Main Info of my BNHA Hogwarts AU series

Hello! This will be quite a masterlist to understand the main world around the “(In)feliciter, sentio me a te fascinatum esse praesertim” series on AO3. Here I will put all characters’ houses/roles and some other points I need to make clear. Their status as Muggle-born, half-blood and pureblood is actually not so relevant (except for some characters), but I still wanted to add it. Just a little note: in every installment I will repeat these details if they are important in that story – like, what is UA in the first installment, or Todoroki’s Hogwarts house in the second et cetera – but surely having them all listed in one place might be more comfortable for all readers.

As said in the first installment, the students in class 1-A and 1-B in the BNHA universe are all part of this “pre-Aurors” program (UA, aka “Union of pre-Aurors), which was born due to the Minister of Magic’s (Yeah, Wash, just for pure meme power) and the Head of the Auror Office’s (Endeavour, after All Might’s retirement) request. The League of Villains here is kind of a new group of Death Eaters that still quite worships the previous evil mages even after literal centuries from their departure. I don’t know if I’ll ever make a more “action-centered” installment, since I am really bad at writing “heavier” stuff, but this would be the enemy the students would face.

Again, as I mentioned in the first part, everyone must choose a nickname due to this rise of this organization to cover as much as possible their identities. So I will use the hero names the characters chose in the manga. Though even just some teachers (like Ectoplasm) preferred, for personal reasons, to mention only a nickname to the students too. In this case, just Nezu (Hogwarts’s headmaster) is aware of their real name. This was mostly needed due to some Heroes in BNHA who still don’t have a real name reveal. Regarding names, yes, the students will mostly use the surnames to call each other, and change only when they are really close to that one person, just like in canon. Considering the others use Harry’s surname too in the books, I thought that even here it could work. Also, maintaining that beautiful use of the first name in Japanese makes everything more special.

The course begins in the fifth year and ends in the seventh, it lasts two hours per session and there are four lessons each week. Due to its practicality and privacy, the Room of Requirement is the place where the course is attended, and only “Aurors in training”, Vlad, Aizawa and Joke know what they have to think about to make the class appear. The classroom is divided in two big parts, one for more “theoretical” studies and the other for dueling/sparring. Yeah, because I still can’t think that Aurors don’t get basic physical training in the books – okay that there is magic, but if you don’t have the wand for whatever reason, sometimes even a good punch can do wonders. No, this is not an excuse to create some sparring tension. Another note: the classroom (A and B) still remains, because, well, teaching forty students at once might be a tough challenge. Though, sometimes the two classes do lessons together anyway, especially dueling ones.

All the adults that in BNHA were pro heroes are now or teachers or Aurors. This doesn’t apply only to UA professors who are both (for the UA obviously the Ministry choose Aurors still in duty to teach the students). Camie, Inasa and Shishikura will appear later on. Camie is a Beauxbatons student, while the others study at Durmstrang. In my fic these two schools are now even more “affiliated” with the other, since the two headmasters are married. Camie is still a year older than the others, but due to some of her “problems” that will be explained in one of my fanfics in this series, she began going to school a year later than normal.

Regarding students with particular physical features (Ojirou’s tail, Hagakure’s invisibility, et cetera) they obviously disappear here, at least mostly. Hagakure for example loves Invisibility Cloaks and wears them frequently to prank others a little bit. Ojirou is an Animagus – so, well, his tail appears when he transforms – and Mina keeps his pink hair color due to her Metamorphmagus status. Though, these and other characters’ details (such as the reasons for their Auror name) will be included in the appropriate installments.

Now, here’s the whole list!

Gryffindor

Toshinori Yagi (All Might) – ex Head of the Auror Office, now Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and Head of Gryffindor House at Hogwarts. An inspiration for both Midoriya and Bakugou. Muggle-born.

Moe Kamiji (Burnin) – Charms professor at Hogwarts. Half-blood.

Tsunagu Hakamata (Beast Jeanist) – Study of Ancient Runes professor at Hogwarts. Pureblood.

Air Jet – Flying Professor at Hogwarts. Muggle-born.

Crimson Riot – retired and legendary Auror, Kirishima admires him a lot (like in canon). Pureblood.

