Sumo is the best and worst sport there is
Tumblr media
Champion Sumo Wrestler Hokutoumi by Kinoshita Daimon, 1985
I've been playing Street Fighter 6 and maining E. Honda, which is a gateway drug to learning about sumo, which is a gateway drug to watching hours of sumo wrestling on this 24 hour sumo rebroadcast twitch stream.
It's a fun spectator sport but it turns out that sumo is like American football but worse, because in addition to getting their skulls smashed together constantly, they also get all kinds of health problems from the stress, injuries, and diet. The average sumo wrestler lives to be 65 and is likely to get diabetes. It's inhumane. And it's backed by hundreds of years of tradition so they can get away with it.
...but, unfortunately, sumo is cool as shit. Here's why:
You lose a match by being forced out of the ring or getting knocked down. You win by being immovable. How do you become immovable?
Tumblr media
By having more mass than your opponent, of course.
Every match starts with both wrestlers rushing together and colliding. All else being equal, the heavier wrestler has an inherent advantage at the start. Strength alone is insufficient; if he doesn't have the mass he'll just bounce off the other guy. If the match isn't decided in the first second, then it becomes a hellish grappling game, as they both try to figure out how to tip over a person who's built like the dog that cannot be tipped over.
So there's this arms race happening behind the scenes as coaches use the power of Dark Nutrition Science to try and make their guys heavier.
Every wrestler is trying to be heavier than average, so the average weight keeps going up. It's been going up since the 60s. Building and sustaining mass, along with doing the accompanying strength training to stay agile, is the challenge that defines a sumo wrestler's career.
This is the real game. The teams (which are called 'stables,' to give you a sense of why there might be a problem here) are competing with each other to win the title of Who Can Put The Most Calories In A Guy.
It's nightmarish, but if I'm being honest, it's also compelling. Like, this is what all pro sports do: relentlessly instrumentalize human beings into honed single-purpose machines. But in sumo the qualities being optimized for are moving fast, hitting hard, and being huge. And it turns out that a person can get really good at all three of those! It's impressive! Inspiring, even! It's just too bad that, you know, it eventually kills them.
Pro sumo is a dangerous, exploitative sport. It probably shouldn't exist. But as long as it does, do yourself a favor: Check out that stream, pull up the wikipedia page on sumo to read along so you can figure out what they're doing, and bear witness to a spectacular and deranged application of human ingenuity and drive.
It does help if you know hiragana so you can read their names. But, cmon, it's 2023. Learn hiragana already. It takes like a couple days on duolingo. The stream chat also has a bot that gives a short bio of any wrestler if you type ![their name]. If channel host sahairah happens to be there, and they often are in the evenings, they will patiently answer questions you have. but don't show up there and ask a ton of dumbass questions, because that would then be my fault.

How about platonic woh with a father figure reader who loves to do dad jokes
Sorry these are kinda short
Platonic Warriors of Hope with a Dorky Dad Reader who Likes to Make Dad Jokes
Masaru Daimon
He thinks your jokes are kinda stupid
But he doesn't wanna say anything, because he's partly afraid of you becoming a repeat of his "real" father
But when you tell him it's perfectly ok to make fun of them, he doesn't hold back
"Hey, Masaru! Why did the football coach go to the bank? To get his quarter back!"
"Ugh, quit it!"
He still loves your dad jokes tho
Especially when he's having a bad day
Jataro Kemuri
He doesn't really get them most of the time
"Hey, Jataro! What has ears but cannot hear? A cornfield!"
"Huh...? Corn can hear...?"
See, he's kinda lost
But he still laughs at them anyway, even if he doesn't understand
Pls protect this sweet boi
Kotoko Utsugi
She pouts every time you tell one of your jokes
"Hey, Kotoko! I used to hate facial hair but then it grew on me!"
"Hmph! You don't have facial hair!"
She really hates your jokes
Which is exactly why you tell them
Nagisa Shingetsu
He absolutely despises your jokes
He thinks they're really stupid
He often shoots your jokes down and acts like a smartass
"Hey, Nagisa! I'm reading an anti-gravity book. I just can't put it down!"
