Sketch for a hanahaki fic I’m writing for my friend @witcher-and-his-bard! Geralt’s testing Jaskier with his medallion for any sign of the curse. Featuring some totally platonic hand-holding (’cuz Geralt has to get Jaskier to hold the medallion somehow lol can’t just ask.) Mutal pining morons.

Now that my friend @witcher-and-his-bard has finally gotten her surprise in the mail, I can post the insert illustration for the print edition of The Curse of Kwiatekkaszel! This fic was such a long process from writing to printing, and I am so satisfied with the results!

the curse of k...(i can't spell it and im on mobile so i can't copy and paste 😔)?
The Curse of Kwiatekkaszel, my very late birthday present for @witcher-and-his-bard lol. A hannahaki fic! I'll summarize, but no preview because alex must be the first to read it as is the right of the birthday girl <3
Geralt is called to investigate a strange curse, only to accidentally aggravate it. The town goes into quarantine to prevent the spread of this ancient curse without a cure. With Jaskier infected, Geralt must make the difficult choice of whether to tell the one he loves most that there is no hope, or to give him the softest end he can before the inevitable. And he hasn't even told him how he feels yet.
Mutual pining, mutual morons <3

For the meta asks: 1 or 20?
1. Tell us about your current project(s)  – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?
The Curse of Kwiatekkaszel has quite a few poems in it which I am so completely jazzed about! It has such scope for venturing into multimedia projects if I stare at it too hard. 70% of the way finished.
Buttercup and Briar (The Sleeping Beauty AU) has been great for hands-on crafts. I’ve spun dog hair for research, and I intend to dye the threads with teas and things I find out and about. Researching fiber arts for this one has been just too much fun! 30% complete.
The Alphabet Series was a challenge I made for myself in which I begin each drabble with a certain letter of the alphabet and work my way through all 26 letters. After I go through and edit them all, I’ll be able to do a new book binding project! As you can see, I love to do multi-media projects with my fics. 90% complete.
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
I fucking love fairy tales. I have whole bookshelves (not individual shelves. BOOKCASES) dedicated to my collection. I love to dissect their themes and tropes, which is why many of my stories draw upon fairytale aspects. If you look closely, you may find some references sprinkled throughout! I also study the various illustration styles for the ink illustrations I put in my bound books.