Keigo Takami (Hawks) – Auror, number one fan of Endeavour, becomes his “right hand” after Endeavour obtains the Head of the Auror’s office title. Muggle-born.

Shinji Nishiya (Kamui Woods) – Herbology professor at Hogwarts, has a bantering relationship with Yu, while their mutual Auror friend, Edgeshot, is always the poor third wheel. Half-blood.

Rumi Usagiyama (Mirko) – badass Auror. Half-blood.

Izuku Midoriya (Deku) – Seeker in the Quidditch team, UA student in class 1-A. Pureblood, comes from a poor family.

Mina Ashido (Alien Queen Pinky) – Beater in the Quidditch team, UA student in class 1-A. Pureblood.

Eijirou Kirishima (Red Riot) – Catcher in the Quidditch Team, UA student in class 1-A. Half-blood.

Asui Tsuyu (Froppy) – Prefect, UA student in class 1-A. Half-blood.

Denki Kaminari (Chargebolt) – Catcher in the Quidditch Team, UA student in class 1-A. Pureblood, but doesn’t care about it and neither of his family members do. In fact, he loves Muggles’ technology.

Setsuna Tokage (Lizardy) – Beater in the Quidditch Team, UA student in class 1-B. Half-blood.

Yosetsu Awase (Welder) – Catcher in the Quidditch Team, UA student in class 1-B. Muggle-born.

Mirio Togata (Lemillion) – Keeper in the Quidditch Team, UA student in class 3-B. Pureblood.

Boy definitely plays a wind instrument. I’m assigning him clarinet

Wants to be first chair so bad, he practices so freaking much I swear

ALWAYS. IN. A. BAND. ROOM. with Iida and Uraraka. They’re always practicing

He’s so confused with music theory, please help him. He just,, WHY is it minor?? WHY IS THERE A SOLO WITH NOTHING WRITTEN?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE HAS TO IMPROVISE WITH THE CHORDS WRITTEN OVER THE BARS-

Ochako Uraraka:

ALTO SAXOPHONE-

She’s also comfortable enough to play 2nd or 3rd clarinet if needed, or even soprano saxophone

Doesn’t have her own instrument, she borrows from the school and she HATES the reeds, they’re crap. When someone gives her a good reed, she CHERISHES it.

In jazz band also! With the same instrument, but she doesn’t feel ready for solos so she’s usually 2nd or 3rd. Bro when she has to switch from swing to straight she ALWAYS forgets and it’s the band’s downfall.

Tenya Iida:

And he’s one of THOSE trumpet players, by the way.

“Sir the French horns aren’t tuned” yeah, he has perfect pitch

Literally plays flight of the bumblebee as warm up. Or has his own warm up scales. Never practices right before practice though, he thinks it’s “too late” for that

Has his own trumpet, it’s silver with hints of gold/brass. Takes care of it RELIGIOUSLY.

He HATES having to blow out spit onto the floor, but dude what other choice do you have??

Momo Yaoyorozu:

Sweet angel 🥺🥺 she’s an oboe player

Definitely bought her own instrument

Sight reading MASTER. she instantly gets the key bro, it’s so rare that she forgets an incidental

Definitely leads sectionals all the time. And she does it WELL.

When people (*COUGH* BASSES*cough*) slowdown, she’ll sway to the beat in hopes that they’ll follow her

Kyoka Jirou:

Electric bass or contrabass, give her either and she’s good to go dude.

Also has perfect pitch and knows her music theory WAY more than a high school student should know. She’s a genius.

Her warm ups? Jam sessions with Hanta and Todoroki. She just shouts a key and they go. It’s usually jazz, she plays a pretty constant pattern, Todoroki tries to improvise but hanta takes over pretty quick-

Definitely in jazz band as well. Also in a school competition band (like singer and stuff), also a one-woman-band. She’s in so many bands dude.

Shouto Todoroki:

TENOR SAXOPHONE

Also has a background in flute bc his parents wanted him to have ~versatility~

Knows all the theory in his head, like he knows what’s going on, he just doesn’t know how to explain it

*false note* “sorry my instrument isn’t warmed up, it’s probably my reed”

Has plastic reeds. And reeds ESPECIALLY for jazz.

