FLUXES [Celestis: Engineered Participants / Technologies] Example: "DOCTOR, The"
[Image description, courtesy of @quailfence: a series of pictures of text, alternated with screencaps and gifs from Doctor Who.
1: Text: Fluxes: [Celestis: Engineered Participants/Technology] Individuals transposed backwards in time but not too far in space, using a very high chaotic limiter setting and tied to their home period by a thread of biodata
2: The Eleventh Doctor stands in the future corpse of his TARDIS, looking and a pulsing stream of light that has replaced the console. He says, "That is the scar tissue of my journey through the universe. My path through time and space."
3: Text: He raised a finger. 'Look. There.
Now she could just make out the thread in the moonlight. It was just a faint reflection, maybe a foot or two long, about a metre off the ground. A taut strand of spiderweb hanging in the air, not attached to anything.
'What is it?' Fitz asked.
'It's only partially rotated into three dimensions,' he said. He pushed his finger right through the glimmering line, without affecting it. 'That's why it looks one- or two-dimensional. The rest is still perpendicular to what we can see - woven into higher space, or the time vortex…'
'Yes,' said Fitz, 'but what is it?' 'It's what your friend mistook for a ley line.' The Doctor was scuttling around the silver thread, peering at it from every angle, getting more and more agitated. 'It's part of the fabric of space-time itself. What DNA is to your genetic code, this stuff is to biodata. And it's all just exposed here now. Personality, history, memory, perception, all vulnerable…'
'I'm going to have to ask you again, aren't I?' said Fitz.
The Doctor said, 'It's me.'
4: The Fourteenth and Fifteenth doctors in the TARDIS. 14: "But you're fine?" 15: "I'm fine, because you fixed yourself. We're Time Lords, we're doing rehab out of order."
5: Text: The subject is turned loose in his or her own history, and the limiter setting allows tiny actions taken by the future version to have considerable effects on the past version. The biodata link then transfers these changes to the future version, which alters it, and thus alters the changes made to the past version. Therefore, the individual's history is kept constantly in flux.
6: The Fugitive Doctor says, "Let me take it from the top: Hello, I'm the Doctor."
7: Text: Let me finish. Think back to that time when you went to see your previous selves.
8: Ten, Eleven, and War talk to each other. Ten: "You're not actually suggesting that we change our own personal history?" Eleven: "We change history all the time. I'm suggesting far worse."
9: Text: 'Maybe there's no one home on Gallifrey,' said the boy softly. There was just the one of him.
The Doctor looked at him, cupping the small white cube in his hands. The boy said, Maybe they all left. Or maybe the whole planet's being destroyed, and undestroyed, and destroyed, and you just caught them at the wrong moment.
10: The TARDIS by the ruins of Gallifrey
11: Text: 'It's impossible,' said the Doctor. 'It's impossible for my people. Our past is unreachable. What's written can't be unwritten.'
'Who said your history can't change?'
Another boy answered, 'Someone from his history.'
And another: 'Maybe it's the second-biggest lie in Time Lord history.'
12: Dhawan!Master tells Thirteen, "You are the Timeless Child."
13: Thitreen stares at a ruined house. Swarm whispers in her ear and tells her, "All the memories you've lost, all the people you've been. It's all in there, contained within that house."
14: Text: And it was like the Doctor's home. As if his ship understood the loss of the House and had compensated to fill the emptiness. Shadowy corridors, alcoves and stairways, a secret at every turn. Like being in the Doctor's head. Like his life, for that matter, the details of which were strewn like flotsam across the floor.
15: Text: 'Sweet,' said the little boy. 'That's my favourite of your origin stories, too.'
The Doctor opened his eyes. He had been laughing, he realised, he felt that lightness in himself. The boys had all moved away, behind him, leaving him facing the empty dark of the warehouse.
'What do you mean?' he asked. His voice sounded very small.
'Is this the version where they banned all mention of his name, and yours, for consorting with aliens? Or the one where he got every record of himself deleted from the files?'
'Feel free to believe either of them,' snapped the Doctor, 'or both of them, or neither of them. If you're curious about my past, I want there to be as many wrong answers as possible.'
16: The Eighth Doctor tells someone, "I'm half human. On my mother's side."
17: Text: 'Well he's a hybrid, you know that. A Gallifreyan not born of Gallifreyan, the one who unites the two races and brings good old human niceness into their alien society. Aliens need that, y'know.'
'A human hybrid? She saw the contempt in his curling lip. 'Pseudoscientific nonsense. There's no evidence,' he repeated.
'He's allowed to be different. He's got a prophecy and everything.'
18: Lady Me says, "By your own reasoning, why couldn't the Hybrid be half Time Lord, half human?"
19: Text: Someone giggled. 'Let's play pin the tale on the donkey.'
'Maybe you didn't use to have a father.'
'Maybe you're living in the middle of a time war. Maybe there's an Enemy out there -'
The Doctor shouted, 'I'm not listening!'
'- who's rewriting you when you're not looking!'
'Maybe you weren't always half human.'
