I know you're more familiar with live action DC comics stuff, but has anything/anyone from The DC Animated Universe ever caught your eye? I'm currently on a binge of all those sweet sweet early 2000s cartoons and I'm picking up husbands left and right ❤️

There's certainly an array to choose from, especially among Batman/Superman/Justice League villains, but I feel like you would like a lot of the Teen Titans villains. Especially The Amazing Mumbo or Mad Mod.

oooh i'd love to know which cartoons from The DC Animated Universe you're bingeing!!! 🥰💖 the answer is yes, although they're less than obscure - i was quite the fan of The Riddler in Batman: The Animated Series, and The Joker in both B:TAS and The Batman (2004-2008). this really is no surprise though - i'm always down bad for these two no matter what adaptation they're in 🙈💖 but i wanna know about the lesser-known baddies 👀

you really sat back and watched my simping for Austin Powers and thought, ah, you know who'd be a great candidate? 🙈🙈🙈 my God, this man has such style!!!! the look, the cane, the moves, the voice...not to mention how sick his gadgetry is, wow wow wow 💖🥴 i've only seen a little snippet of him from Teen Titans but holy shit i love him. he seems insane in a very specific way - i'm down so bad for reality-bending characters, and the fact that he's smart enough to do so purely with tech and no magical or superhuman abilities is incredible!!! not to mention he's got that sneering, pompous, self-aggrandising intellectualism i'm such a sucker for. god damn it Iriso you can't keep doing this 😂💖💖💖 also, that voice!!! Mad Mod's VA, Malcom McDowell is Alex deLarge from A Clockwork Orange!!! genius casting right there 🙈💖 i don't know how silly it is to be British myself and find such joy in these ultra-pigeonholed stereotypes of Britishness, but like. he's smart and styling and evil. i'd gladly be his duckie 😉💖

For the poly Mad Mod + Mumbo route, this is how Mumbo first meets Lyric. She was the perfect hostage, until she started demanding a cut of the profits for the part she played. Lyric's from Gotham. She doesn't actually care too much about 'good and evil' so long as it's nothing especially heinous. One bank robbery isn't going to faze her. All she wanted was to hang out with her friend Mod today, not get pulled into your scheme. Unless you want her to dime on you to the cops, you're going to cut her a paycheck!

At the very least, he appreciates the guts. It isn't until he finds out she's a friend of Mod's that he becomes much more accommodating and is willing to get her to the meeting spot personally.

An idea for when Mumbo comes back to hermitcraft!

They throw a big party on the server and everyone who is attending has a mumbo mustache on BUT no one can mention it. Like everyone is wearing it but never mention or talk about the staches that they're wearing and just keep going in with the party.

A Different Kind of Magic (2/?)

(The Amazing Mumbo and Mad Mod experience a different kind of magic in each other’s abilities… or maybe there’s another magic going on~) --- Mumbo let out a long sigh as he sat in his cell and stared blankly at nothing. Cold, dull, grey, relatively empty inside… his surroundings weren’t that different from himself, he thought. Without his magic, he was nothing. Sure, he was sane this way, but now he was just… Mitchell. Old, boring, no purpose in life, never amount to anything, black sheep second child Mitchell.

Also in jail Mitchell. Though he supposed that was for the best. Mumbo was a menace, after all. Whether or not that was his fault was another story. Another sigh transitioned to a yelp as his cell door was opened by a guard. “Jenson, you’re free to go.” “Wh- Is- Is this a joke?” the older man inquired, quite befuddled. Rather than answer, the guard grabbed him by the arm and took him to retrieve his belongings before being unceremoniously tossed out the door. “Wait! I don’t have a ride home!” Mitchell shouted back at the door. “Yes, you do,” a familiar Cockney accent informed. “Gah!” the middle aged man practically flew back, hand to his chest. “Blimey, you’re skittish,” Mad Mod huffed out a slight laugh as he twirled his cane, shaking his head. “You,” he ceased twirling to point his cane at the former Mumbo, “kept me waiting.” “Those guys threw me out like a Frisbee! How did I keep you waiting?! Wait.” he narrowed his eyes. “Why were you waiting? Wait…” His eyes widened as he exclaimed, “WHY AREN’T YOU IN JAIL?!?!” Mod blinked, looking unimpressed before his lips split into a crooked toothed smirk. “Good behavior… and a bit of cash,” he shrugged. “Now,” he grabbed the other man’s wrist and yanked him to be walking beside him, “you are coming with me.” Mitchell stumbled a bit, but managed to right himself and follow the strange Brit. “Why though?” “Why, to be my new project~” Mod grinned. “Project?” Mitchell stopped walking, unsure if he’d prefer this to jail. “Up-bup-bup!” A few taps from Mod’s cane against his back got the magician moving again. “What project?” The red haired villain simply grinned and opened his car’s passenger door, gesturing for the other to get in. “I may as well,” Mitchell sighed and entered the car to go who knows where… “That’s the spirit!” Mod laughed and got in the driver’s side, buckling up and starting his car.