Oh yeah he’s in jazz band! Loves that he’s like, the only tenor saxophone so he gets all the solos

Rikidou Satou:

TUBA PLAYER IN DA HOUUUSSEEE

Buddy actually brings the tuba home to practice, he drags that thing AROUND.

Always. Slows. Down. But no one knows it’s his fault most of the time, they blame Sero-

Firmly believes in the “basses are the foundation of the orchestra” mindset, he’s so proud to be a bass

Kouji Kouda:

Soprano Saxophone, but can also handle clarinet if the need comes (he just loves the sound of soprano sax you guys)

DEFINITELY in jazz band, but as a Tenor Sax 2 bc he knows if he went as a soprano sax he probably would’ve gotten solos

Is it Momo’s oboe?? Is it Kouda’s soprano sax?? No one knows the different except those two and Jirou

Plays Shostakovich’s jazz suite no. 2 as a warm up

DEFINITELY A SWAYER. He just gets into the mood of the music and SWAYS.

Tooru Hagakure:

Flautist!! She chose it as an 11 y/o bc it was a girly instrument but she really likes it lol

A mediocre player, she spends most of warm up with Mina tho, she thinks that she’ll get to warm up when she’s playing bc I mean— no one hears the flutes

Wanted to main the picolo for the sole purpose that it’s an Ear Destroyer. Aizawa heard the mischief in her voice and said no.

Sight reading?? What’s that?? She has no idea what’s going on, she just pretends to play and when she’s comfortable with the melody, she’ll just step in. NEVER notices key changes and signatures.

Yuuga Aoyama:

LASKHDSJ FLAUTIST!! Also clarinetist. He loves being able to stay where he is during practice even though he changes instruments it’s sort of funny

His cheeks get SO SORE when he plays clarinet though and he WILL complain.

“My flute is so heavy!” Kind of guy.

Definitely has his own instruments and takes GREAT care of them.

Wetting his reed with his saliva?? No, he plops it in a glass of water instead (the reeds are definitely his own, and expensive)

Tsuyu Asui:

Trombone gang bro.

Positions are burnt into her brain dude she’ll never go out of tune.

SO SMOOTH. SOOOO SMOOO- dude she plays so well?? It’s never spitty, but during jazz (yes she’s in jazz), if it’s a moody piece she KNOWS how to make it juuussssttt airy enough to be beautiful

Not that good with fast songs, but she makes up for her amazing ass vibrato and her range. GOD-LIKE RANGE.

Mashirao Ojirou:

FRENCH HORN!!!

Omg he plays like a king. And he’s so proud of being the ONLY one playing French horn, but there is PRESSURE, because a French horn is rlly tricky to tune dude. Have you SEEN it??

Always keeps his mouthpiece with him, as if he’s afraid someone will play his instrument?? Like no dude it’s good in it’s case but you do you I guess

He doesn’t stand out that much, but in the majestic pieces where he has a 5 measure solo?? He gives it his all and he pulls it OFF. Those moments are always the highlight of the piece

Mezou Shouji:

Bass clarinet!!

Once he managed to growl through bass clarinet and literally ALL the saxophone players were jealous AS FUCK

Buddy goes to a low E♭ like it’s nothing?? And then he goes up to like a high high C and you’re sitting there like THE FUCKING RANGE-

His warmups are like, quick scales and arpeggios. Bro he’s so steady when he plays and he could play for HOURS. Sore cheeks?? Don’t know her.

He so proud of being a bass clarinetist, but when he saw an octobass clarinet?? Aizawa better order one of those for him RIGHT. NOW.

Fumikage Tokoyami:

Baritone saxophone. Also lowkey really wants to learn bassoon because it’s such an old instrument

SKSKS he and Shouji sit next to each other, Tokoyami loves to read off of Shouji’s partition and create the WORST fourths you’ll ever hear. Even Midoriya told them to shut the fuck up once

In jazz band too!! Still plays bari sax

Such,, a good,, sound. So,, meaty,, and full,, and HOT. Bari sax is HOT!!

Plays moanin’s intro as a warm up. Search up the song. It’s bomb.