'But now you've become always half human.' 'Maybe you weren't always a Time Lord.'
But now you've always been a Time Lord.'
'Maybe you originally came from some planet in the forty-ninth century. Fleeing from the Enemy who'd overrun your home -'
'I said I'm not listening! Laa laa laa laa laa -'
'- and you've just been written and rewritten and overwritten, ever since.'
'Pin the tale!'
'How d'you know it's not true?'
'How could you know it's not true?'
The voices crowded in. 'How would you know, huh?'
'How would you know?'
'How would 'How would you 'How 'How would you know? you know? you know? know?'
'Why would I care?' shouted the Doctor.
The boy fell silent.
20: Lady Me asks, "Am I right? Is it true?" Twelve replies, "Does it matter?"
21: Text: However, the one group from the Homeworld which has excelled at flux-engineering is the Celestis.
22: Two asks the Time Lords, "Now then… what about me?"
23: Tecteun tells Thirteen, "Which is ehy we engineered the Fluyx: Shut the universe down and you within it."
24: Text: Even Mictlan itself can be considered a kind of enormous flux, an endlessly-shifting realm so cortosive to the rest of history that its heartland has to be kept on the outer skin of the universe
24: The Fourteenth Doctor tells Donna, "I invoked a supersition, at the edge of the universe, where the walls are thin and everything is possible."
25: The space station from Wild Blue Yonder
26: Text: There are suggestions of a stable middle-ground between the two fates, in which the physical matter of the flux is lost but the meaning of the subject/ victim is retained, a series of memetic connections with no flesh to support it. Yet this entity exists only on a purely theoretical level, relying on the perceptions of others to survive at all.
27: The Twelfth Doctor walks up to the TARDIS console. He says, "Can't wait to hear what I say." Glancing at the viewer, he adds, "I'm noting without an audience."
28: Text: You know what Sam represents. If a tree falls in a forest and no one's there to hear it, does it make a sound? Stop me if I'm getting too abstract here, but if a Time Lord saves the world and nobody witnesses him doing it, does history care? She's your witness. The thing you need to make you whole.
29: The First Doctor looks at the viewer and says, "Incidentally, a Happy Christmas to all of you at home!" End description.]
[Plain text: Fluxes [Celestis: Engineered Participants / Technologies] Example: "Doctor, The". End plain text.]

Okay but am I the only one who thinks the Fugitive Doctor could potentially be between Two and Three? Specifically when the Time Lords are sending Two on all sorts of missions.
Like Raven said it went higher than Two would ever know. That they could make him regenerate. That they could wipe his memory over and over again to an extent that he would have no idea how much blood was on his hands.
I think it's an interesting (read: vaguely horrifying) idea

What if Gallifrey as the Doctor knows it has always been a ruse? Every memory of it, every version we’ve seen them experience on screen, it’s all just been a fabrication via the Matrix or whatever the Division uses.
Explaining the variety of differences when the Doctor visits Gallifrey, the changes in backstory and attitude towards Gallifrey, and the myriad of things that’ve happened to it since New Who’s start in 2005.
Why’d the Time War happen? Simple! The Division wanted to see if it would be enough to cause the Doctor to finally quit doing what the Doctor does best, and it was a chance to use the Doctor to actually fight in a much different battle that is now covered up in the Doctor’s mind as the Time War. (Not to mention it gives the Division and the Time Lords the ability to do whatever they want while the universe at large believes them to be dead).
Did the 8th Doctor fight in it? Did the War Doctor? Sure! Whatever the Doctor’s mind needs in that moment to remember so the illusion isn’t shattered.
It also explains how Gallifrey came back in End of Time and how the Doctor was able to “save it” in Day of the Doctor for it only to end up at the end of the universe in Hell Bent with a Rassilon so radically different and weaker from End of Time.
With that this also means the Master’s vision of Gallifrey has been messed with. How else could you explain one renegade killing all life on the planet by themselves in series 12? Or why they would give him more lives after the events of End of Time?
And of course, there is an actual Gallifrey. A Homeworld, but it’s more in line with the likes of Faction Paradox’s vision of it. A more heinous and Eldritch Gallifrey that the Doctor wouldn’t be able to remember even if they set foot on it because their mind has been so altered that it just wouldn’t comprehend.

All Matrix prophecies predicted that a creature, thought to be crossbred from two warrior races, would stand over the ruins of Gallifrey and unravel the Web of Time, breaking a billion billion hearts to heal its own.
Everyone knows that for prophecies this old the truth is in the eye of the beholder. The Doctor has seen many hybrids in their lives. The Doctor thinks they know the true identity of the Hybrid. But the Doctor isn't on Gallifrey now. And the Doctor doesn't know everything. In fact, he doesn't know the half of the story...
The Master returns to Gallifrey! Clara is back, the long way round! All in time for ancient secrets to be revealed - secrets that will bring forth the destruction of Gallifrey! All paths lead to one thing: the Hybrid!
