyes. 'Let's see if I can make some right guesses, shall we?' You shifted in your seat and tilted your head to the side, giving him the 'go on' sign. 'So I imagine you being this conscientious girl, helping people out whenever she can. Oh, you do some kind of yoga in your free time as well. And if I'm the douche who is hitting on girls at bars, then you're the one who pretends that she is not interested while she secretly is. Am I close?' You started laughing. 'No, well I do help people but all the other things you've said are total bullshit.' You didn't have the patience to do yoga and you hated it when men hit on you at the bar, but if it was Denver you wouldn't mind you thought to yourself.
'Are you seeing someone ?' The question caught you by surprise and you gave him a confused look. 'You mean outside of all of this?' He nodded. You didn't even know how that would work, no one knew how long this heist was going to take and you didn't know if you were capable to endanger someone you loved that much so you shook your head in response. And then was there the fact that the two of you were sneaking around and sleeping together behind El Proffesor's back, you weren't the type of girl who would take two guys at the same time. 'Are you?' 'No, haven't been seeing someone seriously for quite some time.'  There it was, you knew that he wasn't serious about the whole situation. 'And it would be crazy to do so right now, you know. It would be cruel as well to the person on the outside, not hearing from us for weeks and maybe run in with the law.' He shook his head and you did the same. It was quiet for some minutes, you gathered all your courage and just blurted the question out: 'What are we doing actually here, you and me?' He cocked one of his eyebrows and gave you a questioning look. 'What do you mean?' You fiddled with your fingers, the courage leaving your body. 'You know, you and me hanging out all the time, hooking up.' He got this 'Ohw' expression on his face when he realised what you were saying and gave you a small smile. The mischief look made place for kindness. 'Oh, well I- I don't really know what actually is going on between the two of us. I just thought that we would figure it out along the way, no?' You took a deep breath, only then did you realize you had held your breath. 'I just find it difficult to read you, I just want to be sure that I don't mistake your intentions for something else.'
Your heart was pounding in your chest and blood raced to your cheeks, making you blush.  'What makes you confused?' A sight left your lips. 'It's just, you're this big tease, flirting all of the time and I thought that you didn't mean anything with that. But then Tokio and Nairobi started talking in on me, saying that you're a macho and that you didn't act like this before and it's just confusing because I didn't think anything of it before and now I just can't stop overanalysing your every move.' Everything came out at once and you dropped our head in your hands, not wanting to look at him after your rant. 'It's stupid I know.' He made you look back up by placing the index finger of his right hand under your chin. 'Hey, it's not stupid we should talk about this. Everything started out so weird for us, I can imagine that it's overwhelming for you, it's the same for me.' A small smile appeared on your lips as he started talking. He let go of your chin and went with his hands through his hair. 'We live under special circumstances and everything we do is exciting. I talked about it with Rio as well since he and Tokio are in a similar situation as us.' Oh if Tokio only knew about this you thought to yourself. 'And the little shit laughed at me as soon as I told him what was going on on my mind, it was a couple of weeks ago and he is teasing me about it ever since.' A chuckle left your lips, Rio teasing Denver? 'Do you think that it's only a byproduct of the high we're living in?'
That was the thing you didn't know. Denver was a great guy, you would fall for him outside of this whole setting but you were afraid that it was him who wouldn't look at you twice outside in the real world. 'I thought that it might be the case for you.' He tilted his head to the side, giving you a confused look. 'I'm not some exciting girl outside all of this. As you said, I'm just a medic who happens to work with the mafia. I'm not even doing that anymore, I'm just an ER nurse outside all of this. I figured that you would get bored of me.'  His eyes had a sad look in them. 'Did you really think that?' You nodded. 'Oh Havanna, I never saw you as boring. I thought you were an innocent girl who had her first run-in with some criminals, I just wanted to keep you from making bad decisions. I didn't think of you as boring.' He gently placed his right hand on your cheek, placing soft strokes with his thumb. It felt as if your skin was on fire underneath his touch. He was so gentle as if he was scared that you were going to break into a million pieces. 'I-' He didn't finish his sentences as he leaned in, placing his lips on yours.  It took you a second to comprehend what was happening but your body went into autopilot. You crawled onto your knees without breaking the kiss so you could get closer to him, placing one knee on either side of him so you could straddle his lap. He placed his hands on the small of your back, trying to pull you even closer. It just felt right. After a minute or two, you pulled back so you could catch your breath. The mischievous look had found his eyes again, it made you blush as he eyed you up and down. 'Oh girl, just to get this straight, boring girls don't do this.' He pointed towards you and the way you were sitting on his lap, 'don't you act so innocent.'  You rolled your eyes at him as you bit on the inside of your cheek, trying to suppress a grin. His mischievousness made place for a new look, he hadn't looked at you like that. He had love in his eyes. 'I was drawn to you from the moment you walked into that party with Berlin. But you just looked so innocent, so pure and I couldn't let myself be selfish with you so I did my best to make you change your mind. I'm glad I failed tho.' He softly stroked your cheek as he spoke. 'Oh Havanna, I've got me under your spell.' Your chest filled with a wonderful feeling, blood rushing through your body making your heart pound like crazy.  'I'm yours if you want me to be, Havanna.'

