Another Ghost Dragon Prompt? Indeed.
The Ward had made a mistake. Had stolen something that had caused the very Skies to lash out, entire worlds at risk from their actions.
Time Itself shrieked in rage at the loss of Its child, or at least that's how every magic user- and the speedsters, pale and shaken and looking sick- had described it.
Someone had taken the young prince of the Infinite, and it was not the Tyrant King, long since sealed away, that lead the charge, but the Queen Regent that many had long since forgotten.
Many forgot that it was not the Dark who courted Time, but Time who courted the Dark. That It was just, if not more so, merciless as Its partner, and would Devour worlds should Its child- still with newdeath soft scales- was not returned.
Which meant that for the heroes, there was now a Clock ticking down ever so quietly. They had to take care of what was a government branch, had to deal with consequences of going over the law, or their World would End in dragon fire.

No because Jimmy spending his episode “feeling bad” while committing the most heinous crimes, attempting murder, spreading lies, breaking up alliances and overall seeding trouble is sending me. The fact that the only time he did anything that had any real and lasting consequences was a complete accident is perhaps funnier.

Since Ji Ho had been able to fix Vlad's blindness before, they were looking for him. But he was nowhere to be found and didn't answer his phone.
Saiwa has a hunch: "What happened yesterday? I should have known making the farm visible couldn't have been solved this easily. Why are you blind, Vlad?"
They went back to the farm to see if Ji Ho is there.
Jack is already running inside.
Saiwa: "Vlad wait, Jeb is going to help you to dismount."
Vlad and his foolish pride...
Jeb: "I'm here, Vlad."
Vlad: "We need to leave immediately! Ji Ho went to Sulani! Alone!"
Saiwa: "Did Vlad fall on his head?"
Jeb: "I'm sorry, he was too fast. But Vlad, Ji Ho would never set a foot at Sulani again. His life there was a nightmare. Let's get you patched up and then we try to find Ji Ho."
Vlad: "NO! I've seen his dead brother, with the ghost and the shell! The shell resembles Sulani and the ghost Guidry, who also vanished at Sulani!"
Saiwa: "Vlad, that's nonsense. If he wanted to save his brother and Guidry, he would have told us and we would have helped him."
Vlad: "He thought he is a nuisance and a danger to us."
Saiwa: "Why would he think that? What happened that night?"
Vlad: "I wanted Ji Ho to be free to choose whom he loves and spare him from this 'save the world with making love' madness! So I wanted to cut our bond. I did this for you too. We can't be on the run forever. Each one of you deserves a life without this madness. Ji Ho must have had the same thoughts. You are all only in danger because of us and that damn bond."
Saiwa: "Do you really think that? What life would that be under the Council? Yes, we all want a better life - but this won't be possible without fighting for it! And that's why we are doing this!"
Saiwa: "So what happened?"
Vlad sighs: "I remembered the prophecy and Morgan's offer and I called her to bond with her and finally end this. She must have told Ji Ho about my intentions."
Saiwa started to cry: "I can't believe you did this. Why is no one ever talking to us before he does something stupid? But you didn't, right? Otherwise you couldn't have made the farm visible again, right? Tell me you didn't bond with Morgan!"
Vlad: "I couldn't. And she left." Saiwa: "Let me guess. Ji Ho does still think you did, right? Because you don't talk, right? Gods - I can't believe I shipped you!"
Saiwa squared his shoulders: "Get in the car. We're heading for Sulani."
Vlad is Jack's best friend. But Jack is not sure if he can forgive him this. But Saiwa will kill Vlad anyway after they found Ji Ho, so...
And this is how the Boys, Adriano, the goats and the horses left Chestnut Ridge.

I've shook my fist and asked God why

'Will there be more flowers next year?' Asked Captain Blackbeard ... 'I would think so' I replied ... 'and will the black and orange wigglies be on them?" ... 'I hope so ... now sit still for just two seconds more' I said ... 'and what about the invisible horses?' Asked Captain Blackbeard as he studied the long long grass 'will they be back?'... 'yes' i replied, 'they'll be back too' ...

I was writing a Darcy POV fic once and Darcy is dramatically riding towards Elizabeth and then I wrote something like, "And his servant was following behind."
And my beta reader was like, "Um, why is this guy here?" probably because it was ruining her vibe.
Well mostly because I highly doubt Darcy could dress himself and he's gotta get all pretty for Elizabeth (horseback riding makes you gross), but also because this is one of my favourite little bits in S&S:
Amongst the objects in the scene, they soon discovered an animated one; it was a man on horseback riding towards them... In a few minutes they could distinguish him to be a gentleman... They were soon within thirty yards of the gentleman... He dismounted, and giving his horse to his servant, walked back with them to Barton, whither he was purposely coming to visit them.
There were two men the whole time.

Cleared Lost Chapel today on my Hard run (after having to backtrack a 2 hours to an earlier save via Aeon timetravel powers to buy Freedom of Movement scrolls because Nulkineth has Mass Hold Monster on Hard+ 🙃) and man does it really feel like an actual Whatever It Takes Crusade.
THIS is narratively the Minovae and companions that fought through the horrifying legions of the Abyss that couldn't be beat for centuries. This is the counting every single cure light wounds wand and scroll and potion, stretching every resource to its absolute limit and letting people lie half-dead on the floor because it's too dangerous to pick them back up. This is swallowing your pride and actually using the child companion who is your precious daughter because Evil Eye will change the entire course of a fight dammit dammit dammit. This is a dragging yourself over the finish line "a victory is a fucking victory" damned war!
It's really juicing up my motivation and inspiration to write because the tone of the game matches the narrative to me so much now. It's also a nightmare of a slog and unfair as hell and I really don't recommend to players that don't have a really good pf1e system mastery! The amount of expletives I've yelled today has been obscene.
Anyway I'll never do Unfair because wtf Hard is already stupid.

Did the quest where Justin and Thomas reunite and hug on my alt account today. Honest to god cried a little. YES I've played this game before... but when I did it on my main that cutscene was broken in a way that made it more confusing and laughable than emotional. And like god damn. To whomever animated that fucking hug. Thank you for ruining me I owe you my life. The way Justin, traumatised and forever changed by being abused, manipulated, shunned, and/or cast aside by both of the opposing parties in a fast approaching war, finally returns home and falls into his father's arms, closes his eyes, buries his head in his father's shoulder? Absolutely heartwrenching, and the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
