I don't know if anyone already has asked this(ignore this if they have), but does Soundwave know about the whole Getaway saga and what are his thoughts on it ?

Good question. I haven't thought about this much because it would open up SO MUCH STUFF that I have no plans to go into. I'm gonna go with, he's probably heard things here or there, but Movie Night hasn't shown him much about it, and people generally prefer not to talk about it [many of the characters we see periodically were part of the mutiny, including Perceptor and Bluestreak]. The mutany was thousands of dimensions ago so it's not really on the forefront of anyone's mind at any given time, unless they are prompted to think about it [which is why we see Aquafend think about it, when he did] So ehh... vaguely aware? It's fascinating for sure, and something I think would be neat to see the characters talk about and struggle with explaining, but the fic is currently not structured to deal with the topic.

I had a red herring mention of Getaway initially planned for the Irradion arc, but ultimately cut it because that arc was already very complex.

However... Cyclonus was present for Rodimus's rescue of Getaway, and Getaway's ultimate demise. Plans are nebulous at the moment but if we get a mention, it'll be through Cyc (though his focus will be talking about Rodimus, not Getaway).

my absolute favourite thing about the kirk and spock dynamic is that the whole time you’re watching the show spock is gaslighting you into thinking that kirk is this loose canon and spock is paragon of logic keeping his captain on the straight and narrow when its very clearly the other way round. aside from being turned on by everyone and fighting like an old-timey boxer…. kirk is just like.. quite a logical, stable guy. like yeah he rules with his emotions but he’s rarely reckless or erratic, even in situations of immense pressure he’s always calm and measured. sure kirk is unhinged and insane, but we knew that right off the bat. spock on the other hand tries to hide how insanely balls to the walls crazy he is by standing next to jim and hiding all his derangement with logic. i think the reason bones beefs with spock so much because he is the only one who has noticed that spock is an absolutely unhinged individual. (jim is too busy doodling <3 mr jim spock <3 all over his briefings to notice)

I love this so much and am going to be staring at it forever. Charlie's dedication to the canon descriptions of these two, the details in the costuming from the show (including the mockingjay feather at the end of Katniss's braid!), the lighting, the dandelion at the center of it all. It makes my heart SO happy!

Idk I just think it’s so interesting how Hickey uses names and titles as a tool to manipulate the people around him (especially the mutineers). Calling Tozer “sergeant” when he’s first convincing him to mutiny, to play into his desire to follow his rank and protect. Switching to “Solomon” when he’s trying to get Tozer to open up more about the Tuunbaq. Intentionally not calling Jopson “Lieutenant” after his promotion as a subtle dig. How often he says Billy’s name, especially during the ring scene and when Billy’s entertaining the idea of a mutiny before the walk out (“speak your mind, Billy”). Smugly directing his story about kidnapping Silna to “Captain Crozier” and only Captain Crozier, then after kidnapping him only referring to him as “Mr. Crozier” and making the mutineers do the same (but Hodgson, who’s not loyal but is at least complacent to Hickey, stays “Lieutenant Hodgson”). Calling Tommy, who’s always Tommy or Mr. Armitage, “Private Armitage” when he’s ordering him to brutalize Crozier, because Hickey knows he’s always wanted to be a marine, so in his camp he’s given him the rank of one. It adds an such an interesting layer to Hickey’s “reconfigure, reinvent, rearrange” speech.