Older Sibling!MC visiting MC's little brother + Heartslabyul
Tumblr media
It's been a while since you've seen your little brother. Separated by miles of land and sea with your brother at what is basically boarding school, you've been feeling an itch to baby someone again. And your brother never comes home on the weekends, citing it's too much work. Brat! Oh well, you'll finally be seeing him soon thanks to NRC having a "family day" festival, so now's your chance to baby him and meet his friends (and baby them, too).
Deuce Spade is so polite, you jokingly apologize to him for any pranks your brother has pulled on him. Which seems to have been many times! Shame on your brother for bullying such a cute boy!
(Not too much shame though. You're weak to your brother after all.)
Riddle Rosehearts and Trey Clover are also polite--they both offer you tarts! You've heard your brother rave about the sweets at Heartslabyul, so you're wondering if you should try them...
You also think Riddle is super cute! He gets really red when you say that, and it almost makes you want to coo and feed him sweets. It makes you think Riddle is the reason Heartslabyul has so many good sweets (and you're partially right!).
Cater Diamond reminds me of so many people around you. It's not a totally bad thing either! You think he's really cool!
Ace Trappola, you can see from miles away, is pure concentrated trouble. He responds to your teases well and has the most mischievous smirk. He's so cute and noogie-able!
Your brother says the last two already have older siblings, so you can knock off your older sibling schtick, but nothing is going to stop you.
You tell Cater and Ace to consider their selves under your care now, and they both respond appropriately by groaning. It's not your fault they're so cute though!
You really are here to spend some time with your brother though, and leave the Heartslabyul boys to their own devices and families. However, you and your brother do bump into the others as the day passes!
You two are joined by Ace and his older brother for a bit. Ace is describing you to his brother as "the person who wants to steal your cute little brother"
You and Ace's brother laugh in sync, two older siblings too used to having a spoiled younger sibling (and being the one to spoil them. sometimes)
As Ace and his brother depart after a four-way chat between siblings, you noogie Ace hard. He shrieks something about suffering under two "nasty old people's knuckles diggin' into his skull." Serves him right!
Deuce finds you two first! He's mainly here to introduce your brother to his mother, but you get your own short intro too!
Mama Spade is so nice. She offers to show you and your brother baby pictures of Deuce, who vehemently disagrees with that until you bring up possibly seeing your brother's ugly baby photos as compensation.
Deuce and your brother squabble until you and Mama Spade (lovingly) scold and separate them. You send Deuce off with a strong hair ruffle.
Your brother shushes you loudly from calling out to Riddle, but the dorm leader spots you anyway. He seems nervous to separate from his mother...?
When Riddle gets to you, he still seems nervous, but much happier now that he chats with your brother and you.
You two don't keep him for very long, but you leave him with a head pat! He blushes bright red at your action as he excuses himself.
Trey and Cater are together with Trey's family. Cater's couldn't make it, it seems.
You leave your brother to talk with his friends as you entertain the younger Clovers and their parents. Aren't young kids such handfuls? (Not like you could say too much though!)
You invite yourselves into the boys' conversation till Trey and Cater are eventually called out to by Mr. Clover.
You trap those two in hugs! Trey laughs good-naturedly and Cater makes a noise like a whine and oof-sound combined. They both squeeze/pat you back as you let go.
Your brother whines a bit after on how you "totally embarrassed him" by being "gross" with his friends. You claim he's jealous and tell him he'll always be your favorite little brother anyway.
Somewhere in the future, 6 boys are fighting for your older sibling-ly affections.
