I’ve now developed a new hyper-fixation and fallen down the hole of the helluva boss series. I’ve really grown to like this series, it’s funny but can also deliver on dark themes and drama and I can’t wait for the rest of season two to come out. And of course my first fan art for this series had to be of one of my favourite characters, Prince Stolas. Along with Blitz, Fizzarolli, Asmodeus, Moxxie and Millie and Sally May, Stolas is one of my favourite characters in the show, I’ve really gotten invested in his storyline and I’m curious to see what will happen next. This piece was actually inspired by an art nouveau poster by Henri Privat-Livemont that I bought the other day and the moment I saw it I thought ‘oh my god, that would so work for Stolas’, so here we are 😄 I’ll hopefully be doing more art soon if I can fit it in around my work schedule.

I have been looking for information about the Goetic Prince Stolas and all I can find is information of the character from Helluva Boss.

I recently started watching that show and I love it. Stolas is a very sensitive character.

BUT he is not the Stolas I seek information on.

It seems like damn near anything concerning Prince Stolas that is NOT about the Helluva Boss character has been taken down. His wiki has disappeared.

There's only one site that I can find that can help me - but I have to become a member. Not sure I want to do that yet.

Are there any Demonolators out there who could possible help me out?

With the "new" episode introducing Bee(lzebub) as Vortex' girlfriend, there seems to be a trend among the top dogs of Hell (no pun intended) of being rather chill and down-to-earth individuals who ultimately don't really care about the etiquette that comes with their status (for the most part, at least). I mean, in a way, it's quite logical. After all, they preside over earthly desires. But it's quite amusing when compared to the elite that sits right under them in the infernal hierarchy. Those like Paimon or Stella, who always appear hellbent (once again, no pun intended) on reminding everyone around them of their own nobility. Like, remember when Stella was berating Stolas for thinking about fucking an imp in a motel ? Maybe you should revise your standards, honey (no. pun. intended !).

(Also, the sigil that appears on the title card and during the musical number seems to confirm that, in the HB universe, Bael - the demon king mentioned in the Ars Goetia - and Beelzebub - the patron demon of Gluttony - are indeed one and the same. Which isn't that surprising, considering the intertwined origins of the two figures. In fact, were they to appear in the show, I was myself contemplating the possibility for those two to have some form of connection, although my personal guess would have been for Bael to be the nasty patriarch of the Goetia family, and for Beelzebub to be his impossibly powerful daughter who rose even higher than him... Still, the show's decision to conflate the two is pretty hilarious when one remember what Bael is said to look like in the book. XD )

My take on a Goetia OC for Helluva Boss - King Purson, and his viper tail, Ketele. The older half-brother of Stolas with mastery over lost riches, hidden things and of prophecy. He became a King of the Ars Goetia after eating his father, Paimon due to becoming sick of his ‘parenting’ and usurping his position. Regards Stolas with mostly casual disdain but admits to respecting his raising of Octavia, whom he rather dotes on - especially considering whatever influence Stella could have, whom Purson regards as an uppity harpy. Though he finds Stolas to be a ‘cowardly, effete fop’, he is still a Goetia by blood and finds Stella’s abuse an affront to the family honour but restrains himself from having her dealt with for his neice’s sake. Honestly couldn’t care less about Stolas’ affair with a common imp, as 1) it infuriates Stella and 2) he finds Stolas’ brazenness to be emblematic of what a Goetia should be: to be indulgent in what they want, when they want it.

Important facts: lafargo has used locks of hair, fur, and feathers 🪶 of all three entities plus himself in order to magically conceive the 3 princes so he’d have a few descendants who would rule over the ars goetia for him while he goes back and forth between earth and hell

all three of which were raised by both ipos and sometimes stolas as they’ve agreed to share guardianship of the boys(although they really shouldn’t be calling cider a boy however they are still in the closet about being nonbinary so unfortunately they don’t know that)but those two have no idea that lafargo was the one who created them as well

also in this au in particular Stella began to see Valentino after the divorce and after she got up and left although they did accidentally have a kid it’s not that she stayed mad about it for long thus Stella straight up got attached to the new baby even more so than she ever did Octavia and actually has a distant relationship with Val of all people