"There is no such thing as anti-gravity, (Name). Not even books."
He never lets you have your fun
Monaca Towa
She laughs at them
Not because they're funny, but because they're stupid
She laughs in a "Wow, you're pathetic" way
"Hey, Monaca! What type of tree fits in your hand? A palm tree!!"
"Hehe... That was the worst one I've heard from you!"
This girl is absolutely brutal
The disappointed look on your face makes her laugh even harder

For the whole history of DAIMON HELLSTROM, please click here.
← ONCE THERE WAS AN IDEA TO BRING TOGETHER →
Ruling hell is a good gig. Daimon has the power and authority that he’s always wanted along with a healthy dose of respect. He needs to make sure he’s not usurped, of course, but as long as he remains diligent that’s not a problem. Whether or not he can be seen as a “hero” is up in the air, but his work at Strange Academy is noble at the very least. After all the death’s he’s died, it’s good to be living the high life.
←  A GROUP OF REMARKABLE PEOPLE TO SEE IF THEY →
✗ SATANA HELLSTROM (616) was raised very differently from Daimon. The two siblings don’t always have a lot in common outside of their demonic heritage, but both are currently ruling their own versions of hell. As far as sisters go, Daimon could have gotten a worse one. Satana is literally the Devil’s daughter and Daimon the son of Satan. They’re an odd pair but they make it work.
✗ PATRICIA WALKER (616) and Daimon’s marriage ultimately fell apart and the two separated. Her death effectively ended the “till death do us part” clause of their vows, and in the time since they haven’t exactly been friends. He wasn’t thrilled with the autobiography that she published and the two are vastly different people. That doesn’t change the fact that he loved her even though they’re clearly over.
← COULD BECOME SOMETHING MORE  →
✗ STRANGE ACADEMY → Although you wouldn’t expect him to be any good with children, Daimon agreed to teach at Strange Academy. He’s not bad at his job and doesn’t mind helping coach the next generation in magic. They’re going to need competent magic users moving forward, so the least he can do is mold them in his image. It’s a win-win.
✗ OTHER AFFILIATIONS -- hell.
← & IF WE CAN’T SAVE THE WORLD, WE’LL AVENGE IT →
✗ AGE → 30′s ✗ MULTIVERSE ORIGIN → 616 ✗ SPECIES → human / demon hybrid ✗ ETHNICITY → up to player ✗ SECRET IDENTITY → no dual ✗ RELATIONSHIP STATUS → divorced / open ✗ FACECLAIM → eugenio siller ✗ AVAILABILITY → taken
← FUN FACTS →
not known by the public as someone with demonic heritage
confirmed to be bisexual
has made copies of himself

But how are we gonna do the channelling? Ui died content so her spirit most likely would have passed on so we have nothing to channel into Komaru.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your right, from the sounds of it - she seem pretty happy that she was going to die? How would we connect with her...?
Tumblr media
Maybe we have to say a certain word?
Tumblr media
...Maybe her spirit is still connected to this world? Like a last regret type of thing?
Tumblr media
Wait you think so?
Tumblr media
Maybe it could be it!
Tumblr media
Yeah I mean... given how much she seems to despise this Kota guy, I could imagine that while she is content she'll move on; she might not be happy knowing that he's still alive and not suffering any consequences for what he's done.
Tumblr media
Because if what he did what I think he did, then I would want to stick around until the bastard is gone.
Tumblr media
That could work, hey Jataro - can you tell us what your mom liked the most?
Tumblr media
Oh what she like? I... think it be her couch? She usually would fall asleep there when finish work or is tired before going to bed.
Tumblr media
Okay the couch, alright... that be easy.
Tumblr media
*Komaru walks around and lies down on the coach* Okay, I'm ready...
Tumblr media
Very well, Ui Kemuri... if you are still here; can you please speak with us and help us? We are trying to solve a case and about your connection with Kota Hashimoto - the man that hurt you and is likely Jataro's father.
Tumblr media
Ju-Just get it over with...
