Alley made her film debut in 1982 in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, playing the Vulcan Starfleet officer Lieutenant Saavik,  In 1985, she played Virgilia Hazard in the ABC miniseries North and South, books I and II.
In 1987 she joined the cast of NBC sitcom Cheers, replacing Shelley Long and remaining with the show until its eleventh and final season.
Alley has won two Emmy Awards. After two nominations for her work on Cheers, in 1988 and 1990, she won for her third, in 1991. She earned her second for the 1994 television film David's Mother.   For her contributions to the film industry, Alley received a motion pictures star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in 1995.
In 1997, Alley received a further Emmy nomination for her work in the crime drama series The Last Don. In 2005, she played a fictionalized version of herself on Showtime's Fat Actress. She later appeared on Kirstie Alley's Big Life (2010). In 2016, she appeared on the Fox comedy horror series Scream Queens

TV Land aired a sitcom that centered on Alley as a Broadway star and a new parent. It was titled Kirstie, and reunited her with former Cheers co-star Rhea Perlman and Seinfeld star Michael Richards. The series premiered on December 4, 2013, and ran for one season before it was canceled, five months after ending its freshman run.
In February 2011, Alley was announced as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. In May, Alley and Chmerkovskiy performed their final dance, also a cha-cha-cha, which earned them a perfect score of 30 out of 30. Alley finished the competition in second place, behind NFL Super Bowl champion Hines Ward. She also took part in the 15th season of Dancing with the Stars for a second chance to win the mirrorball trophy again with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. They were the seventh couple eliminated from the competition.
In 2022, Alley competed in season seven of The Masked Singer as "Baby Mammoth" of Team Cuddly.  (Wikipedia)

So my library used to hold movie nights and every movies she picked for us was on par, it was mostly Marvel, Harry Potter, Star Wars, things like that. 88. Have you ever spoiled a movie for someone by accident?
I left a discord server because mods told me I had to spoiler talking about Avengers Infinity War 2 years after it came out. 2 years. Because some people hadn’t watched it and didn’t want spoilers. If you haven’t seen it 2 years later that’s on you. Deal.

Jupiter Ascending, but to be fair the whole movie was bad the acting was just part of poor writing partially I think
95. Can you think of a movie where one scene ruined the whole thing?
It doesn’t ruin the movie but because I’m somewhat sex-repulsed I’m not a huge fan of the sex scenes in American Psycho and I would watch it more if not for that.
96. Are you a “Tommy-texter” during movies or a “shhhing Susan”?
What the fuck does this even mean. If I’m at home with my mom sure I’ll text and so will she but if I’m at the movies I won’t but I’m also not going to shush people I have anxiety. If I’m watching movies with friends we’ll talk during it.

Watching movies with my friends at the library
98. A movie or performance you thought deserved an Oscar?

