Oh, how I've missed you and your mind K! Sincerely hope life's treating you well! 🤧 I think this deserves a celebration, so why not the thought of Dennis' inner golden retriever energy bursting as soon as you knock on his door?

It's been a while since you've visited, giving you all the time you need to catch up not only with work/classes, some family but with yourself! So the second he hears knocking, he comes bounding!

He will give you the biggest hug known to man, spinning you around and copious amount of kisses before hiding his face in your neck, telling you how much he missed you and how proud he is! Hang out or have a night-in, he is ready. The diner? He'll get his keys! Wanna cuddle in his bed? He'll carry you bridal style upstairs! 💗

Let's do the cuddling route because I wanna be swaddled and hugged and loved

"Coming!" He shouts.

Dennis practically throws the rubber dish gloves to the sink, wiping his hands off on a dish towel before tossing that to the freshly cleaned counter top as well. He was nervous again. It'd been weeks since you last came over— heck, since you last saw each other in person. You explained to him that a lot of things were coming up so you'd be less available to hang out, then there was that whole emergency with your aunt. So, to say he felt like he was meeting you for the first time was a delicate way of putting it.

From outside his door, you can hear a small commotion, his muttering to himself in frustration before something falls, you can feel his nerves from outside. Then a series of rapid footsteps thud towards the door, a nearly silent deep breath followed by a sigh, then the door is flying open. Oh. Wasn't he a sight for sore eyes.

"Hi, Den," you sigh with a smile. Dennis can swear on everything holy that he's frozen in his spot. He's smiling too, he knows that much, but he's stuck in place, taking in your warm smile. Then the next thing you know he's wrapping his arms around you and scooping you up completely.

"I missed you so much, sweetheart, you have no idea," he rushes out as he shuts the door, twirling you around. The feeling of your body against his, your arms slung around his neck is absolutely divine, he's all over you, he can't help himself.

"I missed you too," you reply with a giggle when he starts to rain kisses down on your face, muttering an 'I missed you' between each one. You grin the back of his neck and pull him into the first kiss you share in months.

"Mm," he moans quietly against the unbelievable softness of your lips, trying his best to memorize this kiss. It's sweet and loving, each of you pouring your longing into it. The single kiss turns into many, far too many to count, but after some time you both pull back for air, foreheads touching, eyes shut.

"I love you," he whispers breathlessly, the pounding in his chest matching yours, your hearts fighting to be freed from their cages.

"I love you too," you whisper back, sincerity dripping from your tone and soothing any worries that plagued Dennis. The feeling that overcomes him is too much, so he buries his face into the crook of your neck, breathing in your perfume. The boa constrictor of a hold you have on each other slowly tightens.

"Do you want to eat dinner or-or watch a movie or something?" He asks, sounding like he did when you first started dating. You run a hand through his hair and sigh. You were still pretty exhausted from everything.

"Can we... can we just cuddle a little bit?" You ask softly. Your legs are scooped up from underneath you, pulling a squeak of surprise from you.

"Of course, we can," Dennis smiles, already halfway to the stairs. Oh, how you missed this.

𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓼-studio dates-ordering takeout as you settle on the couch with a blanket over you as you snuggle in it and watch him work on his desk as he makes the next top bangers for stray kids, as you guys laugh about some incidents and jokes, sneaking in some suggestions to improve his music as you lovebirds bond.