Tumblr media
I'm... sensing something, I think she is-.
Tumblr media
...?! *suddenly a spirit takes over Komaru and then...*
Tumblr media
Who...Who is there? I heard that bastards name, what do you neeeed?!
Tumblr media
O-Oh dear, she's angry!
Tumblr media
Jataro... seems that son of mine is here too and his mask is gone... I guess he remove it, well at least I don't need to see his face anymore and I sense others are here too.
Tumblr media
Yes, sorry for disrupting your sleeping - Ui, we are here to investigate and need some help with a few things, if you can help us that be great.
Tumblr media
Help? Ah... I guess your here for what happen to me, correct? Very well, I'll tell you all I know...
Tumblr media
I think she seems a lot more willing to help which I guess that makes sense...
Tumblr media
Yeah and not as angry either unlike Mr. Daimon, thankfully.

Written for the magical beginner just as much as the long-term practitioner, INGENIUM: the Alchemy of the Magical Mind, is Frater Acher’s most radical book yet. A beautiful book that is both a work of magic and a work of art with the illustrations of Joseph Uccello, Ingenium reaches through common misconceptions in western magic and shines a light along the path of genuine respect for beings and ways of being. INGENIUM takes the reader on a journey not to find magic, but to become magic.
The book begins with a concise outline of the Western Way of the Adept, using the infamous Four Demon Kings to illustrate what authentic spirit-practice demands. It then moves into a practical exploration of Radical Otherness – a concept that provides a crucial and necessary counterbalance to the psychologization of magic in the West since the times of the Golden Dawn. The third gift within the book proceeds to lay out the essential Inner Tools of Magic within the body of the practitioner. Frater Acher outlines the authentic and highly animistic magic of Paracelsus (Theophrastus von Hohenheim, 1493-1541), and has translated these related practices for the first time to an English-speaking audience. INGENIUM concludes with a highly personal chapter in which Frater Acher recounts how the practice of the preceding chapters has taken shape in his own life, including magical diary entries recounting the period after he first connected with his Holy Daimon.
Frater Acher combines research and practice, authentic source material and heretical independence to outline a lived path of Western Magic that is at once ancient and in need of re-paving with each step.
About the author:
Frater Acher is a lone practitioner of the magical and mystical path. He studied Western Ritual Magic in theory and practice at I.M.B.O.L.C. and has been actively involved in magic for more than twenty years.
n 2009 he started the now hugely popular theomagica.com a website dedicated to magical practice, knowledge and insights. In 2020 he founded Paralibrum together with Frater U∴D∴ He is best known for the Holy Daimon cycle, published in three volumes with Scarlet Imprint between 2018 to 2021, and 'Clavis Goêtica' (Hadean Press 2021) with artistic collaborator José Gabriel Algría Sabogal.
Frater Acher holds an MA in Communications Science, Intercultural Communications and Psychology as well as certifications in Systemic Coaching and Gestalt Therapy. Frater Acher is a German national, and after several years of living abroad, he is now resident in Munich, Germany.

Any good Tenko/tenmiko content in danganronpa s? I played for a while but the game doesn't seem to give me any of their cards and I suck at the battle minigame so I am stuck
Chabashira's scene with Yumeno is their usual high-energy vs low-energy routine. Chabashira is actually respecting boundaries in this one. Yumeno still finds her exhausting but is overall very comfortable with her company. Asahina taught Chabashira how to swim in this game's backstory, but that was on a pool, so Chabashira is still too scared to face the ocean. Her contagious fear gets to Yumeno and they quit. Commentary on Chabashira's other scenes under the cut.
Asahina's scene is about her trying to get Chabashira to stop calling her "Ocean Master" for teaching her how to swim. Chabashira tries other names, not realizing Asahina doesn't want silly names at all, and the joke extends to "it's not aikido, it's neo aikido", to which Asahina responds with "oh, you're kinda like Yumeno" and everyone is happy. Chabashira is still too scared to face the ocean though.
