Verzos: Demon of the Wilds, The Huntsman, Heart of the Woods

Summoning: You must stitch together a coat from.three of the most dangerous predators in the area(air, land, and sea). This vestment can be used multiple times. On the night of the full moon you must wear this coat and mark his sigils over your body with a mixture of ash and human bone. You must then chant his name 9 times and end with a howl to the moon. 

Description: Vurzos has the body of a bear with 6 legs, each ending in a paw with retractable claws. His head is lupine with 2 sets of eyes and a rack of antlers upon it's brow. His fur is matted and mangy, with vines of an unknown species weaved in and out of the fur, sporting thorns and flowers. His fur is as black as a moonless night. 

Offering: Rare and exotic prey animals, the intact pelt of a great hunter, 30 humanoid scalps. 

Rewards: For 2 weeks you may become a dire wolf once per day, For 2 weeks if you eat the heart of your enemies you gain their strength(Gain temporary HP of half slain creatures max HP. Limit is character level. Ex. A level 5 character can only ever get 5 temp HP from this. It does stack with other temp HP.), You may invoke a wild hunt on an individual, gain damage reduction to non-magical piercing, slashing, or bludgeoning unless the weapon is silver for 2 weeks.

As a dm how would you implement semblances into a 5e game friend of mine is trying this and I’m trying to help em out

If you want the simplest way, have your character choose a Spell that can act as their Semblance and allow them to use it a certain number of times a day or per short rest.

But if you want to feel like a Huntsman, then you may want to homebrew a whole new class system for it.

Arresting someone requires that you catch up to them first. This should help. Feel free to stack this with monk unarmoured movement, haste, and tabaxi feline agility to get 480 foot movement at level 19

I don't know if any of you guys know Blood in the Clocktower but I've been watching NRB's Blood in the Clocktower series and this plot bunny wouldn't stop banging against my head so here we go.

In a nutshell, Blood in the Clocktower is a deduction game that can be described as like 'Werewolves but on crack'.

All I can think of is a setup where AC characters are playing a homebrew game where Altaïr is the demon and Malik is one of his minions (much to his annoyance).

Altaïr is the Fang Gu which means that if he finds and tries to kill an Outsider at night, he dies instead and the Outsider becomes the next Fang Gu.

Malik is the Pit Hag so he can transform anyone into any roles that's not in use in the game so he just starts transforming everyone into Outsider roles both as a safety net to Altaïr and also so he would have the chance to stop being Altaïr's minion (fingers crossed).

But the kicker is that a Fang Gu automatically adds one Outsider in the game and the Outsider added?

Desmond... as the Damsel. XD

It's a very stressful game for Desmond because:

The evil team automatically knows there's a Damsel in play

If they guess he's the Damsel correctly, the good team loses

There might not even be a Huntsman (if the Huntsman picks the Damsel correctly at night, the Damsel turns into another role and even if he's been guessed by the minions, they won't lose) so Desmond can't trust anyone.

It would be funny if Desmond hardclaimed to someone and it turned out to be Altaïr who is like "Oh, okay, I found my escape route" so Desmond is kept alive for the rest of the game.

Funnier would be if Altaïr just keep picking off characters that aren't Outsiders and the town keeps killing the Outsiders Malik pit hagged so Malik just goes "fuck it" and transforms himself into a Leech or a Zombul and the arbitrary deaths that round would be Altaïr (who is the original demon) and Desmond (to finally give Desmond some breathing room).

Honestly, this is all an excuse to:

Make Altaïr a Fang Gu as a reference to how Fang Gu hopping 'hosts' can be like how the main characters of AC games always changes

Make Desmond a damsel to stress him out because LOOK AT THIS TOKEN:

Twisted Evil Queen’s Heart Box

Name: Lilith Capucine Boite

Meaning:

Lilith

-(Allegedly, according to a religious theory) the first woman before Eve, she was replaced because of her rebellion and unwillingness to submit to Adam.

Capucine

-French for ‘nasturtium,’ a beautiful flower(a nod towards her dorm) along with its leaves are popular for culinary and herbal uses.