1.1 The Master of the Citadel
Last time he returned, the Master was a prisoner of War. This time, without Rassilon in sight and a government in shambles, he takes his rightful place as Lord President of the Time Lords... and finally brings prosperity back to his people?
But the CIA knows the Master – this has to be an act, there has to be a plan behind his benevolence... right?
1.2 Silence of the Time Lords
After the loss of the Time War, the Time Lords are back on track to becoming what they once were. But someone is keeping tabs.
The Temporal Powers, once allowed by the Time Lords to share responsibility for the Web of Time, now deem them the greatest danger to the rational universe. An ambassador for the Monan Host has been sent to assess the situation. Some within the Council want to welcome their help – the Master prefers a more deceitful approach.
The Temporal Powers aren't fools, though, and have come prepared to make them confess.
1.3 The Keeper of the Matrix
The Master is determined to find out how Rassilon became as powerful as he was and has enlisted the Keeper of the Record of Time, the Matrix, to do so. He is going past the Cloister Wraths, past the Time War, past the redactions of the CIA – all the way to the very beginning. But will he be able to see past the mists of Time?
Meanwhile, the General has to deal with the Killer Cats' attack on the shobogans.
1.4 Time of the Division
Gallifrey in crisis! The Killer Cats reveal their true plan to take over the Time Lords as Lords of Gallifrey. Who can the General trust? And Clara and Me couldn't have picked a worst time to pay the Capitol a visit at last.
The Master has run into something in the Matrix that's even beyond the reach of the CIA – he has met Division. And Division has met him. Now they're sending their best agent from long ago to politely make him stop digging into their secrets. But once he has his sights set on something, he will stop at nothing to get it.
Pre-order Gallifrey: Hybrid Volume 1 now from nowhere!
(Volume 2 coming soon-ish?)

"Theta Sigma," Analysis
Okay, vague background. Theta Sigma was the name the Doctor used when he attended the Academy on Gallifrey.
Theta and Sigma are both Greek letters and have some pretty intense symbolism in my opinion.
Uppercase theta was often used in Latin funerary inscriptions. Romans would often set up the funerary monument while the person was still alive, but if the person died beforehand, their names would be marked with an uppercase theta. Ennius, an ancient Roman author, is believed to have called Theta a "letter much unluckier than the others."
Sources from different Greek periods have interpreted theta as a sign of death. Classical Athens literally used uppercase theta as an abbreviation for Thanatos, the Greek God of Death. Isidore of Seville interpreted theta as one of the five mystic Greek letters, applied by judges to those who are given the death penalty. It is found on potsherds that ancient Athenians would use when voting on the death penalty.
Theta is also found in many forms of symbolism like many Greek letters, but I am using the above interpretation in my analysis.
Sigma, meanwhile, was held in high importance, appearing in architecture and coins. The word "sigma" is probably derived from the word "sig-jo" or "I hiss." Hissing is typically used by animals as a warning to predators. They hiss when they feel uncomfortable or frightened.
However, I'm sure people are more familiar with sigma in terms of mathematics. Uppercase sigma as the operator for summation, and lowercase as standard deviation of some population or probability distribution. It has also been used as a symbol for a ton of other fields from physics, chemistry, and biology to linguistics, accounting, and macroeconomics (but those meanings are more obscure in my opinion and will therefore be excluded from my analysis).
In any case, whenever I see Theta Sigma written out on audiobook cover (like in The Trial of the Valeyard) or in that stone River carved it into (in The Pandorica Opens), it is always the uppercase form. For that reason:
Theta: an unlucky letter; associated with death; a brand for criminals facing the death penalty
Sigma: hissing (a technique used by animals when frightened to ward off predators); an operator for summation
Considering all of this, it is an interesting name for the Doctor to go by in his youth. If the uppercase Theta was used to symbolize death in Latin funerary inscriptions and was used in Athens to vote on and brand those awaiting execution, the "Theta" part of the name seems to indicate that they are, well, associated with death and potentially awaiting execution.
But where did he get this name? Who started calling him it? Given the recent season, could it be possible that he was given that label by the Division? Considering what the CIA had Vansell up to in his youth (I'm not sure how the Division and the CIA relate to each other, but there probably is some link), I'm willing to bet that that name was given to him because of the foreknowledge of what the Doctor would do in the future or perhaps knowledge of what he's already done in the past.
And Sigma, can't forget that. The hissing a scared animal does to frighten off predators. The operator for summation. Could that represent, perhaps, some deep, core fear of the Division and of those who hurt the Doctor in their youth? Fear that they can't even remember because of the mind wipes? A summation of all the fear the Doctor has felt from those who experimented on them and hurt them and killed them, and that fear continues even to that day since his nickname itself is a brand marking him for execution at some point in his timeline (Two to Three anyone? Six's trial? Rassilon was ready to have Twelve killed once he was no longer in the controlled environment of the Confession Dial and still refusing to tell him what he wanted to know).
And what exactly would someone do if they were constantly being chased by death itself, if they were afraid of something but could not remember precisely why?
They would run away, and they would never, never stop.