Nidai's scene her objecting to his coaching of Owari and Sakura because a man shouldn't be allowed to instruct a woman. She insists on that even after admitting she sees no flaws in his routine and Nidai's explanation that teaching goes both ways. Just the old tired gag with no meaningful conclusion.
Mioda's scene is the two of them throwing buckets of paint around to make a sign for Mioda's show. The main gag is Chabashira calling this messy work "delicate and refined" because girls are doing it. I don't feel anything about it, despite loving both characters.
Daimon's scene is excellent though. Maybe her best. She tries to catch him for being a terrible brat pestering the girls. During the argument, Chabashira threatens to slap him, and you can imagine the reaction. Chabashira immediately picks up on the signals of trauma, calms him down, and apologizes. That's the Chabashira I love. A caring girl defined by her ability to understand others.
Hiroko's scene is about Chabashira appreciating the feminine grace of an adult woman while trying her hardest not to openly badmouth her male son to her face. Hiroko is very understanding and reassures Chabashira she'll get over her problem with me one day. I like this one as a new perspective on Chabashira's appreciation of women.
Momota and Kuwata's scene is her going to the hot springs during the boys' hours and yelling at the boys for being "peepers sneaking in during girls' hours". The boys insist it's its boys' hours and the punchline is "But Ouma told me about the schedule chan... oh". She apologizes, at least.
Fujisaki and Oowada's scene is Chabashira and Oowada getting to a yell off because that's just their personalities. But Oowada quickly sees how this is affecting Fujisaki and calls him away from her. Fujisaki feels guilty for deceiving Chabashira since gender means so much for her. Chabashira catches up to the two and starts yelling at Oowada for his supposed treatment of Fujisaki but Fujisaki stands up for him and says the two of them will leave her presence. He uses his gendered pronoun when doing so, but Chabashira doesn't catch the obvious hint. It's a complicated bit about how the Japanese language processes gender identity and I have no idea how NISA will translate this one.
Naegi and Impostor's scene is about how, after realizing her master was a man, Chabashira is trying to overcome her issues by teaching Neo-Aikido to men. She chose Impostor for being an understanding gentleman and Naegi for being relatively harmless and easy to toss. The Impostor makes a system where she loses a point every time she says something condescending and she gets an earful from Toujou when she loses 10 points. The old tired gag, but the Impostor's clever strictness makes it work.
Owari and Mukuro's scene is Owari talking with her mouth full and Chabashira interpreting it for Mukuro. Again, I like when Chabashira's ability to understand others is the focus. The conversation continues on the topic of communication, commenting on how diligently Mukuro updates her class logs, and how Junko writes for magazine columns and diligently updates her social media.
In the Junko version of this scene, Junko understands without the need for Chabashira's interpreting. On the contrary, it's Junko who interprets Chabashira's refined way of talking so Owari can understand with her poor vocabulary. The general topic of the conversation is still communication, but it's more centered on the importance of knowing words.
For her Talent's Potential scene, you can choose to challenge another martial artist, decide that your power is to pass judgment on foolish men or decide you're meant to teach other girls. Option 1 has her challenge Sakura to a fight. Neo-Aikido's purpose is contributing to world peace, not becoming the strongest, but Sakura is a dream opponent to any martial artist. Option 2 has Ishimaru lecture her on how people can't choose their birth and should be judged only for their choices. Chabashira agrees that men can fix themselves to tolerable levels by mastering Neo-Aikido and invites Ishimaru to be the first because he's a role model. Option 3 has her convincing Peko to teach self-defense lessons (Peko armed and Chabashira unarmed).
For her Summer Festival scene, she's on the restaurant's hall staff. You can choose to greet Sonia, Utsugi, or Kuwata. Sonia's scene is a basic gush about how she feels like a princess' knight. Utsugi's scene is Chabashira worrying about the young girl walking alone this late and Utsugi mocking her for her paranoia. Kuwata's scene is her calling him out for coming to see Maizono and the fight escalating until Maizono has to leave the kitchen to intervene.