He loves to figure out new sounds with his bari sax. The Too Many Zooz type of sounds

Hitoshi Shinsou:

PERCUSSIONIST. Especially loves the bells, timpani, vibraphone and marimba.

He’s in the back judging EVERYONE. It’s so great for him, he gets to stand there and cringe and no one will know

Totally able to play 4 mallets like the king he is

Surprisingly enough, he’s rlly good in music theory. Like he could probably compose or transpose something no problem

Aizawa’s favourite, of course. Will ask him to sit in front while they play and circle the parts where he thinks something sounds off

Now that we’ve talked about the NORMAL band kids, I present to you,,, the gremlin band kids

Mina Ashido:

Percussionist as well!! She loves snares but you’ll see her pick up castagnettes even if y’all are playing something like Gymnopédie no. 3 she’s a bit confused but she got the spirit.

CANNOT READ SHEET MUSIC. Like notes?? No. She can do beats, just not notes. Let Shinsou figure out the ancient languages dude

Her and Hagakure don’t warm up, they just gossip together.

Did this to Bakugou more than once

Denki Kaminari:

TRUMPET.

Buddy AIMS to have his spit land on someone sitting in front of him (rip Todoroki and Uraraka)

Thinks he’s cool because he plays trumpet, but he always loses count. God forbid Iida cant show up to practice because Kaminari will die

“Where are we? What are we doing? Which piece are we doing? Where are we starting?” Oh my god he’s so lost can SOMEONE please help him

Always gets in trouble during band camps dude. He and Sero are the Bad Brass duo

Eijirou Kirishima:

EUPHONIUM BABEY!! He thinks it’s so cool and he’ll get so insulted if someone calls it a “mini tuba”

DONT GIVE HIM SHEET MUSIC IN BASS CLEF HE HATES IT PLS JUST TREBLE CLEF

So!! Protective of his euphonium. His name is Johnny, by the way. He named his instrument.

When they finish practicing a piece, he’s the first to give feedback. Usually it’s good, like praises for classmates he heard and thought were really good!!

He’s so sweet. Willing to help others during practice and sectionals too!! It’s so sad that he’s literally on the other side of the room bc KAMINARI NEEDS HIS HELP-

Katsuki Bakugou:

Hehehe he’s a flautist. I’ve stood by this headcanon for like two years.

And he wants to be THE BEST. You never knew growling could be done through a flute until you met Bakugou.

CANNOT STAND slow pieces. He wants to go all out all the time, he always speeds up when the tempo’s slow.

Also in jazz band with what? Flute. Yeah, this is George Benson Time.

Will hit you with his flute if you ever think badly of him for playing flute. He’ll defend flute ‘till he dies.

Hanta Sero:

TROMBONIST!!! TROMBONE BABEY.

Will be so happy if he’s in charge of bass trombone?? Like yay??

Always wants to hit Bakugou’s head while playing.

Bro his playing style?? You know the like, lazy-ish trombone playing? But it’s just so full and smooth and heavy anyways? That type of shit.

In jazz band, he’s actually a natural at jazz, doesn’t practice that much so he’s like not even in a good position, buddy just slouches and sight reads.

BNHA Non/Disney Theme Songs

(This is my personal opinion about the characters and their songs because some others used are overrated)

Yuuga Aoyama - Shiny (Moana), just cause he Cannot Stop Twinkling!!! ☆ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧★~(◡ω◕✿)

Mina Ashido - On My Way (Brother Bear), this song is really happy and upbeat for an upbeat girl. I can't help but see her singing this with Bakugou just growling at her to shut up (One of Best Girls indeed)

Tsuyu Asui - Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride (Lilo and Stitch), I just like to imagine Tsu taking every opportunity to go to the beach just for the water (One of my favourite Best Girls)

Tenya Iida - He Lives In You (The Lion King 2), God damn it, poor Tensei!!! I just always feel so bad for these two brothers whenever I watch Season 2!

Ochako Uraraka - Almost There (Princess and The Frog), This girl is so selfless and she practically works her ass off for her goal, I love her so much! (A great Best Girl is what she is)

Mashirao Ojirou - Go The Distance (Hercules), I can see this from a certain angle if he was given some more screen time but it just fits in his case despite being so underrated.