The Masked Singer: S11 E1 (Season 11 Premiere, Rita Ora Joins the Judging Panel)
It’s time for a brand new season of The Masked Singer, and this season a new judge will be joining the panel. Rita Ora, who has judged on the British version of the show, will be taking over for Nicole Scherzinger this season as Nicole is doing a run in the revival of Sunset Boulevard in London’s West End.
It looks like this season will have the same format as the last few seasons. As always, I post before I see any unmaskings, so what you see here are my guesses, not spoilers.
Goldfish 🐠: Was an overnight sensation. Felt like she was living in a fishbowl. A jar of hearts. Two kisses 💋 and a glass slipper. Well, the “Jar of Hearts” could be a reference to the Christina Perri song of the same name. But she doesn’t sound like Christina Perri. The glass slipper could suggest she was in a movie adaptation of “Cinderella”, of which there’s been many. So it could be any of Lily James, Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Anna Kendrick, Drew Barrymore, and so on. The bonus clue is a gold record. But there has also been several theatrical productions based off of Cinderella, and one of the judges also brought up Carly Rae Jepsen, who was in a Broadway revival of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella and played the title character. “Overnight sensation” could refer to both her run on Canadian Idol (in which she finished in 3rd place in the show’s fifth season) and her hit single “Call Me Maybe” taking off seemingly overnight. And the kisses? She released an album called Kiss. I’m going with Carly Rae Jepsen for the moment.
Starfish ⭐️: Met Steve Martin and Whitney Houston. Four leaf clover, a Cabbage Patch-like doll. Might be a comedian. The voice is making me think of Jennifer Coolidge from Legally Blonde. Bonus clue: streamed over 50 billion minutes in a single year. Molly Shannon is also a good guess.
Ugly Sweater 🧶: Was wheeled in and may seemingly be an older man. A rabbit in a hat, and he had some hard times. A blue record. The bonus clue: a sweater reading “Featuring”. I’m a little bit stumped, but I think Verdine White from Earth, Wind & Fire may be the best guess here for now. The Flo Rida record Robin Thicke was referring to was “I Don’t Like It, I Love It”, which featured Verdine White on bass. While he’s not particularly as known for his vocals as his bandmates Maurice White (Verdine’s half-brother) and Philip Bailey were, he has performed vocals with the group.
Lovebird 🦜: Says he’s a hopeless romantic. A pink and yellow heart. A wedding cake topper with no bride. A watch with #1 on the face, a pair of dice that add up to 5. My guess is that he’s appeared on The Bachelor or one of its related shows. The bonus clue: a TV screen reading “Leading Man”. He sounds kind of young-ish, and I initially thought he was “Diver” last season (who turned out to be Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules), but I’m going to go with this guess again: Nick Viall from The Bachelor.
Book 📖: He has stories for days and a really good vocabulary. A detective badge and a sign for an open mic night. His mom had a huge influence on him. A ghost, and he is covering a song by last season’s winner Ne-Yo and he wants to prank a friend. Just from the sound of his voice, this has to be Kevin Hart. And his friend? He was in The Real Husbands of Hollywood with both Robin Thicke and Nick Cannon. He’ll likely be the first one eliminated, and if he somehow survives elimination, he’ll unmask himself anyway. And the height of his costume from the soles of his feet to the top of his hat, he’s barely as tall as Nick Cannon! Great prank, sir!

Week 5 - The Rise of Reality TV
Politics, power, and celebrity landscapes have all been significantly affected by reality television. Many people have become exceedingly wealthy as a result; Kim Kardashian's net worth is $1.8 billion. From Harry Styles, Kelly Clarkson, and Cardi B on the pop charts (appearing on The X Factor, American Idol, and Love & Hip Hop: New York, respectively) to Jennifer Hudson, Laverne Cox, and Emma Stone in Hollywood (first seen on Idol, I Want to Work for Diddy, and VH1's In Search of the Partridge Family), reality stars have infiltrated every aspect of the entertainment industry (Berman 2022).
Many people enjoy their guilty pleasure of watching reality television. It is an effective approach to reduce stress and remain current with culture. Even if some people dislike the idea of "unscripted documentation of people's lives," viewing such programmes may be advantageous and even profitable for the producers. According to The Perspective, a history website, studies have shown that this kind of programming improves mood and raises significant social issues that may be discussed and assessed. A University of Missouri–Columbia research discovered that this type of television has a good effect on its viewers (Omusolo 2022).
But if you take reality TV seriously, you have to hold it responsible for the frequently terrible things it does. The vacuous blonde, the furious Black guy, and the witty homosexual man are all stereotypes that are still reinforced by the editing of shows. The idea that women are shallow, petty gossips is the foundation of docusoaps. It is encouraged to engage in conspicuous consumerism, and excessive riches is seen as a goal in and of itself. Reality romances with LGBTQ casts are still uncommon, despite the fact that almost every straight dating programme engages in gender essentialism (which is why Are You the One?'s lone sexually fluid season, which aired in 2019, was a revelation). Disabled people are treated like freak show merchandise. Asian and Latinx Americans continue to be underrepresented, and recent efforts to make up for it, like Indian Matchmaking, may have done more harm than good. Even seeing The Masked Singer makes you anxious about humming along with a supporter of insurrections (Berman 2022).