For her Campfire scene, you can choose to talk to Yumeno, Impostor, or Hiroko. Yumeno's scene has her reminiscing on all the trouble Chabashira caused in their 3 years together and how her excessive energy changed Yumeno. Yumeno is very glad to have been in Chabashira's class. The Impostor's scene has them talking about the progress in making Chabashira talk less aggressively with men, thanks to Toujou's sermons. Hiroko's scene is more gushing about how Chabashira wants to be a great adult like her.
Overall, I think Hachimura's take on Chabashira is obviously less nuanced due to the format (although I'd appreciate an Angie scene to cover that) and she overuses the degenerate gag, but it's not all too terrible. The Daimon scene and Yumeno's version of the campfire scene are both wonderful takes on Chabashira.

Before Chiaki and Hajime came out here, they did speak to others in Hope’s Peak and among them was your pen pal Aiko, Damion. She was absolutely DEVASTATED to hear about your disappearance, heck the only reason we knew you were missing was because she was the one who reported you as such.

My mom, huh? Well, she’s an artist from America who got to come here for an exhibit.

She actually got me into a lot of Western stuff, especially comic books. I loved reading about heroes and watching stuff like super sentai growing up. Mom even showed me how to draw too.

My Dad...he was an engineer, and when they got together, she decided to move here. We had a pretty stable life at first...then Dad lost his job. Somebody was stealing money from the company and he got fired over it. After that, he just...
Tumblr media
He and Mom wouldn’t stop arguing. I came home from school just to hear them arguing all the damn time...
Tumblr media
…Then he hit her. So she decided to leave.
Tumblr media
She...She didn’t take you with her?
Tumblr media
No. She just packed up her stuff and left without another word. Dad gave up at that point and started drinking. He always yelled at me or told me to go buy liquor when he didn’t feel like going. Obviously, I couldn’t, but he still tried to make me.
Tumblr media
I’m sorry.
Tumblr media
*He laughs bitterly* You know what’s funny? The worst thing that ever happened...it was my own fault.
Tumblr media
Don’t say that.
Tumblr media
No, it was, just listen.
Tumblr media
One of my favorite comic books is Green Arrow. Before mom left, I wanted to try archery out for myself. Afterward, Dad hated it, so I always had to go out to the park and practice. One day, when I got to come early for the holidays, I decided to practice a little longer that day.
Tumblr media
And when I got home...he was standing at the door. After he threw me on the floor and finished lecturing me, he threw my bow and arrows into the fireplace.
Tumblr media
That’s when I let him have it. I told him how much of a shitty person he is...and I finished it with “Maybe if you weren’t so full of yourself then Mom wouldn’t have left you!”
Tumblr media
That’s when he started coming closer to me, laughing...it freaked me out. So...without even thinking, I grabbed one of the broken arrows out of the fire and stabbed him in the foot.
Tumblr media
Oh...
Tumblr media
After that...he returned the favor. He stabbed me through the hand with that same arrow. I don’t remember much about that night, just waking up in the hospital the next day. But...still.
*He holds up his hand, showing the large scar along the back*
Tumblr media
I’m so sorry, Miraz-san...
Tumblr media
After all that, I wanted to escape. I wanted to leave.  And...And part of me was sure Hope’s Peak would be my answer.
Tumblr media
I mean, imagine if I got in as the Ultimate Archer. I could finally start living on my own, with my own place, my own career, everything. My coach...he was the one who really encouraged me to keep practicing, to get better at it.
Tumblr media
And...you can’t imagine how happy I was to meet someone who was going there.
Tumblr media
You mean Umesawa-san? Sounds like you and her are good friends.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
The two of them really gave me the motivation I needed...but then I saw all this...
Tumblr media
Saw Hope’s Peak for what it really was...a corrupt, awful place that was protecting child abusers...I saw what happened to Daimon-kun months ago...
Tumblr media
After that, I just kinda gave up. I didn’t have anyplace else I could go. I couldn’t drag Coach or Umesawa-san into this, and staying home was a nightmare...I had no place to go but here.