Boite

-A small restaurant or nightclub, both of her parents having one respectively. Also french for ‘box,’ a hint to her role in Twisted Wonderland’s version of Snow White. She embodies the first attempt the Evil Queen made to kill Snow White, the Evil Queen’s box wherein the huntsman was supposed to put Snow White’s heart after she was killed.

“A graceful but intolerant girl who keeps her emotions in a box and lock away inside her heart, occasionally spills all of said feelings out onto a piece of paper with wording ‘worthy of The Seven,’ some would whisper.”

-“The Heart’s Lock” allows Lilith to see right through a person’s mind and soul, what happy things have happened to them, what bad things have happened to them, what they lacked during childhood, what they need to heard etc. but if push comes to shove, she can and will use this against someone. Whether it be by words that target their weaknesses or subtle but obvious reminders of their trauma.

A well-known actress, has worked with Neige before in a drama as the latter’s mentor. Owns a nightclub where 4th years from both RSA and NRC seem to frequent at.

Father, Ryder Boite

-A screenplay script writer, also a successful author. Intelligent and creative, but he seems to be more knowledgeable in arts than with dealing his and other’s emotions. A less frequent figure in Lilith’s life, but doting regardless. Owns a little(but popular) restaurant that was built to serve dishes from all over Twisted Wonderland and understand each other’s cultures.

Older brother, Gabriel Boite

-A successful business man, someone you’d assume to be serious from just looking at him, but oh boy does Lilith say that’s the complete opposite. Playful, even in professional environments he seems to inject some life in it with jokes. Protective and caring, but questions himself ever so often.

Killifishes are mostly temperamental, and they don’t get along with Betta fishes.

Dislikes Neige, but would still smile at him should he smile at her first.

Her and Gabriel get along as siblings would usually do, with the banter and mild violence as a love language.

Avoided Idia during her first year, but started interacting with him when she made friends with Ortho.

A Fresh Set Of Eyes

Hey everyone <3 I’m gonna be a presence on Tumblr again!

A little over a year ago, I went on an indefinite hiatus from this account in the interest of pursuing better mental health. The response I got was supportive, and ultimately was very helpful for me.

It’s been a very busy year --- I’ve celebrated the one-year anniversary of my marriage, then helped my person graduate college, moved to a new apartment, advanced along the path of coming out, and more --- and while life is still an uphill battle, I’m in a much better place than I was last year. In the last couple weeks, I’ve started itching to come back to Tumblr.

However, I’m likely returning in a new capacity! Much of my desire to homebrew has been rekindled in the last few months by beginning my first ever collaborative homebrew project with a couple of friends --- and oh boy, this is a big undertaking. I don’t think we’ve bitten off more than we can chew, but this project is going to keep me busy for some time.

Watch this space in the near future for updates, teasers, and (hopefully soon) a full playtest release.

In the meantime, feel free to reach out! I have no clue how many of the people I once met and interacted with are still active in this space, but for some reason I’ve even gotten new followers since I left on my hiatus. I look forward to reconnecting with old friends and discovering new faces alike.

Finally, as a personal aside --- The Huntsman was, and to some extent still is, a fun and useful character through which to present my homebrew projects. However, he has grown distant from who I actually am as time has passed.

I’m delighted to be back and ecstatic to share what I’ve been working on.

okay like in infinity war the iron man suit is ‘nanobots’ but it’s really gone from plausibly physics denying to a complete damn absurdity meanwhile Rhodey is still flying whatever the hell Tony gave him back in like 2010.

This is obviously to give Tony more recriminations about Rhodey after he gets shot down in civil war but like it’s also commentary on the disparity between what a mad engineer with a huge budget and no regulation can do vs the propaganda message from the DoD itself about how the us military is out of date and needs more money to be updated

This blog is being run as a secondary blog by @the-huntsmans-homebrews, and will be used as a sort of archive of all the previews, news, updates, and so on associated with their ongoing project: a full length Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition supplement in the style of Xanathar’s Guide to Everything and Ghosts of Saltmarsh. Whats your favorite piece of homebrew on the blog?

I’d have to say the Chained Ancient subclass by @the-huntsmans-homebrews. It’s such a visually appealing and detailed piece of home brew, it’s stuck out to me ever since I posted it due to its almost official nature. Besides that, look under #s a v e if you want to see other pieces that caught my eye.
