Hi!! I’m a new pentagon fan and I was wondering if you could help me out tell me what sugaman the programme is?? I researched it and tried to get a grasp of what it is but I’m still a bit puzzled 😭 But!! Did you see that pentagon won against Heize?? Wooseok’s expression was sooo cute out of them all, I’m so sad :(( 💖💖

basically, every episode there are guests and a sugarman. teams are separated into two groups, led either by yoo jaesuk or yoo heeyeol. each team is responsible for finding what they call a sugarman, which is a famous star/group from the past that has now since dwindled down in popularity or faded off into obscurity. the guests they invite per team will then recreate one of the sugarman’s most iconic songs and produce a stage off of that. the audience who are separated into age ranges from those in their 10s-40s will then vote for which performance they liked the most. It’s a program that combines nostalgic hit classics from previous generations with the trendy remixing styles and performances of this generation. pentagon was on team jaesuk and their sugarman was taesaja which was a boyband formed back in 1997. one of their most popular songs was “도” and that’s the performance that pentagon recreated and won with.