Cross Game: Musings on Relationships Part 1
Some positive reception on my recent Cross Game posts encourages me to go ahead and post this long-overdue piece. Planned to write about the dynamics between Kou, Aoba, Akane, Azuma, and Akaishi—especially Akane’s role in developing the last stretch of Kou and Aoba’s relationship and for them to finally take that step forward from their grief—but I couldn’t do that without touching a bit on Mizuki, could I? So, here’s Part 1. (Part 2 will be coming after I finish rewatching the rest of the episodes).
If I talk about Cross Game, I would probably say my favorite part is the first half, because it’s only filled with fun baseball games with a dash of Kou x Aoba here and there, still rife with their grief over the loss of Wakaba, and also the fight against the stupid Coach Daimon and his half-assed first-string team that always make me laugh somehow. Daimon is that over-the-top proud villain who’s so confident in his abilities that he doesn’t even care to look at anyone else. It’s fun, it’s light, and I love it. I can watch the first 18-20 episodes over and over and over and never be bored. Because after that, the drama starts. Don’t get me wrong. I love good drama. But you can’t deny that drama always drains you in some way—a good way, or bad way. Cross Game drains me in a good way, but that’s precisely why once I hit episode 30, there’s no going back, and I can probably binge the last 20 episodes in a day (which I’m refraining myself from doing because I want to immerse myself in the beauty of relationship and human connection that is in the second half of the series).
Once the episode moves from 19 to 20 and the new school year begin, we are immediately introduced to a new love interest, Mizuki Asami, Aoba’s cousin who is the same age as her, having moved back to Japan after living with his mountain-climbing father abroad. The next 10 episodes are still good and fun. Mizuki is a good-natured kid who has a huge crush on Aoba and everyone knows it. This is where we start seeing more development on the dynamics between Aoba and Kou. We have seen several times before that Kou seems to be conscious of Aoba not just as his neighbor, childhood friend, or the younger sister of his dead best/girlfriend, but as a girl. The teasing, the one-second-too-long stares, the unconscious effort to be near her—we (and everyone else) see it, he doesn’t quite realize it (yet). Aoba, on the other hand, still fights with Kou over the smallest, most insignificant things. But we also start to see a shift in her perception of Kou. She admits that Kou is a good pitcher, she defends him when other people badmouth him, and she starts to cheer for him (without his knowing, of course). Most important of all is the way her face would burn whenever he stands too close. Then, in the middle of all that, comes Mizuki Asami, who shakes the status quo, and Kou realizes, for the first time, that Aoba might actually become someone’s girlfriend.
We saw the first instance of this when Aoba went on a date prior to the new arc. The “date” actually consisted of her going out with some boys who’d asked her out to the amusement park. “The more the merrier,” as Aoba said it. Not anything serious. She only wanted to shut them up because they wouldn’t stop approaching her no matter how many times she said no. When Kou found out, we saw the first small crack in his usually composed poker face. Kou being Kou brushed it away like nothing. He’s not the most honest person in the world, as his friends often noted, especially to himself. Though, personally I think he is more honest than Aoba. I think he's more in tune with his feelings, but he opts not to show them. So he lies—or, well, downplays his emotions—and changes the topic.
The guys Kou was used to deal with were just the kids at school whom he probably knew would never go out with Aoba for real. But then comes this cousin who’s known Aoba for years and is now currently living with her. Kou is rattled. He tries not to show it, but people close to him can see that his mind is elsewhere whenever Mizuki’s name is mentioned or if the guy appears at practice. He takes off the drawing of Mizuki and Aoba from an announcement board and throws it into the trash. He’d look at Aoba every time he sees her talking to Mizuki. But Kou stays silent, and he keeps watching over her from a distance, always knowing full well when he is needed and when he should leave her alone.
