the reason ineffable bureaucracy worked is they dont have 6000 years of resistence to love to work out. they dont have that baggage of years and years of saying something else instead of what they truly want to. the reason that ineffable bureaucracy worked is because they talked, they knew what each other wanted. did they deserve it??? i dont know, some people say they do and some people say they dont. we dont even know if gabriel or beelzebub felt like they deserved it. but its what they wanted. they took what they wanted and it was each other. and they both agreed that everything else is worth being torn to shreds to have one another's love. did aziracrow ever do that??? did they ever tell each other that they wanted each other to stop pretending in all that time??? did they decide to give a name to the feelings they had for one another??? not really until the end. they had milleniums together. but they had to dance around so many loopholes, danced around so many different excuses, glanced down to hide the love in their eyes. beelzebub and gabriel gave in to the consuming love they felt. aziraphale and crowley didnt, not until it was all too late. crowley was right to say that it was always too late. thats why they ended up breaking their hearts. it was always too late.

I just finished Good Omens Season 2 and I have some BIG FUCKING FEELINGS, mostly about the last episode, so. You know. Spoilers ahead.

In no particular order, but starting with what is seriously SO devastating to me and working from there:

Aziraphale wants to go after Crowley SO BAD. "But... My bookshop!" I'm sorry Angel, you pronounced it wrong - it's, "But, my boyfriend!!" He wants to postpone Metatron like he did before the Apocalypse, so he can run after Crowley and I am devastated that he didn't get to. 😭

ALSO the end credits with Az going up in the elevator and Crowley driving away, I feel like you can just READ it in Aziraphale's face: "He'll see, I'll prove it to him. I will SHOW him how I can protect Us. How I can protect EVERYTHING. (ESPECIALLY the love of my eternal life.) I WILL. Make. A. DIFFERENCE." Because that scene is AFTER Metatron says, "We call it the Second Coming." Our Angel is momentarily TERRIFIED for what will happen to the Earth but then he gathers himself and you can SEE the level of devotion this ineffable fool is about to put into making SURE everything he loves (Crowley) (also, the Earth, but) (Crowley) is safe.

Crowley just being left with the overwhelming feeling that he's not enough for Aziraphale EXACTLY as he is, that the conditions for Aziraphale's love don't have room for the DEMON Crowley, only for his former Angelic self. (I wanna tear my HEART out, these goons are gonna kill me.)

And now, for the obvious one, The Kiss™. I saw so many spoilers, lord have MERCY. I do wish I had avoided social media as soon as I saw Season 2 was here, but I am a DAMNED FOOL. I will not make the same mistake when season 3 comes out in (WAY TOO LONG I NEED IT RIGHT NOW DAMMIT) what, like 3 years? 🥲

So, that was a little bit ruined for me, but still very powerful:

The way Aziraphale has to FIGHT not to embrace Crowley too (the HAND), the way he has to come back up from whatever depths of "I had never even DARED to hope but now this is actually HAPPENING" that Crowley transported him to, gasping, confused, elated, and HEARTBROKEN, the way he says, "I forgive you," either as a way to push back emotions he doesn't feel like he's ready to deal with yet OR as genuine forgiveness for the pain Crowley has put him in by refusing to go with him. (I REFUSE to believe it was forgiveness for the kiss itself.) The way he gently touches his lips. I'm assuming he's thinking, "Yes, but not NOW. Not like THIS."

The way Crowley just. Fuckin GRABBED him. So desperately. "PLEASE understand what you're doing to me. PLEASE understand how I truly FEEL about you. Please... PLEASE don't go." The way he looks cautiously HOPEFUL that THAT would be enough to make Aziraphale stay, holding on until the final confirmation that he's not going to, "I forgive you." The way he says, "Don't bother." It all GUTS me.

"Nothing lasts forever."

"i NEED you." 😭

When Crowley is talking about how they don't need Heaven or Hell, and Az is shaking his head because he KNOWS that it doesn't matter if they run away together, they'll never be FREE. They will ALWAYS know that they abandoned Earth to the whims of Heaven and Hell and that he and Crowley could never truly be happy with that sacrifice. They BOTH love the Earth and everything on it and NEITHER of them would be able to live with themselves if they left it unprotected and something happened that they could at least TRY to prevent. He knows the ONLY way to save EVERYONE is from the INSIDE.

