David Tennant at the Emerald City Comic Con 3.3.2023:
Interviewer: Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship spans through centuries.
David: Yes.
Interviewer: So in that you play a lot of different Crowleys.
David: Yes.
Interviewer: Which one was your favourite to play?
David: Oooh. That's a good question. We had a great deal of fun coming up with the looks, obviously, because Crowley is always a sort of punk version of wherever he ends up. He likes to live very much at the sort of cutting edge of the moment in history that he's living through. Unlike Aziraphale, who just kind of bumbles on sort of wearing the same gear. Crowley likes to kind of jazz with the looks of the moment he's in. So was great fun to create them. Which was my favourite... probably I quite liked the Elizabethan look in the Shakespeare... where it was filmed in the Globe in the Shakespeare scene, with his little tiny spindly little beard. The armor was pretty exciting as well. Getting to wear a full suit of armor - incredibly uncomfortable. I mean... I defy anyone to fight a war in that stuff, really difficult. But it did feel very safe.
Interview: Was it pretty hot?
David: No, we were filming in the middle of a field in November. It was freezing cold. And metal conducts the cold quite well, it turns out. So don't fight a war andd especially not it winter. (x)

I noticed in Radiant Dawn that a lot of the enemy bosses recognize that whoever the tactician is against the Begnion Empire is shrewd and cunning, but either no one knows it's Soren or no one thinks to attack him. Anyway, I'm just saying. It'd be fun if he did get targeted. Getting rid of him would solve a lot of problems.

Okay! Well since I've been doing it for the others, let's explain Ceruledge and why he's in Spain.
Well his design is probably inspired by Morien, the Black Knight of Arthurian legend. Morien got his name because he was Moorish.
Tumblr media
The Moors ruled parts of Andalucia (south Spain) for about 800 years. So he's based off the previous gen being England and still has ties to the current gen. Also Spain is know for Toledo Steel, which is one of the strongest steels in the world & was popular with swordsmiths.
Sir Morien was often described as a heroic and noble knight, so why a vengeful ghost? Well in other Arthurian legends the "Black Knight" (Not Sir Morien specifically) is a common supernatural adversary on the various quests of the knights of the round table.
Next up Armarouge!
Well let's start off with the "MegaMan Canon" everyone has pointed out. Spain invented the gun. So...there's that. 😬

On a happier note! The most notable and well-known medieval Spanish knight was Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, more popularly known as El Cid.
El Cid was from the kingdom of Castile, who's colors were crimson and gold. He reclaimed the Taifa of Valencia from Moorish control and ruled the principality till his death. Which makes him a good counter for Ceruledge who's based off a Moorish knight.
To this day he's considered in Spain as an ideal noble knight. Being strong, valiant, loyal, just, and pious.
So why a psychic type? I think Wikipedia actually does an excellent job of explaining it:

Ciri defeating Cahir on Thanedd
Sorry, but I'm pretty confused by how many people on different social media (tumblr, reddit, instagram) say that Ciri defeated Cahir in a sword fight on Thanedd in the Witcher books. I really don't know where they get that from when you read the passage in Time of Contempt. Or is it a translation thing? In the English version it is obvious that Cahir did not anticipate that Ciri would attack him at all when he tried to grab her. He had not even drawn his sword! He is totally taken by surprise and wounded so quickly that there is never a sword fight between the two. And if there had been, Cahir would have been at a big disadvantage as he was not allowed to kill or hurt Ciri in any way while she would not have had any such inhibitions.
So, the change they made in the Netflix version with Cahir refusing to fight her did not really take the chance away from her to defeat the black knight in a sword duel because there never really was one, right? In the books she was just hacking away at him in blind fury and almost killing him although he was still unarmed ...
And neither did the Netflix version take her decision away whether or not to kill Cahir. She could have done so. It surely made the choice to not kill him a tad easier though, I have to admit, with him looking at her with those puppy eyes and asking her forgiveness. 😂