The Masked Singer Season 5 Episode 12 aka the last one of the season: THE FINALE BABY... we be done! (Commentary & Everyone’s Unmasked so Guessing No More)
Hello everyone! Welcome or welcome back to Ana’s Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every single episode of The Masked Singer. This is the last one for a while until season 6 comes out (I might be doing other pop culture stuff on this blog... I feel like it is turning into just a Masked Singer blog lol but I promise this time between seasons I will 100% be doing more dynamic stuff... I mean AGT is coming on Tuesday so who knows? I don’t wanna make promises, but we’ll see what I get ideas wise) and the finale didn’t disappoint (well, it kinda did, but we’ll talk about it in a min). 3 people got unmasked and we are gonna go in reverse place wonder (as in 3rd then 2nd then 1st place) so yeah let’s get into it...
Alright so firstly, the mask who came in 3rd place is...
*DRUMROLL PLEASE*
Chameleon 🦎
Who was revealed to be (as I and a lot of others suspected)
Wiz Khalifa
Tumblr media
Commentary: Yeah, I mean this doesn’t surprise me one bit (both who he was and that he was 3rd), this so reminds me of season 3 when it ended. He sang Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio and it was good, nothing different to his other performances. He is a great rapper y’all, he’s Wiz freaking Khalifa (he said people might think he is too cool for this show, because he legit is too cool for this show), but yeah I just feel like the other 2 are better SINGERS and this is the Masked SINGER so like a rapper who doesn’t sing (because T-Pain is a rapper who could sing and he won season 1) winning really doesn’t make sense tbh. I knew this one tho, so we are at 12 out of the 13 revealed so far that I guessed correctly.
Now onto our runner-up who was...
*DRUMROLL PLEASE*
Black Swan 🦢🖤
Who was revealed to be... my girl:
Miss Jojo!
Tumblr media
Commentary: She sang How am I supposed to live without you by Micheal Bolton, and like OMG YESSSS GIRL SINGGGGG. Like wow this was one of her best performances since the Super 8 Kings of Leon song... like dude she should have won, this was a winning performance. Jojo did get snubbed in my humble opinion, but you know what it’s ok... she’s in very great company with the runner-ups from previous seasons, like Turtle (Jesse McCartney), Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry), Mushroom (Aloe Blacc), and Peacock (Donny Osmand)... that’s an amazing line-up right there, and then add Miss Jojo who is just a queen in her own right and that line-up is just chef’s kiss amazing. Btw her new song, Creature of Habit, is absolutely a bop, y’all should check it out, (as if she needs my freaking promo, but she’s giving us looks and vocals omg). Anyway, another one bites the dust, and bam I got it right again yay! That is 13 out of 14 reveals thus far... only 1 left.
Now, for our season 5 winner, which is...
*DRUMROLL PLEASE*
Piglet 🐷
Who was revealed to be (I knew this one too):
Nick Lachey
Tumblr media
Commentary: Wow, we have a winner ladies and gents. I didn’t honestly expect him to win, my money was honestly on Black Swan, I really wanted to her to win so bad... but I knew if he sang a ballad this finale, he would have a good shot of winning, and that is exactly what he did. He sang Faithfully by Journey and it was one of his strongest performances, so I really knew he had as good of a chance as Black Swan to win. I mean Nick Lachey did a great job, I am not mad by any means (like how I was w Night Angel winning in Season 3) but it wasn’t the result I hoped for. Anyways, congrats Pig! U did it bro!
That is a wrap on season 5 everyone! I’ll see y’all on the next one! Bye 👋🏼