And Crowley knows PERSONALLY what the consequences of that type of thinking are. He doesn't WANT to see Aziraphale go through what he had to go through, for simply ASKING a few questions. He SAW what they were going to do to Gabriel, for outright DENYING Heaven's plan for Apocalypse 2.0. He doesn't want his Angel to fall, because he SAW what happened to him after his first little lie, how it ate him up inside, when Az just THOUGHT he was a demon now. Crowley can't even bear to IMAGINE what Aziraphale would go through KNOWING he was actually a demon because he tried to directly influence or change the Will of God. Crowley simply canNOT bear to watch. (But you and I both know he'll be there anyways. Aziraphale always needs rescuing and Crowley needs to always rescue him.)

"But rescuing me makes him SO happy."

I can't get "It's always too late" out of my head and there WILL be art incoming, wait and see.

I am deceased. But, I will be back with more after I rewatch the entire season. Possibly even the whole series, I need to go back to the ending where everything seems like it's going to be fine for a while, to soothe me achin' heart. 😭

Good Omens 2 Spoilers

This is all me being absolutely normal about it.

I need everyone to know that I don't speak English, I just went through all this through the translator and I don't have the strength in me to correct it. It's three o'clock in the bloody morning and I barely finished the last chapter I wrote this.

The second season of Good Omens ripped me apart from the inside out. I saw absolutely nothing before the premiere, neither the trailer nor any post about it, I didn't even stop for the theories (well, I did a little) and the fanarts.

And my God.

I'm fucking crying and I don't know if it's the good way or the bad way.

Aziraphael and Crowley if they knew each other before they fell 😭😭, they were friends who hung out. Aziraphael apparently misses those times a lot. Crowley is so cute in this, like, I legitimately feel like I could sit down with him and have a lively conversation that doesn't involve alcohol or dolphins.

(Also, the scene where Crowley covers Aziraphael with his wing from the meteor shower (what were those things???) made me squeal with the same energy as a little girl when her parents tell her to buy her favorite ice cream).

Aziraphael is apparently a landlord??? like, wtf (And Crowley lives in his fucking car with two (2) boxes of plants, lol). I really liked Maggie and Nina, although I feel sorry for Nina and the whole thing with her (ex)partner (although it's also pretty obvious that the chick was kind of intense).

Crowley going back to the bookstore after his fight with Zira (and his run-in with Beelzebub) to protect him is very 😭💚💚. Crowley has actually been helping him since time immemorial (and wouldn't it be a happier world if he could continue to do so?).

The whole street probably thinks Mr. Fell has weird fetishes, just imagine the rumours.

It's fun to think about how Miguel got a desk based on Gabriel saying he had one.

Crowley suffers directly for lending his precious car to Zira, and he still does it because he loves it. (Also, Muriel is just too adorable in all of this, dammit, I want to give her hot chocolate and a pat on the head for her good work 🤧).

How come Gabriel and Beelzebub developed their bloody romance before the beings that were rightfully "running around" for six thousand years????? It's the funniest and most pathetic (for my ineffable (😭😭😭) husbans) I've ever seen. It is also sweetness that rots teeth).

Crowley's angel costume is fucking hilarious.

After the whole climax is resolved (I'm not commenting on it too much, I'm still processing it) Crowley finally gets up the nerve to tell Aziraphael his feelings (with a lot of help) but is interrupted by Zira, who (dramatically a bit) told Crowley that he could return him to when they were both happy together, like angels, in heaven, which shows us that even though Crowley is Crowley, he prefers the No-fallen-angel-Crowley in order to fulfill his perfect fantasy. And yet, after that, Crowley confesses to Aziraphael, offering to stay together, just the two of them, on his own side. Azira can't accept that, and Crowley can't accept Azira's offer, and after a kiss (which felt like a stab to my heart) they went their separate ways.

AND END

I'M YELLING TOO MUCH

I don't know how to feel about it; my expectations for their relationship was that they would hold hands, not that.

The ending is so perfect and yet so fucking painful 😭.

I need a 3rd damn season (or not, I really (very painfully) liked the ending it had, though the whole second coming thing in the finale has me 👀 if you know what I mean).
