what i love about inej convincing nina to join the crows is that she does so by saying that kaz can break matthias out of hellgate. nina is a heartrender. she proves multiple times throughout the show that she can easily tell when people are lying. and she also proves that she has no mercy for people who lie about being able to get matthias out of hellgate (ex. pekka). but she goes with inej to see kaz. why?

because inej wasn’t lying.

inej truly believes that kaz is smart enough to break someone out of the highest security prison in ketterdam, even though he clearly (as of s&b season 2) does not think that he could. we love some good kanej mutual simping.

and if we do get a six of crows spin off…inej, oh honey, just you wait until you see what your man can do.

mary and john grayson are interesting in the peanut gallery of dead parents because unlike pretty much everyone else, they exist exclusively in the before, and rarely the after.

both the graysons and the waynes are plot devices for tragedy, sure, the literal inciting incident to heartbreak, but while the waynes tangibly haunt the story in the manor, in their painted likenesses, in gotham as a whole, the graysons remain largely absent.

jack drake returned from the dead only to die again. sheila haywood smoked over her son’s body. david cain heard his daughter speak and wept.

but who are the flying graysons? aside from phantoms their son thinks of fondly. their ghosts are crucial to literally everything. they must fall, they must hit the ground, and their son must watch. but what happened before? they live in the pocket anecdotes for every passerby who happened to be at the circus that night. they are a poster on the wall. they are the colours worn by children. but they still exist in absentia.

I will never move on from how not only did the Crows steal the tank from the Ice Court, but the entire time Wylan is smiling to himself and then absolutely LOSES IT once they've escaped. Like the crew has just stolen a tank from a high-security prison, narrowly escaping death, but Wylan physically can't stop laughing and is quite literally snorting with laughter at the image of the Fjerdans firing uselessly in the tank's direction with the Fjerdan might banner caught in its treads. He could have died but he's laughing hysterically at how stupid the Fjerdans look as they failed to prevent literal children (who have STOLEN ONE OF THEIR TANKS) from escaping their high-security prison. This has got to be one of my favourite underrated Wylan moments.