On the other hand, Aoba never thought of Mizuki as a love interest. She took his confession in stride and thought he was joking, even after Mizuki said that he was serious. We know that she cares about Kou in ways she would never admit. Part of it is due to the death of her sister, which still hung heavily between them even after six years. Part of it is due to memories of her sister, which is rife with mentions of Kou—how Wakaba’s dream was to become a bride, how she’d made a list of presents ending with an engagement ring on their 20th birthday, how she stated “don’t take him away from me” if Kou managed to pitch 160 kmph and become the best pitcher in Japan. Both Kou and Aoba loved Wakaba very much, to the point that Aoba hated him for monopolizing her. And that’s precisely why she could never truly move on from that hatred. Their time had stopped the moment Wakaba drowned. Neither of them could ever admit this underlying attraction they feel toward each other. Both are more than content with the state of their current relationship—not exactly friends, and not exactly enemies. Just a constant presence in their lives. And that’s where Akane comes in, to finally give them a sense of closure and the push they needed to overcome their grief.

Ultimate Talent Development Plan: Akane Owari/Masaru Daimon
Requested by u/gredman9 and u/PeperToni on Reddit
Tumblr media
Ugh! It’s not fair! You’re bigger and stronger than me!
Tumblr media
That’s not what you were saying earlier. In fact, weren't you pretty adamant to fight me?
Tumblr media
If anything, I’m going easy on you kid! Which is something I never do!
Tumblr media
Grrrr….
Why though? You’d better not say “because you’re just a kid!”
Tumblr media
Because I won’t accept that answer!
Tumblr media
It’s not JUST because you’re a kid...or wait, that’s not really the reason at all...
Tumblr media
You just...kind of remind me of my family...
Tumblr media
Your family?
Tumblr media
Yeah, like, one of my brothers or sisters...Though I have like, 7 or 8 of them so I’m not sure which one...
Tumblr media
Hm...ok?
Tumblr media
Anyway, you’re done for the day. Ok? I’ll rematch you sometime later if you want.
Tumblr media
Yeah!
Tumblr media
Anyway, you feeling pain anywhere Murusa? If you’re aching, I can prolly take ya to Mikan?
Tumblr media
First of all, my name’s Masaru, not Murusa! If we’re gonna train together, then at least learn my name!
Tumblr media
And secondly, I’m totally fine! Sorry about that!
Tumblr media
How come you’re apologising?
Tumblr media
Because I can’t hold my own against you. I feel like I’ve disappointed you or something.
Tumblr media
You ain’t disappointing. You may be small, but I had fun fighting you!
Tumblr media
You know when I said you were done for the day...That’s something my own coach tells me whenever we spar.
Tumblr media
Your own coach?
Tumblr media
Yeah, coach Nekomaru. He’s a guy from my class.
Tumblr media
Whenever he tells me “I’m done” he doesn’t mean I’m exhausted or anything. He can easily tell when I’ve lost the will to keep fighting.
The way you were acting...It just made me think of that...
Tumblr media
Hey! I’ve got plenty of willpower!
Tumblr media
Then how come it don’t seem like it? Weren’t you just saying you couldn’t beat me?
Tumblr media
I...uh...
Tumblr media
Coach Nekomaru always tells me that if I don’t think I can win, then I prolly won’t.
Tumblr media
But at the same time, you should never underestimate your opponent. There’s a lot of strong dude’s in this world. When fighting them, mistakes can be fatal.
Tumblr media
But I’m not even a real Ultimate. How can I be strong without the required talent?
Tumblr media
Well, don’t you kids have some kind of talent at least? What’s yours called Mahiru?
Tumblr media
MASARU!
Tumblr media
Right! Right! Sorry...You both have red hair, so I got confused...
Tumblr media
Who are you even talking about?
Anyway, my talent is Lil’ Ultimate PE. I’m athletic, but how can I ever hope to beat you?
Tumblr media
That doesn’t matter! I’m officially registered as the Ultimate Gymnast, but I don’t really care about all that.
Tumblr media
If you’re so certain you’re gonna lose, then not give it another try!? Come on, one more round!
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
Well...I guess I don’t mind! If you’re willing to give me another chance...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
Aw man...I guess I went a little too hard on him...I knocked him out...
Tumblr media
Although...he DID make me fight stronger than the last time...
Tumblr media
Hehehe...if he can do that, this kids got a bright future...
Tumblr media
Eeerrghhh….My head...
Tumblr media
Come on kid. I’ll take ya to Mikan...
Tumblr media
Thank you...
