absolutely wildest part of my job on an emotional level has to be making forms. it feels wrong. forms are important. someone else should be making this, who knows things about form law. these should be special ordered from a company that does nothing but make forms with the help of their legal team that does nothing but confirm that the forms are correct. every time i throw a form together in word and it becomes our new official form, it feels deeply wrong somehow. this is too much power.

#original #my method of making forms involves abusing the shit out of tables #because when you do it that way then later you can bulk fill them with mail merge and no one is the wiser #you wouldn't think this would come up so often #however we have a number of forms that i have realized someone just made on a typewriter in the 80s #that have been xeroxed to hell and back so that all our forms were fucking deep fried #i assumed it was because the hospital was set in their ways but no they also hate those forms #who made this and why did they use legal size paper forcing everyone for forty years to use legal size paper #anyway one thing i've realized since making forms is that absolutely no one fixes the document title for their PDFs #government forms straight from the IRS with Microsoft Word in the document title property

it is incredibly hard not to grab the wedding rings from the skeletons (both the true love's embrace/caress pair & the worn gold rings that used to have a date on them) & have galecassia equip them. the only thing that's stopping me is that they give no advantage of any sort (warding bond Does Not Help at ALL) so i'm currently making gale carry them around "secretly" like he just slipped them into his pocket while she wasn't looking.

my hc is that when they found either pair, gale watched her eyes linger on the skeletons' eyeless sockets & ever-grinning teeth with an expression of grief & longing & something else he didn't have the words for. he picked the rings up after cassia left them to rest, suddenly reminded of what the dawnmaster said in his final letter. in death, there is new life. these rings are not remnants of love, but rather a love born anew. the rings are representative of finding love in the midst of the shadow-cursed lands, finding hope where there seems to be nothing but despair. like the land around us is rotting & twisted but i can't imagine any place that could turn my heart from you, cursed or otherwise. time is short. i'm in love with you.