Denki Kaminari - I'm Still Here (Treasure Planet) MY PRECIOUS BABY BOY! I LOVE HIM!!! Because of how some people look down on him (looking at you, Jirou), I believe that he will have his moment to shine soon and I will be so proud of him. My child deserves more praise than he gets. He Best Boi!!!

Eijirou Kirishima - Make A Man Out of You (Mulan), isn't it obvious? Kiri is just so manly and chivalrous, his dedication to saving Bakugou earns him this song

Koji Koda - Barking At The Moon (Bolt), this song really gives me a lot of animal vibes and I thought that it would really suit Koda. It's pure and adorable like himself

Rikido Satou - Be Our Guest (Beauty and The Beast), as a character, we don't know much about him other than the fact that he likes to bake and might be a little self conscious considering that he wasn't expecting to be the winner of the best dorm room competition (And for all the girls to unanimously agree). This was the only song that I felt like would suit him.

Mezo Shouji - Immortals (Big Hero 6), I just picture Shouji going over a training montage with this theme. Other than that, it's a cool song for a cool (and moral) guy with a cool quirk. He is definitely one of my Best Bois but it sucks to see how underrated he is.

Kyoka Jirou - Real Gone (Cars), in all honesty, Jirou is my least favourite character in all of BNHA (I like Mineta more than her and that's saying something) so she was the hardest one for me to decide on a song. But after listening to this song, I just felt the punk rock vibes that definitely go with Jirou so this was my option.

Hanta Sero - Try Everything (Zootopia), ever since the Sports Festival, I always notice how other characters are trying their hardest to improve and Sero is one of those people. He's not just some comedic relief character and I feel like his moment to shine will come soon. This song just really suits his nature in my opinion.

Shoto Todoroki - Out There (Hunchback Of Notre Dame), after realising that it was his quirk, Shoto has been showing his attempts to socialise and trying to use his left side for himself and we've all been there at some point in our lives. What can we do other than relate to him? Love him. Just love this pure and socially awkward boi. He deserves more appreciation for that.

Tooru Hagakure - When Will My Life Begin, Reprise (Tangled), she's so upbeat and bubbly and the joy in this song expresses so much of her lively personality as she works to become a hero (another one of my favourite Best Girls)

Katsuki Bakugou - You Can't Take Me (Spirit, Stallion Of The Cimarron), Bruh, this motherfucker is a stubborn mule when it comes to cooperation. They couldn't chain him down at the Sports Festival so what made the League think that they could change his morals by kidnapping him? Bakugou's a real softie at heart and he loves his class and squad very much, he's just to prideful to show it

Izuku Midoriya - Zero To Hero (Hercules), it's in the title. After meeting All Might, this boy has done nothing but improve at a steady and realistic pace. Who wouldn't be proud of him and his driven goals?

Minoru Mineta - One Little Slip (Chicken Little), trust me, I don't like Mineta as much as the next person but if Horikoshi actually put some effort into his character, he'd be a decent guy. So this song was the one to pop in my mind for some on who's *shudders* trying to be cool...

Momo Yaoyorozu - I Am Moana (Moana), like this moment in the movie, Momo was able to find the confidence to push her to pass the final exam for her and Todoroki. She's so sweet and pure and we must all protect her. (My final Best Girl)

Shouta Aizawa - One Last Hope (Hercules), this man really loves his kids deep down but man, has he pushed them to their limits. He's definitely the best teacher a school could have cause he's so unbiased and takes no shit from his kids, that moment when he immediately jumped to fight at the USJ was what made the whole fandom unanimously love him

All Might - You're Welcome (Moana), this man... This secret father... I love him. I can just see him bursting into singing this song specifically whenever he's being interviewed and asked about his quirk which gets the press off his back for the moment. Best Dad. 11/10

Hitoshi Shinsou - Jack's Lament (The Nightmare Before Christmas), this poor boy deserves more love than he gets. His quirk is so cool and he is a great, compelling character cause he's the pure representation of all of us longing for our goals even after people put us down (sit down, Midoriya, you're in the Hero Course). Kaminari is right, he will be a great hero someday.
